It's been a few days since Kyori's fight with Shisui and while it may have been ridiculous to storm out on him, the burgundette truly didn't believe it was. Instead of coming to a clear mind and talking things out like the young adults they were capable of being, Kyori in particular was bent on being done with him. And she knew it was wrong for her to do, just like she knew that she was only further inflaming their issue. But she would go no-contact for as long as she was upset and hurt.
She just wasn't ready to talk. Apart of her was afraid that their issue wouldn't be easily resolved. Maybe she was being slightly irrational, but she could see things getting worse; instead of talking, they would find another thing to argue about and it would just—keep on going. And Kyori didn't want that, so she felt a tad more justified for ducking and dodging him over what could have been a misunderstanding. But was it?
Shisui knew that she wanted to move on, just like he knew that she was ashamed, tired of being condemned due to her behavior in the past and she ultimately was trying to rectify what she could. She would cry to him about these sorts of issues all the time, and still… it hadn't stopped him from doubting her just as Danzo or Fu had.
And while Kyori knew his concerns were valid, the only thing he managed to do was hurt her with the truth: she has never been just friends with Fu Yamanaka. Now, even she was doubting if she ever could just be anything to anyone. Including Shisui.
Kyori truly felt that her being in a healthy relationship was on the brink of being impossible. There were so many faults within her, so many reasons for anyone she would partner with to doubt her. It made her wonder if all she would ever be good for was sex. It seemed to be the only thing she was consistent with. That, and lowering her self respect. Maybe this was what her father meant by her being boy crazy? She willingly jeopardized everything in sight when it came to a boy.
"I really need to get fucking a hobby!" the burgundette whined as her eyes bore holes into the translucent, glittering saffron fabric of her canopy. Her eyes were tearing up and her throat swelled with sorrow at how the days progressed since Shisui had returned.
As far as she understood things, their budding relationship and maybe even the idea of them going back to just being friends was over too. And since they weren't on speaking terms, she came to the conclusion that the next time they were to speak… they would officially part way if not come to verbal blows.
So she urged herself to keep her mouth shut.
No matter how much he pleaded for the opposite…
"Kyori sweetie!" Hizume shouted as she collected her bag and dutifully skipped towards the door. "Sai and I will be out to have a talk with your father, come down and lock the door!"
A long-winded groan escaped the teen's lips, but she hauled herself out of bed and with very little enthusiasm, Kyori trampled down the two flights of stairs where she was greeted by her mother's glowing smile. Hizume looked absolutely amazing in her carmine, off the shoulder dress and she must've felt it too by the smile that graced her face.
"Why such the long face, sleepyhead? Is everything okay?" the mother of three turned to her oldest child, knowing more than she'd let on. Kyori really didn't have to say anything as Hizume had eyes, and she knew her child well enough. But she was hoping that her daughter would feel as though she could tell her anything, free of judgment.
"You know, silly stuff." The young girl openly pouted, already knowing what her mother would advise her to do had she disclosed anything about her issues with a certain Uchiha. "Teenage girl drama," she murmured lamely, but that's all it really was.
Wasn't it just frivolous boy problems that would probably be something she can laugh about in adulthood? She sure as hell hoped so.
"Okay sweetie." Hizume graced her daughter an all-knowing stare as she briskly pursed her lips. She wasn't going to pry. But she would give her daughter the push she needed when it's least expected. "I will let you handle that, while I handle your baby brother."
Kyori nodded. Her eyes widening as she caught her mother mumbling about raising a lewd son that debagged some little blond girl at school.
'Must have been Ino-chan… another Yamanaka.' The burgundette blanched internally at that while she waved at her mother that was driving off the pristine cobbled lot. Her outward expression cracked, quickly morphing into scowl once her tired brown eyes flicked over her neighborhood. Across the street was a very familiar black sedan.
It look like there was one less talk she could no longer avoid.
Avoiding communication in general seemed to be an ongoing theme for her since she was also in no rush to speak to Fu either. But as she was now face to face with the honey eyed Yamanaka, it look like she couldn't forgo answering his questions no matter how pissy of a mood she was in.
"I get that you want answers, but I'm in no mood to do this right now." Kyori stressed as she brought her attention away from the Yamanaka who decided to sit across from her. Her eyes now focused the marmalade sweater-threaded coasters upon the coffee table. "I really wish you hadn't come."
"I know and I apologize for that but you made a promise to me." Fu stared at her, sighing when she didn't spare him a glance and sat further away while crossing both her arms and legs. "So the least you can do is answer my questions, Kyori."
"Fine." She rolled her eyes before allowing them to land on him. "So… what do you wanna know?" The Shimura watched as her former boy-toy welcomed himself to the kitchen and appeared with two glasses and a brand new bottle of her mom's Bacardi. "What the fuck are you doing?!" she demanded with eyes wide with terror as he cracked the bottle open and poured them both a drink.
Fu scowled in response, wondering if he had done something wrong. He must've not known that she hasn't had a drink since she returned. "I figured we might need a drink. I will buy your mom a new one anyways." He shrugged, reclining on the long off-white sofa. "This might take a while afterall."
Kyori scoffed as he took a sip. He was probably trying to get her drunk and sleep with her. It was partially because of him that both her father and Shisui couldn't trust her; he made her do bad things, or rather he gave her incentive.
"You do know that, I'm done with you right?" the burgundette shook her head full of kinky tresses, her eyes puckered with disgust for the teen across from her. "And after this talk, you're back to being dead to me."
Fu raised a brow at that before going for another swig. "Sounds like you're trying to convince yourself to stay away from me. I have not said anything about us."
Actually, he haven't said much, and she was already uncomfortable and stressing about the talk they were about to have. Immediately, that made her pick up the glass, clutching it as she struggled with whether or not she should have a swig. Kyori knew that she shouldn't drink; she would get awfully sick on top of doing something absolutely fucking stupid. Not to mention, minors really shouldn't be drinking in the first place. But she honestly couldn't deal with speaking to him about why things went left like this, not while being sober.
'Not a chance in hell,' she thought and with a harsh grimace. So, the brooding Shimura downed the rum, almost wincing asthe searing liquid traveling down her throat. There was no way she could back out of this. Now it was to wallow in the depths of her hollowed stomach.
"Why are you here, if it's not about you and me?" she asked, smacking her now half-emptied glass onto the one of the many coasters laid about. The burgundette was not sure if she was permitted to really ask but she did so anyways. "Aren't there things you're dying to know?"
"You tell me?" the auburn haired teen shot back before following her lead as he downed his entire glass before filling it back up. "Actually, why don't we start?" he then laughed for a short while, glancing at her bored expression. "Why are you with Uchiha?"
"Why are you asking me that when you're with Maki?"
"What if I wasn't?" he challenged, his stony medallion eyes then gauged the Shimura girl's expression, a frown worked a way to his face at the sight of her cackling.
"I'd say you're a damn liar since we've been down that road before." The burgundette shook her head. Taking her very first sip, she nearly flinched at the taste but welcomed the idea of having less inhibitions. She would need it for this particular conversation. "So are you really curious as to why we're not together or are you just looking for a fight?" she asked, her eyes fell onto her lap.
"I know it was because of me, but I have to ask… if it weren't for Maki, would you have taken me back?" much like his distant cousin, Inoichi, the redhead watched her body language as he looked for any cues. But Kyori gave nothing away, aside from the displeasure that was apparent on her face. She really didn't want to answer that question.
"Prior to dating Shisui? Yes," the girl mumbled, hoping he'd understand why she worded things as she did. She really didn't wanna give him hope for something that couldn't possibly happen. She then added for extra assurance, "Now that I'm seeing him, absolutely not."
Fu simpered to himself, throwing back his glass of rum in the face of rejection. The liquor did well to mend any hurting she could've caused. "That's ridiculous."
"How so?" she arched a brow, wondering what delusions were occupying his mind. "I'd know what I want more than anybody else."
"For one, I'm with you tonight. Not him," the teen said matter of factly, his arrogance alone made the Shimura girl's eyes roll practically into the next dimension.
"You being here doesn't change the fact that it's not you that I want." Kyori crossed her arms over her chest before leaning back. "Do you have any other questions?" she asked despite not wanting to be in his presence.
"How about this— you could be with any other guy, so why him when it causes so much trouble?"
Kyori frowned and brought her attention elsewhere when he dragged those amber shards up her body. She really didn't understand why his inquiries were so centered on her dating. For one, it was no longer his business to be this concerned… outside of whatever work he did for her father, of course. Seeing as he was attentive in his wait for her response she pondered briefly. Immediately that blackened, slimy feeling returned the moment she thought of her issues with Shisui, and ultimately missing him despite how he had upset her .
Umber brown eyes bore into her glass, wondering if another cup would hurt. "Shisui's a great guy despite what Papa or you may think." A smile wedged its way onto her lips as she thought of the time he ditched with her. "He's really kind, great company, even better kisser-" she bit her lips as her body began to heat up at the thought of Shisui being worth the trouble. The burgundette wasn't sure if the heat was acquired through drinking or blushing. "Anyways, makes me laugh, and he's so attentive to my needs, he comforts me and – "
"And yet, you're spending the night drinking in with me," Fu interjected quite smugly. But before Kyori could fix her face to draw up a quip, he proceeded to cut her off again. "If he's all these great things, why are you avoiding him?"
"Well-" the brown skinned girl paused. She felt that had she told Fu more about her tiff with Shisui, he would gain confidence in knowing how him being in close proximity with her was affecting her and Shisui's relationship. And as stupid as she was, she wasn't dumb enough to deliberately allow Fu to jeopardize what she had with Shisui. Nor was the girl drunk enough. "That's really none of your business."
"Kyori did something happened?" the Yamanaka perked up at the sight of her developing frown, he was now sitting at the edge of his seat pouring another cup for the both of them. "Did you two break up?"
Graciously, she took her cup and took careful sips in between facing him. A frown was present on her lips as he waited for an answer. "I'm not talking about this, not with you."
"So you and him are over," the red head mused. His amber eyes has risen onto the ceiling as he leaned backwards, elated. "You're father will be happy to know that."
"I never said we broke up."
"You didn't have to," Fu mumbled as he brought his eyes on her. "It would explain him following you like a puppy, begging for another chance." The teen the chortled. "It's really pathetic but I can understand chasing you."
Kyori raised a brow, not sure if she wanted the Yamanaka to elaborate. "Okayyy."
His deep amber gaze trailed up her person, skimming her legs and bits of her cleavage before settling on those fudge brown eyes that bled with annoyance. "You're worth it."
"Alright," the burgundette blew out, ultimately tired. "If we're gonna talk about Shisui, you can leave." Kyori then fixed a nasty glare onto her so-called old friend before downing the rest of her drink. "I don't need you running back to tell my father anything and making things worse."
"My lips are sealed."
At that she cackled, making his stone-like expression crack. And as she was rolling her eyes, she caught the slightest smirk tugging at his lips." Yeah and that comes with a price."
"Right you are," he confirmed before taking a few sips.
Her brows raised along with her hand that cradled the glass. "So what do you want from me?"
"We can discuss that later, since I still have questions for you." The grin at his lips tersely vanished as he settled into his seat, the liquor undoubtedly tossed out all sorts of inhibitions as it graced him with both courage and audacity. "Why did you leave me? That night in Kiri… I thought we agreed on working things out."
"Fu," the Shimura girl sighed. She downed her drink, only to refill it as she found it hard to formulate words without hurting him. If Kyori could, she would avoid getting into a nasty fight with Fu. It was bad enough that she barely had fulfilling conversations since her fallout with Shisui. "I already planned on leaving you the moment I decided to go to Kiri." Fudge brown eyes never wavered while they laid on his honey ones. "I was convinced that you were never going to leave Maki, and at the time I was hopeful about somebody else."
"Hm, you mean that loser that you were drooling all over the night I had left?" The red-head snuffed out the urge to chuckle at the surprise and embarrassment riddled in her eyes. She clearly didn't know that he was there to witness it all. "Yeah… I've known all about that."
"How long? How long did you know about him?"
"Since you started talking to him. I just thought he was like the others, just a part of the plan to make me straighten up my act." Fu simpered briefly until he thought of the night he saw her in the mans arms. He remembered how much it had hurt to see her seemingly happier without him. His lighthearted expression soured, immediately. "It worked, but it was much too late to win you back."
"Hey..." The burgundette looked down as her face blistered with shame. Her mouth trembled as she struggled to speak on what was the biggest mistake of her life thus far. It was something that she hardly had the strength to go over with Inoichi. But today, she would face Fu, knowing she had to hold herself accountable. "I'm really sorry for hurting you, and that you had to see me like that. I was wrong to lie to you and I don't expect you to forgive me for all the trouble or pain I've caused."
Fu sighed, not knowing how to feel about her apology. A part of him had forgiven her long ago and still loved her despite it all while the other part of him resented her and was fueled by anger to never let her live in peace after what she has done. "Kyori-" his caramel eyes caught her rapidly ridding her eyes of tears. "I'm sorry for pushing you into that situation, had I treated you better none of this would have ever happened."
"Stop it," she grumbled, placing her empty cup aside. Even though she agreed that things could've panned out differently, she didn't want him to dwell on it any longer. "We both know that what happened wasn't all your fault. Just like we know now that we were never good for each other Fu."
"That's not true!"
"It is. I was vindictive with you and you're too selfish for me…" Kyori shrugged off the pain her words brought her. "It's better this way. Now if you don't mind, I don't want to talk about that Kiri stuff anymore." And to make sure of that, she got up from her seat and gather her glass along with the bottle of Bacardi and stormed over to the kitchen.
"Kyori."
She rolled her eyes, and a frown pulled at her lips as she heard the fabric of his sweats rubbing together. Of course he would follow her into the kitchen.
"Are we seriously not going to talk about this any further?"
No answer.
The liquor was beginning to set in and she really didn't want for all that was accomplished during their talk to be reduced to another argument. But it was Fu; he knew how to get to her in the worst way as he was growing considerably persistent, and the alcohol wasn't helping.
"Kyori, talk. Argue. Yell if you want, but don't ignore me." he pleaded and although she seemed to be done with this conversation, still felt the urge to comply once more. "I've been waiting so long to have this talk with you."
"And we've had it." Kyori turned to face him and crossed her arms over her chest. "Now, I got nothing to say and I think it's time for you to leave."
"But I have a lot to say."
Did she look like his fairy god mother or something? Kyori repressed a scoff and narrowed her eyes. "Not that I care, but what's left to talk about? I gave you your closure."
"Is that what you though this was?" Fu frowned at her. "I'm here to tell you that I'm tired of sticking it out with Maki while seeing you with Uchiha. I'm done acting like I don't care when it's making me sick!" The disgust was so evident in his voice that it made the girl shrink a bit. "Kyori you can't trust him nor can you even be with him in peace, so why are you doing this?"
"Because I want to..." The burgundette blinked, not understanding why he would even ask her something like that. And last time she checked, she wasn't the one that has issues trusting… Shisui as great as he was, he couldn't trust her. "Why are you so stuck on this?"
"Clearly, you don't see that you're being reckless," the boy hissed.
She was unsure if it was fitting of her to feel pissed and astonished at the same time. But she gave him the benefit of the doubt, considering his words resulted in painful guffaws. He really had come over here unannounced to condemn her. Well he could join the cue and fuck off. She stood there digesting all that he thrown at her and she could just feel herself growing angry.
"I'm being reckless because I would rather be with him than you? Fine, so be it!" she exclaimed with her arms flailing about because of how off-putting his words were. "Just because you're unhappy with Maki doesn't mean you can run back to me and ruin a good thing, " the Shimura spat, hurtfully.
And the Yamanaka felt it.
"Really Kyori?" His hazel gaze looked at her as if she had lost all forms of sense. Fu laughed, his index finger jutting out and onto her. "Then why am I here right now and Uchiha isn't? You're delusional!" He exclaimed with a smug smirk as she reclined in her seat, frowning. "How could he possibly be a good thing when you're fucking that loser to get back at me!?"
"I'm done getting back at you just like I'm done giving you a chance," she uttered, not feeling drunk enough to admit that she hasn't been intimate with Shisui whatsoever. A grin broke onto her face as she thought of something clever to say but the girl couldn't help but to tactlessly giggle as her umber eyes fell on a seething hazel pair. If he was just going to shame and scold her, she was going to stoop lower, passing the gates of hell while she was at it.
"Why are you laughing?!"
Because it was so like him to act as if he cared for her. Since the beginning, he was the one ruining them and yet she was still being blame. Still being targeted. Still being hurt. And here he was being the same person she has left roughly a year ago.
Yamanaka Fu was incapable of changing and again, Shisui was right to feel as he did. Kyori knew things would only get messier, but at this point, she couldn't find it in her heart to care. So she took an ample swig from the bottle before setting her eyes on the boy she used to love. She couldn't believe she risked things with Shisui to give Fu a shot at closure and possibly being friends again.
"This was a waste of time!" She nearly cackled in his face as her footsteps ate at the distance, her eyes were dead on him. "I did it a lot of things to get back at you. And for the past few weeks I tried to make it right."
"I know and I'm sorry about that."
"Whatever." Kyori spared a terse glance at the strawberry blond and she shook her head, pitifully at what she saw. He looked as though he was ready to kneel down and kiss her feet as there was a twinkle of remorse in those stale caramel eyes of his; it was as if all the anger and resentment in him had dispersed and he suddenly came to the realization that he was only pushing her further away. "I'm so done with you."
Fu inhaled deeply, exhaling through his nostrils as his jaw was clinched tightly. His taut muscles were plausibly withholding the anger. "I hope you know, I'll always regret how I treated you. But I need you to listen…" Fu reluctantly, reached for her hand and to his dismay, she pulled away from his touch as if it harmed her.
That alone, made him feel obtrusively unwanted. Seeing his first love even going as far as to completely step away from him and settle onto the island near the sink had left a bitter taste in his mouth. And it further fueled his anger for the Uchiha along with the need to win her back.
"I really I hate fighting you and acting like there's nothing wrong when there is. Kyori, I miss you and I really want for us t-"
"There is no fucking us," Kyori muttered coldly, she was growing tired of playing this idiotic game of back and forth. "I don't think I can ever give you that chance to be a part of my life." she brought her eyes elsewhere, wondering how Shisui would feel if he saw her rejecting the Yamanaka. All because of him. "You've seriously overstayed your welcome."
The red head stomped towards her with purpose, settling himself right between the burgundette's thighs which only frustrated her. How was she supposed to dismiss him when it seemed as though he was the only person that wanted her? Did she lack dignity as of now? She hadn't wanted to think about it and so she took another sip from the bottle, this one being a gulp as she hoped that there would be less on her mind.
"Kyori, don't do this, I have been thinking of you nonstop since your first day back!" The ROOT recruit observed her closely, staring deep into those pools of fudge as he had begun to feel hopeful since she didn't move to push him away. "I still love you."
All the anger she felt a minute ago, fell away from her momentarily as she digested his words. But all she felt was conflicted as she clearly didn't have feelings for Fu but the one thing she would always feel an undying guilt. She had her claws deep within him without so much as trying. The moment she came back, the turbulence that was ongoing desire for her was in an internal battle with his both his loyalty to Maki as well as his very own dignity.
Impatient, Fu sighed and shifted his stance as he peered at her. "I want to be with you one last time."
Kyori really messed him up, and yet he was here wanting what was between her legs.
In an instant her head snapped in his general direction and she stared at him skeptically. "You can't be serious... what about Maki?!" the garnet haire Shimura commanded, her frown deepened harshly and she exhorted herself in shoving him out the door. Well, she tried to but only succeeded in pushing him out of the belly of her home and into the throat of it. " You're willing to hurt her all over again, even though all I want is for you to leave me alone…"
When she continued to insist on shoving him, Fu grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her close and stared deeply into her eyes as she struggled in his hold. She was trying her damnest to pry his two-timing, manipulative hands off her but his hold was taut.
"I just… I want this more than anything." Kyori searched his eyes, and couldn't find a trace of dishonesty in them. "I'm going to hurt Maki regardless— there's nothing there between us and I know you and Uchiha won't work things out. I need you."
"You had your chance, and you blew it!" she exclaimed, writhing in his hold as she glared fiercely. "I need you to l-"
Kyori grew tense as she felt Fu's lips crash against hers in a relentless caress. He was adamant on coaxing her into kissing him back as he endured her fist aimlessly slamming into his chest, her blows weakening with every passing second.
The redhead pulled away briefly, and relished in the victorious sight of leaving her breathless. "You don't know how bad I've missed kissing you like that." He muttered heatedly as his lips found hers once more and he smiled when she reluctantly began to kiss him back.
Every cell in her body was telling Kyori to stop, but Fu was her main coping mechanism; whenever she felt low or overwhelmed, she could come to him and he would make it all go away. It was like old times before she made a mess of herself, Kyori could just let go for a bit if it meant she could forget about everything. Danzo. Maki. Everything. Right now, it was just them and nothing else should matter but…
What about Shisui?
'Well, what about Shisui?' she retorted internally while Fu's lips worked in tandem with the rum on numbing her thoughts entirely.
Fu was right, her and Shisui wouldn't work. Not as long as Fu and her father was around. They hadn't had much of a chance and it was so stupid for her to try, and to want to be with a boy like him. It wasn't like Shisui wanted her back anyways! That was what she thought at the very least. He couldn't trust her, and now… she couldn't trust herself. Fu was right to say they never stood a chance. Even now, all that Shisui has done since their fight and presumable split was try to talk things out and make up. But it was her that had shut down and cut him out, not the other way around! So here she was technically still dating the Uchiha while her mouth was busy kissing the same guy they fought over. She never gave them a fighting chance to turn it back around.
That sure as hell made her pull away.
"Fu, I told you to-" Kyori shuddered as his calloused palm ran down her backside, grabbing handfuls as his tongue ran up her neck slowly. Just how she liked it."I told you to leave."
"I'm not going anywhere." The Yamanaka peered down at her, pushing her against the wall as he successfully trapped her. "Especially now that I know you don't really want me to."
"You're not listening!" Kyori unceremoniously shook her head, trying to shove him away in hopes of getting the little space that she the Yamanaka had other plans. His one of his hands ran up her thigh before eagerly cupping her chest. The strawberry blond hummed in approval once he discovered she was absent of a bra. "This is wrong!"
Hungry orbs of honey burned into a routed fudge. She knew they weren't supposed to, and although she tried to stop him, he hadn't wanted to and despite it being wrong she wasn't sure.
'W-what about Shisui?'
She just wanted to forget, but -
"Are you sure, Kyori? Because this-" Kyori was going to tell him to stop but her mind grew blank when she felt his sex press against her own and she squirmed, feeling a slightly pleasant surge when his hips rocked into hers."- you and me feels very right. Just like old times."
His hips moved painfully slow, giving her enough time to protest or reject him after her words died at the start of her tongue. While waiting patiently for her say anything, Fu made sure to gift her that sweet, intense friction while staring deep into those dazzling umber eyes that perpetually haunted him.
"Tell me what's so wrong about us? Why don't you just tell me to stop?" He demanded, itching to remove the flimsy spandex of her bottoms. But all he received was conflicted mewls. "Tell me that you don't want me, tell me that Uchiha is better, tell me anything."
Kyori groaned out in utter shock, feeling herself practically melt at the feeling of him growing harder against her. She hadn't known what to do in an instant like this. She didn't want Fu in particular, but she wanted— no she desperately needed this kinda of intimacy after depriving herself for nearly eight months. Even if she wanted to resist him, she had no real reason to. Her and Shisui were done. Her relationship with her father was sinking, on its way to hell itself. And nothing, nothing was more prevalent than these desperate touches along with the alcohol drowning out her senses. So she closed her eyes, allowing herself to bask in a sea of touches with a special someone in mind. Even though she knew she would come to regret it all.
"You can't be serious," Fu grumbled darkly, pushing away from the girl that he loved. The moment he heard another guy's name roll off of her tongue, he felt himself falling limp after all she did more than hurt his ego. "How could you possibly think of him, after what I've done to you?" the auburn haired male scowled, his jaw tensing with rage.
Kyori eyes snapped open at the sound of his voice, she was quick to recognize that all those things she had experienced was unfortunately with Fu. And that all of the glorious sensations were reduced to her having a fantasy.
"So you're just going to stand there?!"
She flinched at the disgust in his voice but she stood with her head held high despite how unruly she felt. "I told you already." She gulped, her eyes were growing glossy and her lips trembled as she was met with a cold stare. But she knew what she had to do, right in this moment. She knew that she couldn't deny what had just happened between her and Fu. It would all be over. Finally. "There's no fucking us. We're done."
"Done?" he repeated in utter disbelief. "So what was all that?" his brows furrowed tightly as he honeyed eyes clashed with her blank umber ones. Fu really couldn't understand Kyori and why she did the things she has done. Why would she let him touch her like that, only to cry out for another guy? Was that her way of telling them they were through?! "Was that you making a point?"
The girl nodded somberly as tears poured down her face. She was immediately assaulted by shame along with the Yamanaka gathering her up by her top. Kyori was seemingly unfazed, her feet were dangling off the ground as she was forced to stare into those bubbling orbs of gold. And she was disgusted at what she saw—and what she had done. The Shimura knew that the hurt she had just caused would be something that she could never take back. She may have made a point but all that she has proved was that she has never changed, either.
"You're fucking evil! Do you have any idea of what you had just done?!" Biting back his anger, he placed her back down and turned away. Fu scoffed. His incredulously furious hazel gaze fell to the floor as he couldn't understand her or what had transpired between them. Kyori used him like he was just a toy, she played him like he was all those other guys that she used to mess around with. But this time, he too was an insignificant pawn in her meticulous game of chess… and he was not even close to being seen as a worthy prize. That had hurt him immensely. Fu couldn't dare to look at her because if he had, it would just anger him all the more. "What do you have to say about yourself?"
But she had nothing to say. She would've agreed but she hadn't wanted to anger him any further after hurting him like this. Instead, the burgundette watched as he rid his fingers of her essence and stormed over to the door where he haphazardly slipped on his shoes.
"I hope Uchiha was worth it," He uttered and as he stood there, his caramel eyes were teeming with anger as they stared blankly ahead.
Then, he saw the sillouette of a young man, roughly around his age. The only person that came to mind was the boy he spoke lowly of.
Was she planning to see that piece of scum after shitting on him for one last time? Now that he thought about it, it was on brand for her to just hop from one guy to another. Just like that. She really played him; Kyori had him fooled this entire time! She would act as though she wanted a harmonious life, that she too wanted to fix their relationship. But it seemed like she just was using her – prowess to get what she wanted, like always.
Fu drily sniggered at that, and immediately caught the attention of both the unknown male as well as the girl he loved.
"Kyori...?"
It was Shisui!
"Your mom said that you'd be alone, and I know that this is very sudden but we need to talk."
Kyori's eyes went wide with disbelief and terror as her misted pools of fudge darted between the red head and the unmistakable silhouette.
"Can't you at least come to the door?" the Uchiha knocked a few times, making her heart leap its way up into her throat.
"G-go home, Shisui!" Kyori shouted, miraculously she bit back her tears as anxiety traced itself through her veins. "I… I don't want to see you! I can't!"
This couldn't be happening! Although he had no clue what was going on within her home, here he was, begging for a chance to talk… to fix what she had thought was undoubtedly broken as of now. He really picked the wrong time to apologize.
"Please," the Uchiha gritted out. "I really want us to get through this, and I'm sorry for not having faith in you... I was just being insecure."
"You— y-you really mean that?" the Shimura choked as tears began to cloud the girl's vision at his sincere apology, which had only made her feel worse. Not only had she went from missing him to dodging him the moment he expressed his concerns, she turned around and went third base with another guy and was damn near close to a homerun had she not said his name.
"Yeah, and I feel really stupid for doubting you."
'This is really bad,' Kyori panicked. Shisui would suspect that she was messing around with Fu. Which was kinda true, but she couldn't live with the thought of him seeing it for himself! Not when she insisted that she was done with the Yamanaka. That was the entire reason for their split.
Still… she was officially over her first love. After what they had just done, she knew for certain that she had felt nothing for the ROOT recruit. Not love, not satisfaction, not even remorse for hurting him. Hell, she didn't even feel attracted to him like she had been prior to dating the Uchiha.
But Shisui didn't know that and if he were to see them together, it would crush him. And like she had initially expected, they would definitely be over.
'Shisui and I weren't exclusive or officially together, but still...' She tried to reason with herself, but nothing changed that horrid feeling that came when she was in the wrong. Even if there was nothing substantial between them… this could definitely be deemed as cheating right? Even now, she was lying and hiding from him. Kyori felt like she betrayed him… She wasn't sure if how she felt was valid but she knew that Shisui would never forgive her. Nor would he ever trust her again. And without trust, they had nothing to fall back on. Shisui definitely wouldn't want her if he saw her like this.
And of course, Fu being a man of his word, he would seize the opportunity to make sure of that as well as ease Danzo's mind. Right at the door, the auburn haired teen gripped the knob-
"Fu, please don't!" Kyori cried out.
But it was much too late, with unmatched zeal, he had flung it open, airing out their dirty laundry. The hopeful expression that was on Shisui's face vanished the instant his moonless eyes met the smug medallion pair that belonged to the Yamanaka.
Shisui had tried to tell himself that it meant nothing. He knew that Kyori was only seeing him for their project. But he had lost all sense of hope the moment his eyes landed on the disheveled, teary-eyed burgundette and then back to the smug face of the teen that had the nerve to lean against the door frame. This looked… wrong. And Kyori, she looked guilty.
"It looks like you have absolutely nothing to worry about." The Yamanaka's grinned widen at the thought of Kyori's face as he leered at the dark haired male. "I tried her out for myself… she's all about you Uchiha."
The burgundette was rooted in place, absolutely mortified as her eyes locked briefly with the dark haired teen.
"So it's true?" he asked her, disgusted with her somber expression as she hadn't said a peep. "Did you seriously sleep with Fu after everything you said!?"
"Shisui," the Shimura lamented.
"Kyori, what the hell!"
She was guilty but not that guilty. "I didn't sleep with him, okay!"
"But you did something with him." Shisui couldn't even look at her either, but he could tell by the lack of words that he was right to second guess her all along. So much for trying to make things work. A string of curses fell from his lips as his dark eyes darted between the two. "You couldn't even wait until we talked…" The taller boy shook his head as he traced his steps, finally ready to walk away. "You just had to get yours no matter who got hurt."
"Yeah," the Yamanaka chimed in, feeling bitter enough to add more salt into her wound. "Guess some things will never change."
"Fuck you!" The Shimura glared at the redhead.
"As if I would do that again," he then snorted before briefly bringing his eyes onto the crushed Uchiha. "You wore me out."
This was an absolute nightmare… How could she be so stupid, inconsiderate and impulsive? The burgundette cheeks burned with shame and tears robbed her of most of her vision as her only friend turned to leave. Kyori couldn't leave things as they were and so she ran past Fu, shoving him in the process to chase after the boy she adored.
How could she make such a mess? How could she hurt Shisui like that?
The burgundette ignored the ache between her thighs, and the acrid gales of autumn as she struggled to catch up to him. "Shisui please! Can't you wait?!" The Shimura yelped, relieved when he came to a stop.
But when he faced her, she looked into those endless pits of his and the guilt swamped her all over again. He didn't even have to speak. She just knew he was wondering: how could she? Being hormonal, vulnerable, brazing with the help of liquor and touch starved was all invalid excuses.
It was their first fight. She was supposed to be hashing things out with Fu tonight, so that she could go on and live freely while working things out with Shisui like she should've done from the start. But she had to just ruin it all by hurting everyone involved.
"I really didn't want to do that with Fu, I just— with you in mind while drinking, and he wouldn't leave me alone. I-it just happened! Shisui…" Kyori trailed off, crying. He wouldn't understand if she told him all she could see when Fu had touched her was him. He scoffed when she lowered her misted eyes while he turned his back on her fully. "I can't even give you a proper explanation, and I get that you can't forgive me but I am so-"
"Of course you can't justify what you've done!" The raven haired teen dryly chuckled, gaining her attention. "You know something Kyori," he started while gaging her sorrowful expression. "I'm really sorry for ever thinking that we had potential." He lowered his eyes, grimacing. He still couldn't look at her. "I don't know what I was thinking, honestly!"
Gritting his teeth, the Uchiha resumed walking, there was nothing he wanted more than to get away from her; forgetting that he's ever laid eyes on her romantically was highly optimal after just went down.
Shisui felt so foolish for taking her seriously despite knowing neither of them were ready for the next steps. And while he wasn't too keen on acknowledging his feelings for her, the moment she gave him a chance... it changed everything.
"I'm so stupid, Shisui…" Kyori whispered. "I never meant to hurt you, I really thought we were over."
"I can't accept that. I had tried giving you a chance to figure things out with Fu but, you didn't want to." Shisui shook his head in sheer disappointment, sighing. "Despite all the things you told me, you clearly still have a thing for him and that's fine but leading me on and keeping me in the dark isn't."
"I-I didn't lead you on!" Kyori stopped herself from grabbing him in fear of him rightfully resisting her. "Shisui, I know I made a huge mistake tonight but this won't happen again. I don't want Fu!"
He kept walking and she felt her heart forming a wound as she grew desperate to make him stay and listen.
"Shisui!"
"Is that just something you say to all the other guys you mess around with? Or What?" he questioned, his gaze hardened at the sight of her teary expression as she stammered. "To you, I'm just some rebound?"
"Shisui, please!" Kyori groaned, resisting the urge to grab at him. "Look at me and tell me you don't seriously believe that I would do that to you?" she begged in the shivering cold, her stomach was churning violently as things were as bad as she predicted. "After all of the time we've shared, getting to know each other, you should know when I'm being genuine… y-you're my best friend." the girl's java eyes brewed with fresh tears as his eyes landed everywhere but her face. "Shisui, I want to work things out with you, I never dreamt of hurting you like this. So please!"
"No! I can't do this," Shisui uttered in defeat. "I can't be your anything... you played me." shook his head and brushed off the tempting after-warmth of her words. "I can't even look at you, let alone believe anything you say!" Even when he had every right to just leave her there, bare foot and scantily clad in the chilly October evening, he placed his jacket around her shivering form before turning away. "Take care of yourself Kyori," the Uchiha mumbled as he glanced at her once more. Lowering those endless dusky eyes, he then continued walking. The distance between them grew exponentially as he could hardly hear the sound of her cries with every trudge
Ochaaa here!
This chapter really spoke for itself... as hard as it was to write this (I revised about several times and I ultimately decided to take out the citrusy-mature scene because morals!).
Anyways, it looks like things went further left than what we were all suspecting and Kyori? Well, she made herself into a self-fulfilling prophecy by getting down and dirty with Fu only to scream out for "the enemy," himself: Uchiha Shisui. And the blowback from hurting them both has her completely stomped.
What will Kyori do when she realizes what she has lost? Will she dwell on this and distance herself from them and this situation? Will she let the guilt shroud her into the ground? Or will she surprisingly be forgiven?
May we all find out later on, so make sure to favorite it, flame it, book it or keep it in your history (mobile users).
