"Kyori! I'm so glad that you've made it!" Izumi ran up to the burgundette, practically pulling her out of the car and into a hug. Kyori mustered a smile in the girl's presence, embracing her.

It seemed to be the only comfort she would be getting after the crap ride to their home. Having Shisui shred her affirmation had placed a bitter taste in her mouth, but the brunette's smile was infectious enough for her to almost forget the hurt. Call her strange or bat shit crazy, but when she was with Izumi, it felt like she was closer to him too.

"Like I was going to miss the opportunity of meeting your dad," Kyori hummed with amusement, taking in the large estate with pure awe gleaming in her dark woodsy eyes.

She had heard of the stories of the segregation their people had faced a long while ago, and yet the Uchiha were some of the most prosperous families that were born into the nation. But it still surprised her to see their crest littered on the few monuments up the walkway. And while Izumi linked arms with her, Kyori felt excited, childish even at the thought of exploring their gigantic home.

"Well, you'll be meeting someone else too." The brunette winked, giggling at the Shimura's astonishment. "Relax, it's just our auntie!" The said brunette rolled her eyes, waving off her friend's unease. "And grandpa," she murmured to herself, giggling.

"Isn't it too soon for all of this?" Kyori reluctantly walked beside the girl.

The unruly haired male sighed as Izumi had practically dragged Kyori inside. Trudging behind the two, Shisui held the Shimura's bags and inwardly cursed at the thought of Kyori meeting his auntie and his grandfather. His father was easy going, but that woman was a glutton for details; she'd want to know as much as she could. As for his grandpa, he had a way of scaring off anyone and everyone so it was safe to say Shisui never brought home a lady friend.

"Maybe. But you could've avoided this altogether." Shisui shrugged in the face of the flustered burgundette that began to glower at him. "What?"

"Nothing!" Kyori barked, snatching her things from his hold. "I don't have anything to say to you." she grumbled, dragging her things as she scampered back to Izumi's side.

Slightly irked, Shisui frowned as he watched her walk away. "Fine by me."

"Oh I bet it is," Kyori scoffed, rolling her brown eyes.

After having a grand tour of the Uchiha Estate, Kyori was finally left to alter her sleeping arrangements and the first thing she did was change her beddings. From cotton to satin, she took a step back, slightly winded as she had barely had time to rest up after marveling over Izumi and Shisui's home.

It was more like that of a gated community as they lived among their own, their distinctive features and their well known mannerisms were plastered all about. If Danzo were to ever have access to the Uchiha estate, he would bust a vessel at the prominence and prosperity of this clan.

With nearly half an hour until Izumi would collect her to join them for dinner, Kyori decided to take a nice bubble bath. They always seemed to bring her comfort when things were going left. Even as a small child, bathing was the only warmth she embraced as it was the only time she felt comfortable. But nowadays, it granted her a lot of time to ponder.

Still, she gathered her necessities and scampered down the halls before discovering the glistening, calacatta marble of the bathroom floor. The moment her eyes landed on the spacious tub decked out with pressured jets the teen shrugged out of her clothes after setting the dials and adding her favorite cucumber lime scented soap, not forgetting to enable the jets. Kyori was quick to dunk into the heated body of pressurized water and she vigorously scrubbed away at herself as if she could rinse all that had transpired.

Things with Shisui were not showing little promise but at least he could finally look her in the eye and talk to her without making a snide remark or bringing up the Yamamaka. The Shimura girl was honestly shocked at how much he was willing to engage with her and by the things that he said... it seemed like he still cared about her well being at the very least. It just sucked that he didn't care about what she had to say as he even went as far as practically saying she'd fling herself at anyone if she couldn't have Fu.

And that was not true!

Kyori groaned, her lids fluttered shut as the strong currents kneaded her tendons, ripping away all the tension that was building up. "I really need to let it go," she murmured tiredly, her head lulled onto the milky porcelain as she allowed her body to sink in the scalding, bubbled waters. "Shisui wouldn't understand."

"C'mon Red." A deep voice called out to her, followed by a callous palm softly gripping her thigh before she smacked his arm away. "What the hell's your problem?" Glassy brown eyes glowered as they clashed with a dark grey pair. "I don't want to talk right now," Kyori grumbled, removing herself from the man's lap.

Wobbling towards the bar, she adjusted her short white dress and ordered a round of shots with a frown on her face. Even through the club lights she could see him closing in on her. Kyori let out a snort, scoffing down her choice of drink while her brown eyes remained on the tall figure.

"Go away," she hiccupped, rolling her eyes when he placed his hands at her waist to help her remain balanced.

"It's not a big deal, why are you so mad?" the man asked. And despite his gruff appearance, he continued to gently hold her even when she peeled his hands from her body.

"You know why." Kyori crossed her arms over her chest as her eyes fell onto the girl he was dancing on earlier. "What the hell were you doing with her?"

He should've known not to be all over another girl since she has told him how much it bothered her. Five weeks ago she came crying to him over someone else disrespecting her in this same fashion, and here he was doing the same; even though he promised that he wouldn't do anything to hurt her.

He still did.

"That's none of your business, Red." He shook his head, his admonishing tone told her to leave it alone but she just couldn't.

Kyori scoffed at that. She couldn't believe he was being so dismissive. "Ugh, you're just like Fu!" she shouted shoving him away from her so she could storm out. But the short haired man grabbed her by the wrist, and guided her to a more secluded area.

Now that they were away from others, he turned his stormy eyes onto her heated fudge ones before shutting the door to the run down bathroom.

"What did you just say?"

Kyori let out a long sigh then brought her eyes onto the man. She knew better than to bring Fu up. "I-it's nothing, I just think it's time for me to go home…"

"Babe, you can't be serious." The burgundette continued to pout as his hands gently grazed her hair, in hopes of soothing her. "We can go home in an hour."

"That won't do." She shook her head, simpering at the misunderstanding she had caused. "No, I'm going back home to Konoha."

"So you're breaking up with me?" he questioned sharply, his ashen eyes bore into hers as the hold on her hair tightened to the point of making her wince.

"Y-you haven't given me a reason to stay," Kyori playfully affirmed before supplying him with a kiss. But his grip on her hair never faltered. "Baby, that— that hurts!"

"I know, Red-Love but you can't play like that." the burgundette eyes watered as she felt her strands beginning to tear at the very root. "You're not leaving me."

And she soon understood that this man wasn't joking nor was he who she thought he was as he flung his fist against her jaw.

Frightened, java brown eyes snapped open and a strangled cry escaped her lips as the cool, bubbled tides swept over her shoulders and drenched her hair. If Kyori wasn't already engulfed in a tub of water, she would be drenched in sweat. And though tears immediately welled in her eyes as she shook violently, blurring her sight profusely, the nightmare flickered within her mind.

"What the fuck?" Kyori murmured to herself, gulping as she hastily rose from the tub and left small dribbles with each shaky step. "Why did he –?"

Her lips trembled into a deep pout as she relived that time, bit by bit, feeling her discomfort when he touched her, down to the churning in her stomach when she said she loved him back so that he could stop. Why was she having these kinds of dreams all of a sudden?

"For fuck's sakes it's not real!" Kyori let out a shaky breath and rub the gooseflesh away as she pulled on her sleepwear.

But it was real, it had to be. She wondered, had that actually happened or was she going crazy. Clutching her head, she quietly whimpered in hopes of forgetting every sensation from the way he touched her, kissed her, down to the way it felt when he would punish her.

"It's not real." Kyori shut her eyes tight, "It's not."

But her hums turned into bites as his face stamped its way into her conscience. His features were assaulting her memory; all she could see were his heavily creased slate eyes, that 'X' shaped scar on the right side of his face along with that tattoo across his jaw.

The garnet headed girl stared into her reflection while blindly styling her hair away from her face as she tried to pull herself together. She wished she never met that man, and she certainly wasn't the girl from that nightmare anymore.

But it felt too real to be just a dream, or a figment of the past. There were too many emotions lingering. She still felt scared, frustrated as she had before she could manage to leave him. But that wasn't all. She felt hurt, betrayal, disgusted, and hopeless as it all came back to her, it made her remember what she had lost.

She wanted to cry, to break shit and rage but the sound of somebody knocking had her knees and shoulders locking as she stiffly spun to face the light rapping. Her anger was waning, but her anxiety wafted all over her instantly.

"W-who is it?" she stammered, cursing herself for only finding a razor blade for protection.

"Kyori?" the feminine voice sounded concerned and Kyori sighed in relief, dropping the blade back into the cabinet. "Please tell me you're ready!"

It was just Izumi, her friend. There was no real threat Kyori told herself before breathing deeply, in hopes of calming down.

"I'm done," she mumbled, the Shimura's shoulders grew lax and before she could reach for the door, Izumi invited herself in.

"Is that what you're wearing to dinner?" the brunette asked judiciously, raising her brows in shock.

"Uhm… yeah. It's not like we're going out to eat." Kyori frowned softly, shrugging. "Is there a problem with it?" she questioned, playfully narrowing her brown eyes.

"Not really… well it's just daring." Izumi giggled as she stepped closer to her friend, her giggles turned into full on laughs when Kyori gave an eye roll.

"What's so daring about it?" Kyori pondered, almost expelling a sigh as Izumi decided to remove her kinky garnet tresses from its satin shackle.

But she allowed herself to snort when the impish girl looped a few strands gently while she fluffed her hair, Izumi's eyes glittered with amazement. Kyori only allowed Izumi and her mother to touch her hair, the just had a gentleness that he lacked.

The brunette smiled at her friend's feigned annoyance, but was glad that Kyori decided to wear more than a t-shirt and stretchy bottoms like she had expected. Then again, Kyori was raised with class and an entire bank to blow if she pleased, much like Izumi's own family. Her choice of clothing wasn't bad, but she was curious about one thing.

"It brings up the question, are you wearing anything underneath?" Izumi wiggled her brows, cackling at the Shimura's sporadic blinking.

"Izumi!" Kyori balked, still gaping. "What kinda question is that?!"

"Just messing around!" the petite Uchiha pouted cutely, snickering as she purred, "Besides, you look so good that big brother will definitely be all over you!"

Right, Izumi had no idea that her and Shisui were keeping things cordial. Just like she had no clue that her big brother rejected the burgundette on two different occasions as well as Kyori basically cheated on her big brother.

The Shimura sighed, crossing her arms over her chest as she silently followed Izumi, grumbling, "I don't care if he likes what I'm wearing!"

"Hey…did something happen between you two?" Izumi's dough-like onyx eyes fell onto her now scowling friend before she chirped hesitantly, "Cause there's some tension and it's not the sexual kind—unless that's what the two of you are into…"

"Izumi everything's not what it seems. We –" Kyori opened her mouth, only to close it and walk in utter silence. Losing her scowl, she gulped and pondered as they stood, facing the double doors to the kitchen.

She could just come out a say it, get all of this guilt off her chest. But that came with consequences and Kyori didn't want to lose Izumi too. She was dreading the idea of being entirely on her lonesome again. It was bad enough that Shisui was dismissing her and was seeing other girls. Hell, even Itachi had limited their interactions the second he found out their date was a bust.

"You can trust me, y'know?"

Pushing past the doors, Kyori gave her a lopsided smile. "It's just that we're–"

The words died on her lips once more as she discovered four pairs of onyx eyes were on her. Kyori bristled, blinking nervously as her brown eyes darted between Izumi and the people seated at the table. They were watching her too, but it was like they were expecting her; it was as if they had known all along that she would be here. Which meant…

"You set me up!" Kyori accusingly whispered, glaring holes into those beautifully dough brown eyes.

"I did not!" Izumi lowly responded, flashing a sheepish smile at the Uchiha seated at the table. "Okay maybe I did, but you'll be fine… eheh!"

Kyori withheld a growl. She occupied herself with internally cursing her friend that she had not realize that a violet haired Uchiha woman was inspecting her.

"Good evening, everyone." the Shimura girl offered a small smile before bowing. "Excuse us for being late on my behalf."

"Oh? I didn't know a Miss Bijin candidate would be joining us."

"A candidate for Miss Bijin huh?" the eldest man at the end of the long table mused with a single onyx eye peering between his long unruly, salt and peppered tresses. "I thought we were meeting Shisui's little girlfriend!"

"I'm not his girlfriend!" Kyori grew flush as the woman looked even more interested, making Izumi giggle. She was not shy by any means, but the burgundette hardly liked being in the spotlight or being addressed by impressive titles. "I'm just a guest tonight, so please call me Kyori."

"Ah, the infamous Kyori-chan… I feel like I know you so well already with how much my Shisui gushes over you, still it's a pleasure to meet you." the man with dark shaggy hair gave her a sweet smile that was so wide, it instantly reminded her of Shisui's. His smile was so pretty that his words had gone over her head. "I'm Kagami, please feel free to sit with us."

Kyori glanced at the only available seats, and withheld a frowned. It was hardly a surprise that she would be near Shisui regardless. She felt her heart waddle hurtfully the moment she felt his eyes on her the entire way there.

The first thing he noticed was her thick burgundy mane, treading pass her shoulders and how it paired well with her beige, shimmering nightgown, which made her rich brown skin pop beautifully. Then his eyes fell on her caramelized legs that were out, thanks to her gown ending in the midst of her thighs.

"Why are you staring so hard, Shishi?" Izumi whispered after guiding the Shimura to her seat next to the heartbreaker himself. "Like what you see?"

Peeling his eyes away from the girl, Shisui brought his attention onto his plate as if it would alleviate his blush. "Cut it out, Izumi!" He would rather focus on something worth tasting anyways.

"Kagami, look! They make each other nervous!" The woman cackled enthusiastically. "Isn't that just adorable!" In response to that, Kagami rubbed the back of his nape bashfully while giving his son a proud grin and the woman turned to the Shimura with a curt smile. "I'm Naori, Shisui's auntie and this geezer over here- "she thrusted her thumb in the older gentleman's direction- "he's Shisui's grandfather, Madara."

"Geezer my ass!" Madara gritted out, glaring at his stone-faced daughter. "So since, she's practically family I want to know when will they will marry and have babies."

"… E-excuse me?" Kyori choked on her soup in disbelief as he gave her a bored expression.

The entire room fell quiet, their expressions varying. Kyori brows were raised incredulously while Kagami sat back with a hand on his lip, Naori was the only one still eating while Izumi openly gaped, dropping her chopsticks.

Shisui seemed to be the only one that wasn't shocked as shook his head, droning, "Here it goes."

"Back in my day, the Uchiha was all about breeding and restoring our clan to its full potential and my dear, you'd make fine additions to the family," Madara started, oblivious or uncaring of the atmosphere. "You do want his seed, right? You find the little bastard attractive, I'm sure."

Kyori didn't know if she should laugh or be disgusted with the old man. He seemed very serious and passionate about expanding the Uchiha name and all. But if she was honest, it was kind of weird of him to not only wonder but assume that had anything sexual going on. And as strange as it was, the man's curiosity distracted her from thoughts and she highly appreciated that.

"Ah, Shisui this is the second time you've made me proud." Madara simpered, his dark eye peered at her abdomen. He frowned when it appeared flat. "I'd be prouder if you didn't shoot blanks."

Was this man seriously giving his grandson a pep talk about… impregnating her, right in her face?! Kyori blinked, turning her attention on her food.

"Jii-chan, we literally went on one date."

"And? That's never stopped me or your dad from slipping one past the goalie."

A delicate warmness roll in the pit of her gut as she glanced at Shisui before her eyes returned to her plate. This was so fucked up. How could he make her feel this way even after crushing her? The Shimura was lost for words, but she knew that he didn't want anything to do with her. It would be so wrong to think about him. Especially in a sexual way with his family staring at them both with questioning gazes.

Naori hummed, "Father you have all the wrong inquiries." The woman poured a tall glass of sake, smiling darkly at the teens. "The real question is if they're sexually active or not, well?"

"We're not having sex just like I'm not having this conversation right now." Shisui groaned, frowning at his elders as he ignored the urge to face palm at the sight of his grandfather giving him a disappointed look.

"Are you sure?" Naori also frowned while going back to her beverage. But the grin on her face hinted at her being far from discouraged. Shisui saw this and scowled a bit.

"The both of you are making her seriously uncomfortable, so can you stop, please?"

Madara scowled in confusion while gaging the Shimura's facial expression, he didn't seem to understand what Shisui was grousing on about. No matter how much she blinked, and gaped she hardly looked uncomfortable.

But he complied, raising a brow as he noticed how protective his grandson was being. As old as he was, he could also tell that they had genuine feelings for each other despite whatever tension was between the them. He just wasn't sure if they would acknowledge them or not.

"Fine. But do not get fussy with me when you've failed to jam her clam in the first place!" The old man huffed, going back to cursing about his soup being cold and complaining about it being too mushy.

'This old man is unreal, who the hell says stuff like that around guests!? Then again, he's old.' Kyori withheld a snort at that while Shisui placed his head onto the edge of the table, grumbling incoherently.

"I'm very sorry that you had to hear any of that Kyori-chan." Embarrassed, Kagami shot the teenager an apologetic smile. "My old man's quite a handful with that mouth of his, but I promise he means well."

"You don't have to apologize, really." Kyori looked away from everyone's baffled expressions and picked up her chopsticks. "I never met any of my grandparents. One portion died serving during the fourth war and my mom was disowned by her parents so…" she shrugged.

Feeling like she shared too much, Kyori ate slowly and cursed herself from ruining the mood far worse than Old man Madara.

"Kyori." Izumi pouted, placing her head on the girl's shoulder in hopes of comforting her.

"Well you're like family, so you're always welcome to come over and talk to him if you like." Kagami smiled brightly, showing his teeth as he turned his eyes onto his father. "He's quite lonely and I'm sure he wouldn't mind."

Madara sneered at the middle-aged man before rolling his eyes. "I do get bored around here, but refrain from speaking about me with pity, son. I can still kick your ass."

Kagami just smiled while facing the haughty elder. "Of course you can."

Naori snorted, sipping from her glass, she leaned forward with a new gleam in her eye. "Now that that's out of the way, I have a couple of other questions!"

Even Shisui wanted to comfort her with a hug or provide her with sweet words and a fresh conversation, but they weren't on good terms for any of that. Still, he felt touched by how well she was being received by his family, in particular his grandfather and auntie. They weren't easy to get along with, or keen on the idea of getting acquainted with new people outside of close friends and family. She wasn't his, but in this moment, it felt like she was and he was proud?

Ochaaa Here!

Finally, the plot thickens! So we already know about Kyori running off with an older guy, but now we know that they had a very turbulent relationship. But onto lighter things, it looks like her and Shisui has... all types of tension. And it helps that his family approves despite her background. And as hard as it was to write this, I had a lot of fun writing an old man Madara, nosey auntie Naori and a proud dad Kagami...

It all makes one wonder what could come next. Could Shisui finally get over Kyori's infidelity mishap or is he going to push back until he's over her? Or will it be Kyori that decides they're better off apart? And when will Izumi know the truth behind their "relationship?"

May we all find out later on, so make sure to favorite it, flame it, book it or keep it in your history (mobile users).
