Alyssa stops outside of the Salvatore house with Stefan and turns off the car. She reaches for the handle. Stefan stops her before she gets out of the car and she turns to him. "It's not too late to change your mind. We can find another way to draw Klaus back."

"Before Mikeal starts to kill everyone I love?" Before they had left for the boarding house Stefan had told her about Mikeal's threat to kill people if they didn't find a way to lure Klaus back into town. Knowing his history and how he spent a thousand years chasing his children all across the world she knew he meant it. "We both know I'm the only person who can get him to come back."

"Klaus is going to know you lied to him."

"That won't matter once Mikeal kills him and he will. And this, this will finally be over and I can start to live my life again. I can finally find something that makes me happy. I'll be free." Free from Klaus's control. Free from Damon and the overwhelming feeling of wanting to sacrifice for those she cares about. She could finally have a life of her own and maybe one day she'll be able to find someone who could love her back.

She gets out of the car. Stefan does the same and together they walk into the Salvatore house where Elena, Damon, and Mikeal were waiting in the library.

Mikeal was the first to speak, "If you're here it means you've agreed to help me lure Niklaus back."

"You left me no choice." Alyssa stepped down the stairs into the lower portion of the room. "You threatened people I care about. I've killed people for less. Count yourself lucky you have the only weapon that can kill Klaus or I'd be picking pieces of you out of my teeth."

"You dare threaten me."

"Consider it a warning." She says standing toe to toe with him. "You might have had Klaus and the rest of your offspring afraid of you but you don't scare me. Original, vampire hunter, whatever the hell you are won't matter. You come after them again and I will end you." Her eyes flashed golden brown and before she could take the threat further Stefan intervened pulling her back.

"It's okay." He assures her with a soft look and tone.

"We're all here for the same reason," Elena says from where she stood next to Damon on the upper level of the room. "He wants Klaus dead just as much as we do."

"I assume you have a plan," Mikeal said.

"There's only one thing that'll draw Klaus back and that's you, dead. So let's give him what he wants. Klaus thinks I'm on his side and we can use that. If I tell him you're dead and Rebekah confirms it he will believe it because he wants to."

"So you want to trick Klaus into believing that we killed Mikeal?" Elena asks for clarification. "How?"

"By selling him a story he'll believe. Mikael followed you here. Tried to grab you, so he could use you as bait to lure him back to town. We were able to subdue him with vervain and in the process, we discovered that he had a dagger that he had planned to use on Rebekah. We drove it through his heart first."

"Even if he believes it. Klaus is smart. He's going to want to see the body. He'll want proof that he's dead."

"He'll have to come here to do it where Mikeal will be waiting." Alyssa looks at Mikeal. "That is if you're up to the challenge."

"You lure him here, and I will kill him," Mikeal answered.

"You've been failing to kill him for over a thousand years." Alyssa reminds him.

"My ability to kill my son shouldn't be the one in question but perhaps your loyalty. He did after all make you what you are, a beast, an abomination."

"You force your wife to use her magic to turn your children into vampires and then spend a millennium hunting them down. You chased them across the world just to kill them and yet I'm the problem. Cause it seems to me if you did your job as a husband and made your wife happy then she wouldn't have stepped out on you in the first place and we wouldn't be in this mess."

Mikeal had her by the throat before she could react. "You dare speak to me that w-" His words trailed off as he looked down and saw a piece of silver sticking out of his chest. His grip around her neck loosen and he titers back.

"You were saying."

His face slowly begins to turn an ashen grey as he begins to desiccate. His body falls to the floor.

"What are you doing?" Elena asked the same time Damon asks "Are you insane? He's our lead to the weapon that can kill Klaus."

"And he still can, once I undagger him. But for now I need Klaus to believe that Mikeal is really dead and seeing is believing." She snaps a picture of Mikeal's body and writes a quick caption. She looks up at Elena. "You were the one who said he's gonna want to see the body now he can."

"How did you even get the dagger?" Elena asks.

"You think I'm stupid enough to threatened an orginal especially one that scares Klaus. I saw that he had the dagger on him when I walked in. I got close enough to him to snake it from his jacket pocket while we were arguing and created another opportunity to use it when I insulted him." She sent the picture and then dialed Klaus. "Pride really is the deadliest sin." She put the phone up to her ear. "Klaus, how goes the wolf hunt?" She asks when he picks up.

"Portland is fantastic. Once you get over all the whiny music and healthy looking people, it is literally a breeding ground for werewolves. How's my doppelganger?"

"That's actually what I'm calling about. Something happened that I thought you'd want to know." She turns and looks at Mikeal's body. "Mikael's dead."

"What did you say to me?"

"Mikeal, you know the guy who's been hunting you since the dawn of your vampire days. He's dead. Well not really dead but daggered. What do you want me to do with the body? I could chop him up and send him to you in pieces."

"Well, first I want you to explain to me exactly what happened."

She turns to face Elena. "Exactly what you thought. He came after Elena. As usual Damon didn't think about the consequences when he decided to bring Mikeal here. It's a good thing he cares more for her than killing you. We were lucky that he had a dagger on him. Guessing he was planning on using it on Rebekah. I used it on him instead."

"I wanna see him. I want to see his rotting body for myself."

"Check your phone. I sent you a picture. Of course, you could always come by and see for yourself. I know how long you've been waiting for this moment."

"I'll be home soon."

"I'll be waiting." She hangs up the phone and turns to the others. "It worked. He's on his way back." She turns to Mikeal and pulls the dagger out Mikeal's chest. "I have other things to do. You can take care of this right." She left with the dagger to attend to the other stuff she had to do. When she was through with that she returned home Stefan was waiting for her.

She closes her bedroom door when she walks in. "I thought that I was done with late-night visits from Salvatore when I compelled Damon to forget whatever feelings he has for me." She removes her coat and picks her brush off the dresser and starts brushing her hair.

He gets up from his seat on the window seal. "Damon might have stopped caring about what happened to you when you compelled him but I didn't. I came to check on you."

She stops brushing her hair and looks at him in the mirror, "I'm fine."

"You daggered Mikeal."

"I had to make it look convincing. Klaus had to believe it."

"You daggered Mikeal even knowing that if another supernatural creature used it it would kill them."

She starts brushing her hair again. "Klaus used it on Rebekah and Elijah more than once from what I heard and yet he's alive. I took the chance."

"Did you? Or were you hoping it would kill you."

"You know how I feel about hope Stefan." She sits down by the brush and pulls out a pair of shorts from her drawer. "But no I didn't and I wouldn't. At least not while Klaus is still alive." She takes her clothes in the bathroom to change.

"And if Mikeal does kill Klaus?"

"I can't really think past that." She says through the slightly opened door.

"I think you should." She walks out of the bathroom.

"Why? Because my future's bright and filled with so many different possibilities? Are you going to give me the,"my life doesn't have to be over just because I'm a vampire" speech now too cause that would be really ironic coming from you. You spent the last century and a half fighting who you really are and when you weren't you were a literal jack the ripper. But please Stefan tell me what I have to look forward to because I have no clue what that is."

"Hey," he sat his hands on her shoulder in a gesture of comfort. It's going to be okay. You're going to be okay."

"I'm immortal Stefan. I have no choice but to be." She pulls out Alaric's bag filled with his vampire hunting gear.

"So I was thinking about our plan?" Stefan says as he watches Alyssa mix the wolfbane into a liquid in his bathroom. "We can't trust Rebekah not to turn on us. Klaus is her brother."

"Her lying, mama- killing, dagger- happy brother." She looks over at him. "But you're right. We can't. That's why I've formulated a contingency plan."

"Really? What is it?"

"If I told you, then it wouldn't be a secret and I need it to stay a secret because the less people who know about it the less that can go wrong " She continues to stir the wolfsbane.

Damon enters the room with a tie around his neck. "I need to borrow a tie."

"You have your own ties." Stefan says.

"Hm...I'm over a hundred and sixty years old and I'm going to a Homecoming Dance. I need better ties."

"You could not go." Alyssa tells him.

"Elena insists on going, so am I." He says from Stefan's closet."

"You know on second thought you should come. With Elena's luck she'll go and get herself murdered by the Homecoming Queen." She picks up the wolfsbane grenade. "And wouldn't that be tragic."

Stefan comes over and tries to take the grande from her but she holds it back.

"It's filled with wolfsbane and you're a hybrid."

She thought about it and handed it to him. "Right."

"Please tell me that you have a better plan than wolfsbane grenades?"

"I'm not an amateur Damon. I know how to kill someone and make sure they stay dead. You should try and remember that."

"Killing Klaus rests entirely upon you two executing your plan perfectly. So, excuse me if I'm a bit cynical."

"You do have reason to worry, but if I look back in our history of epic plan failures, it's usually because you and Stefan care more about saving Elena. Upon taking odds on how this thing goes down, it's certainly not gonna be me who screws it up." She walks out of Stefan's room.

Rebekah is getting ready for the Homecoming Dance in Stefan's room. Alyssa enters.

"Getting a head start, huh?"

"Embarrassing truth? This is my first high school dance."

"Ever?"

"I never really had time for high school before. Nik and I were always moving around, running. Anyway- I didn't want to leave anything to chance. Have you heard from him anymore?"

"No. But you know Klaus. When he does return he'll do it with flair."

"And Damon and my father are all set with their plan?"

"Yes."

"Don't tell me. I don't want to know, I just- I want to go to the dance and leave the rest to Mikael."

"Hey, I know it's really hard but thank you for helping us get Klaus back into town."

"Just be careful. I've been running for a thousand years for a reason. Mikael is not a good person and he definitely can't be trusted. No one in my family can." Rebekah has tears in her eyes.

"Are you okay?"

"I've spent my whole life loving and hating my brother with equal measure. I never thought that I'd be the one to help drive a stake through his heart."

Alyssa wipes under her eyes. "No tears- I don't want you to ruin your makeup."

Rebekah turns her back to Alyssa and looks in the mirror again.

She turns back to Alyssa. "How do I look?"

"Amazing! But you're missing one thing."

Alyssa takes Elena's necklace out of her pocket.

"My mother's necklace."

"You should wear it tonight. May I?"

Rebekah turns and looks in the mirror, and nods; Alyssa puts the necklace around her neck.

Rebekah smiles and turns around to face her, "Thank you."

Alyssa smiles back at her. "You're welcome. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go get ready myself." She turns and walks out of Stefan's room.

Rebekah goes back to studying her reflection when she sees Alyssa stop just outside the door and fall to the ground.

"Alyssa?" She walks over to her and sees her laying in the ground. Before she can react Elena plunges the dagger into her heart.

Alyssa walks into the conservatory after waking up on the floor of the cellar to find Stefan, Elena, and Damon all with grim looks on their faces.

She wordlessly walks over to the bar and pours herself a drink and drinks it. After it is gone she pours another.

"Klaus?"

"Is still alive." Stefan answers.

She turns to them. "And Mikeal?"

"Dead."

"And his weapon?"

"Turned to Ash when he staked Mikeal."

"So not only is Klaus alive but the only weapon we had to kill him is gone and the one person Klaus feared more than anything is dead."

"It was a good plan. It should have worked."

"It probably would have if I weren't lying unconscious on the floor of the cellar." She looks at Damon. "I wonder whose idea that was."

Elena was the one to speak. "We had to be sure Klaus didn't get to you."

"It's a relief that he didn't huh? Only not really because he's not dead. How did this happen? I thought of everything. Klaus having hybrids. Mikael turned on us. I brought in Katherine so you weren't in danger. Anything that could have gone wrong I was prepared for so what happened."

"Klaus orders his hybrids to kill Damon if something happens to him."

"I guess it would have helped to have a hybrid of your own that wasn't sired to Klaus."

"We got it. We screwed up." Damon says.

She sits her cup down, "As usual." She turns to leave.

"Where are you going?" Stefan calls after her.

"To clean up your mess."
