She receives a call from Stefan the next morning. "Hey, Bonnie called, she said that she thinks she knows someone who can help her open the coffin."

"She said who this mystery person was?" She asked sitting outside of the Lockwood manor.

"Her mom."

"Bonnie hasn't seen her mom in fifteen years. Even if she could help we have no idea where she is."

"Elena got the sheriff to pull up Abby Bennett in the county hoping we can find something. We could use the help."

"Sorry Stefan," she watches Tyler come out of the house. "I'm kind of in the middle of something. But do call me when you've found something." She hangs up and gets out of the car just as Tyler opens his car door.

He turns around when he senses her. "Are you following me now?"

She scoffs. "As if I care."

"Then what do you want?"

"Simple, to make Klaus pay for what he did to Jenna. Taking his family isn't enough for me. I want to make him suffer. I ran his hybrids out of town but he can always make more and since I can't kill Elena without losing the people I care about I figured I can do the next best thing. I can give you your free will. Make it so you're free to make your own choices and after he made you bite Caroline I'm sure you can see the benefits of being free from the side bond."

"How?"

"Let's just say I called in reinforcements. Now if there are no more questions," she points to her car and he reluctantly walks towards it. She follows behind him. "There's just a few stops we have to make first."

"The coffin is spell shut. That makes it a witch problem." She hears Bonnie say from the kitchen as she walks in. "So it does fall on me. I was bound to see my mother again sooner or later."

She follows the voices into the kitchen. "Sooner. Abby Bennett Wilson, Monroe, North Carolina. Born in Mystic Falls Hospital, graduated at Mystic Falls High...blah blah blah." She hands Bonnie the folder and opens it and looks at the driver's license record. "A little compulsion helps speed up the research process."

"I thought you were too busy to help," Stefan says to her.

"It's called multitasking Stefan. Besides I've made it my life mission to destroy Klaus and this will do that." Alyssa turns to Bonnie who is sitting at the table across from Elena.

"This is her," Bonnie confirms.

"Great then I'll leave you to it." She walks to the door and Stefan follows.

"You're not staying?"

"I told you I'm busy."

"Too busy to help take down Klaus?"

"Bonnie hasn't seen her mom in over fifteen years. She doesn't need my snarky commentary narrating the experience. You just make sure Bonnie finds out how to open that coffin."

He nods and she turns to leave.

"What was that about?" Tyler asks when she gets in the car.

She turns on the car and answers, "nothing."

She drives to the Lockwood property.

"What are we doing here?"

"Meeting someone." She gets out of the car and walks towards the Lockwood cellar where she helped Tyler chain himself up the first night he turned.

Caroline's dad Bill was waiting for them in the old Lockwood Cellar.

"Mr. Forbes?"

He greets him. "Hi, Tyler."

"What are you doing here?"

"I called him. I was hoping since he found a way to resist compulsion then he would be able to help you break your sire bond."

He looks around the cellar, "and we had to do it here?"

Alyssa looks at Mr. Forbes before explaining it to Tyler. "Mr. Forbes thinks the only way to break the sire bond is to make yourself change."

He looks between them like they had gone crazy. "What? How do you even know that's gonna work?"

Mr. Forbes explains. "A sire bond, at its core, is about one thing...gratitude. If you believe you owe Klaus your life, ask yourself why."

Tyler answers, "I was cursed. Every full moon I had to change into a wolf. It was torture. Klaus took that away."

"He freed you from your pain and now you feel indebted to him. To break the sire bond you gotta make yourself turn. Own your pain then you'll owe Klaus nothing and you will be free."

"I don't know how to just start." He only ever changed because of the full moon. He hadn't willingly done it since.

"You're making excuses."

"You don't understand! When I turn, I break every bone in my body."

"You asked for my help. This is the only way. How badly do you want your freedom?"

Tyler considers this and nods slightly.

"Okay."

"Okay."

Alyssa helps Mr. Forbes tie Tyler up. Tyler walks back near the wall, tugs at his chains then concentrates. Suddenly he starts to transform.

Alyssa gets a phone call and she steps out of the cellar to answer it without checking the caller ID assuming it's Stefan.

"Stefan?"

"Guess again."

"Klaus, What do you want?"

"The question is what do you want? My hybrids left town as you demanded, so please tell me what I need to do to get my family back."

"Well, see...Klaus...I'm not negotiating."

"And you understand, that holding them indefinitely is the same thing as dropping them in the ocean?"

"No, No. You leave Mystic Falls and then give me a call in a few years and we'll talk."

"I can give you another chance. Just one more. Let's make a reasonable deal."

"Or what? You make one move and I will drop…"

Klaus laughs, "Yes, right. Crazy Alyssa. How is that working out for you? Any friends left?"

"I never really had any and the one is dead. You killed the last person that I cared about."

"You sure there's no one left."

Alyssa thought about it and hung up trying to call Damon. When he doesn't answer she tries Rick whom she hadn't spoken to in a while either but there was no answer.

So she decided to look for them starting with Damon. There was only one of two places she knew he would be since Elena had gone with Bonnie and that was either home or the grill.

Her first stop was the Salvatore house and when she didn't find him there she went to the grill. There she had found Rick. She was relieved to find him in one piece. She started to approach him when the door opened again and she caught the faint smell of Damon thanks to her werewolf abilities and followed the smell to the hospital where she lost it due to the numerous other smells.

Luckily she didn't have to go far to find him because she found him lying unconscious on the floor.

She rushes over to him. "Damon," she tries to wake him but can't. She lifts him off the floor and vamps speed away when no one's looking. She takes him back to the Salvatore boarding house, lying him on the couch.

She sits beside him brushing the hair out of his face. It had been a while since she'd been that close to him and she took the moment to study his sleeping form. Just for that moment, she allowed herself to feel everything that she wouldn't allow herself to feel in the last few months.

But that was cut short by the phone call she received.

"Stefan?"

Instead, she hears Elena's voice, "Why are you doing this?"

"Stop moving," She hears a male voice say.

"Jamie, let me go. Jamie, he needs help!" Elena yells. Alyssa hangs up and vamps speeds out.

When she gets to Abby's she sees Elena tied to a post and Stefan laying on the ground.

"Jamie, please, just let us go," Elena says.

The guy Jamie suddenly cocks his gun. Alyssa runs into the barn behind him and bites into his neck and drops him after he falls unconscious.

She rushes over to Stefan. There is a wound in his chest from what she could assume is a wooden bullet.

"I'm going to get it out. I need to stay still." She tells him and begins to take the pieces out. Stefan screams in pain and Alyssa moves faster to get them out.

Elena manages to free herself and runs over to Stefan kneeling beside him. Alyssa gets the last of the bullet out.

"Last one." She takes the last of it out and Stefan takes a deep steady breath and sits up when he's feeling better.

"Someone wanna tell me what the hell is going on?"

"So Bonnie's mom sold her out?" Alyssa says after hearing the whole story from Stefan on the way back.

"She was just trying to protect Jamie."

"Bonnie's her daughter. The one she abandoned. She should be more concerned about her." They stop on the porch of the Salvatore house. "And because of that Klaus probably has the coffins and any leverage I had against him is gone."

"We'll figure it out."

"I'm getting a total sense of Deja Vu." That's what he always said when things don't go his way there.

"Hey, I wanted to say thanks."

"For?"

"Saving me."

"It wasn't like it was the first time and with Klaus still around, I'm pretty sure it won't be the last." She turns around and walks inside.

Damon's standing in front of the fireplace when she walks in. "You're still alive. I assume that means Klaus didn't get his coffins."

He walks away from the fireplace. "Don't look so happy, I was only able to get one of them out in time. The locked one."

She plops down on the couch. "Probably a good choice."

"Yeah. You know, if you're banking on Bonnie's momma to open it, you're screwed. She doesn't have any powers."

Stefan walks in leaning against the wall. "That doesn't surprise me. It's been that kind of night."

"It's been that kind of year." She gets up and heads out.

"There's one more thing we should talk about," Damon says and she turns around. He's holding a silver dagger.

"Damon, what did you do?"
