Chapter 3 - Hagrid's Mission
A year later, in 1983, back where Harry and Lily lived, a couple of guests arrived to see Lily
For as you see, it is Lily's celebration party for her new place at work as she was looking for a job to help her child, she had to find a job to pay for food, water, toys and expenses to Harry's future
Sooner or later, she was able to find a job working as a baker at a town-top bakery, she was really excited that she decided to invite some of her new friends that she met when she and Harry moved into this town for a celebration
Lily soon told the guests to wait in the kitchen while she went over to the living room to see Harry, who was on the couch, watching Reading Rainbow, Lily approached Harry and sat on the couch next to him
"Now, honey, mommy's going to be busy with the guests for tonight, so I want you to be on your best behaviour, okay?" Lily asked, Harry did a small chuckle and Lily smiled, taking it as a yes, "Okay, sweetheart, mommy will be right back" She said
Lily then got off the couch and went back to the kitchen, allowing Harry to keep watching Reading Rainbow
But little did he know that outside the house, looking at Harry from the living room window, was a giant, but he wasn't just any giant, he was a giant wizard, his name, was Rubeus Hagrid
Hagrid looked at Harry through the window, "Hm, he is getting to that age" He said, "But not that quickly as I can see"
Hagrid soon heard a strange sound, coming from a sack he carried on his back, he looked into his bag and saw his two-way mirror, blinking a green light, Hagrid looked confused, "Funny, it never did that before" He said puzzling
He took the mirror out of the sack and placed it on the bench not too far away from the house, the green light stopped blinking and showed Snape in the mirror
"Good evening, Hagrid" He said, "Snape, what a surprise to see you in a long time" Hagrid said, looking surprised, Snape scoffed and continued, "Did you managed to find which house that the boy is living in?" He asked, Hagrid nodded and replied, "Yes, Snape, and a little too late for the party I figure"
Snape looked at him confusingly, "What do you mean?" He asked, "Well, I have just found a group of people having a party inside that kitchen" Hagrid replied, Snape looked at Hagrid with envy, "You've been trying out that vision spell again, I see?" He asked, Hagrid looked around, then back at Snape and replied, "Well, no one else was here to see it, but I believe that does not matter now, what matters is that I found that the boy is in perfect health and coinsintently is safe"
Snape felt happy, but still had his envious look on his face, "Good" He said, "We shall have Dumbledore begin the boy's education once he arrives at Hogwarts when he is fully mature, for as we know, he is the boy who lived"
"I know" Hagrid said
"I want you to keep a close eye on the boy, and make sure that he dose not be touched by Voldemort" Snape said, "And if you can, do not let Voldemort touch Lily either"
The image of Snape soon disappears from the two-way mirror as Hagrid picked up the mirror and placed it back in his sack, carefully so he wouldn't crack the glass
"Do not worry, Snape, the boy and Lilley are safe with me, I will do this for you... and for Dumbledore" He said, continuing to look at Harry through the living room window
For as far as he knew, this was the beginning... of a new legacy...
