Chapter 2 Info dump

2 quick notes I didn't set a schedule for updates and I noticed I haven't explained the changes I've made to both settings and well kind of important to do that so I'm going with a 2 to 3 chapters a week each being 2 to 5000 words and everything mass effect is the same as cannon (faction wise) so I'll break down the changes made to COD infinite warfare

UNSA lore

The United Nations Space Alliance (UNSA) is an international political organization that handles matters related to trade, travel, land claims and all efforts relating to human space colonization. Their military force is represented by the Solar Associated Treaty Organization (SATO).

The UNSA was created as a means to control and monitor off-world colonies in order to obtain resources to maintain Earth's geo-engineered atmosphere. USNA territories include 29 Earth-like planets and 223 additional planets of a far less habitable degree as well as 10s of thousands of asteroid and moon bases it has a combined population of 114 Billion People only 10 billion live on non-earth like worlds and only 1.1 billion live on all asteroid and moon bases

The Solar Associated Treaty Organization has a fleet of 3500 vessels 3100 destroyers 110 battlecruisers and 390 carriers its fields a force of 125 million personnel mostly Army and coast guardsmen and naval Personnel with a small offensive force of marines the AATIS systems combined with the HUGE ground army SATO has ensures that without even knowing it no force in the galaxy can take there worlds conventionally but its lackluster marine core ensures that they can't take many worlds themselves there navy while small makes up for it with each ship is being highly capable

SDF lore

The origins of the Settlement Defense Front lie in the 'gold rush' period of planetary colonization when colonists first began leaving Earth, when colonists settled to mine minerals on Mars and seek the promise of a new Front was first created as a means of enforcing martial law on off-world colonies. At some point they became radicalized and went rogue, instigating a rebellion against the Earth-led Government of Mars. SetDef initiated the Secession Wars against Earth's authority, the conflict spread throughout the solar system resulting in more planets being captured by the Front, peace was later reached after the signing of the "Charon Accords" establishing the Settlement Defense Front as an independent fascist state separate from the Earth and allowing SetDef control over Mars and other territories.

The SDF Navy is a juggernaut with some 25,000 Ships 10,000 being cutters 13,000 Destroyers 1992 Carriers and 8 Olympus Mons-Class Dreadnoughts it has nearly 215 million troops mostly navy and marines with a small spread into airforce and army the SDF however suffers from have a civilian population only 10 times greater in size than its army despite having 677 colonies which results in a slow colony growth

Timeline and reality change break down

to those that are familiar with Call of duty Infinite, you will notice VERY quickly the MASSIVE change of scale to explain it a bit in Cannon the SDF has 61 ships total with the UNSA having a mere third of that, along with that they are not confined to just the Sol system but hundreds of systems with a method of FTL i will breakdown later on but i can tell you its faster than the reapers by a good bit and last but not least instead of lobing 21-inch shells out of cannons ripped of fucking battleships using chemical rounds they use high powered railguns each round (with 2 to 3 guns per battery) hitting with 23 to 25 kilotons of force

2010 the ISS is launched

2012 first Railgun was made in the United States

2017 plans for a Mars colony are prepared

2020 COVID-19 hits the world but remains mostly in China due to a more effective early response by the PRC

2023 the first fully reusable spacecraft are made

2024 the population of Luna skyrockets to over 10,000

2025 Nuclear Fusion is solved as hundreds of reactors are planned

2026 the construction of a space elevator begins in the EU

2027 the Third World War starts with the Chinese invasion of Taiwan

dubbed the 7-hour war by many the war ended prematurely with the United States deploying the first space-to-ground weapons in history via Rods from God combined with immediate and unexpected Russian assistants the Chinese military though capable was crushed by the complete Might of NATO

2032 A Colony on Mars is founded

2037 with spaceflight becoming almost affordable 100s of thousands are taking to the stars

2042 with almost 90% of world power now nuclear Fission and Fusion climate change is slowed by century's

2048 almost 20 million people live throughout Sols many other planets and moons

2058 the Vickers drive is invented allowing for travel at up to 75% the speed of light

2061 due to the Vickers drive the population of earths colony's doubled in merely 3 years

2064 first combat bots deployed by the US and Russian armed forces in a joint program

2072 human population grow tremendously faster than thought as happiness grows due to large changes in governments along with curruption being brought down significantly

2076 human population hits 18 billion

2077 the Secession Wars begin

2079 Mars becomes independent

2080 The UNSA is founded

2081 a crashed alien ship is found on Luna dating back nearly 43 million years

2082 the UNSA begins to research and scavenge the ship

2083 the Luna drive is scavenged from the ship fully intact allowing instantaneous travel of up to 250 Light years a day

2097 the Atlas War devastates the Middle East
