Midari returned to Hyakkaou Private Academy after enjoying a nice omurice breakfast with her best friend Yuriko. Yuriko understood Midari needed to talk to the President after the events that transpired yesterday. Still, Midari could not help but feel a little guilty for not spending the rest of the day with her. As Midari followed Sayaka down the main hall, she noticed that the area was completely void of students and staff. 'Where is everybody? It's the first lunch period, I'd expect at least to see Yumemi or Runa at this time.' "The president decided to give all members of the academy a day off in line with what occurred." Midari couldn't help but chuckle a little. 'Ah she shouldn't have. I'm kinda flattered to have had the school closed for a day. Although, I would have wanted it to occur under different circumstances.' "Yes, well, here we are." Sayaka led Midari to the gymnasium. Opening the door revealed President Momobami sitting in one of the Council chairs from their meeting room. The President was placed in the middle of the gymnasium with another chair positioned directly across from her. The second chair was from the Beautification Council, specifically from Midari's personal office. Walked up to her chair with a sense of comfort. Midari decided to lighten the atmosphere. 'I'd recognize this chair from anywhere. I can see the stains that make the seat look like a piece of abstract art. Except, this is not paint but the remnants of the last time I squirted on this bad boy.' Sayaka who was standing at Kirari's right side could not help but make a facial expression of unmitigated disgust. "Eww. I had to carry that damn chair all the way down from your office you fucking brute." Midari noticed that Kirari was not fazed by her raunchy comment. "Please, sit Midari." Midari obliged. 'So, what would you like to talk about President Momobami?' Midari could sense anger coming from Sayaka but not Kirari. No one has ever seen the President lose her composure, not even her sister Ririka. Kirari decided to order some Dimbulah tea for the conversation. As Sayaka left the gymnasium to make tea for the meeting, Midari and Kirari stared blankly at each other. Both maintained a poker face, Kirari's stemming from her calm and calculating nature, while Midari's stemmed from her restrained yet still chaotic nature. Eventually the gym doors opened with Sayaka rolling in a cart containing Dimbulah tea and teacups. After Sayaka poured two cups, Kirari decided to break the silence. "How are you doing Midari?" 'I really do not know how to answer that question. My best friend almost died. I had an episode of PTSD after attending to Yuriko's wounds, causing me to break down in front of my mother. Now my mother is concerned despite the last couple years of sustained ignorance. My major depression is getting worse. The past couple of days I have been experiencing the symptom of anhedonia returning, which hasn't happened since before…' Kirari interrupted her. "Before you attempted to end your own life at home all those years ago?" 'Yes, I'm not sure if the past would provide an exact reference to the current situation. I feel like I'm losing control of myself, slowly becoming an emotionless shell of my former self. Probability is slowly becoming less of a priority to me in how it all ends.' Kirari's left eyebrow went up slightly. "This is different indeed. Okay, I will have a set of security guards stationed outside of Yuriko's room." Kirari stepped out of her chair and stood in front of Midari to lock eyes. "I promise to you Midari that Yuriko will be receiving the best physical therapy to recover from her self-inflicted wounds." Midari's pupil shrinked. 'What did you just say?' Kirari tilted her head, almost expressing a look of confusion. She repeated herself. "I promise to you Midari that Yuriko will be receiving the best physical therapy to recover from her wounds." 'Ah, okay.' Kirari sat back down in her chair. "Midari, when was the last time you took your medication?" Midari felt insulted by the question. 'I stopped taking my SSRI well over a year ago.' "Why did you stop following your regimen?" 'Because the damn drugs were not helping me. I actually felt worse most of the time. I am pretty sure I have treatment resistant depression.' "Did you ever reach out to your psychiatrist about the ineffectiveness of the medication?" 'No, because I have tried a litany of SSRIs to try to at least reduce my depressive state but nothing. I was done experiencing all of the side effects but none of the medicine.' "I could get some new medication for you that has yet to be approved in Japan from Europe…" Midari smacked her right arm against the chair. 'I'm not crazy.' "I did not say you were Midari. I don't care to use that word, especially when describing a person who needs help. I am only trying to come up with potential avenues for your betterment." Midari started to laugh. Kirari began sipping her tea while Midari continued laughing. 'When I found Yuriko with her armed slashed, it was not too long before we talked about you.' Kirari paused her sipping and placed her teacup down on its saucer. "Really, sounds like nothing more than a coincidence." 'Maybe. At that time though, Yuriko recently received a picture of you and Sayaka together.' Sayaka's cheeks were turning red. 'The picture came with a note as well, how did it go? Preserve The National Heritage, Crush The Nonconformist President And Her Female Lover.' Midari searched through her beautification bag and pulled out a rough polaroid showing Kirari and Sayaka undressed and kissing at the Momobami estate. Sayaka began taking deep breaths while Kirari merely smiled. "Interesting. You do look stunning Sayaka." Sayaka's face was as red as a traffic light. "Eep, Madam President I…" Kirari laughed. "Now Sayaka it's all right. Your unease is adorable. Come." Kirari tapped her thigh signaling Sayaka to sit on her lap, she followed Kirari's lead.
"So, someone is attempting to upend my administration with a scandal. Did this sender happen to deliver anything to you?" 'Yes, a custom blank for my .44 magnum. I decided to play a game of roulette and when I heard a bang, I hoped to have won with probability but no.' "Did anything else occur after saving Yuriko?" 'Yes, with everyone gone I decided to stay in Yuriko's office for a moment of silence. Suddenly I heard a faint noise coming from Yuriko's desk. I opened the bottom drawer of the desk to discover her phone screen side up. The sound grew louder once she picked up the phone. The sound grew louder once she picked up the phone. A song was playing. She pressed the side button of Yuriko's phone to display what media was playing. Yuriko had her Spotify playing the song All Mine by Portishead. I tried to turn off the music, but the phone was not responding. A message appeared from a blocked number on the screen. This phone is corrupted my dear Midari. Let me clear the silence for you. The phone's speaker maxed out. I began to hit the phone against Yuriko's desk. Another message appeared. This is cute, time to end the noise sweets. The song filled the office completely. Tremors engulfed my entire body. I began to see vivid images of her past suicide attempt. The music must be shut off. I turned to see three speakers spread across Yuriko's office, placed in subtle but easy to forget locations. I took out my loaded .44 and shot the three speakers as well as the phone. Constant ringing filled the room, but my nerves were calming. I looked around the room to find a potential camera. Eventually I found a black marble-sized camera taped against the corner of the room. I flipped the gun and hit the camera with the butt of my .44. This broke the lens but kept the internal chips intact. All the evidence I have is the camera's internal chip and this photo.' Midari stood up and handed Sayaka the photo. "Where is the chip?" 'It's in a secure location. I was not sure of how this talk would go so I figured some insurance was needed. Am I wrong?' "Oh no you are not wrong. I am impressed actually. So besides you and Yuriko, who else knows about this conspiracy?" Midari sat back in her chair. 'As of this moment I am not aware of any other Council members receiving any packages. Yumeko Jabami is the only person outside this circle who knows what happened to Yuriko. That is all the information I have at this moment.' "So much to process. I will begin accessing my back channels to find any information regarding this dangerous individual. Considering how you have not come into contact with this person, I am not expecting much but we'll never know unless we look. Thank you for bringing this information to our attention. I know this couldn't have been easy for you Midari." 'Yeah, hopefully we can eventually get back to some semblance of normalcy.' "I will have guards posted outside every Council room including club offices. Other measures will be put in place as we continue to unravel this conspiracy. Will you want a personal escort for when you travel around and outside the academy?" 'No…' Sayaka blurted out. "No! What the hell do you mean no? Do you want to be the attacker's next target?" Midari sighed. 'I am not the main target of this individual, you and Kirari are. This person is fucking with me as he tries to upend this administration and destroy order within Hyakkaou Private Academy. As to why I am not sure but hopefully we'll discover their true motives.' Before Midari decided to leave Hyakkaou and return to the hospital, she decided to end with another raunchy remark. 'I hope this person has a futa fetish because when I find him, he will receive my 15" uncircumcised purple strapon raw.' "Gross." Sayaka was not amused. "Don't be a prude my dear Sayaka." Kirari began rubbing Sayaka's inner left thigh. "You never seem to mind it when I pull out Villanelle for special occasions." Sayaka's face turned pale white. "Madam President!" Midari wanted to ponder further but felt that this conversation should end. 'Fuck this, I'm leaving.'
