Midari returned home from the meeting with Kirari and Sayaka feeling exhausted. 'Fuck. I swear these antidepressants are making me more tired. It's only 3:15 p.m.' Midari headed to her room to take a quick nap before dinner. It may only be an hour, but it was better than nothing. Midari entered her room and fell onto the full-sized bed before immediately dozing off from the one constant in her life, fatigue. Everything went black inside Midari's mind. A couple minutes of silence passed before the darkness became lighter, stopping at gray. This slight illumination revealed the location of the school halls of Hyakkaou. However, no distinct details were present. The windows were consumed by the gray, door handles missing, room numbers scratched off, club room decorations torn, ceiling lights broken, floor tiles burned, cracks randomly spread throughout the walls. Everything felt distorted to Midari. 'What is all this?' She traveled forward in this never ending hallway looking for an accessible door. CRASH! Midari turned to see one of the hallway windows broken from a brick thrown into it. What pierced through the broken window were rays of indigo and violet light. Midari decided to go towards the flashes of color to escape the ever revolving nature of this hallway. She inserted her arm into the light to see if it could be a way out. Feeling nothing, she pulled her arm to discover that it was gone. An overwhelming sense of anxiety consumed Midari and in an act of self preservation, she decided to run away from the light source. A petite, feminine, faceless figure appeared from the broken widow. The figure was wearing a tattered up Hyakkaou student uniform and had chains wrapped around her neck. The figure started running in Midari's direction. Midari while running was searching through her beautification bag for her .44 but all that inside was a bloody knife. The figure caught up to Midari and threw her against the wall. Midari, feeling exhausted and desperate, stabbed the figure in the head. The figure slowly looked up at Midari and wrapped her chains around Midari's neck. Midari struggled but the chains only got tighter, her vision became blurry. There was nothing Midari could do. The figure finished Midari off by crushing her neck. The faceless figure picked up Midari's body and threw it into the hallway window across from them. Midari's lifeless body as well as shattered glass perpetually fell into the void of indigo and violet light.

Hmm...

"Do you ever get tired of this back and forth, sweet Midari? The sudden bursts of actualization and catharsis, only to be struck back down to the unstable foundation that is your psyche. Your overall mental deficit is really quite impressive. Honestly, I am starting to lose track of this fucking fiasco. Your best friend nearly killed, your own trauma stemming from a failed suicide attempt resurfacing as you stumble through this conspiracy. And now you allow sweet, dear, innocent Yumeko to join in your journey to self-destruction. Tell me, will you throw her under the bus like you did with moi so many years ago? When things get too uncomfortable for you, everything and everyone remotely close to you will become nonexistent, even when they offer to help you. Yet you seem to believe that recent actions from those past couple days have provided you with a new sense of self, determination to catch the perpetrator, and possibly even a pathway to find happiness without using methods of self-harm. But please, you are diluting your true nature. You will never escape this void my dear. We will be together forever, just you and me. If you will understand it better as you continue onward with this little adventure at Hyakkaou then so be it. Because no matter how hard you try, no matter how determined you are, no matter how much anger you possess, I will always be here for you Midari. I am you and you are me, connected as one. Even if you were to pull out that .44 and pull a Persona 3 on yourself, I will still be with you in the next stage of your existence. But hell, I think it will be more fun to see you suffer through these next couple of weeks investigating for the person who does not give a damn about your true desires and feelings while she enjoys a life of indulgence and privilege. Now, leave me Midari, I am tired of monologuing for now."
