HELGA

Miriam was sprawled out and unconscious on the couch after spending her usual routine of doing absolutely nothing but drink her "smoothies". Bob seemed to have vanished into thin air right after I got home, and I had no problems with it. Maybe Bob used the opportunity to enjoy a night out in the town with the one friend he had managed to make a few weeks ago.

It's always something about being under the shower head that brings a sense of peace. All the stress and worries from the day just washes away. The sound of the water hitting the tiles and flowing down the drain is so soothing like I'm escaping from reality. But reality only took a nap in the shower. This morning, everything was fine until I was assigned to become Lila's ballet tutor. Lila, of all people. If I could, I would jump back into the shower for another round of tranquility and yet I don't want to deal with pruned skin.

Arnold and Lila's relationship really hit me hard when I heard they were official freshman year. I've been in love with the boy for years, but I never had the guts to confess my real feelings. I let my chance pass a thousand times since pre-school. I finally had the chance in sixth grade after helping Arnold find his parents. Instead of expressing my love, I pushed him away and pretended that saving his parents was just a favor. Looking back, I realize it was a defense mechanism and a way to protect myself from the vulnerability of admitting my true feelings. Maybe he would have reciprocated my feelings, and we could have been together. Who knows what could have been if I had just been brave enough to speak the truth. Regret is a bitter pill to swallow.

For months, me and Arnold have been seeing each other on the side. I know it's not right to cheat on someone, but when I'm with him, it just feels right. I feel like I can be myself with Arnold and I don't have to pretend to be someone I'm not. If Arnold and I were in a real relationship, I highly doubt he would cheat on me. If he ever did, I would get rid of his body in the city river. I'm pretty sure the city river has enough of its own secrets, but I'm sure one more wouldn't hurt.

"Are you home? We need to talk asap!" I just noticed the message from my phone and there were a couple more texts from Arnold. I do need to get better at checking notifications on my phone, but I'm not used to or a fan of this technology. I personally can't stand social media. Years ago we had to take steps like going outside to communicate with someone instead of staring at a screen. Sending a reply to Arnold only to be interrupted by the sound of the doorbell ringing. Swung the front door open only to be met by the sight of piercing green eyes that always sent a shiver down my spine and making my heart skip a beat.

"Did you get my messages?"

"I just noticed them, Arnoldo. You know I'm bad at reading text messages."

"Can we please talk?" he asked. I had him follow me and of course there was no problem with having him in my house while Miriam passed out in the couch. When we entered my bedroom, I noticed that Arnold had rarely been in my room. I would always go over to his place instead of him coming over to mine. It felt weird to see him in my personal space.

"Did you know that you and Lila were going to be partners?"

"No, I didn't. I just knew who was going to teach goes to our high school but I had no idea it was Lila. She's literally the last person I thought I'd be assigned to. I was surprised as you are." I explained and was telling the truth. Why would I be this close to Lila while both of us have sex on the side?

"You never mention that you did ballet."

"Maybe if you didn't shove your tongue into my throat every time I see you, I would've had a chance to mention it." I said. "So what, you want to end our…thing now?"

"I didn't say that, Helga. I really needed to talk to you even before we went to your class today."

"What's going on?"

"One of the boarders heard you climbing down the ladder last night."

"What you mean heard? Did someone saw me or something?"

"No. I don't think you was seen, but you was heard climbing the ladder. Thankfully Mr. Kokoshka didn't look out and actually saw you."

"I can't go through the front like a normal guest would, Football-head. Unlike Lila, I don't have the VIP luxury of walking through the front entrance like a regular guest." I told him. "Maybe you should consider building a secret tunnel from the alley straight into your room. Then I won't have to worry about being caught sneaking in."

"Helga…"

"Relax, Football-head. We've never been caught." I said and went over to shove his coconut scented lips into mine. I pushed him into my bed. "And we won't get caught."

"We just need to be careful."

"We will." I said as I unbuckled his jeans and grabbed his semi-hard member. "We'll figure it out." I informed him as I'm about to fuck him and the Lila concern away.

For now.
