Request by Cody Fanatic
Important info: Takes place after Duncan's elimination in Africa. Heather won the challenge instead of Alejandro.
After Chris kicked Duncan out the plane, he turned back to the final four.
"Alright Heather, who's going with you up in first class?"
Heather mauled over that question. She could take Sierra to get her in her side, but then that'll leave Cody alone with Alejandro. She could take Alejandro so Sierra won't get mad at her for separating her and Cody, but despite that, something inside her told her that's a bad idea. She looked over at Cody, who was still a little sick from that "love tea" Sierra has been giving him. Her choice was made.
"I pick Cody."
"What?!" Sierra and Alejandro said in unison. If Cody was shocked too, he didn't show it.
In the first class section, Cody was lying on the couch when Heather walked over to him with a bowl of soup.
"Here, this should make you feel better." She gave him the bowl. He eyed it for a second before taking the spoon and began eating. About half way through he stopped and looked at Heather.
"Thanks Heather, It really needed this." He said gratefully before looking confused. "But why are you doing this?"
"Sierra was making you sick, I didn't want to leave her to her own devices. Besides, earlier when I said we were friends I meant it." Heather told him while he continued eating the soup.
"Oh. Well, thanks Heather."
Heather just nodded. "Between you and me, you're the only ine here I can really trust. Sierra's too crazy and Alejandro is much to sneaky. So we should stick together till the finale."
"Sure thing. Besides, with Sierra around, I feel safer around you than her. Then again, I'd feel safer around anyone than her."
"Even Izzy?"
Cody thought about it.
"Cody?"
"I'm thinking." He said as they both laughed a bit. Soon an intern came by rolling a cart of sweets.
"This is your reward for winning the last challenge. Enjoy." The intern said before walking off. Cody's mouth immediately started to drool at the sight of all the sweets.
"You wouldn't mind if I just..." Cody was about to reach for a chocolate bar, but Heather stopped him.
"Sorry Cody, no candy today. You're still not all the way well." She told him.
"But... chocolate fixes everything!" He cried looking at her with puppy eyes. "Pleeeeeaaase?!"
Heather was about to say no, but the puppy eyes were too much. "Alright, alright fine! You can gave ONE chocolate bar. But no more until tomorrow." She said handing him a chocolate bar. Cody's face lit up like a five year old on Christmas morning and gobbled down the bar, leaving chocolate all around his mouth.
Heather playfully rolled her eyes at Cody's child-like antics before grabbing a napkin. "You really are a child aren't you?" She said cleaning the chocolate around his mouth.
"Mmhphhmm!" He muffled before Heather wiped all the chocolate off of him. "I'm not that childish." Cody protested.
"You go totally crazy over sweet stuff." Heather countered.
"Who wouldn't? Candy is the best thing to have ever been invented in the history of things that have been invented. No appetite required, there's a variety of different kinds, and they have just the right amount of flavor." Cody ranted, smiling like an idiot just talking about it.
Heather smilee wnd ruffled his hair a bit. "You're not defending yourself very well."
Cody blushed a bit from the affection. "Hehe, I guess not." He then let out a tured yawn.
"It's been a long day. Why don't we get some sleep?" Heather said. Between the heat, painful soccer, hunting Zeke, and the lingering effects of the tranq balls, it's been a very tiring day. And to think this was just another normal day for them when there on this show. Heather's thoughts were interrupted when she felt something on her shoulder. She turned to see that Cody has fallen asleep on her shoulder. She could have just gotten up or shove him away, but she didn't want to. He looked too peaceful in his sleep to be disturbed. Heather smiled, not that she would admit it out loud, but she found Cody's child-like nature pretty adorable. Heather closed her eyes and leanes ger head on top of his.
"Goodnight Cody."
It was faint, but she could just barely hear Cody say, "Goodnight Heather."
I've always felt that Cody is one of the few people that Heather would act softer around. Love seeing these two together.
