[The camera showed Amity Park with gray clouds overhead looking dreary and sad. A flyer with Sam and Selena's face was posted on a telephone poll with the Manson's number and the generic "we miss them very much" written under the picture. The picture was quickly destroyed by a stray ecto-blast from the ghost fight happening in the middle of the street.]
[Danny Phantom looked decidedly annoyed at the ghost he was fighting. The ghost had been running away from him basically the whole fight. He ran a frustrated hand through his white hair and released a growl. His opponent was tall and well built with a pale complexion and red eyes. The first thing Phantom had said upon seeing him was, "No way! A vampire! Plasmius isn't alone anymore!" That had decidedly pissed off the entity. The ghost did not say his name nor did he say anything. His hair was pitch black and he moved remarkably fast, he would swoop in and take a hit then back out before Phantom could retaliate. Danny floated a good pace away from his opponent with his arms crossed. His opponent observed him with his head tilted.]
"Look, Constantine, you are really pissing me off so either start talking or get lost. Usually I have to hear a monologue like maybe 3 minuets tops after a villain appears but nooooo, you want to be different." The young hero told him, his voice deeper than usual showcasing his annoyance with the situation.
"You," the ghost tilted his head, "are much different than before. I cannot say I approve."
"Futue te ipsum," Danny growled. "What do you mean by 'before'?"
The ghost's face changes to something of mild shock and amusement. "Nevermind, you never did like to be toyed with. Shall we get serious."
"Look buddy you can fuck right off for all I care. But since you're here fucking with my town," he made a gesture around him with his hands, "here I am."
[The ghosts seemed to pull a sword from no where causing Phantom to groan.]
"Do all ghosts have secret swords hidden somewhere that I don't know about? You're like the third one to have a sword in the span of a few months. Do I have to get a sword now? Wait does this really mean I get a cool sword now?" He finished excitedly.
[The ghost quirked an amused brow lunging for the boy. Danny quickly moved out the way putting his body on the defensive. The ghosts continued to make unsuccessful slashes at the hero who blocked to the best of his ability. Just as he was about to attempt to make something out of his ice a sword appeared in his hand. He looked at it contemplatively, giving it a few swings for practice. An evil smirk appears on his face as he moves to engage the ghost.]
[He blocks the attacks coming at him in rapid succession to the best of his ability. A particularly strong hit sends him down to the ground leaving a small crater. He quickly gets up and pushes off the ground with a burst of speed and strength that seems to amuse the ghost. The two fought viciously for minutes until both were forced to retreat. Just as it seemed Phantom was going to jump back into the fray his sword broke. As in the blade literally fell to pieces.]
"Dude, you broke my magically gifted sword. Thanks, Dracula." Danny huffed annoyed. He looked at his hand as a weight appeared in it. Another sword had been gifted to him but this time it seemed to be more carefully crafted. The hilt was ice blue and the blade was sharp and seemed to have ice coating the edge of it. He tilted his head to the side curiously as he channeled his powers through the sword. With a slash a wave a green energy came out and with another a wave of ice white. He gave a happy cackle tossing his head back and looked at his opponent through shielded eyes. "You are so fucked," he declared, launching himself at the ghost.
[The ghost seemed to take an involuntary step back as he observed the boy and his new toy. He tuts slightly and spins out of the way of an impressive attack. The two ghosts seem to move in a carefully crafted deadly dance with both of them now taking equal amounts of damage. Just as the two started to get more violent Phantom seems to get the upper hand.]
[The ghost's sword is knocked out of his hand by an impressive kick and slash combo by Phantom. The ghost, after losing his sword, kneels before the white haired boy much to his confusion. The two float mid air one on his knee with the other standing over him with a heaving chest.]
"It seems," the ghost gives Danny a look he doesn't understand with a twinkle in his eye, "that I was mistaken. Well fought, maiestatem tuam."
Phantom's eyes seem to change. Suddenly they look older, wiser as he hums in approval stating, "Well fought, indeed." Snapping out of it and sucking the other in a thermos then disappearing.

[Danny Fenton is seen slumped over a desk ignoring the camera that is pointed directly at him. His appearance is slightly rumpled and wrinkled with a stain on the collar of his baggy blue shirt and his hair is hanging in his eyes. The camera jerks slightly showing that they are in a classroom.]
"Danny," the cameraman questions, "how do you feel about the recent events?"
[Danny doesn't do more than flinch at the mention of recent events being his best friend and her little sister missing. He sits up straighter and puts his head down on the desk with a resounding thunk.]
"We were told by many of your classmates that you two were in a relationship? It's okay to tell us how you feel Danny."
Danny lifts his head and glares at the camera, "What are you therapists now? I'm not going to tell you or however many viewers watch this show what I'm going through right now. And she's not my girlfriend."
"We just want to be sure that you and your fellow classmates are okay, Danny. So far we haven't seen much of you on camera besides when you're in class. We can tell that you are affected by this and the school thinks it'd be nice to show just how affected by this you kids are." The cameraman persists.
He takes a controlled breath in then lets it out, "You just said that we were affected by this right? Well me avoiding the camera's is me dealing with this. So why don't you go harass someone else, yeah?"
"You seem angry," the man notes, taking in the boy's defensive posture. "Is it because people keep assuming that you know more about the disappearance than you're letting on? What motivations did they have for disappearing? Where would they go? Where did they go? It's been a week since the disappearance, do you miss them?"
His features stay the same but the look in his eyes change for a second, "Every damn day," he whispers, getting up and leaving the room.
[Tucker is seen next wearing an open red button down shirt with a light yellow t-shirt under it. He takes in the room with suspicious glances. He gives the camera a hesitant smile then proceeds to get on his phone.]
The cameraman coughs causing Tucker to glance at him briefly, " How do you feel about recent events, Tucker?"
"What events?" The teen asks raising a brow but not looking up from his phone.
"You're best friend and her sister are missing."
"Oh," he says in a small voice, "those events. Are you asking everyone or…?"
"How do you feel?"
[Tucker types something on his phone then makes a face.]
"You tried talking to Danny didn't you?" He pauses and watches as the man grimaces. "He didn't react well did he. Look, I personally don't feel comfortable talking about my personal problems and feelings on TV so I'm not going too. I'll tell you this though, it's been hard adjusting to not having her around anymore, sometimes I'll turn around to say something to her expecting her to be right there but she's not."
[Tucker looks back down to his phone and the sound of paper rustling fills the room.]
"We just want to make sure you and your classmates are okay. How do you feel about people assuming that you know more about the disappearance than you're letting on? Did you play a hand in it? What motivations did they have for disappearing? Where did they go? Do you miss them?"
Tucker gives the man a droll look. "Of course I miss them, they're family. Are we done here? You guys really annoyed Danny so I gotta hunt down wherever he decided to hide."
"Did you see the Phantom fight earlier?"
[Tucker snorted, pulling an image up on his phone. It was an up close picture of Phantom with his new new sword since the first one got broken.]
"I wonder who gave it to him? But then again, Clockwork works in mysterious ways," Tucker winks taking his leave.
"What does that mean?" The cameraman asked after the boy.
[April is seen sitting at the desk next wearing an oversized light yellow sweater looking over something in a binder.]
"How do you feel about recent events?"
[She looks up, giving an unamused eyebrow raise. She taps her chin in thought.]
"Sam is resourceful," April tells the camera, "and she knows how to box or was it martial arts or something else. And she loves her sister so she's gonna make sure nothing happens to either of them."
"That's...good. We're just trying to make sure you and your classmates are okay."
She scoffs, "Sure you are."
"Do you think that Tucker and Danny know more about the disappearance than they're letting on? What motivations did they have for disappearing? Do you miss them?"
[She gives the camera a short look before writing something in her binder and closing it.]
"I think that Danny and Tucker honestly had no clue what Sam was planning, though Selina can be quite devious. The only motivation I can think of is shit parents. And of course I miss them, most of the other girls in the class don't really argue and debate like Sam and Selina was a darling to be around."
"What can you tell us about the class that we can't find out from the show?"
"In the show it seems like certain people speak a lot but it's really not like that at all. Mikey and Lester speak more off camera and so do a lot of the other kids, Tucker," she rolls her eyes fondly, "is always on his phone or PDA even during gym. Paulina and Star are al-freaking-ways talking. Dash and Kwan are throwing paper balls and making dumb jokes. Dylan, of course, keeps us laughing by cracking jokes at Lancer's expense and mocking people dramatically. Danny doesn't like to speak, so he's usually napping or in the bathroom. Me and the other girls pass notes to each other often. West is always spouting bullshit theories. Valerie's too busy being a bitch to have any fun, and there's rumors going around that she got dropped by the A-list." April recounts looking upward as if she was reading off a mental list. "The show really only focuses on the drama and not on Amity Park itself these days. You would think that the ghost showing up more would be uber interesting for you guys." She shrugs, gathers her stuff and leaves.
[Paulina is shown fixing her makeup in a compact.]
"How do you feel about recent events?"
"Well," the Latina girl draws out, "Gothica has always been dramatic ya' know. Like, you accidentally step on someone's crayons and their hand together at the same time and suddenly you're the bad guy," she huffs with a small pout. "She's gonna come back, give it a few months but she's gonna come back."
"Do you think-" he was cut off by the girl.
"That Fenton and Foley know more than they let on?" She finishes. She gives the camera an incredulous expression, "Of course! No way those two dorks let their best friend sneak off without their knowing. They're practically attached to each other, especially Manson and Fenton, we don't call them lovebirds for nothing."
"What can you tell us about-," he was cut off again.
"The show or the town?" She looks at him expectantly. "The end of the year is coming up so look forward to us having end of the year games and other cool stuff. And basketball season starts soon so come and see me cheer! Did you guys here that you're gonna have to focus on the town more? And that the way the audience is viewing the show will change? Maybe that's next season? Oh well." She giggles innocently on her way out the door.
[Star is seen filing her nails. The cameraman sits and clears his throat.]
"How-," he gets interrupted.
"Did you guys here that Mrs. Thortan got fired for sleeping with students? Apparently they got special treatment if they slept with her and got better grades. I heard a few guys saying that they'll have a set grade in her class no matter how bad they screw up if they slept with her." Star says unprovoked eyes watching the cameraman for a reaction.
"N...o?" He says back confused. "But that's not what we're here about. How do you feel about recent events?"
"You mean Gothica going missing? Please," she dismisses, flipping her hair over her shoulder, "she seemed like the type to run away. Not sure why she did though," she says looking off into space. "Maybe her and Fenton were having relationship problems," she snickers to herself.
"Do you think that-," she cuts him off.
"Definitely. Those two losers know something and they're not telling anyone what it is. When you ask them about her Foley clams up and walks away and Fenton finds a way to redirect the conversation. I'm gonna find out what they know!" She says determinedly.
"Anything else we should know?" He asks dazedly.
"Apparently Manson was rich. She's the heiress of the Manson Deli Toothpicks. And I hear that they have another business that's kept really hush hush. But it's doing even better than the deli picks," Star finishes leaning back in the desk satisfied with herself.
[Dash is shown next disinterestedly tossing a football in the air.]
"How do you feel about the recent events?"
"It was bound to happen sometime in this shit hole town. I'm not really surprised it was Manson though. Sucks for us guys cause the eye candy is gone, she may be like 5'3 or whatever but she is smoking hot the only problem is with her attitude she's like 6 feet." Dash admits without any shame.
"Do you think that her friends know more than they let on about her disappearance?"
"Sure," the blonde shrugs, "we have a bet going on that her and Fenton smashed before she left and that's why he's angry."
The cameraman sighs, done with the teens in the school, "Anything else you would like to add?"
"Gregor and Romaon aren't in our homeroom but they occasionally sit in on it. They're in our other classes though. And whatever rumor they spread about Manson died pretty quickly, I guess the trio made sure to nip that in the bud, whatever it was." Dash shrugs before leaving the room.
[Kwan is shown next looking at the camera with a curious expression.]
"Word got around that you guys are questioning us about Manson and other stuff," Kwan informs them lightly. "Manson was pretty nice to people once you get past her immediate defense of sarcasm. I mean she never really talked about her parents where everyone could hear much, the only things we would hear about them was that they were forcing her to wear pink." He shrugged looking down at his hands, "Fenton and Tucker wouldn't just let Sam leave without anyway to contact them but at the same time she might have spoken about it jokingly which is why they're not acting as shocked as they could be. It just sucks ya know?"
[Kira is shown next looking at her phone and ignoring the camera entirely. The cameraman tries to get her attention but she holds a finger up telling him to wait.]
"How may I help you?" Kira asks sarcastically, ignoring the look she was getting from the cameraman. "Do we get a choice in declining to speak with you bums. I noticed that some people haven't come near this room. Look," she pauses looking the man in the eye, "some of us like this dumbass show but majority of us despise this stupid show and refuse to have ourselves exploited by you bigotted assholes. It's literally only our second year of high school and we're still stressing about what we want to do with our lives and then you assholes come and add more stress on top of the pile causing us to act out and just want to not. Sure the teachers don't see any harm but we do and it's causing problems and not the good kind. Some of friends don't want to talk to us anymore cause their scared that our private conversations will be put on camera, the people we're dating are breaking up with us cause the fans keep shipping us with people and suspecting we're dating so and so by compiling some scarily observed analysis, we get people who follow us home begging for us to talk to them, cameras shoved in our face, mic's shoved in our face, flashing lights from the photos that are constantly taking of us, we have to watch what we wear, eat, and do because "apparently" we signed a contract that says so even though I don't remember shit about a contract." She unloads glaring into the camera making quotes using her fingers. She huffs turning in her chair to face the door.
[April's head appears as the door opens. Behind her are Michelle, Mikey, Nathan, Tucker, Kelly, Abby, Dylan, Gilian, and Sofie.]
"It's not that we don't appreciate everything that you guys have done for us but we just want a break to do the things we usually do without having a camera shoved in our faces, yeah?" Kira finishes looking over her shoulder at the guy.
[The scene changes to a boardroom with a round table. Jonathan Knox and his son Durai sat beside each other while Principal Ishyama and Vice Principal Lancer sat across from them with the Fenton's and Vlad Masters on either side and the rest of the crew filling in the rest of the chairs.]
"I'm not sure why the students feel this way but I can tell you that it was merely a-. Hold that thought. Yes?" Vlad answers the phone. His pleasant expression morphs into one of false happiness. "Well, it appears that the students would like for you all to focus on the town more and less on them. Although, I do disagree but they say it's a health concern and they wish for a break, correct Ms. Ishiyama?"
"Well, none of the students have expressed these concerns to us directly. So I would say these are false claims and that the show should continue."
"I see," Jonathan hums. He turns to the Fenton's, "Do you agree? How does your son feel about all this?"
[Jack and Maddie share a look then look at their daughter. Jazz pulls a blue notebook with Danny's name written on it in neat black sharpy. She flips to a certain page then shows it to them.]
"Jazz wants to be a psychologist so more often than not she uses Danny to help her gather data, and she notes that Danny has never actually been for the show and wishes that everyone would leave him be," Maddie says as she reads what's on the page.
"From my brief interactions with the students, I would say that only the nerds and losers are against the show. They're claiming that it's giving them psychological trauma and that they should have a choice on whether or not and when they want to be on camera. They were quickly told to shove their opinions elsewhere since they have a contract that they signed."
[A weird vibe envelopes the room as Durai continues to speak. Vlad seems to be the only one not actively paying attention to the teen. He merely looks around the room taking in the reaction of those around him.]
"Yes, well," Vlad claps his hands standing up, effectively shattering the spell that the other occupants were put under, "if that is all then the Principals shall inform their students of the new contract that they are to follow. And do be sure to be careful some of the students are very tricky and know where to hide from the camera's. I'm sure that the ghost hunting assembly coming up will be a great time to get genuine reactions from the kids."

[February]
[Ghost Safety Assembly]
[Lancer's class]
[A sea of mildly bored students are shown as the Fenton's stand in the middle of the gym and give them instructions on how to briefly get rid of a ghost till the proper authorities come. In the back of the bleachers at the very top to the right sit Lancer's homeroom class. None of them were really paying attention since they knew they would hear it again for the next two years of high school. Sure they should pay attention but at the same time they have Danny Fenton in their class and if it all comes down to it they'll just ask him.]
[April was leaned back against the wall with her eyes closed and Tucker was leaning against her legs doing something on his phone. Michelle sat next to her doodling in a journal, Kelly, Abby, Kira, and Sofie sat in a makeshift circle playing cards. Paulina, Star, and Megan were whispering to each other, Nathan and Mikey were playing a game on their DS's, Ricky, Gilian, Zack, and Dylan were playing something in a notebook, Dash and Kwan were tossing a football back and forth discreetly and Danny was sat to Tucker's right leaning up against the railing asleep. Valerie sat slightly away from the class by herself.]
[The camera focused on the Fenton's as they droned on and on about ghost, Jazz helping them by clicking the slides and showing the weapons]
"Now we'll have a live demonstration unlike the one from the games, I'll be leading the simulation while my husband and daughter explain what the weapon I'm using is and what it does," Maddie tells the crowd of teens excitedly.
[She gestures for her husband to set something up, he seems to forget what she meant until he pulls a thermos out of no where. A ghost appears in a flash of light a low level ecto-entity appears. It looks around confusedly and makes a weird sound that seems to be its way of showing its confusion. It looks around spots the Fenton's and makes a high pitched sound then proceeds to try and get away.]
"As you can see," Maddie says smiling sweetly at the teens as she holds the ghost captive with a glowing green rope, "it knows who we are and what we do. Jack dear, please get the Fenton wrist wray ready." The two switch once the hulking man has the object in hand. "Now we gave you kids these to use during the games and contrary to what was shown to you it cannot be split into two weapons. You slap it on your wrist and it immediately comes to life. You aim and fire, simple." She gets the next weapon ready. "This is the Fenton shocker it looks like a normal everyday pen until you take the cap off and then if in close enough proximity to a ghost you use like a taser and shock them. This is a compact that is actually used to track ghosts much like the Fenton Finder but much easier to carry around."
[The woman drones on showing each weapon and what it does using the ghost from earlier as a test subject. The teens watch enraptured with the demonstration and asking questions when need be. The camera turns once again to Lancer's class who have shifted a bit. Tucker was sitting next to April talking to Danny about something while glancing down at the boys' parents. April was awake and was chatting with Michelle, Sofie, Kelly, Abby, and Kiyanah. Kira was facing Dylan as the two talked about something with Gilian adding himself to the conversation occasionally. Mikey and Nathan moved further down in the bleachers and were now sat with a group of fellow nerds all watching a boy play intensely on his DS. Dash and Kwan were talking to Paulina, Star, and Megan. Ricky and Zack were sitting by a quiet Valerie who looked like she was reluctantly taking part in their conversation.]
[A high pitched sound was heard causing Danny and Tucker to look around. The sound is heard for a second time and attracts more attention. April stops talking to her friends and turns to Tucker seemingly asking if he and Danny hear the sound as well. Danny nods to her and the group stay quiet looking around cautiously. The sound happens again and again till all of Lancer's class are able to hear it and can be seen confirming with each other that they do indeed all hear the sound. Mikey turns around to his class and says something that makes them all look to Danny, who shrugs. A boom of thunder claps loudly shaking the gym causing everything to stop. The high pitched sound is heard more clearly in the silence of the building. The camera pans up to the lights as the sound of glass breaking rings throughout the gym. All the lights burst row by row causing students to cry out in fear. The camera switches to night mode to be able to see what's happening. Flashlights are turned on and teachers go to their classes to make sure everyone is accounted for. The building shakes again and a flash lights up the building. A shrill scream is heard from the bleachers then silence. Everything returns to normal but silence hangs heavy in the building. The camera goes back to normal and focuses on Lancer's class who are turned facing the wall behind them. They were further down from the top backs facing the rest of the gym as they stared at the wall. Written in green was a message that promised nothing good.]
'See you over Summer. We'll have a GREAT time. Being lost can be a good thing, right kids? What a great time of year to go camping.'
[The teachers close in on the students asking them who did it. They yell over each other adamantly denying that it was them and that they had no idea who the message was for. Danny stepping forward shocks the teachers out of their scoldings. He approaches the wall despite them telling him to back away. He tilts his head as he stares at the wall carefully.]
"Isn't it a little early to make Summer plans," he deadpans, turning to the student body with an eyebrow raised.
[Tucker unsuccessfully tries to hold in a laugh, but proceeds to double over laughing wholeheartedly. His classmates join him with April shaking her head saying something along the line of "Only Danny would say some shit like that."]
"Well," Tucker drawls out looking around, "some of us are getting kidnapped this Summer. I wonder if nose goes will get us out of it? Should we play just in case? You know, just to be sure who definitely doesn't want to go? Can I say no? Who is okay with this? Why camping?" The boy makes a disgusted face.
"Shut up, Tucker," several people say at once as the screen fades to black.
Oh boy the joys of Summer. It has been a while but I'm getting there slowly but surely. So it looks like some things are being brought to light and spoken on even if no one wants to hear it. Welp, looks like the teens are going camping or more like being forced to go camping by a weird person or ghost or whatever.
