The Kids Are NOT Alright

by Madison Mumford

It has been a good few months since the new hit show Living Ghostly has come out and I can safely say...that town is nuts! From the ghosts, to the long history of bullying, to the scarcely seen parents...should I go on?

Now I know what you're wondering, what does that have to do with the title? Literally, everything!

Just recently we learned that Sam Manson and her little sister Selina Manson have gone missing and have been missing since like Christmas or was it Sam's birthday (I don't really know they haven't really released a statement about it or anything, which is a red flag guys) and that they are still questioning people...I guess. At first it was strange that none of the kids seemed worried, not even her best friends. But then again the trio tend to stay off camera even though the episodes suggest otherwise. You can tell how much they don't care for the show by how the camera's usually skip over them or don't linger on them for too long or how in some shots they have disappeared all together. Sorry, I'm off topic. But then we learned in a message at the end of the most recent episode, that seems like the producers or anyone apart of the show besides the teens didn't know about, a message from one of the teens telling us that after Sam went missing they went to school 5 days after and it was really quiet the first day back and that the first part of the last episode, which was 4, was how they were basically the whole week. They were back in school January 10th a Monday, by the way. Anyone else notice that the episode was pretty all over the place? Good. It was because the teens weren't feeling it and they had to put some footage together for the episode. The only reason they seemed hype at all was because they were told to "act happy" because they have a "job" to do. It seems that they all actively participated in Mr. Lancer's lesson to take their minds off things.

I really want to know what the deal was with all the arguments and drama happening lately? The start of episode 4 was the playback of an argument from the talk show the kids did, but this argument obviously happened after and we're only just seeing it now. We now know that the A-Lister's were acting nice with their classmates but when Michelle said that they argued way more in real life I didn't expect it to be this much! It's like everytime someone breathes there's an argument. But I am glad that they're being themselves on camera more. People did point out that Kiyannah had a point that the tea was hot! Megan and the other A-lister's were ragging on Dylan for exposing them and when Kira jumped in to defend him, Megan exposed the fact that Kira -possibly- has a crush on Dylan. But Dylan didn't bat an eye; he just turned to Megan and exposed her for trying to take down the Queen Bee of the school, Paulina. So when Kiyannah brought it up again the class mainly focused on the fact that Megan was trying to usurp Paulina by getting with Dash. Now, Danny Fenton is brought up, because apparently he and Paulina dated, since Megan thought that they were treating her unfairly and pointed out that Paulina did in fact find Danny hot. Valerie was quick to say so did many other females (was her response jealous sounding to anyone else? No? Just me, ok.) also found him hot so Paulina wasn't special. But Megan then turned the situation around to go back onto Kira just as the argument was winding down since she said, "They share boys like they share ponytail holders," which- by the way- was funny. But Dylan wasn't having that cause he immediately turned to glare at Megan ready to say something before April beat him to it. Poor, poor April who had been telling people to mind their business the whole start of the episode. And when Megan tried to come for her! That was comical. (I think everyone is just as curious as I am about what the nature of April and Tucker's relationship is.)

And it gets even better. Michelle, sweet, little Michelle just spills all the tea in one sitting stating that Megan had slept with Dash and majority of the football team, like damnnn sis! Michelle snapped. The class's true dynamic was shown there with most of the class arguing and the minority of the class not caring in the slightest.

Now, I am actually concerned for Danny and Sam. We haven't really seen them with their parents; we've only seen them with Tucker's parents, who are super awesome. Sure in the first episode Danny came downstairs and in the kitchen only to be captured on camera looking all hot and stuff. That was the first time we really saw him with his family and he barely interacted with them as it was, it seems like he wasn't interested in the show at all. And notice how the townspeople don't even associate Danny with the older Fenton's; he's like a separate entity to them. But Sam's parents...that's a whole different issue. We recently have officially come to find out that Pamela and Jeremy Manson are indeed her parents, so whoever called it kudos to youdos! Although, they claimed that they have no children which we obviously know is now a lie. Not only do they have one kid, they have two! And now that we know what the relationship between her and her parents are like we can all understand why she and Selina ran away. They were in a home where they were unwanted unless to be pawned off as a prize to the sons of other business partners, so no we don't fault them for running away.

And oh my gosh when Kira told the cameraman how she and some of the others felt about the camera's I was like go sis. But some red flags were brought up in the meeting that was held about how the students feel about being recorded all the time. Where is the supposed contract that they all signed and why don't they remember signing it? Why are their concerns being ignored? Well we know why. They aren't the A-list. If the A-list had said that they were tired of the camera's then they would be gone but since a bunch of nobodies called it out and shed some light they are being ignored. Again.

Did you see the way they all just brushed off the incident at the end of the episode and the way the teachers just assumed that one of the teens did it? Danny and Tucker noticed the sound first then April and her friends noticed then Kira, Dylan, and Gilian then the A-list then Ricky, Zack, and Valerie and Finally Mikey and Nathan, who turned to the class and asked about it. After all the theatrics were over with none of the students of Lancer's class batted an eye. They all just kinda stared at the wall like WTFriday. I would have flipped out heck any of us would have flinched at least a little bit! And who screamed?

Overall, I'm worried about these kids. From what we learned watching them being ignored, overlooked, and forgotten is something that they're used to. Before Sofie's channel got deleted along with her video about the show she shed some light on the Casper school system. She said that she had found the show weird at first because of the way the kids interacted and with one another. She said she knew something was up because there was no bullying, which is a legit red flag. So you're telling me that she watched the show and the only reason she found it remotely suspicious was because there was no bullying? That is literally insane. Sure the camera would gloss over the hallways and you can catch glimpses of people being shoved into people and lockers and people being tripped and whatnot but you're telling me it's worse than that at that school? Wow. So yeah, I'm really concerned with the youth in that town and I wonder what else they're hiding from us concerning the teens of the show.

This article is kinda all over the place but the gist of it sticks to the title that none of those kids are alright in the slightest and that there should be more concern shown about that.
