Chapter 7-Making allies
Raven's P.O.V
Raven walked out of her room and looked around. "You look lost," Raven turns her head and looks at Luna.
"I am," Raven says. "I'm Raven Reyes."
"Luna Kom Floukru," Luna says as she grasps Raven's arm.
"You're Lexa's friend. The leader of Floukru," Raven says.
"I am. I was actually on my way to speak with you, Clarke, and Octavia. I can show you to Clarke's room," Luna says.
"Alright," Raven says as she follows the woman. "So, how long have you known, Lexa?"
"I've known Lexa since we were children," Luna says. "Before she was Commander. She is okay with you calling her Lexa?"
"In private and around people she trusts, I know she trusts you. I had to call her Commander for two weeks, though. She let Clarke call her Lexa on day one."
Luna smiles as they get to Clarke's room, and she knocks. The door opens, and Clarke looks at them. "You brought a friend, Raven."
"This is Luna," Raven says, and Clarke nods as she holds her arm out to Luna.
"Clarke Griffin."
"Hi," Luna says as Clarke lets her in. "You must be Octavia."
"I am," Octavia says.
"Shall we begin?" Luna asks, and the girls nod.
Kane's P.O.V
Kane stood in front of Harper, Miller, Jasper, Monty, Wells, and Murphy. "Glad to see that you guys are aboard," Kane says.
"What did my Dad say?" Wells asks.
"I'll be on the dropship, but he wants me to kill Clarke, Raven, Jake, and Octavia when we get down there if they are alive. Which, of course, I'm not going to do," Kane says. "But I am on the dropship. I have talked with some of the builders in, and they are putting in some extra seats for Abby, Bellamy, and Aurora."
"They won't tell anybody?" Murphy asks.
"Everybody can be brought, John," Kane says. "I will be doing a final inspection of the ship before the hundred are brought in. That is when I will take Abby, Aurora, and Bellamy on. They will hide until the guards are gone and then strap in."
"So what do we do for the next eight months."
"Gain allies. The thing is, not all of you can be arrested at once. It will look suspicious, and it is important that you two are not arrested until at least two or three months are left," Kane tells Murphy and Wells. "We can't give Jaha a chance to get Wells out."
"So we need to get arrested slowly over time," Miller says, and Kane nods. "Alright, who wants to go first?"
"We will," Jasper says as he looks at Monty, who nods.
"Alright, you two will get arrested six months before, Miller, you five months and Harper four months before," Kane tells them, and they nod. "For now, that is all. Go to class."
Jake's P.O.V
Jake, Anya, and Indra stood in Indra's room looking at a map. "This is the perfect spot for your village, Jake," Indra says as she marks the map. "It is in the middle of Trikru territory, close to Tondc and Polis," Indra says. "There is a lake a mile north and a river less than a mile south. Plenty of animals as well as trees."
"So what's the catch?" Jake asks. "Why haven't you built a village here?"
"Clanless," Anya says. "Two miles from there is a clanless village. I imagine the man who attacked you guys at your cabin is from there."
"We have to clear the village for you to build your village," Indra tells Jake, who nods.
"You mean kill everybody there?" Jake asks.
"Yes," Anya says. "We didn't know their location. We caught one of them a couple of days ago, and he gave it up. Tomorrow, you, me, Indra, Lincoln, and Octavia will scout the village. See what we're up against."
"I'll have to talk to the girls first."
"We know," Indra says. "This village has killed dozens of travelers. Remember that, Jake."
Clarke's P.O.V
Luna stared at the three girls as they spoke. "Your medical skills are quite impressive, Clarke. I've heard stories all across the Coalition about you."
Clarke blushes. "Thank you, but my Mom she is better than I am. Nyko was telling me how amputation is a death sentence for you people but not ours. With this alliance, we could teach you what we know."
"There is something else you can offer me," Luna says. "Well, Raven can,"
"What can I offer you?" Raven asks.
"From my understanding, you are the genius of your group," Luna says.
"I am pretty amazing, yeah," Raven says with a smirk.
"My clan is on the water. One of the problems we have encountered is that our boats are not very fast, it is hard to trade, and sometimes hard to get to land. Our boats break easily as well."
"I can help you with that," Raven says. "Lexa has told me about places where you keep technology from before the bombs. Take me to the one in Polis, and I can make your life so much easier. I can reinforce your boats. I could build motors for faster travel. We can use solar panels to charge them."
"So do we have to an alliance?" Clarke asks with a smirk after hearing Raven.
"As long as you agree to come and see my clan," Luna says.
"Deal," Clarke says, and Luna nods as she stands.
"I'll tell the guard to send the next leader in," Luna says as she leaves.
Lexa's P.O.V
Lexa sat in her room looking at reports from while she was in Polis. She looked at the door as it came open, and Luna walked in. "Most people knock."
"I'm your best friend. I don't have to knock," Luna says with a smirk.
"How did it go?" Lexa asks as she rolls her eyes.
"Good, I have an alliance with Skaikru," Luna says as she stares at Lexa with an innocent smile.
"What?" Lexa asks as she stares at her.
"Clarke is pretty," Luna says as she sits down across from her.
"She is," Lexa says.
"You trained her. Let her call you Lexa on the first day you met her."
"How do you know that?" Lexa asks.
"I have my ways."
"Raven," Lexa says. "There is nothing going on between Clarke and me."
"But you care for her. You like her," Luna says.
"Of course I do," Lexa says. "I care for all four of them. I've spent the last three months with them and some of those days. I wasn't the Commander. I was just Lexa, and they were amazing. But I am the Commander, which means if people knew that I cared for them, they would be in danger. So I can't show that. To everybody else, they are a means to an end. I am the Commander. I am destiened to be alone. Caring for people puts them in danger. Loving them even more so, love is weakness, Luna."
"You don't believe that," Luna says.
"I should. If I did, Costia wouldn't have died," Lexa says softly. "I will not put them in danger. I will not put Clarke in danger."
"Lexa-"
"This conversation is over. I have work to do. Is there anything else you need, Luna?" Lexa asks Luna, who shakes her head. "Then leave me to my work, please," Luna nods as she stands up and leaves the room. Lexa sighs as she sits down. "Love is weakness," She says. "Love is weakness," She repeats before she begins to work again.
Octavia's P.O.V
Octavia let out a sigh as they finished meeting with the fifth ambassador. "Are we done?" Octavia asks.
"Yes, we only have alliances with Floukru, Ingranronakru, and Podakru," Clarke says.
"It's a start, Clarke. We'll get more once they see how amazing we are," Raven says. "Alright, I'm going to go explore. You two coming?"
"I'm going to stay, start working on trade agreements," Clarke says. Raven looks at Octavia.
"I told Lincoln I would train with him."
"Alright, have fun," Raven says as she leaves the room.
"See you, Clarke," Octavia says as she walks towards the door.
"Hey, O," Clarke says, making Octavia look at her. "If you've already made your decision concerning you and Raven. You should tell her."
"I know," Octavia says before she leaves the room. She walks through the tower until she reaches Lincoln's room. She knocks on the door, and Lincoln opens the door. "You ready?"
"Yes," Lincoln says as he follows Octavia out of the tower and into the training grounds. Octavia stops and removes her sword as Lincoln does the same. The two of them stare at each other for a moment before Lincoln swings at Octavia, who quickly blocks the swing and jabs her sword at Lincoln's stomach. Lincoln hits the sword away and swings his sword at Octavia, who jumps back and smiles at him. "Indra has done well," Lincoln says.
"Thanks," Octavia says before Lincoln swings his sword at her again. Octavia raises her sword as Lincoln brings his down on her, making her step back with a grunt. Lincoln brings his knee up and hits Octavia in the stomach, making her gasp for hair as he punches her, knocking her to the ground.
"Are you okay?" Lincoln asks as he holds his hand out to her.
"I'm fine," Octavia says as she takes his hand. "Let's go again."
Clarke's P.O.V
Clarke sat at a desk in her room. She looks at the door as there is a knock. "Come in," Clarke says, and Jake walks in. "Hey."
"How'd it go?" Jake asks.
"Got an alliance with Floukru, Ingranronakru, and Podakru," Clarke says.
"Great job. Where are Octavia and Raven?" Jake asks.
"Octavia is with Lincoln, and Raven is exploring Polis," Clarke tells him. "I am working on trade agreements."
"Clarke, I can do that."
"No, you got enough to do with Indra and Anya. I can do this," Clarke says.
"Alright, well, I gotta talk to all of you, so I'm going to go get Octavia, and I'll ask Luna to grab Raven. See you in a little bit."
Clarke nods as Jake
Raven's P.O.V
Raven walked through Polis, watching people as they walked away. "Sky girl," She turns her head and looks at a man.
"Raven," Raven says.
"Sorry, Raven," The man says. "I was asked to show you to where our technology is."
"Alright," Raven says. "Lead the way."
The man nods as he leads Raven away from the crowd and through the city. "I figured you would keep this close to the tower."
"It scares our people," The man says as he stops and turns around. He stabs Raven in the stomach, making the woman look at him in shock. "For Heda."
"Raven!" The man looks behind Raven and sees Luna running up to them. He turns and runs, leaving the knife in Raven as Luna catches her. "You're going to be okay," Luna says. "You're going be okay. I'll get you to Clarke."
Jake's P.O.V
Jake was walking through the halls of Polis when he was cut off by a man. "Can I help you?"
The man removes a knife and swings at Jake, who quickly jumps back and removes his sword. "What the hell are you doing?"
"Protecting our Commander," He says as he swings at Jake, who dodges the swing and hits the man in the face before he stabs his sword through his chest. He pulls his sword out and looks at the man as he falls to the ground. "Clarke."
Clarke's P.O.V
Clarke looked at the door as it flew open, and a man came in with an ax. "What are you doing?" Clarke asks as the man swings the ax at her. Clarke jumps back as he swings his ax at her again. She rolls out of the way, and he swings it into the ground. Clarke kicks him in the balls and removes her knife as he falls to his knees and jabs it into his neck. She lets it go as he falls to the ground, and Jake comes running into the room.
"Are you okay?" Jake asks.
"I'm fine. What the hell is going on? He tried to kill me."
"I don't know, but we need to find Octavia and Raven."
"I'm here," Octavia says as she comes into the room with Lincoln. "They attack us by the elevator."
"Clarke!"
Kane's P.O.V
Kane walked through the Ark until he reached a door inside farm station. He knocked on the door and Sinclair opened it and handed him an oxygen mask. He motions Kane inside. Kane walks in and looks at the ship that sat in the room. "How long?" Kane asks Sinclair.
"It will be soon," Sinclair says. "This ship will take you to the ground if you need it," Kane nods as he stares at the ship.
