Chapter 32-A deal between devils

The next day

Lexa's P.O.V

Lexa stood on the balcony of the throne room watching the city. She turned around and looked at Jake as he walked into the throne room. "What are you thinking about Commander?" Jake asks.

"I'm thinking about the future, Jake," Lexa says as she turns and looks at her girlfriend's father.

"Are you worried?"

"There is a lot to come, Jake. In a few months, the rest of Skaikru will drop to the ground. Your leader will be coming with a vengeance," Lexa says. "After we deal with him, then we have to deal with Mount weather and we still do not know where Nia is."

"There is a lot of fighting to come," Jake says. "But right now, we have peace, it may not be perfect but we have it and we have to enjoy it. Every little moment."

"I will," Lexa says. "How are you doing? What you had to do, you should have never had to do it."

"I had to do it, I know that. If I'm being honest, all I want right now is for Nia to pay for what she did. For the lives that were lost, the people who didn't need to die."

"We'll get her, Jake, I promise you that," Lexa says as she lays her hand on Jake's shoulder. "I give you my word, and if you wish, you can swing that sword when it is time."

Jake nods as there is a knock at the door. "Come in," Lexa says.

Kane walks into the room. "Commander, I'm sorry to disturb you," Kane says.

"It's alright," Lexa says. "How can I help you?"

"I was just wondering, what's next?" Kane asks.

"Soon you will all return back to your village and continue your training, I'll continue the search for Nia and we'll come up with a way to deal with Skaikru when they fall," Lexa tells him.

"Will Octavia stay?" Kane asks.

"Octavia will most likely return to the village, but it is her choice," Lexa tells Kane who nods.

"Commander, will you kill Jaha?" Kane asks after a moment.

"I don't know," Lexa answers. "Excuse me," Lexa says before she leaves the room.

Luna's P.O.V

Luna walks into Raven's workshop as she was making plans for the breastplate. "So, I imagine soon, Jake and the rest of Skaikru will return to the village," Luna says as she walks up to her girlfriend.

"They will," Raven says. "Are you worried that I'll be leaving with them?"

"They need you, I can't go with you, I have to stay."

"I was going to give Sinclair and Wick my shop," Raven says. "I can help Lexa here and they can help Jake. I'm staying here with you," Raven says as she takes her hand. "After they return to the village, we'll go to the Oil rigs. Alright?"

"Alright," Luna says before she kisses her.

Costia's P.O.V

Costia sat by Harper as they both took a drink of water. Costia looks at the blond as she takes a drink of water. "You aren't the worst fighter I've ever seen," Costia says after a moment.

"Thanks," Harper says. "For a one handed woman, neither are you."

"Nia didn't want me to have any disadvantages in battle. I've fought with every weapon, trained with every weapon, now I'm not going to be shooting a bow or fighting with a spear but I can still kill with my left hand," Costia tells her. "You need to be prepared cause you will take one soon, I promise you that."

"Who was the first person you killed?" Harper asks. Costia stays silent for a moment.

"After Nia sent Lexa that woman's head. She came down to my cell every day with the same question. Will you serve me? I told her no for weeks, now every time she came down, there was a boy with her. I didn't know who he was, and every day, she would make it worse, the pain was worse, she would feed me less, give me less water, but enough to keep me alive. After a couple of weeks, I finally said yes and she threw…" Costia's voice breaks. "She threw her sword to the ground. Told me and the boy that she would be back in ten minutes, whoever was alive would get to live, and if neither of us were dead, we'd both die," Harper watches Costia as a tear slides down her face. "He grabbed for it first and I tackled him and I…I killed him, I later learned that he was a traitor and Nia was seeing if I was strong, That was the first of many people I killed for her," Costia says as she wipes the tears away.

"I'm sorry," Harper says. "She'll never hurt you again."

"I'll believe that when I see her head taken off her body," Costia says. "Come on," Costia says as she walks towards the middle of the ring and Harper nods as she follows her.

Jake's P.O.V

Jake sat in his room writing on a piece of paper. He looks at the door as there was a knock. "Come in," Jake says and after a moment Indra walks into the room.

"What are you doing?" Indra asks.

"I'm writing a trade agreement for Roan," Jake tells the Trikru leader.

"For Roan? The king without land, and barley any fighters left," Indra says and Jake nods.

"We have to work with Azgeda," Jake says. "Getting rid of Nia, it is meant to be a new start for Azgeda with Roan as King, I'm going to start helping them. I want too."

"You're trying to make up for what you did. For what happened," Indra says as she lays her hand on Jake's shoulder.

"They lost enough Indra and now they need us. We have to stand together, that's how we are going to beat Jaha and Mount Weather."

"Alright, then let me help you, I'll be setting a new trade agreement with Roan as well, so we could work together to help them get Azgeda back into fighting shape," Indra says as she pulls a chair up beside Jake who nods.

Clarke's P.O.V

Clarke watched Wells as he trained with Murphy and Lincoln. "They're doing pretty well," Octavia says as she walks up beside the blond who nods.

"What's bothering you?" Octavia asks her.

"Everything is different now, O," Clarke says. "Who I was when we fell from the ark is a completely different person but Wells is different too. It doesn't feel the same anymore."

"Clarke, you've been through a lot, so has Wells. Of course it isn't going to be the same, you two have to get to know each other again, he loves you and I know you love him. Now you just got to rebuild your bond."

"Well we got five months before we might have to kill his Dad," Clarke says.

"You think we'll have to kill Jaha?' Octavia asks Clarke who nods.

"He won't give up, not even for Wells, the only way he'll give up is if he sees our fathers dead and I'll kill him before I let him kill my Dad," Clarke says.

"Someone is going to lose their father in five months, either me, you and Wells," Octavia says.

"We have to keep our people safe, O. Jaha isn't part of that deal."

"But Wells is, killing his father will hurt him, how are we going to make sure he doesn't get hurt?" Octavia asks.

"I don't know," Clarke answers as she watches

Pike's P.O.V

Pike sat in his cell staring at the wall. He looked at the door as it opened and Jaha walked in. "I hate seeing you like this Charles," Jaha says.

"You hate that you're not controlling me," Pike says. "That I don't think your quest for revenge is worth our humanity."

"We will still have our humanity at the end of this Charles, put Jake and Marcus, they have lost their humanity, they are monsters without empathy and love," Jaha growls.

"They love their families, their daughters," Pike says as he stands up and steps in front of Jaha. "You're just pissed that your son loves them more than he loves you, he loves John Murphy more than you, because you're a monster, and he knows it," Pike growls. Jaha stays silent for a moment before he punches Pike in the face and pushes him to the ground.

"You have until tonight to make a decision, you will stand with me or against me," Jaha growls. "Choose wisely."

Jasper's P.O.V

Jasper walked out of the tower and looked around Polis. "You look lost," Ontari says as she walks behind him.

"I'm still learning the place," Jasper says. "You're Ontari right? Nia's nightblood?" Jasper asks Ontari nods. "So this will be your home now?"

"I'll train with the nightbloods, so when the day comes that Lexa dies and a new Commander is chosen, I can fight in the conclave," Ontari tells him.

"The Conclave?" Jasper asks.

"It is a tournament, all of the nightbloods fight to the death until one is left. That nightblood is Commander," Ontari says.

"That's dumb," Jasper says. "It seems like your blood is rare. What happens if all the nightbloods die, who becomes, Commander."

"I think Lexa plans on trying to change it," Ontari tells him. "I've never gotten to explore this city, would you like to join me?" Ontari asks Jasper who nods.

Costia's P.O.V

Costia sat in her bed as the sun started to set in the sky. She looked at the door as it opened and Lexa walked into the room. "I just finished speaking with Harper, she said you did well today, that she would like to continue training with you," Lexa says.

"Does that mean I have my freedom?" Costia asks her.

"I means that you have a chance to earn my trust," Lexa tells her. "You will continue to train Harper and that goes well, we will see what is next," Lexa tells Costia who nods.

"Lexa," Costia says. "Clarke, she's a good person, and she loves you, more than I did, I know you love her more than you ever loved me, and as much as I blame you for happened to me, I want you to be happy. She's your chance, don't lose that, not for anything, and when the day comes that you have to choose between her and your people, remember that she is your people, and there is always a option three. Cause she is your last chance to ever be happy," Costia tells Lexa who nods as she turns towards the door but stops as she grabs the doorknob.

"If I knew you were alive, I would have burned Azgeda to the ground to save you. I'll do the same and more for Clarke," Lexa says before she leaves the room.

Clarke's P.O.V

Clarke sat with her head against the backboard drawing Wells, Lincoln, and Murphy training. She looks at the door as Lexa walks in. "How did Costia do?" Clarke asks.

"Good," Lexa says as she takes her rope off and puts her weapons on the couch. "How was your day?"

"Good, Raven said she should have the plans done in the morning," Clarke tells Lexa who nods as she sits in the bed.

"We have five months until Jaha is here, hopefully that is five months of peace," Lexa says as she takes Clarke's hand. Clarke sets her notebook down and nods.

"Hopefully," She says before she kisses Lexa. "I love you."

"I love you," Lexa says as she kisses her again. After a moment Clarke grabs Lexa's shirt and pulls it over her head.

Charles's P.O.V

Charles looked at the door as it once again opened and Jaha walked in with two guards behind him. "Time to choose, Charles, either you work with me, or we escort you to your death," Jaha says. Charles looks Jaha in the eyes.

"Alright, Jaha. I'll help you."

Nia's P.O.V

The bag is pulled off of Nia's head and she sees Dante sitting at his desk with Cage beside him. "We have made a decision, Nia," Dante says. "We will work with you, we will work together to kill the Commander and after, we will all get what we want."

Nia smiles. "Then let's get started."
