Welcome back, everyone. Enjoy and review.

Post-Assembly

The day went on and Kiki just wanted to start her investigation into who had stolen Barrage's wooden duck… What an odd thing to steal. All throughout the day, she wondered who could have had a motive to steal such a thing on the first day of school, to steal something that was a personal belonging of the school's principal.

When the afternoon classes ended, Kiki looked at her notebook, which she had spent a good portion of the afternoon writing down possible suspects. So far all she had was a waiter at some place that Barrage had forgotten to tip… That couldn't have been right, it was just so stupid and random.

The moment Oleg and Hana had found her, Kiki was still focusing on her notebook. There just had to be some sort of a suspect, but who?

About to walk into the door of an open locker, Kiki felt a hand on her shoulder. Looking up from her notebook, she saw that it was Oleg while Hana incredulously inquired: "Girl, what are you up to? Trying to figure out who stole that dumb duck?"

"It isn't dumb!" Kiki exclaimed before quickly adding: "Okay, maybe it is, but still, it is something, even if this is a stepdown from the Big Prank of 2012."

"I mean, it is kind of a weird thing to steal." Oleg agreed. "But if you leave something like that on your desk, you are kind of begging to have it stolen."

Kiki nodded slowly. It was a wonder such a theft had not happened before. Then a question came to her and thus did she ask: "Hey, has anyone seen, Hone?"

"I haven't." said Oleg.

"He was talking to the teacher." Hana answered.

"Oh, what class do you have together?" asked Kiki.

"Geography." Stated Hana.

Kiki groaned in disgust. She had never met anyone who enjoyed geography class. She had ever heard it said that even geographers had not enjoyed geography class. Why had Hone been talking to the teacher? Probably not out of any enjoyment.

"Why was he talking to the teacher?" inquired Kiki.

"He asked how he could get out of taking geography." Hana answered. "I didn't hear the answer since I left after that."

"I hope he got a good answer." Kiki commented, though privately she doubted it. Even in high school, there could not have been an escape from geography… Not until the tenth grade she was told.

Her mind returning to the subject of who could have stolen that wooden duck of Barrage's, Kiki wondered who among the students of the high grades could have motive to steal it. This was quite the start to high school, a mystery, even for something as stupid as the theft of a wooden duck, but just where was Kiki supposed to start? Who was she supposed to start questioning first?

Well, she was thinking of joining the cheerleaders, maybe one of them could give a suggestion, but they probably would not give such information to someone who was not one of them, probably not even a new girl like her if she managed to make the squad.

Sighing and shaking her head, Kiki wondered whether there was even a point. What? Did she think she was going to be the new Lee Ping with investigations of her own? She could dream, dream about having marvellous adventures here at A. Nigma.

Perhaps it was too early. Yes, that had to be it! It was too early and yet… Was it not said that Barrage was quick to find the culprit? Perhaps Kiki was not needed, after all how long could a wooden duck be missing from someone with a bionic eye? What manner of abilities did that eye even grant Barrage? Could it shoot lasers?

A smile spreading across her face, Kiki giggled and clapped her hands together. Loudly, Oleg exclaimed: "Oh, no! What is she daydreaming about?"

With a small chuckle, Hana said: "Could be anything. Girl has everything on her mind."

That was true. Kiki's mind had already switched to the thought of taking a trip to the beach on the weekend, if her fathers would allow it.

Looking back and forth, she wondered if there was any sign of a wooden duck hidden in someone's backpack or some such thing. Surely, the idea would be to take it out of the school. To steal it and keep it on school grounds would be… Actually, someone might very well be stupid enough to hide it somewhere in the school, but the question was where? In the rafters of the gym? In a locker?

No! That couldn't have been it. All the lockers would doubtless be searched so where could that darned duck be?

As Hone arrived, Kiki said: "Heard you were asking to get out of geography from Hana. Any luck?"

Sighing, Hone answered: "None. It seems geography is mandatory for the ninth grade."

"Yikes, that is too bad." Hana commented. "Guess you and me will be suffering through geography until next semester."

Rubbing his forehead, Hone commented: "Maybe the geography teacher stole the wooden duck. "She looks like someone who would steal something useless."
