CH.2: Captain on Deck
(Author's note: Ok little disappointed with the first chapter, it was good, it just looked long on the software I use when I do my stories the chapter seemed longer that it did on the site. Anyways, I will listen to any opinions you the readers have to say, and if you have questions, give me a PM, and I might answer it in the Author's note in the next chapter if you are alright with it, anyways to the story.)
An hour past since the Duel Academy Entrance Exam, on his way home from the stadium, Draco walked through the Domino Park, sitting at the fountain in the center, eating the grilled chicken salad he picked up from the food cart stationed there, as he ate he pondered over the thought on why he was placed in Slifer Red, not that he minds, he has gone over several theories and each one always had the same conclusion.
"It's clear whoever did it, didn't like the way I mopped the floor with the Doc." He thought as he took a bite from his lunch, "Well, doesn't matter. If it was him. I think he'll be more embarrassed when a 'Slacker' beats his so-called elite duelists."
Draco finished his salad, taking the container to the nearest trash-can, throwing it away and looked at the clock standing in the center of the fountain he was just eating his lunch, "Hmm, 2 o' clock. Got to hurry home and tell them the Dorm I'm in." Draco sighed happily as he walked through the park taking the west exit/entrance continuing into town getting a few hellos from neighbors or stopping to help others with moving heavy objects, after about twenty minutes Draco approached his home and unknown to everyone else, standing guard was a dragon wearing red base color armor, with golden edge trims, light helm, only covering it's forehead, chest, shoulder pardons, gauntlets, waist armor, and shin guards, however along the waist armor a small fire lightly blazed along the top, the helm and to the shoulders did the same, but on the left the flame blazed blue. The dragon itself, outer scales being black as a moonless night while its underbelly being white, it also wielded a halberd, or a great Axe, with a smaller blade on one side. The dragon looked over seeing Draco before smiling warming as he approached the house.
"Welcome home, Young Lord Draco." The dragon spoke, sounding gentle and female, "I take it the exam was a success?"
"I'm sure you already know the answer, Sophitia." Draco replied, "If you're guarding the house, Mom and Dad aren't home?"
"That is correct." The dragon replied, "Your father is working out deals for that game shop he's watching over, for inventory improvement. And your mother is out getting groceries to celebrate your achievement in entering the Academy."
Draco sighed shaking his head slightly, not openly admitting he loves his parents more than he lets others know, before walking to the door of his house and glide his hand on the wall next to the door before his hands hit a well-hidden panel, opened it up and pulled a spare house key out.
"Knew I forgot something when I rushed out the door this morning." Draco muttered as he put the key into the lock, "It was your mother who placed your key there, Young Lord." Sophitia stated, "She saw the key on the kitchen table and placed it there so you can get in."
"Alright, thanks Sophitia." Draco said, "You are relieved of duty."
Sophitia bowed her head in respect, "As you command, Young Lord."
The dragon vanished as Draco walked into the house, closing the door as rubbed the back of his head, heading up to his bedroom Draco rubbed his eyes slightly, being tired from the day's events, well from lack of sleep working on his deck the night before to get it ready for the exam, he got into his bedroom, before collapsing on his bed.
"Hope I can get at least a few minutes, if not an hour of sleep." He tiredly thought to himself as he fell to sleep. Downstairs the front door opens, a woman with gentle yet piercing sly-blue eyes, long sliver white hair, stopping to the middle of her back, wearing Light-blue t-shirt, a short skirt to match, both having a slight white and golden pattern came into the house and gently closed the door, giving a warm smile as she placed the groceries on the table.
"Hmm, Draco must be home." She spoke to herself, "Seeing how the door was unlocked and the panel wasn't fully close. That boy of mine." She turned to the stairs walking to them and was about to yell for her son before Sophitia reappeared, kneeling to the woman.
"You Highness, welcome home." She spoke in full respect and loyalty, bowing her head.
"Oh, hello Sophitia." She replied, "Draco is home is he not?"
"He is Milady, but please do not call for the Young Lord, he is resting at the moment."
Draco's mother thought for a moment before sighing out in disapproval and shook her head, "He stayed up all night working in his deck, didn't he?"
"He did, Queen Saf-"
"It's just Sophi while here, Sophitia."
"As you wish Milady." Sophitia replied still kneeling and bowing her head, "How long until Lord Krono returns?"
"He should be around any moment." Sophi replied, "Mind giving me hand in the Kitchen?"
"I would, Your Highness, but I am just a spirit in this world I can't really touch anything."
Sophi stopped in the kitchen before giggling lightly, "Oh, of course. I've been in this world for far too long I keep forgetting." It was then, alight shined off her body as she began to change, revealing she is in fact, Saffira Queen of the Dragons. Keeping her wings slightly close as she stretches, "Mmm, that's much better."
"Are you sure it's wise to be in your true form?!" Sophitia slightly panicked, seeing the uncovered window, "Oh you know we had the Mage enchant those windows so anyone who sees through them only sees a normal family." Sophi/Saffira replied, calmed with no worries what-so-ever. It was then, they heard a motorcycle pulled into the garage, followed by a man wearing dark leather jacket and black pants came into the house.
"Anyone here?" he called out as he walked into the kitchen seeing his wife there, "Well that answers my question."
They embraced each other before sharing a loving kiss for a few seconds, before looking in each other's eyes, "Being in your true form this early in the day?" he asked her.
"You know I prefer my true body over the realistic illusion." Saffira replied, "Unlike you who doesn't care, Krono."
He just chuckled, before looking around the room, seeing Sophitia kneeling again, and eyeing the stairs, "So, he's home?"
"He is, as Sophitia stated and resting." Saffira replied, "It seems our son was up all-night working on his deck and got either little or no sleep at all."
Krono shook his head before sitting at the table and leaned back, "He defiantly takes after my father." He states, "Plans non-stop and forgets what his body needs."
"Well, with tonight's feast, he'll rest well for his trip in the morning." Saffira said, "Plus I think he is ready for the final addition to his deck."
"Your Highness?" Sophitia asked, "Are you saying the Young Lord is ready for the Fusions?"
"I think that's a great idea." Said Krono, "He did manage to beat us in duels without them, while we did Fuse our own monsters. By the way my lovely Queen, what is tonight's feast?"
Saffira smiled as she had everything set on the counter top by the stove, "Seasoned, Smoked Mutton, the favorite of both of you boys."
"I'll check if the smoker is ready." He replied, "We'll let our boy sleep until it's nearly done, if the smell of the meat doesn't wake him up."
"That is true. If his sense of smell doesn't wake him up, I'll get him up." Saffira said as she began to chop some vegetables for salads.
Each took care of a part of the their feast, as Sophitia vanished once more, no longer needed, Saffira used what seasoning that was there for the mutton before Krono took it outside, placing it in the smoker, greeting some neighbors walking by or in their own yard doing their own thing. Some time has pasted as Saffira walked to the steps and looked into the hallway at the top.
"Draco!" she called out, "Are you awake?"
In his bedroom, Draco stirred slightly and groan as he opened his eyes and sat up in his bed, stretching as he moans out, looking over to his clock reading the time to be a quarter after five, unsure on why he woke up, "Draco?" his mother called out once more.
"Yeah, I'm up Mom." He called back.
"That's good we didn't want you to miss your favorite feast!"
"My favorite-? Are you and Dad making Seasoned, Smoked Mutton?"
"Yes, we are, hurry downstairs and help out with the table, Sweetie!"
Draco, quickly jumped out of his bed and down the stairs turning to the kitchen only to be stopped by a loving hug from his mother, he smiled and returned, his hands right at the wings and shoulders of his mother.
"Congrats on passing the exam, Draco." Saffira said happily, with her son in her arms.
"Thanks Mom," Draco replied, "I just wish you and Dad could have seen how I wiped the floor with the Doc."
They pull apart to get a look at each other, each still smiling, "The Doc?"
"Well, my Examiner said he was a professor at the Academy. I manage to get the card combo to destroy his monster and attack him, directly reducing his Life Points to zero." Draco replied.
"Not even day one in the Academy, and you're already besting teachers." Krono entered the house, after checking the Mutton, "With skills to best a teacher you'll be number one in no time."
"Yeah, about that."
Both of his parents looked at him, confused but waited until they all sat down at the table and Draco explain how his duel went, followed by the Dorm he is in, and ending with his theory on why he is in that Dorm.
"So, let me see if I got this correct." Krono said after Draco finished his explanation and hold back his anger, "You think the reason you are in the lowest Dorm, is because the teacher you beat, no, humiliated in your performance duel, placed you there as revenge?"
"Trust me Dad, I went over it several times in my head and each theory ends with the same answer." Draco stated, taking a bite out of his mutton.
"I'm going to call the Academy right now and tell the headmaster, principal, or whatever his title is that my son doesn't belong in the lowest Dorm with his grades and skill!" his father snarled out getting up and reached for the phone before Saffira cleared her throat.
"Sweetheart, your Pride of a Dragon is showing." She calming stated, glancing up from her cup of herbal tea and smirked slyly, Krono stopping in his tracks as he looked back seeing that "I'm right" smirk.
"Look Dad, as much as agree with you about I don't belong in Slifer Red." Draco told his father, "But I think I should stay in that Dorm."
Krono looked at his son slightly surprised, "And why is that?"
"Well two reasons, one is a more personal while the other is, I guess it has to do with my own Dragon Pride."
"Well tell us the Dragon Pride reason first, Draco." Saffira told her son, "Alright, well if I stay in Slifer Red and beat the other so-called higher ranks it'll just insult the Doc more, especially if I take out Obelisk Blue students which are the best students, to the ranks anyways." He replied and explained.
"And your personal reason?" Krono asked.
"I might have made a friend at the stadium." Draco replied, "He seems like a bright kid, but he seems to self-doubt himself and might have performance anxiety or stage fright."
"And you know this how?" his father asked, "I manage to watch his duel and noticed some moves he should have made but didn't or had ways on getting better cards out but instead attacked." Draco replied.
"So, you are choosing to stay in Slifer Red to help the boy out?" Saffira asked, giving a small smile.
"Yeah, I think all he needs is a friend. I want to help him, you know, toughen him up to get over his fright and build his confidence up."
Saffira placed her cup down and smiled at her son, stroking his hair as he looked slightly uneasy, "Choosing wisdom and honor over your own pride."
Krono patted his son on his back and chuckled deeply, "Never thought I would see the day when our son did something personal."
"Geez, thanks Dad."
"Don't take that as an insult, Son. I'm proud of you. In fact." Krono looks at his wife as she smiled back, "your father and I have something to complete your deck." Saffira added.
Krono left the kitchen and return with a small box, "Think of it as your Academy entrance gift." He said. Draco looked at the box before opening it, revealing 6 Fusion Duel Monsters cards, two Polymerization, and a special fusion spell card.
"Are…. Are you sure I'm ready for to use these cards?" Draco asked his parents.
"Draco you did physical training with your father and Kendov. Mentally prepared yourself with the Mage and Scholar." Saffira told her son.
"And you have beaten your mother and my own decks without Fusions, while we did use them. You are more than ready for the full power of the Dragon Guards." Krono added.
Draco couldn't stop his eyes from watering up from this gift before wiping his eyes and gratefully smiled at his parents and hugged them both tightly, "I'll put these cards to good use."
"Just have fun and don't over-rely on them Draco." Saffira told him, "Your deck is strong without them, use them if they are needed for the battle field."
"Now, go get your things packed up." Krono said, "We don't want you to sleep-in and nearly miss your ride to the Academy."
Draco nods his head, finishing up his dinner, placing his dishes in the sink, then headed to his room to get everything ready for tomorrow, getting his backpack set, he figured his blazer would be the first thing, but decided to leave it out to wear in the morning and went to put several pairs of socks and underpants in his pack, some sleep clothing, and finally his toothbrush and paste, after getting everything packed up, he grinned at his work ready to leave his bedroom for now, but stopped, looking over at his computer.
"Hmm, guess I should look up some of the school rules." He thought out loud, "Or better yet, try to get some info on my fellow classmates."
He sat down at the computer, pulling up the Duel Academy's website, and began to research some of the students that been there longer, seeing their victories duel percentage, even some info on their ace cards, his mind flashed to Syrus, typing only his first name seeing how that's all he told Draco, finding his student page Draco began to skim through the info.
"Hmm a 'Roid' Arch-type?"
Draco checked on the Roid-monsters seeing them almost like cartoony vehicles, many of them having very helpful and devastating abilities, as well as great support spells and traps.
"Hmm, got to be careful." Draco told himself, "If my help is too good, Syrus might be a challenging friendly rival." He gave a friendly grin before looking at his last name, Truesdale and had a funny feeling. Draco typed the family name down in the student search and got two results one being Syrus and the other his older brother. Draco slightly narrowed his eyes clicking on the second result and loaded Zane's page.
"Zane Truesdale. Fourth year at Duel Academy, currently the number one student, deck Arch-type: The Cyber Legacy, highest grade score and a perfect victory streak. Ace cards Power Bond and Cyber-End Dragon." Draco glared at the info before leaning back in his chair, "Why can't I shake the feeling you're the reason for Syrus' dueling problems?"
A knock was heard as Draco, looks back, "Come in." his door opened as his mother walked in, "Thought you would be back down after packing up." She told him.
"Sorry Mom, I thought it would best to get some info on some students and I came across this Zane character."
His mother came over to the computer and looked at the student photo, "Hmm why interested in him?" she asked, "He happens to be Syrus' older brother." Draco answered, "And looking at this info he seems to be cold in duels, showing no mercy or backing his opponent in the corner. I also have this feel he is the reason Syrus is having issues in his duel that I saw today."
Saffira looks over the info just a tad before smiling and kissing her son on his head, "Don't over think it." She told him, "Just do your best and if you do get your chance to duel this boy, give him a proper beating."
Draco smiled at his mother before stretching slightly, turning his computer off, and kissed his mother good night as he headed to bed. Saffira closed the bedroom door and returned downstairs, talking to her husband for a few more minutes before they decided to head to bed, to see their son off on his first day. Early next day, Draco finished putting his Red Blazer on and swung his pack over his shoulder.
"Draco! You ready?" Krono called out, "Yeah Dad, I'm coming down now." He replied.
Heading down stairs Draco meeting his parents at the front door, Saffira now as Sophi, "Aright, lets start heading to the port." Draco confidently announced.
"We decided to take a different approach." Sophi told him, as she and Krono opened a portal.
"The Spirit Gate?" Draco asked, "What if people see us appearing from that?"
"We thought about that." Krono told his son, "We are going to exit three blocks from the pier so no one can see us."
Draco was still unsure but gave his parents a nod as the three entered the Gate, vanishing as they were all through it. At the pier all the students ready and excited for their first day or to returning to the academy, talked with friends or parents, mostly the first years, as the second or higher stuck with their dorm colors, of course the Obelisk Blue students sneered, glared or talked about the "filth" being dumped at "their" Academy. There wasn't that many Slifer Red students, a small group talked about if they were ready for Academy. Sitting alone was Syrus looking worried as he didn't see Draco at all, Bastion did talk to him a bit before getting called to join the other Ra Yellows.
"Guess he didn't wake up in time." He said quietly and let out a depressed sigh before yelping out at a friendly pat on his back getting him to jump to his feet and spin around at the person that patted his back.
"Hey Sy." Draco said, "Draco, you made it." Syrus happily said, "Wait, did you call me 'Sy'?"
"Yeah, decided to give my friend a nickname. You don't like it?"
"No, no! I-I just never had a nickname before." He shuddered, looking back seeing Draco's parents, "So are they your parents?"
"We are." Sophi answer, "And you must be Syrus. Draco told us he made a friend at the stadium yesterday."
"He… He told you about me."
"That he did." Krono added, "And he told us you have what it takes to be a great duelist."
Syrus rubbed his head, and sighed out, "I don't know about that."
"Hmm, you were right Draco, he really does need help with his confidence." Sophi kindly stated.
Syrus' face turned red in embarrassment before Sophi giggled lightly, "Oh no, need to be ashamed sweetie." She told him, "My husband, wanted to get Draco in a Dorm he believed our son should be in, but Draco said he wanted to stay in Slifer Red to help you."
He looked at Draco looking stunned, "You really told them that?" he asked, "I did little buddy." Draco replied, giving Syrus a bro punch on the shoulders, Syrus flinching at the light tap.
"Where are your parents?" Krono asked, "I would have thought everyone would have their parents see them off."
"They couldn't make it." Syrus said, "They were a little too busy with work, but they told me they were happy for me and wished me the best of luck before I left my house."
"That's enough to let you know they do care for you." Sophi stated smiling at Syrus, "Well thank you, Mrs. Kaitos." He said blushing lightly.
It was then the speakers, sent a feedback from the ship, "To all students, please board the ship now. We'll be departing for Duel Academy if a few minutes."
"Guess that's our time to leave." Draco said to Syrus, he then turned to his parents hugging them both, "I'll try to write to you guys once a week."
"Make it once every two weeks." Krono told him, "Don't want your mother to miss you too much."
Sophi smacks his arm, playfully before she sighed and smiled at both Draco and Syrus, "Hope you two have fun."
They waved bye as the two boys boarded the ship, hearing the horn or whistle as the ship began to slowly move from the pier and into the open sea. After a while Draco found the room, he was given for the three-hour ride, Syrus placed next to him, Draco placed his pack in the room, and slipped his duel disk on and walked back out seeing Syrus already out.
"Your parents seem nice." Syrus said, "Especially your mom."
"Yeah, until she gets angry." Draco stated, nervously chuckling, "When my mom gets mad, there is nowhere you can think of to hide that will save you from her wrath."
Syrus lightly chuckled a little scared, but kind of gets the meaning, "So you think you'll get some duels before we get to the Academy?"
"it doesn't hurt to be ready for anything." He replied, "Besides I think some up-tight pricks would want to 'teach me a lesson' for defeating the Head of their Dorm."
"If I were you, I wouldn't duel them." Syrus stated, "They have the rarest cards and are the best."
"And yet the best is in Slifer Red." Draco added smugly, getting Syrus to actually laugh as they walked around the ship ending up in the food court, apparently separated by Dorm color, and a large area in the center for duels. A Blue Student looked at Draco and Syrus with a cocky smug as he stood up and walked up to them, nearly frightening Syrus.
"Well, well, well." He loudly spoke, "If it's the slacker who got lucky against Dr. Crowler."
"What you want to prove it was all luck that beat him and not skills." Draco shot back, now everyone watching them, "Oh please, everyone at Duel Academy knows you Slifer Trash have no skills to be an elite duelist like myself."
"Can hardly call yourself an elite if the only duel victory you had was the entrance exam." Draco shot out, getting the Slifers and Ras to call out the burn the Obelisks glaring back at Draco.
"How dare you talk to your superior!" the student snapped, "Kick that Slacker Trash ass, Zachary!" a girl of Obelisk Blue shouted.
"Yeah Zackary." Draco taunted and mocked, "Try and kick my ass." Both boys turned their duel disks on as everyone stood out of the way, Syrus nervously looked around, teeth chattering.
"So, Draco already made his first rival." A familiar voice spoke up, it was Bastion, "We have to stop them!" Syrus panicked out, "This will get bad if that Obelisk beats him!"
"I don't think we need to worry about that." Bastion stated, "Through my research, Draco is in fact, a Domino City local Champion. Won every junior tournament they had in his neighborhood."
"DUEL!"

"As Dr. Crowler stated, Slackers first." Draco stated, "So go ahead and make your first move."
Zachary growled, glaring at Draco before drawing his card and looked ad his hand and smirked cockily. "I'll start by activating the Spell Card, Cost Down!" he announced, "I discard one card in my hand and then all of my monsters in my hand has their levels reduced by two."
He sent a card to the grave and chuckled out as he pulled another card from his hand, "And I play the Spell, Double Summon! This lets me summon twice this turn. I Summon my Summoned Skull to the field!" Zachary slammed his monster on to his duel disk, the hologram appeared, a fiendish creature seeming to have bones as armor as it protects his flesh underneath.

"Oh, but there's more! Thanks to Double Summon I summon a second Summon Skull to the field!" Zachary chuckled out, acting unstoppable as a second Summoned Skull appeared on the field, "Finally I use Monster Reborn to revive the Monster I sent to the Graveyard to activate Cost Down. Come out, my all-powerful Summoned Arch-Skull!"
Raising from the ground was even more fiendish, or for better words, demonic Summoned Skull, the bones as black as night, spikes sticking out form its shoulders, arms, and legs. Eyes glowing a sinister red as it lets out a soul chilling roar.

Draco looked unphased, as he just smirked and looked at the opponent with no hand now, "Are you done, yet?" He asked, "I want to show you it wasn't luck that beat Crowler as it will be the same with you!"
"Oh-ho the Slacker wants punishment, very well, my turn ends"
Draco drew his card and looked over his hand smirking as he started with a good hand, "Alright I'll start off by Summon Yolosyem, the Fire Dragon Guard in attack mode!"
Draco placed the card down as the hologram appeared the students saw a red scaled anthro dragon, wearing beige colored armor which consists of only a light helm, shoulder pardons, and wrist guards, while holding a sword that seemed to almost look like a wing however it was kneeling down as if defending itself.

"Just what kind of trick are you trying to pull!" An Obelisk student shouted out, "That's a Level 5 monster! You have to sacrifice to bring that thing out!"
"Hmm, seems like I won by way of you cheating, I knew it you have no skills." Zachary mocked.
"Oh really?" Draco asked getting both Zachary's and the other's attention, "If I did cheat then my duel disk would have registered the illegal move, I just made, and yet I have a monster out. Why is that?"
Some of the Ras and Slifers began to think, while the Obelisks continue to claim cheating, Syrus gasped softly as looked at the dragon then Draco, "Does it involve its Special Ability?" he asked, getting Draco to look back and smile at him, "That it does, Sy."
"I came to that conclusion the minute I saw it's level." Bastion stated, 'But I want to see how long it would take for someone else to figure it out."
Draco looked back at Zachary growling through his teeth in anger, "My Dragon Guard's ability allows me to Special Summon him if my opponent controls a Monster and I have no Monsters on the field. However, the draw back is he can't attack the turn he is Summoned. And now to continue my turn, I will now pay 500 of my Life Points to Special summon another Dragon Guard to the field!"
"What?! Another Special Summon?!"
"That's right, come out to the field, Sahlos, the Dragon Guard Seductress!" Playing his second monster a very beautiful female anthro dragon appeared, sitting seductively on her "throne" her outer scales a beautiful rose red, inner or underbelly scales a shining yellow as she wore gold jewelry. Some gold rings on the horns of her head, a golden crest piece on her chest, embedded with emeralds, arm bands with golden chains, arm guards, shin guards and rings on two of her fingers on each hand. While her sitting position caught the eyes of most of the boys, she had hers closed, not caring for the "unworthy"

Zachary lustfully or pretty much eye humped the Dragoness, not hiding what he plans on want to do.
"Oh, I think I know what I'll take from you so you'll remember your place, Scum." He said.
"I'm not done with my summoning yet, asshole!" Draco shouted our pulled a third card from his hand, "I now Special summon the last monster in my hand. Come on out and lead the Dragon Guards to victory, Kinbok, Captain of the Dragon Guard!"
Slamming the final monster on to the disk, a muscular anthro Dragon appeared on the field, wearing base blue color armor with silver trims, a leather strap around his chest heading and looping under the right Shoulder Pardon as the Left one was more craved it a metal skull of some unknown creature glowing light blue spikes on his arms, back of his neck and down his tail. Top of his head, back of his neck, the side of his mid-section, and his entire tail the darkness black one can think of, as the rest of his body was white scales, he also wield a large custom claymore the body being a black night as the edge shined silver with what seemed to be a lightning bolt shining from the hand guard and the hostel for the blade, glaring at the enemies before him.

"What the hell how did those other monsters get stronger?!" Zachary demanded
"That is one of the Abilities of the Captain." Draco began, "Not only can I Special Summon him if I control at least one 'Dragon Guard' Monster, he also gives the other Guards, 500 extra attack points. Like a Captain boosting his troops morale! I'll end my turn by laying these two cards face-down."
Two cards appeared behind the three Guards as Draco awaited his opponent's move, which he started by drawing his card, again smirking as he laid it face down.
"Time to teach you for messing with your betters, Slacker!" he yelled out, "Arch-Skull! Show that reptile who the real leader of this battle field is, Mega Lightning Strike!"
The larger fiend roared out as many lightning bolts shot from his spikes into the air before striking towards Kinbok, "I activate my Face-down Counter Trap, Negate Attack!" Draco called out, causing one card to flip up and a strange vortex appeared in front of his Captain, absorbing the lightning sending it to another dimension.
"No way!" Zachary gasped out, "There is no way a Slacker like you has such a powerful card!"
"Guess it's my turn again, since Negate Attack ended the battle and you have nothing in your hand to play." Draco bluntly stated. "Grrr, fine make your final turn Slacker!" he shouted back.
Draco drew his card and Yolosyem stood up taking a battle stance wielding his sword as Sahlos snapped her eyes open and stood up, taking a stance that was seductive but fierce, he then looked at it and gave a wicked smirk, "You should be familiar with this card." He said before turning the card he drew over, revealing it to be Dragon Guard Skill: Flaming Claw Strike!
"No! Not that card!"
Draco played the quick-play spell card and Sahlos' right claw burst into flames consuming her arm as she held it out, "Now Sahlos if you would so kind as to do us the honor?"
"With Pleasure." She responded, "Dragon Skill, Flaming Claw Strike!"
Swinging her arm she sent the flames flying engulfing the two Summoned Skulls as both creatures shirk in burning agony before vaporizing from their destruction, after which skeletal arms and hands emerged from under Summoned Arch-Skull and began to pulled it underground as it struggled roared out in vain before he ground consumed it.
"I knew about the drawback of Arch-Skull." Draco announced, "You must have a Fiend-type monster out on your field to keep him, and with those two Summoned Skulls powered up by him, your plan was to destroy my defenses one by one than go on an all-out attack during your next turn."
"How dare you say you are at my level in skills, Slacker!" Zachary spat out in pure rage, "Oh please, as if I would lower myself to your level." Draco retaliated, "Now let's end this!"
"My Lord."
Draco eyes looked at Sahlos as the Seductress looked back at him, "Please allow me the final strike. I heard what that pervert wanted to do with me when this was over, I wish to be the one to put him in his place."
"I have no problems with that." Draco replied as he then looked at Kinbok, "What say you, Captain."
"I'll allow it." He replied, "Sahlos, I approve your request. You my have the final strike."
"Thank you, Captain Kinbok."
"Yolosyem, Attack Zachary directly!" Draco command as the fire drake lunge forward his blade erupted with fire, "Dragon Fire Slash!"
Zachary yelled out as the flaming sword slashed from his shoulder to his hips as then grunted out and glared at Draco from the damage.

"Now it's your turn, Sahlos!" Draco yelled as the Dragoness respond with a huff and dashed out to their opponent.
"Hmm, sorry hot stuff." Zachary calmly said as he smiled, "I'll make it up to you after the duel when I take you from that scum, with this! Activate Trap Card, Mirror Force!"
A crystalize wall appeared between Zachary and Sahlos, he giving both a victory smug that also was perverted as well, "I'll give you pleasure you could never image."
"Oh man, it's over for Draco!" Syrus yelled out.
"You fell for it." Draco said, snapping Zachary out of his lust inducing trance as well as the attention of the other students, as his remaining backrow card flipped up, "Activate Counter Trap, Dragon Guard Skill: Quake Strike!"
"WHAT?!" all of the Obelisk Blue students shouted in disbelief, seeing the card with an armored dragon striking the ground as it erupted with lightning on the image.
"This card can only be used if I have a Level 6 or higher Dragon Guard. Kinbok, do it now!"
Kinbok raised his sword above him glaring at the trap in his troop's way, "Dragon Skill, Quake Strike!" he roared out, impaling the ground, causing it crack and break apart as lightning dashed from his blade towards the Mirror Force, shocking all over the wall before shattering it into a million useless shards.
"What is the meaning of this?!" Zachary demanded once more, "My trap card, negates any card you use to destroy my Dragon Guards, as well as sending all other copies of it to the grave." Draco replied, "Now Sahlos finish him!"
Zachary stumbled as the Dragoness stood in front of him, before she bitch-slapped him so hard, he twirled several times before face planting the floor. Groaning on the ground as he slowly raising his head showing a fresh imprint of her claw on his face.
Zachary LP: 1400-0
"With this, the battle is over." Draco announced, getting jeers from most of the Obelisk Blues, unbelievable mutters from the Ra Yellows, and cheers from his fellow Slifer Reds.
"He won!" Syrus shouted on top of his lungs, "Draco won a duel against an Obelisk Blue!" Draco smiled as he turned back facing Syrus raising his hand for a high-five.
"I don't accept these results!"
Draco looked back as Zachary sat up rubbing his face, "There is no way you can have those cards in your hand and in that order!"
"Just like how you had two Summoned Skulls, Double Summon, Cost Down, Summoned Arch-Skull, and Monster Reborn in your starting hand, followed by a Mirror Force?" Draco asked listing every card Zachary used, getting him to shut up for a second, "You just got lucky with a good hand and I was just lucky with getting a better hand."
Zachary growled out as he stood up, "Enough young man!" a crew member shouted, "As the referee of the duel it's obvious Draco is the winner of the duel, now stop trying to make any and all excuses of cheating, I saw no such illegal moves."
Zachary walked back, Draco hearing some of his "friends" giving him a hard time for losing, Draco walked back to Syrus finishing that high five that was interrupted, while they were watched by the three Dragon Guard holograms before vanishing with smiles on their faces. Draco and Syrus got something to eat and sat down, talking about what got them into Dueling in the first place, that somehow turned into Card Crushes as Syrus went on about the Dark Magician Girl.
"I would just to meet a real Dark Magician Girl." Syrus said sighing lovingly, "I would just tell her she is pretty and just amazing." Syrus looked at Draco as he just held his fork in his mouth frozen with shock, just blinking his eyes, "Oh, sorry about that." He said embarrassed, "I just get like that when I talk about my Card Crush."
"I guess anyone would." Draco replied, "If I ever see a real Dark Magician Girl, I'll tell her what you feel about her."
"You'll do that for me!?" Syrus asked hopefully leaning over the table, before he notices the grin on Draco's face, "Oh, you're joking about that."
Draco couldn't help laughing getting Syrus to join him, "I may have been half joking." Draco thought to himself, "So, what about you Draco? Do you have a Card Crush?" Syrus asked him, almost making him choke on his drink and cough loudly as the fizz went up his nose.
"Damn that hurt." Draco coughed out, "Sorry about that." Syrus said, "It's alright buddy. When I was younger I did, but I don't have one now."
"Who was it?" Syrus asked, "I'm just curious is all."
Draco had to think for a moment trying to remember his Card Crush, "I honestly don't remember, Syrus." He said after three minutes of thinking, "I guess I was so focus on my duel training and my grades I must have forgotten about my Card Crush."
"Well, I guess that can happen." Syrus replied.
They continue to talk for a while longer, even after they were done eating. Getting up to leave before Syrus had to rush to the bathroom, Draco waited for him looking out at the sea before a new figure approached him.
"I have to say that was a lucky duel on your part."
Draco looked over seeing a girl about 16, mid-to-long blonde hair, and wearing a white blazer with blue trims, a reversed Blue Dorm uniform.
"Well, most times it is all about luck of the draw." Draco replied, "I don't believe we met."
"We haven't." she replied, "I was at the Stadium when you dueled Dr. Crowler. I'm Alexis Rhodes, second year at Duel Academy."
"Well guess you know who I am, but I'll introduce myself again anyways, Draco Kaitos." He replied extending his hand, as she returned the gesture and shook hands.
"I did see your grade on the written exam and that duel performance, you are one of the few true Obelisk Blues." Alexis stated, "In all truth I think Dr. Crowler put you there to try and get even with you."
"I figured as much." Draco replied, "And I kind of figured that most of the Obelisk Blue students, got in that dorm through 'Donations' from their parents or they had connections."
"That is mostly correct, my friend group and myself are just a few who got to where we are through hard work." Alexis added, "That's what I'm planning on doing and in the process humiliated the Doc more when he watches more of his 'elite' students lose to a 'Slacker'." Draco stated.
Unknown to him Syrus was listing to the conformation Draco was having with Alexis, feeling betrayed, "He's already replacing me?"
"So, if you had the grades and skill, why did you stay in Slifer Red?" she asked, "I'm curious cause most of the Ras but all of the Obelisks will be giving you a hard time."
Syrus was about to walk off not wanting to hear anymore, "I chose to stay, cause my best friend needs help." He stops in his track before slowly peeking over the door frame looking at Draco.
"I have a best friend who can be a great duelist, but he needs help." Draco said, "I'm not going to leave him behind when he can be at the same level as anyone of these Obelisk shitheads. No offence."
"None taken, I know who you are talking about and I agree, most of them are shitheads." She agreed, "So, if I understand you correctly. You are staying in Slifer Red to help your friend and then you'll rise through the ranks?"
"Oh hell no." Draco replied, geta stunned look from Alexis and one form the unseen Syrus, "I'll rise through the ranks, and Syrus is going to be there with me all the way."
"Wait Syrus?" Alexis asked him, "Syrus Truesdale?"
"That's him." Draco replied, "He has what it takes to be a great duelist."
Alexis seemed unsure but didn't say or show it, she told Draco she'll seem him around the campus as she left after getting a text from her friends to hang out a little while longer before they docked in a few hours, Draco waved her off and walked to the bathroom and stopped seeing Syrus wiping his eyes.
"Something wrong, Sy?"
"N-no nothing." He slightly whimpered out, "Not anymore."
Draco didn't take that lightly as placed his arm around his little buddy and sat back down at a table again, "Syrus. I have a sixth sense about when people are not telling the truth."
Syrus looked at Draco for a about three minutes before sighing out, "You're not going to let this go, are you?" he asked, "Nope." He replied.
Syrus explained everything, down to how his brother told him coldly, he was not ready to be a duelist and will never be one, cause Draco to growl and snarl silently, "And that's about it." Syrus finished up.
"No brother should tell his younger sibling he will never be a duelist." Draco growled out, shocking Syrus as he leans back in his chair, Draco noticed this and calmed himself down, "Sorry about that. I guess I got my grandfather's anger."
"Does it happen a lot?"
"No, not really."
The two finished up and began to walk back to their rooms to rest for a bit before Syrus stopped at his door, "Hey Draco?"
"What's up?"
"Who was that girl you were talking to? The one I thought you were replacing me with?"
"Replace you? Sy, I wasn't replacing you." Draco told him, "She was just someone at the Stadium who saw my duel against Dr. Crowler and we just started to talk."
Syrus looked a little stupid hanging his head, "On man, I feel dumb."
"Well, it is possible to have more than one friend you know." Draco stated, "Who knows, maybe people would back off if we have an Obelisk Blue as a friend, hell we already have one in Ra Yellow."
He felt silly before saying he'll see him later, Draco waved him off and walked into his room and sighed as the door was closed.
"Some kid he is." A voice spoke deep and powerful, and yet honorable, Draco looked seeing Kinbok, leaning into the wall, "You sure he has what it takes to keep up with you?"
"Without a doubt." Draco told the Captain, "I wouldn't be surprised if he and I had to do a tag duel, showing his strength with the Dragon Guard backing him up."
"Putting us on the reserves, Young Lord?" Kinbok asked raising a brow, "You know what I mean And I think three cards could keep his monsters safe if that happens."
Draco laid on his bed and stretched a bit moaning out, "I'll leave you to yourself Lord Draco." Phasing through the door leaving the room before looking at the right seeing Sahlos standing there.
"So, what did the Young Lord say?" she asked her Captain, "He believes the boy will be a great duelist and ally." He replied as he walked to the Seductress.
"Do you think he'll be a good ally?"
"I do not doubt our Young Lord, so you shouldn't either." Kinbok told her, before they both lean closer and kissed each other deeply, getting a moan from the Seductress and a pleasurable growl for the Captain. Breaking the kiss Sahlos looked at Kinbok and smiled.
"I never doubt the Young Lord." She told him, "Nor you, my love."
"Never thought the Seductress would be the one to fall for someone." Kinbok joked, getting a slight slap on his snot, before the both chuckled softly and faded back to the Spirit world. Back to Draco laying on his bed and thinking to himself intensely.
"I'll be sure to teach that bastard Zane a lesson he'll never forget." He thought out loud, unaware on the other side of the ship in the Blue suites Zane slightly grin after watching the duel that took place on the ship.
"So, he can also special summon high level monsters with ease." He though out loud, "Looks like I finally got a real challenge."
