Characters
Riannon Stryfe – The only daughter of Lord Stryfe of Rainhall. At the beginning of our tale, she is nine years of age. She is known as a wild, curious, and fearless girl with a kind heart.
Idrys Stryfe – The lord of Rainhall in the Stormlands. He has been friends with King Viserys since boyhood. He is brother-in-law to Borros Baratheon, Lord Paramount of the Stormlands.
Orla Baratheon – The late wife and cousin of Idrys Stryfe. She is mother to their five children. She was described as a wild, tempestuous girl with a sharp tongue. She died giving birth to Riannon.
Edred Stryfe – The eldest son of Idrys Stryfe. Heir of Rainhall.
Arrec Stryfe – The second eldest son of Idrys Stryfe. Twin to Edred.
Rolan Stryfe – The middle child of Idrys Stryfe. Studious and proper, he desired to be a maester at one point.
Galahan Stryfe – The youngest son of Idrys Stryfe. He is taller than Rolan and most like their father in temperament.
Emrys Stryfe – Riannon's grandfather. He married his stepsister, Alaena, the daughter of Garan Baratheon.
Arwyn Stryfe – The mother of Emrys. She was a hostage of King Maegor during his reign of tyranny. The birth of her son was a scandal as she was not married when she was taken by the king. However it is said that she was married off during her time at King's Landing and her husband was murdered by Maegor.
Jeris – The son of Rainhall's castellan. He is training to become a knight. He often gets into scuffles with Riannon.
Timeline
44 AC – Arwyn Stryfe is taken hostage by Maegor I
45 AC – Arwyn Stryfe returns to Rainhall and gives birth to her son, Emrys.
49 AC –King Jaehaerys grants an audience in his solarwith any lordor knightwho wished a private word with their new king during the Golden Wedding of his mother, Alyssa Velaryon, and his Hand, Rogar Baratheon.
57 AC – Emrys Stryfe fosters at Kings Landing and becomes squire to Ser Gyles Morrigen, High Commander of the Kingsguard.
61 AC – Arwyn Stryfe marries Garon Baratheon and becomes stepmother to his daughter, Alaena.
- Emrys Stryfe comes of age and is made Lord of Rainhall.
75 AC – Orla Baratheon is born.
76 AC – Emrys Stryfe marries his stepsister
77 AC – Idrys Stryfe is born. Viserys I is born.
87 AC – Viserys I fosters at Rainhall, beginning a lifelong friendship with Idrys.
88 AC – Alicent Hightower is born.
92 AC – Daemon Targaryen is born.
94 AC – Idrys marries his cousin, Orla Baratheon.
95 AC – Edred and Arrec Stryfe are born.
97 AC Rhaenyra Targaryen is born.
101 AC – The Great Council. Viserys I is chosen as the heir to the Iron Throne.
102 AC – Rolan Stryfe is born.
103 AC – King Jaehaerys calls Viserys I to his deathbed and tells him the Song of Ice and Fire as his forebears shared with him.
106 AC – Galahan Stryfe is born.
107 AC – Aegon Targaryen is born.
109 AC – Helaena Targaryen is born.
110 AC – Aemond Targaryen is born.
114 AC – Rhaenyra Targaryen marries Laenor Velaryon.
- Jacerys Velaryon is born.
