Chapter Extra 1: Behind the Scene

A few days ago before the raid

Capital City

Shiki drank his tea before he was approached by Leone, taking her seat before greeting him, "Yo, Shiki-kun!"

"If it isn't...Leone, then what brings you here?" said Shiki, putting his tea on the table, "You got 10 minutes to talk before I leave."

"No worry! I'll make it fast! Tonight..." said Leone, moving closer as she whispered into his ear, "We are going to assassinate three people. I was wondering...if you could come with us to help us to get the job done."

"Let me guess...that little girl asked you?"

"Wait how did you know about that little girl?" said Leone, being surprised that Shiki somewhat knew Night Raid members were given information by a little girl.

"Then aren't we supposed to go for now? I'm waiting," said Shiki, standing up before stretching his arms as they both walked toward their designated location.

Later...

With every Night Raid member stood on the roof before they all discussed their plans. Shiki sat by his distance from members as he watched a huge mansion owned by Bach and his associates. Lubbock walks toward Shiki as he gives his debrief to him.

"Shiki, we made up for the plans. First, there are-" before Lubbock was interrupted by Shiki.

"There are more than 150 guards, including 50 are living in barracks next to the mansion. There are 3 targets that you are going to kill them all?" said Shiki, without looking at Lubbock as he continued to stare at the mansion.

"Wait what? How did you know that?" said Lubbock, surprised that he was able to analyze that whole building without getting information from Leone.

"Tell you what. I'm going in there, alone. The rest of you stay here while I get wet work done. I'll see you in an hour." said Shiki, taking his step as he fell over from the roof before Lubbock was about to stop him. The rest were all surprised as they noticed he was not on the ground anymore.

"What did you do?" said Mine, grabbing Lubbock's collar before he defended himself.

"It's not what you think! He told me, he is going to assassinate three targets alone because he told us to stay here."

"You're telling us to wait here so that he can get it done? It's suicide!" said Tatsumi, still shocked as Shiki decided to do a solo assassination against 3 targets.

They all heard the gunshot being fired as they feared that he would be dead soon. Leone is about to cancel the mission, but she is not going to. They decide to help him out before they get their job done.

"Dammit! We are going to help him out!" said Leone, her face becoming serious as she knew he wouldn't go alone. Normally, they will get it done easier once their mission is done. Now, her plans are being jeopardized by Shiki.

They all decide to go down to help him out before Leone gives an order to Akame, "Make sure no one escapes!"

Meanwhile...

The guards were unable to stop Shiki as he managed to get through before slicing and dicing every bodyguard. One of their guards decides to bring out his rifle and starts to shoot him. Shiki is able to dodge the bullets before running on the wall like a spider, turning upside down as he continues to run on the high ceiling which catches the guards off before he chops his shoulder off before bleeding to death.

He throws his knife at the bald man's neck before turning into dust as he continues to fight every bodyguard while parts of arms, legs, or heads are all thrown out in every direction. While the man lies on the floor and pretends to be dead. While his assailant manages to escape by using a trapdoor and hoping Satsujinki never notices.

Shiki already noticed that the man was still lying on the floor before picking up his trusty knife as he slices him without him even noticing. He found a trap door as he forcefully rips out before heading straight to follow him.

While Night Raid members arrive at the scene and they find every part of bodies were all over the place. Tatsumi is about to throw up but he manages to hold it as if they enter into hell.

Lubbock notices that the man is lying on the floor and he is about to kill him before poking him if he is dead or alive. Instead, the parts fell over before Lubbock was surprised before stumbling back, "Whoa! Shiki is serious! And how in the world did he manage to kill them all?"

They all saw the trap door was forcefully open before Tatsumi commented, "I guess, he missed it already. Besides...he has done it already like an hour ago?"

"I guess, you're right, Tatsumi. I bet Akame already killed Bach before Shiki," said Mine, making her bet Akame finished her job.

Akame came from the trap door before noticing all of her friends were there as she made her report, "Shiki...got him already. Bach is now dead, just like Zanku was."

"Dammit! Let's leave for now before the police get here!" said Lubbock, as they all left hurriedly before the police arrived.

After assassination

Jaeger members were all taking their break while Esdeath was having a conversation with her teams while Dr. Stylish and Bol went to attend their own business. The next thing they noticed Klein entered the room as he started to make his own coffee. Wave starts to greet him before she slaps Wave's head.

"Oh. You're all here. Back from your work?"

"Yes, Satsujinki got them first before Night Raid. Slices and dice with every bit," said Wave, still feeling, a bit disappointed they were unable to find Satsujinki.

"Slices and dice with every bit? That awfully sounds like Rainbow rank to me," said Klein, taking his sip from his coffee.

"What Rainbow rank? Is it like Teigu?" said Esdeath, becoming as confused as the rest of her team did which they did not know what it was.

"Oh right, I forgot you guys do not know what it is. So...I'll explain in basic. Back in Clock Tower, we define their Mystic Eyes as ranks because there are no more than 4 ranks, Rainbow, Jewel, Gold, and Red. They are more dangerous to us. Thanks to those incompetent, some records are now lost or destroyed. I only know some cases, for example, like, Mystic Eyes of Precognition that can see the future. And no, they are not like Teigu."

"Hold up...what you're saying, they are nothing like Teigu. Just as Mystic Eyes? And what are they?" said Wave, still surprised to learn what Mystic Eyes are.

"I remember, Mystic Eyes of Death Perception is only Rainbow rank because it is considered a threat against livings and non-livings. As for Jewel rank, I think I remember it elsewhere, but I think it's called, Mystic Eyes of Transience. It may let you see some kind of any future which you may able to pick it up. The rest is up to Jewel ranks. The Gold rank, I'm pretty sure, they are made out of charms or brainwashed. That's what I've heard of. Unfortunately, I was unable to confirm it. Lastly, Red rank, there are lots of lists because it is hard to catch up. I only know Dead Apostles may able to possess their Mystic Eyes."

"Wow. I'm surprised you sure know about Mystic Eyes. I do have one question! How does one acquire Mystic Eyes?" said Wave, his eyes widening as he was curious to know what were they.

Klein, starts to chuckle before responding, "You don't. There are lots of...consequences. If you want to get it, then go and join Clock Tower over there. However, it is not public."

"Great...I was wondering..." said Wave, feeling defeated that he was unable to get Mystic Eyes.

"And what is, Dead Apostles? Are they a kind of group?" said Esdeath, leaning on her side as she felt that she was more interested in hearing some kind of abilities than Teigu.

"Ah, not kind of group. They're basically...just vampires."

"Bringing up some made-up tales about vampires? I feel regret listening to you and I'm not interested in hearing about vampires or whatever," said Esdeath, taking her leave before Klein was able to stop her.

"I'm not finished yet. There are only two groups that you may never know about. However, they were kept hidden away from the public. No one else knows about them. Nor do you too. I only know about them and Satsujinki."

Once she stops before turning her head as she looks at Klein's eyes. She made sure his eyes never lied and he was telling the truth about Dead Apostles and Satsujinki. Should she believe him or not? She decides to bite it before taking her seat, asking him, "So...tell me, what do you know about...Satsujinki and vampires?"

"I only know about Satsujinki, but I don't know about his real name. I suspected he is a member of 7th Dead Apostle Ancestor ranks but there are only 27 Dead Apostles Ancestors. From what I know they were either sleeping or killed by Satsujinki. I don't know if he is a human or a vampire. There are only two kinds of vampires. Dead Apostles Ancestors and True Ancestors." said Klein, explaining what they are.

"First time I heard about Dead Apostles Ancestors and True Ancestors. I wonder if they exist in this history?" said Wave, still listening to him while Kurome was sleeping on the table while listening too.

"You don't find them in this history. They would prefer to keep it in the dark. I'll keep it in a simple way. They hate each other because they are not the same vampires. But, there's a huge difference between Dead Apostle Ancestors and True Ancestors. Dead Apostles are just kind of like undead which it come in with different variants. Let's just say...if you were Dead Apostles, then you may you may create hundreds of zombies to raise for. And True Ancestors, they are just pure vampires because they were originally born with it. The thing is they don't drink their blood but..." said Klein, cutting off his own words before Esdeath asked him.

"But what? Something happens to True Ancestors?"

"Yes. There was a person whose name was Roa. He tricked a True Ancestor into drinking his blood and ended up rampaging their own kind. She was the only last True Ancestor left. I don't know what her name is. Let's call her White Princess of True Ancestor because there's no record of her name. I don't know who erased the record away no more than 30 years ago."

"And what about Satsujinki?"

"As for Satsujinki, he is White Princess's bodyguard and most top first-world assassin. Last I know he assassinated Forest of Einnashe and took over his place which he became rank 7th of Dead Apostle Ancestor. That would be no more than 1,500 years ago. Right now he is the more feared by Dead Apostles Ancestors and clans. The rumor is they both resided in Millennium Castle Brunestud for a hundred thousand years. I suspect he does have Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, but it is still unconfirmed. According to what you wrote your report."

"Wait a minute...you're saying we are dealing with a hundred thousand-year-old assassin?" said Wave, his eyes widening as he thought they would deal against Satsujinki, instead of a hundred thousand-year-old assassin.

"He cannot be. He should have died years ago. More importantly, where is Millennium Castle Brunestud ?" said Esdeath, still feeling suspicious about Satsujinki's death.

"The problem is...no one else knows where. Only Satsujinki and Zelretch know where."

"What? What do you mean no one else knows where?"

"That's right. No one else knows where," said Klein, noticing his assistant, wearing her business suit, walking toward him, and whispering in his ear. He nods at her without a word and they plan to head back to his workplace.

"Oh right. A question for you, Esdeath."

"What is it?"

"Will you fight against Satsujinki with your Teigu?"

"...yes. My desire to fight someone else stronger than me. He won't easily beat me."

"You won't easily beat him with your Teigu. He is the most legendary assassin that you can't win against," said Klein, taking his leave, along with his assistant as they disappeared from her sight.

Esdeath looks at 27 Dead Apostle Ancestors on the list which he ranks as 7th. She knows she won't find their names in this record because they were kept in the dark. Kurome, had just woken up from her sleep when she asked Esdeath.

"So...Satsujinki might be a member of Dead Apostle Ancestor, isn't he? If he exists as Dead Apostle Ancestor, I would like to collect him."

"I doubt you might. If he fights us with his Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, we will have a chance to beat him with our numbers," said Esdeath, feeling confident with her teams. Unknown to them they are fighting against the wrong person with his deadly ability than Teigu.
