"Well," Calyrex said, hands on hips, once the fires had mostly been put out. "This was officially a complete bloody balls-up, wasn't it?"
"A little bit, sire," Glastrier agreed.
"A little bit doesn't really begin to cover it," Spectrier snorted. "Do you have any idea how much Fiery Wrath stings?"
"About as much as Thunderous Kick, I shouldn't wonder," Glastrier said, rubbing his left forehoof against his right one. "That's going to sting for quite a long time."
"What I want to know is why we had such an awful time of it in general," Spectrier complained, shaking her head. "Sire, what does your sight tell you?"
"I don't have the sight unless I ride you, Spectrier," Calyrex retorted. "You know that, surely?"
"Oh, just go ahead and take to the saddle," Glastrier recommended.
Calyrex checked with the more feminine of his two steeds for a moment, got her assent, then took his place.
"As one," they declared.
Then Calyrex sighed.
"Oh, fuss and buggeration," he declared. "That's what's the matter. The Chosen One wasn't in Galar, he's travelling around the world as a whole."
"Really?" Spectrier asked. "What's wrong with Galar?"
"The weather?" Glastrier suggested. "Famously terrible, after all."
"Good point, well made," Spectrier admitted.
She frowned. "By the way, sire, did we actually deal with that bloody Articuno as well?"
A Freezing Glare swept across them both, pinning them in place, and Glastrier muttered something too rude to record for posterity.
"You two are going to owe me so many carrots after this," he said. "All right, you tosser, come and have a go if you think you're cold enough!"
AN:
The Pokémon movie sequence has sort of stopped, recently, and there are several Legendaries who have never appeared in Pokémon Journeys. Combining the two, you get… this.
The place where there should have been a movie.
