It was getting late in the afternoon as Harry returned to his room.
This would be the last night he would safely stay here before having to return to Privet Drive so as not to raise any suspicion with Dumbledore.
The Dursleys would no doubt punish him for being away but it would be worth it. It was an interesting dynamic for him, being a small 10 year old boy with all his memories of what was to come and happen.
There was one more letter that Harry had a sudden urge of brilliance to write.
Whether or not it would accomplish anything, he did not know but he knew that bolstering the down trodden and outcasts in the magical world would definitely be to his benefit.
He sat and penned a letter to Xenophilius Lovegood.
Owner and editor of the Quibbler.
Seeing as how the Daily Prophet had not said anything about the emergency Wizengamot meeting to strip his titles, he surmised the ministry was keeping that fact quiet.
Well, time to change that.
Dear Mr. Lovegood,

I write to you out of great concern for the future of our magical society. There has been a sudden, urgent development within the Wizengamot, an emergency session scheduled for tomorrow, less than 24 hours after I claimed my inheritance of several ancient and powerful titles. I have chosen to remain anonymous, choosing to act through my proxy—Aurelia Black.

The speed at which this session has been called and the immediate attempt to strip these titles from their rightful owner should raise alarm bells for anyone who values justice and transparency. As someone dedicated to uncovering the truth, I believe you are uniquely positioned to shed light on this matter.

It is no secret that Dumbledore has long held significant influence over the Ministry and the Wizengamot, often using his power to shape events to his liking. This situation appears to be no different. The timing, the secrecy, and the haste all point to an agenda that might not align with the best interests of the wizarding world. The public deserves to know what is happening and to question whether Dumbledore's actions are truly for his supposed "greater good".

I understand the challenges that face smaller, independent publications like the Quibbler, especially when confronting such powerful figures. If you find that additional funds are required to print special editions or expand the reach of your paper during this critical time, I would be more than happy to offer my financial support as a benefactor. The truth must be brought to light, and I believe the Quibbler is the right platform to do so.

Please consider these concerns carefully, for the decisions made in the coming days may have lasting consequences for us all.

Sincerely,

Lord Wyllt

It was a calculated risk, but from what he recalled of Xenophilius the letter would definitely get his attention and while most dismissed the Quibbler as a paper that was full of conspiracy stories, it would do enough to get people talking and questioning Dumbledore.
He finished and sent the letter with the owl.
Deciding to go downstairs and eat while he either awaited a reply or a publication.

Xenophilius was sitting at his desk a little worried.
Readership and sales had been slowly declining causing his wife to have to go back to spell crafting.
A dangerous profession but one that helped the family survive while he tried to make sure people knew the truth and not some half-baked story that rag The Daily Prophet put out.
He had seen the article today though and admitted that the reporting, for a change actually seemed well thought out and sensible although still filled with speculation. But he understood the need for that. He did the same with his stories to try get readers intrigued.
As he was pondering bits of paper strewn all over his desk in an attempt to put the next edition together, and owl flew in and dropped a letter in his lap.
He picked it up and his heart began to race when he saw the seal.
Could it be?
He cautiously opened the letter and read it.
Then he read it again.
He was both excited and concerned but also felt extremely validated.
Whoever this new Lord was, was willing to fund the Quibbler in its pursuit of the truth which meant that a VERY powerful figure counted him as honest and truthful.
The fact that the letter cast serious dispersions on Dumbedore, someone who was an important and powerful political figure in the Wizengamot, meant that he had to do something.
Even though he held a seat on the Wizengamot and had received the urgent summons to the chamber meeting the following morning, there had been no explanation as to what was so urgent.
Now that he knew, his mind was running a mile a minute.
It also meant that he almost immediately knew how he would vote but it did depend on what Ms. Black would say on behalf of her Lord
Everything else on his desk was page 2 news now, he had his front page and could publish that evening to go out with the dinner circulations.
While he didn't need the money right now for this specific paper, financial support was not something he would dismiss and while Lord Wyllt seemed to want to remain anonymous at this point in time, he hoped to meet him face to face one day.
He sat down and started writing.
Revising and tweaking his article till it was just right.
As he was finishing up, his daughter Luna happened to come into his office.
"Did daddy manage to find a good story? Is it about vanishing Shnuckwumples or pesky trickertrokers?"
She came over and sat on his lap as he smiled at her.
Her long flowing blonde hair and her grey eyes always enchanting him. He knew she would make some wizard very happy one day.
"No my sweet little butterbeer, its about something much more interesting. Read it and tell me what you think."
He braided her hair as she sat there and read the article.
When she was finished, she turned a little to look at him with great curiosity.
"Does this mean Professor Dumbledore is not a good man daddy?"
"It would seem so my little moon bug. Doesn't mean he is bad, but maybe he is not as good as we thought he was but its something daddy needs to try find out more about. And look…" He said as he gave her the letter "….Looks like the new Lord believes in us and is willing to help us run the paper, isn't that remarkable?"
"That's really good daddy. I would love to give Lord Wyllt a hug for being such a nice man. I can see you are happy daddy and seeing my daddy happy makes me happy."
She hugged her father and then jumped off his lap and ran back outside to play.
He admired her attentive and thoughtful mind mixed with her innocence and aloofness.
So often one would think she was not paying attention or did not understand what was being discussed around her, and then would turn around and say something rather profound to show she fully understood what was happening around her, but then just as quickly, go off into her own games again. He knew that would change as she grew up and hoped that that didn't have to happen for a long long time.
He set his article out to print on his magical printing press with all the other titbits that no one would probably read and ran 20000 copies.
Double his normal run.
Either way he knew he could recoup the costs from his new benefactor, whose name he would not mention to others especially as they were the target of Dumbledore in this instance. The man had trusted him to run with the information, the least that he could do was keep his identity secret.
He then replied to the Owl and sent a copy of the publication along too.
The Quibbler Exclusive: Who Now Holds the Legendary Titles in the Wizengamot?

By Xenophilius Lovegood

In an unexpected twist that has sent ripples through the magical world, six ancient and powerful titles have been claimed within the Wizengamot, causing a stir amongst even the most stoic members of our community. The titles—Lord Potter, Lord Black, Lord Peverell, Lord Gryffindor, Lord Slytherin, and Lord Wyllt—represent not only significant historical lineages but also immense power and influence.

Even more curious is the urgency with which an emergency Wizengamot meeting has been called, set to take place less than 24 hours after the titles were claimed. This hasty gathering has been convened by none other than Albus Dumbledore, the venerable Chief Warlock himself. One has to wonder, why the rush?

Could it be that the consolidation of such potent titles threatens the delicate balance of power within the Wizengamot, a balance that some might say has long been under Dumbledore's careful stewardship? The titles of Lord Gryffindor and Lord Slytherin alone could suggest a unification of forces that might challenge the established order. The added weight of Lord Peverell, with its ties to the legendary Deathly Hallows, and the ancient prestige of Lord Wyllt, only deepens the potential impact.

The urgency of this meeting raises questions. Why is it so critical to resolve the issue before the true claimants have even been publicly identified? Could it be that Dumbledore, a figure who has long held sway over the wizarding world, is concerned about the implications of these titles falling into hands that might not align with his vision?

It is well known that Dumbledore has guided the Wizengamot through numerous crises, often with a steady hand. But could it be that this sudden emergence of power, in the form of these six titles, represents a challenge he is not prepared to face? And if so, what does that say about the true nature of power and influence in our world?

With Aurelia Black announced as the proxy for these titles, one must wonder—what does this mean for the future of the Wizengamot? And why is it so important for Dumbledore to act swiftly, before the dust has even settled?

Could it be that this is not merely about the titles themselves, but about who controls them? And if that control were to slip away, what might that mean for the balance of power in our world?

Rest assured, dear readers, The Quibbler will keep you informed as this situation unfolds. The question remains—who is the true mastermind behind this sudden rise to power, and what will it mean for the wizarding world? And most importantly, why is Dumbledore so keen to resolve this matter before the claimants even have a chance to make themselves known?

Only time will tell, but until then, keep your wands at the ready.

Harry smiled as he read the article.
Again, even though many might dismiss the Quibbler, the fact that this was the only way people would hear about the emergency meeting, he hoped it was enough to get people talking.
Harry went to bed, enjoying the comfort of the covers for the final time, knowing what he would return to until the goblins had arranged his room at Privet Drive. He knew he would have some fun it accelerating his access to that room now that he knew he was a wizard and with what he could do wandlessly, rather than have to wait a full year like he had before.
The next morning, knowing that he could not go to the Chamber where the meeting would be held, he decided he needed to go back to Gringotts.
He set up a monthly payment to go to Xenophilius of twenty thousand Galleons and also discovered that now he had claimed his titles, all the various investments and royalties owed to each house would once again begin to accrue and that would amount to a total of two hundred thousand Galleons a month across all his accounts…he would never run out of money.
Once that was done, he went back to the Leaky Cauldron to have lunch and await word from Aurelia as to the outcome of the meeting.

Wizengamot Chamber

As the various members were assembling and finding their seats, Dumbledore gazed across to the 6 newly activated and magically restored leather seats, each emblazoned with the crest of their respective houses.
When he saw Aurelia entering he glared at her over the flat topped rims of his glasses, noting the Black house ring upon her hand as she sat in the chair for the House of Black.
He noticed that many members of the Wizengamot were muttering and glancing across at her but none dared to approach which gave him a sense of hope that this would be a simple matter or restoring power to him and only him, the leader of the light, the wise and powerful Dumbledore.

Once everyone was assembled, Dumbledore called the meeting to order.
"Good morning to all the honoured members of the Wizengamot. Lords and most ancient and noble houses. I apologise for the suddenness of such an urgent meeting but our world and the matters of this chamber are under threat. Many of you will have seen the article in the Prophet yesterday and will note the 6 reactivated seats in this chamber. Someone has claimed their titles yet has not stepped forward to make themselves known. Such a shift in power cannot be allowed and as such, I raise a motion to strip this anonymous and Dark Lord of their seats immediately so that things may continue as they have been."
There were some nodding to his words but also many murmurs and hushed conversations amongst the members.

Aurelia was listening and taking in what was happening around her. Dumbledore had not even acknowledged her and before she could say anything, Lord Greengrass spoke up first.
"What makes you think that this new Lord is Dark Dumbledore? Those 6 titles are evenly split with 2 in each the light, dark and neutral factions. And clearly the Lord is known to someone, as we have Aurelia Black here as Proxy. Surely you would have been notified of this development?"
"I was but it should not happen. In fact, Ms. Black should be put on trial for deliberately hiding the identity of her Lord. No person should be allowed to hold such power and with titles of both Black and Slytherin, how could such a Lord NOT be dark?"
Those comments caused a VERY loud murmur to rise in the chamber and people were looking at Dumbledore questioningly.
Amelia Bones spoke up.
"You expect us to put a person on trial simply for being the proxy to their Lord in this Chamber. That is not a crime and I for one will not pursue such charges, you reach beyond your station, Albus, and I am yet to hear a valid reason as to why we should even consider stripping the titles. There is no law that has been broken and no law stipulated that a Lord MUST be known, especially if they have a proxy."
"Volemort was a Slytherin! Surely you must then know that any other Slytherin heir MUST be dark!"
Dumbledore exclaimed. Many in the chamber shuddering at the mention of the name.
"And Potter? The only known heir to that family title is young Harry and there is no way that he would even know about his Lordship, so whoever is claiming these titles must surely be an imposter.
Two dark titles, a claim to a light title that as far as we know only has one true heir and two almost mythical titles? This cannot be real and as such cannot be allowed to stand. The shift in power in this chamber will be immense and as such the greater good will suffer. Under my leadership, I refuse to allow this to happen. As such I move that we vote now to strip these titles from this hidden imposter and Dark Lord."
"What do you mean Harry would not know about his Lordship?" Olivander asked.
"Harry vanished the night He Who Must Not Be Named died yet you speak as though you know more than the rest of us. Pray tell Albus why you would make such a statement?"
"No. That is not the matter at hand and I refuse to discuss it while such an urgent matter is before us. Control of this chamber must be maintained, we cannot allow six new seats un unbalance things. All in favour of stripping the titles, light your want red. All those opposed, light white!"
Dumbledore was angry yet barely maintaining his composure as he raised his wand an allowed it to glow red, looking around urging others to cast their vote.
At this Aurelia stood up and spoke.
"I feel you are too hasty Dumbledore. You move to vote on a matter concerning my lord yet you have not acknowledged me nor allowed me to speak!"
"I refuse to acknowledge you. You Lord is an imposter and you hold no power in this chamber, again, I call on all to vote now!"
Desperation in his voice, almost pleading
Aurelia raised her left hand and allowed her two rings to become seen.
"I Aurelia Black of House Black, swear upon my life and my magic, that I am here to act on behalf of my Lord Black and my Lord Wyllt as proxy in all legal matters pertaining to said titles and all other titles claimed by my Lord, so mote it be."
"Lumos"
Her wand lit up after her vow causing all in the chamber to gasp as she made such a vow but more so when they saw the proxy rings of house Black and house Wyllt on her hand.
"It would seem Albus…" She stressed his name, almost taunting him, "…that my Lord is not seen as an imposter by Magic and as such I have a right to speak."
Before he could cut her off again, Lord Greengrass spoke once again.
"Please Ms. Black, you are recognised by magic and by your Lord, please tell us why we should allow someone with such power, that we do not know, to be allowed to have a say in the matters of our world."
She bowed in his direction with a smile.
"Thank you Lord Greengrass. My Lord uses me as a proxy for the very reason you said. None of you would know him and he fears that if you did, many would try and manipulate and control him. Yes, the titles he holds are Ancient and Noble yet as already been said, fall evenly across all factions.
Potter and Gryffindor in the Light, Wyllt and Peverell in the Neutral, Slytherin and Black in the Dark. My Lord would dare not make sweeping motions or decisions that would tarnish the name or reputation of any of their titles. He is fully aware of how such bold moves could delay any real progress in our world and upset the balance of things.
While this is not the time and place to discuss the matter, when I met with my Lord, we discussed his hopes and plans for what he might accomplish in this chamber, so I will mention the first thing that came to his mind, and that would be the harmony between our various countries and schools. He suggested a magical school exchange program where schools would allow select students to study at another magical school for a year. Thus, allowing students to learn different cultures, laws and harvest friendships that would have long term benefits not just to themselves but to their different countries and cultures.
The dangers of being insular is that we forget many things. Our knowledge gets watered down. There is magic out there that has been lost to time and my Lord hopes that his initiative, should it be implemented after discussion at a more appropriate time, would increase everyone's knowledge of our world and the world around us.
Second to that. We all know that because magic clearly recognises there is an heir to all 6 titles, stripping those titles would not deactivate the seats, so who them, Chief Warlock, would you designate as proxy to those seats were your motion successful?"
Dumbledore looked almost incredulous at her.
"Are you daft woman, naturally until I could safely appoint proxies to each individual seat, I would retain their voting power and rights."
"Oh, so not only could you take your time in appointing proxies and have those votes in your favour, you can appoint those to be proxy that would kowtow to your whims anyway and as such have not really given anything up?"
She then addressed the chamber rather than Dumbledore directly.
"It is clear that our Chief Warlock is making a power grab. He wants this new power to himself and as such, should definitely NOT be allowed to control the seats.
Furthermore, there is no evidence of a crime by my Lord, no evidence of being a traitor or of corruption and I can promise you my Lord will not willingly give up his titles."
She sat down and allowed the chaos to commence. She could see many people agreed with such a notion and she knew why. The dark families would do anything to expand their repertoire of knowledge and hopefully gain control in some manner, over other families.
The Neutral faction was always happy to go along with anything that allowed them to grow their social circles and influence and if they could control the shared knowledge, would be much happier.
The light faction loved the idea although she knew some stalwart Dumbledore supporters would vote in unison with him.
Eventually Fudge stood up.
"Seeing as this is clearly a matter that puts our Chief Warlock against the houses of Potter, Slytherin, Gryffindor, Peverell, Black and Wyllt, I feel that further discussion would be merited for a later time. Right now, we have a simple vote, to strip or not to strip the titles. A 51% vote will be sufficient to pass the motion."
"Minister…" Aurelia interrupted, "…I would like to add to the consideration that should we get a majority vote either way, the matter will be finalised. Should Albus lose, the matter is never raised again and if my Lord loses, we will not challenge the decision."
"Yes, so be it!" Dumbledore almost shouted, clearly expectant of such a vote in his favour.
Fudge looked sideways at Dumbledore and shook his head.
"Very well then, those in favour of stripping titles and giving their voting power to Albus Dumbledore, Chief Warlock, Light your wands Red.
The wands of Dumbledore, Malfoy, Yaxley, Avery, Mulciber, Travers, Nott, Bulstrode, Flint, Rookwood, Rowle, Thicknesse, Umbridge, Rosier and Lestrange lit up red.
Both Dumbledore and Aurelia were nervous. That was 15 votes which clearly meant the titles would not be stripped. This made Dumbledore angry but Aurelia knew that she needed 38 White wands to totally defeat the notion.
"15 in Favour."
Exclaimed Fudge.
"Those against"
Aurelia looked around and counted as fast as she could. The only wands not going up were that of Olivander, Volkov and Delacour.
Everyone else voted against. She had her 38 votes to carry the Majority vote of 67%. She let out a heavy sigh of relief and smiled as she looked at Dumbledore who was barely hiding his rage.
"The motion is defeated by a majority vote and the matter will never be spoken of again in this chamber. The titles of Potter, Gryffindor, Slytherin, Peverell, Black and Wyllt will remain with their rightful Lord. Thank you all for coming, this meeting is dismissed."
Fudge then sat down and watched as people left or sat speaking about what had just happened and what had just been said
Aurelia had taken note of those who had voted against while smiling to herself. She had done well and was happy. She was grateful for the opportunity that Harry had given her and felt that he and her would have a great impact on Magical Brittian going forward.
She saw Xenophilius approaching her and stood to greet him.
"Ms. Black. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I must say, this whole debacle was very surprising, and I am even more shocked at some of what Dumbledore let slip today. Perhaps he isn't the man we all thought him to be. I know my readers will find this all VERY enlightening and thanks to your Lord as my new benefactor, we will be able to challenge the Prophet in circulation numbers soon."
She nodded to him. Not aware Harry had offered financial support but knew it had to be true. She knew Xenophilius was a man of truth and his word. Even though some articles were more fanciful and conspiratorial than others, she had found over the years that he was much more honest and truthful in his writing than the Prophet ever was.
"Thank you Xeno. I will make sure that my Lord is aware of your gratitude, and no, before you ask, I am unable to share his identity with you."
"I thought as much but its okay, I need to get home and write a follow up article for my readers. I bid you a good day and I look forward to many more interesting discussion in this chamber."
With that he left and Aurelia spoke with a few more witches and wizards who came to introduce themselves formally and brought items to her attention the wanted raised with her Lord. She filed all those away for a later time but was happy that she was being accepted and approached to further take part in the Wizengamot actively and not being shunned or spurned.
Once she finally managed to get away it was just after lunch time so she decided to head home and write Harry before carrying on with her day.
My Lord Wyllt
I hope that I have written to you faster than the papers can publish and circulate, so if you do not already know, we defeated Dumbledores motion with a Majority vote today and the issue of stripping your titles can never be raised again in the Wizengamot.
Many Dark houses sided with Dumbledore which was surprising and only 3 abstained but they were all neutral faction members so no real surprise there.
Your idea of mutual learning across countries and sharing of knowledge really seemed to go across well and I feel that that is definitely something we can work on and try implement to solidify your stance as one who has the better interest of all factions at heart.
That said, do not be surprised if the darker houses do not try and dig to determine who you are.
I think it would be beneficial for us to meet again soon so that we can strategise some more on a way forward.
Your proxy
Ms. Aurelia Black
Harry read the letter and smiled. She had indeed beaten the papers to print with the news and now knowing his titles were safe, it would be best to return to his "normal" life so as to still fly under the radar.
He penned his response.
Ms. Aurelia Black
Thank you for your efforts today. While I was confident that we would succeed, I was not confident of fully defeating the motion.
This is a great relief and I must commend you on a sterling job.
If there were any way that I could repay you, or anything that you wish from me, you only need to ask.
However, there is a caveat to that. I need to return to where Dumbledore put me with family to ensure that he does not become suspicious if any of his monitoring wards go off.
I know he is watching little old me and thinks I am completely innocent and ignorant….he is in for a surprise one day.
I will attempt to visit you at some stage. The goblins will be renovating my room so that I have all the amenities and furnishings I should have and that will make communication much easier.
In the interim I have something to propose to you. I mentioned my need to build a coven. Please think on that aspect. I have a few witches in mind and I will pursue them in time however I will need your guidance as I know nothing about women and how to ensure their satisfaction and enjoyment. I apologise for my forwardness but I need to learn about these things somehow.
Until we talk again.
Your Lord
Lord Wyllt
He felt bad about that last little bit but he had thought about it.
The only romantic interactions he ever had with girls was kissing Cho Chang and Ginny Weasley.
That's as far as he had ever gotten.
He was a 600 year old Virgin and now he had to build a coven…why had fate not taught or helped him he wondered.
Those were perhaps thoughts for a later time or for when Aurelia decided to reply to that part of his letter.
Right now, it was time to get back to normal. Or as normal as things could be based on what he now knew.
He again disillusioned himself and walked out of the Cauldron into the Muggle part of London.
Moving stealthily and quickly, aided by his magic he quickly found a quiet alleyway out of sight of any main roads and passersby, just in case.
Thankfully the trace only worked on wands and while underage magic was almost always predominantly picked up in muggle areas, if what he was about to do triggered anything at the ministry, he wouldn't be here to be found.
Keeping the disillusionment charm active, he flew!
It was only slightly different doing so here as opposed to in the Aether with Merlin but it only took him about 40 minutes to fly discreetly from London back to Privet Drive.
He made sure that the local park was empty before setting down and with it being the middle of the week on a school day, no one else was around.
He knew Petunia would be home…oh boy would she freak about him having been away and suddenly appearing again.
A thought came to him and he smiled at himself.
He went into the bushes nearby and dispelled his charm, looked around for a plain, ordinary stick that could be confused for a wand by only a simpleton, but it would suffice for his plan.
He walked back to Privet Drive and was surprised to see Vernons car parked outside.
Clearly he had not gone to work.
No matter. Harry walked up to the front door and without even knocking, he lived here after all, went inside and as soon as Vernon and Petunia saw him, all hell broke loose.
