Hi, sorry for the wait, I caught COVID and hadn't been feeling it.
Here's a little slice of life :)
Hari watches in amusement as they walk along the streets, civilians buzzing about ignorant of the dangers that lurk just beyond their sights. He lets himself enjoy the sound of vendors calling out to passersby to the bright, colorful signs advertising their organic products and crafts.
Yuji leads the way with boundless enthusiasm, waving his arms around like a tour guide. "Alright, Hari!"
Yuji turns to him with a cheery grin leaning in so close their noses are almost touching, "First stop, food!"
Yuji pulls back abruptly with a look of embarrassment, muttering something about Sukuna, before exclaiming with his usual cheer, "You have to try mitarashi dango, it'll blow your mind!"
Hari flushed at the proximity and the heat that radiated off of Yuji, he gave Nobara a weak glare when she snickered into her hand, a little overwhelmed he nodded staying silent.
"Awesome, come on!" Then he proceeds to grab Hari by the hand and pull him, out of instinct he reaches back and clasps onto Megumi's hand and that causes a chain reaction to him grabbing a hold of Nobara. They end up looking at a preschool lineup.
Once they reach the bustling food market filled, he is assaulted with various mouth-watering aromas, from grilled meat to sweet buns, and spicy sauces.
Nobara pulled her hand back obnoxiously wiping it across her jacket, before beelining straight to a takoyaki stand, before Yuji could even think of stopping her she snatched Hair from him, "You have to try this," she declared, Hari gave Megumi a helpless look, to which his fellow black haired companion simply smirks at him. Hari knew there was a sense of humor hidden under all that brood.
He rubs his wrist as she lets it go as they reach the vendor, such a bossy girl. She then proceeds to toss some yen at the poor guy who sputters. He can't only watch in morbid curiosity as the man takes her order while shaking in his boots.
Hari only looks back when Nobara turns to him holding out a tray of the steaming hot octopus balls.
"You can't visit Japan and not eat takoyaki." Hari gingerly takes one, blowing on it to cool it down before tentatively popping it into his mouth.
His eyes widened immediately. "Bloody hell, this is brilliant!"
Nobara looks smug, he can hear Yuji giggling like an idiot at his reaction. Megumi, who had come back having snagged a skewer of yakitori, simply nodded in silent approval. He has to shift as Yuji hooks his arm over his shoulder leaning forward and much to Hari's horror, proceeds to take a big ass bite off of the stick he is holding.
"Told you." Yuji mutters, munching his words, and looking too smug for his good, "Street food is a must."
"I- you know what, never mind." Hari shakes his head and purposely holds his food away from wayward chomping.
Why doesn't the fool just get his own?
Megumi is the one who suggests They continue their culinary adventure, sampling various things.
His personal favorite was taiyaki, the crispy fish-shaped cakes filled with sweet red bean paste that tasted amazing. Plus the skewers of grilled meat and veggies are always a good go-to. Then he was introduced to onigiri, rice balls wrapped in seaweed, and slurped down a bowl of ramen, each bite met with his satisfied hums of approval.
Afterward, with full stomachs and happy hearts, Yuji drags them to an arcade nearby. Its bright neon lights reflected off the glossy floors, as they got closer he could hear the cacophony of beeps, cheers, and music filling the air.
Nobara was instantly drawn to the claw machines, muttering, "I'm getting that fucking bear," while Yuji and Megumi challenged each other to a round of shooting games. Hari finds himself standing in front of a rhythm game. The flashing lights and upbeat music were too inviting to ignore.
Nobara, after failing miserably at the claw machine, sidled up beside him. "You think you can handle this?"
Hari turns to her and gives a wry grin. "What's the bet?"
Nobara says her stakes and within moments, the two of them are on the double platform stomping to the beat, trying to keep up with the chaotic stream of notes flying across the screen. To everyone's surprise, Hari's reflexes were incredible, and he quickly got the hang of the game, earning himself a perfect score.
Nobara blinked in disbelief. "What the hell, beginner's luck!"
Hari merely laughs, "Sure, whatever helps you sleep at night."
Yuji, overhearing the commotion, wandered over with Megumi. "You beat Nobara? Sweet, bro!
Yuji tilts his head and grins, and it shouldn't make Hari's heart flutter as much as it does, "But can you beat me at this?" he asks, pointing at a nearby machine.
Hari shrugged, mentally willing his emotions to shut the fuck up, keeping a straight face, he's always up for a challenge. "Bring it on."
After an intense round of virtual shooting, with Yuji barely managing to edge out a win, they regrouped, all of them glowing with excitement and playful banter.
Nobara glanced at her watch and huffed, "Alright, boys, fun's over. Time to hit the shops."
Yuji looks confused. "Wait, when did we agree to this?"
Nobara's eyes gleamed mischievously. "What?"
"You thought I was done with just food and games? Shopping is an essential part of the experience."
"How did we end up as her mules?" Yuji whined, glancing at the towering pile of shopping bags in his arms.
He turned his eyes to Hari, who, despite carrying his share, was grinning like the cat that got the cream. "And why aren't you struggling?"
Hari's grin widened into a mischievous Cheshire smile, "Magic," he said simply, wiggling his fingers in a playful gesture. Megumi, walking beside them, stifled a chuckle, shaking his head at Yuji's incredulity.
Nobara, however, scoffed from ahead, looking over her shoulder with a sharp gaze. "Dumbass, you watched him bring fire to life not even two hours ago. This is what surprises you?"
"Shut up!" Yuji yowled, only to grunt when Nobara tossed another box onto his already overburdened load.
"I can't see!" he wailed, staggering as the mountain of boxes blocked his view entirely.
"Hari!" he whined pitifully, looking like a lost puppy beneath his tower of burdens.
Megumi, holding only a few bags himself, smirked at Yuji's plight. He really shouldn't boast his supernatural strength so much, especially around someone like Nobara, who never missed a chance to exploit it.
Hari almost giggled at the sight of Yuji's struggle but eventually relented. He steps closer, tapping the topmost box lightly with his finger while muttering something. Immediately, the tension in Yuji's arms melted away, the strain of the weight lifting as though the bags were suddenly light as air. Even better, the stack shifted just enough for Yuji to see past them.
"Woah, so cool!"
"Thanks, man!" Yuji shoots Hari a beaming smile, relief all over his face.
Hari waved him off trying to play it off, though Nobara could see his ears were red, "It's no problem, mate."
Just as they were about to move on, a voice cut through the crowd, directed toward them. "Hey, you!" They as a group turn, expecting to see some annoyed vendor, but instead, a sharply dressed man in sunglasses was making a beeline straight for them.
Specifically, Nobara, who was already smirking, and fluffing up her hair, assuming the guy had been dazzled by her.
"I knew it," she muttered under her breath. "Finally, someone appreciates real beauty."
The man stops just in front of them, eyes wide with what looks like excitement as he stares with sparkles in his eyes. "You've got such an exotic look."
"Perfect for what we're searching for!"
Nobara's grin widened. "Well, obviously. Go ahead, tell me more." Only the man gives her a weirded-out look and locks onto Hari, and much to Nobara's indignation he holds out a business card.
"We're looking for models, and you're exactly what we need," he said, completely ignoring the audacious look on Nobara's face.
"Excuse me?" she snapped, completely blindsided.
Hari, blinking in surprise, stared at the card. "Um… me?"
"Yes, you," the scout insisted, ignoring Nobara who started huffing like a bull, only held back by Yuji, who keeps her from beating the asshole as he looks towards Hari with reverence, "You've got a look that stands out, would you be interested in a gig?"
"Hey! You blind fuck, I'm right her-"Her mouth is covered by Yuji and she withholds the urge to bite his hand, not trusting where those dirty teenage hands have touched.
"I-uh thanks, but I'm good," Hari says and tries to sidestep the guy. The man insists still and dares to grab Hari's arm. Nobara is still squirming under Yuji's grip so they aren't much help at the moment.
Megumi mutters under his breath at the ridiculousness of the whole situation as he steps up to the creep and only stops when his front almost touches Hari's back, he's tall enough to peer over Hari with no issue, and he simply stares, with his hands tucked into his pockets. It takes a minute for the man to notice his presence and he goes to open his mouth, only to flinch as he is greeted by the dark look in Megumi's eyes.
It had been funny until Hari started to genuinely look uncomfortable, "he's not interested." Megumi says gruffly. He resists the urge to look down seeing Harry peering up at him in his peripheral vision. The man stammers out a swift reply, and quickly stuffs his card into Hari's hand then hightailed away, as if a hound was on his heel.
He looks down at Hari as he gives him a "Thanks,"
Megumi simply shrugs, looking to the side "You looked uncomfortable."
"Get a room!" Nobara catcalls.
"Eh? Why would they need a room?" Yuji asks innocently confused, the poor guy is oblivious to the emotions of love, even if it hits him with a brick.
"Besides, he already has mine!" Yuji declares in a superhero stance.
Nobara smacks her forehead with a groan, "I'm surrounded by idiots."
A/n:
I'm trying to incorporate the seeds to romance, idk where I'll go, I've always loved the ambiguous Harem's like Tsuna fics (reborn fic readers anyone?)
Megumi unintentionally channeling his father with that scowl.
Not necessarily a spoiler but I'll call it one for those who like to go in completely blind, ignore the last part
If you know the lore between thanos and Death (in the marvel comics), then you'll understand the dynamic I'm thinking of going, with Sukuna and Hari.
Simpkuna anyone?
