Volume 3, Chapter 11:
Judoon: TO SHO FRO SO ZO TO!
The Doctor: Team RWBY...just place your weapons down to show that we aren't a threat. Do it.
The four girls nodded and slowly placed their weapons down on the ground as they held their hands up in surrender. The Judoon looked at the five before putting its weapon away to the relief of everyone as the bulky creature approached them. It placed its hands on its helmet to remove it and reveal a rhino like alien to the surprise of Team RWBY.
Ruby and Yang: RHINO! RHINO!
The Judoon pulled out a red device and stood in front of the Doctor and began to scan him as the Doctor knew what it was trying to do.
The Doctor: Fellow Judoon officer, welcome to Remnant.
The Judoon got the voice scan of the Doctor then passed it onto its armor as the translation forms from Judoon language to English.
Judoon: Language assimilated. Designation Earth English. You will be catalogued. *Scans the Doctor* Category, ALIEN! *Pulls out gun* State your species!
The Doctor: I bring no harm to you or any of these people on this planet. I'm a Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey on the constellation of Kasterborous.
Judoon:*snarls* Very well.
The Judoon changed its identification scanner into a marker to mark the Doctor as non-threat. It went on to do the same with Team RWBY scanning each of them as humans with Blake being identified as Faunus Human. Ruby and Yang were still mesmerized by the fact that there's a giant rhino alien in front of them.
Judoon: Catalouge complete! Four Humans! One Time Lord! No threats!
The Doctor: Now it's my turn. State your name, position, and reason why you have crashed onto this planet.
Judoon: I am Judoon Kon-Plo, Captain of Judoon Fleet 157, we lost control and crashed onto this planet as a fugitive escaped our prison ship.
Weiss: Is that who you were fighting against moments ago?
Judoon Kon-Plo: Correct. I blasted his weapon and was going to execute him until he used a log to knock me down and escape.
Blake: Which means he could be heading down to Mantle.
Yang: Shouldn't be that hard though, an alien in public eye.
Judoon Kon-Plo: The fugitive is a shapeshifter from the race known as the Serptuix. A simple blood drip from its victim can help the Serptuix shapeshift into the person.
Yang: *sighs* Me and my big mouth.
Weiss: Another question, how exactly did you get here?
Judoon Kon-Plo: We were returning to our planet to turn in all the fugitives we have captured until a bright light appeared in front of us and we lost control. When I woke up, the ship was still intact, but the fugitive escaped. However, I tried to execute him, but my blast hit the controls as we crashed here on Earth.
Ruby: E-Earth? Like the Justice League's world?!
Weiss: Doctor, you said there was a chance many aliens and other creatures could have gone through the crack of the universe, past, present, or future. I think this Judoon ship went through and that's how they ended up here.
The Doctor: Right on cue Weiss. Captain Kon-Plo, you are not on Earth and you are not in the same universe we were a part of. What transpired is your ship went through a crack that opened between both our universe and this universe. You're in a different universe and this is Remnant.
Judoon Kon-Plo: Impossible!
The Doctor: There's no way to return to our universe sadly for the crack has been sealed. Your planet and the members of the Shadow Proclamation will recognize you as deceased.
The Judoon took this information in to process as heavy info while looking around the atmosphere of Remnant. The Doctor understood this feeling very well and knew that it would be the same fate for any aliens that had arrived in this universe and no way back.
Judoon Kon-Plo: Very well. We will find the fugitive! *Reports to the ship*
Ruby: Planning time. Do we split up or do we all go by the TARDIS?
Blake: We'll need to split, I know history hasn't been kind to us in terms of splitting up, but I think with the Judoon by our side, it could even our chances. We split into two groups, by ground and by air.
The Doctor: Kon-Plo will most likely go to search by foot. I can take the TARDIS to fly around at slow pace to scan the area from above. Question is who's going with Blake and who's staying with me?
Weiss: I'll join you, Doctor. You're gonna need extra aerial support *activates my wings*
Yang: I'll go with Blake and the Judoon. In case there's gonna be a brawl, I'm all for one.
Ruby: I'll go with Weiss and the Doctor. We'll even things up with three on foot and three on air.
The gang spoke too soon once Kon-Plo approached them with two more Judoon troops. Their sizes were a bit intimidating for the gang, but this would help as an advantage.
Judoon Kon-Plo: Two officers will accompany us while the rest will continue to repair our ship and check for any other escaped prisoners.
The Doctor: One is enough already. Blake and Yang will join you by foot while the rest of us will search for the prisoner by air on my TARDIS.
Judoon Kon-Plo: Very well. Let's move.
Yang: See you guys in a bit! *Salutes with two fingers*
The two groups split up without any of them knowing that they were being watched in the bushes by an unknown creature as it made its move following Blake, Yang, and the Judoons. From above in the air, Weiss flew through the woods with the TARDIS following as Ruby and Dalek Khan were the owls on watch.
Weiss: Doctor, what more can you tell use about these Judoons?
The Doctor: The Judoon are like police. Well, police for hire. They're more like a mercenary task force.
Ruby: Soooo like the Ace-Ops if they weren't apart of Ironwood or any other Kingdom's command?
The Doctor: Bingo!
Dalek Khan: Or like the Skaro Task Force.
Weiss: So they can also go for aliens that aren't bad but have violated something or broken a rule in a way.
The Doctor: Yep, that's why Kon-Plo reacted that way when he detected me as alien. But...the universe knew very well about the Time Lords and the Time War. Anyone who would recognize me as a time lord would be shocked because they all think we are extinct. And as of now, it's only me, the Original Doctor, the Master, and Cinder Fall.
Weiss: Wait! Can't you report both the Master and Cinder to the Judoon? It would be a big help for all of us!
The Doctor: It's much easier said than done. It's not like ordinary police when you report a crime.
Ruby: And what about this Shadow Proclamation thingy?
Dalek Khan: The ultimate law enforcement organization of the universe. While Judoons are more of a task force, they still operate as law responsibilities would be to uphold the Galactic Law, the biggest law in our universe with many planets part of it for protection and unity.
The Doctor: Think of it as if the Kingdoms of Remnant had one BIG task force and also had a rule that each kingdom would assist in helping other kingdoms while living in their respective parts of Remnant. *Gets an idea* Now that I think about it...this might be what'll help Willow restart UNIT.
Ruby and Weiss: UNIT?
The Doctor was about to respond until a beeping noise came from the TARDIS control as the screen panel in front of the Doctor reveals that the Serptuix has been found and is on the run with Blake and Yang running after it.
The Doctor: Time for a full stop on the ground! Weiss!
Weiss: On it! *Flies down*
Running through the woods, Blake and Yang continued to chase the shape-shifting creature. Blake watches closely on the creature running then pulls out Gambol Shroud and latches the ropes onto the Serptuix legs, bringing it down. It didn't last long as the Serptuix stretched out like taffy to slithered its legs out and continue its run.
Yang: They didn't say anything that it was an elastic alien!
Blake: Well, if can't stop it running, we'll have to do it by force!
Yang: WAIT BLAKE!
Blake jumps through branches of the trees until she's on top of the Serptuix like a predator then jumps on it sending both of them down the hill to Yang's concern and frustration.
Yang: BLAKE!
Yang runs more down towards the steep hill with the concern that both of them have fallen in the water or worse, Serptuix got a blood sample of Blake and shape shifted into her. She looks down towards the river with no sign of them. However, Blake isn't down there at all as she hangs from one of the trees using Gambol Shroud.
Blake: Yang!
Yang: Blake! *Looks up and sighs in relief*
Blake lets go and lands properly as the Judoons and the rest of the TARDIS team arrive. Yang was about to approach her until the Doctor stopped her causing suspicion from everyone against Blake.
Blake: Guys?...
The Doctor: Kon-Plo, scan Blake and see if it's actually her or the Serptuix
Judoon Kon-Plo: *scans her* Catalogue: Faunus Human.
Yang: *sighs and hugs her* You sure know how to give a girl a heart attack.
Blake: *hugs back* I'm fine Yang. Scary but fine.
Judoon Kon-Plo: What about the fugitive?
Blake: *looks at the river* It held on to me by my leg but once it saw Yang, it fell into the river.
Ruby: Chances are it survived.
Weiss: And to make matters worse, that river leads to the city of Mantle.
The Doctor: Then we have to head to the city as soon as possible.
Judoon Kon-Plo: We will continue the search by foot!
The Doctor: And cause a major scene in the city, I don't think so. Look Captain, the people of Remnant are still in a bit of a scare because the Daleks just invaded Argus. Fortunately, we were able to stop it thanks to a certain rogue Dalek, but the point is, come with us inside the TARDIS or we go to the city and you can continue your search here in the woods.
Judoon Kon-Plo: Hmm very well. We will stay in the woods and go by the river to search for the fugitive.
Ruby: And we'll go to Mantle.
The Doctor: If we spot it or see something unusual, I'll contact you.
The captain nods as the two groups go their own ways as Blake looked down towards the river before hopping into the TARDIS with the others as it disappears and off to the city.
Yang: You sure you're okay?
Blake: Yeah, just a bit shaken up of how close I was to falling that's all.
Weiss: That creature is lucky to be alien, no one would be able to survive that fall.
Blake: It did...at least from what Yang and I saw, it can stretch its limbs out.
Yang: Freaky, annoying, and sadly clever.
Ruby: Okay, what's the plan now Doctor?
The Doctor: One thing is for sure, none of us can be alone! The Serptuix can take any form of anyone and maintain low cover. We'll need to be in pairs which is why you four will split up in two. Ruby and Weiss, Blake and Yang.
Weiss: I assume that if the Serptuix were to get me, it wouldn't withstand long considering my powers right?
The Doctor: The Serptuix CAN actually absorb your powers and use it as its own. Having your body will make your powers still act normal.
Weiss: Juuuust great.
Blake: What if I go with Weiss? I'm the only one so far who dealt with the Serptuix and if it senses Weiss's powers it'll try to go for her but it won't like seeing me.
The Doctor: I believe the four of you can handle it yourselves very well. But you need to take it easy a bit considering you were in a near death situation. Not to mention, it ruins the fun of the codenames I have for you four.
Ruby and Yang: CODENAMES!
Weiss: Oh dear...
The Doctor: Ruby and Weiss are White Rose while Blake and Yang are Bumbleby. You can't top that!
Yang: Woof! I like that.
Ruby: I LOVE IT!
Weiss: That is...so cheesy Doctor. You are soooo lucky I'm your girlfriend.
The Doctor: Why thank you. Now then, we have arrived at Mantle. Khan and I will watch from the TARDIS while you four head out. You see anything, send an alarm immediately. And be very careful. If you find it and it attacks, don't let it get a taste of your blood or else...it's gonna be very hard to find out who's real...and who's fake.
Team RWBY nodded in agreement and headed out of the TARDIS while the Doctor observed carefully before sending a coded message to the Judoon. The White Rose searched throughout the city without any suspicions of the Serptuix being part of their search area. A scroll rang out that put both girls in alarm until Weiss brought it out to see Winter calling her.
Weiss:*sighs and answers* Winter.
Winter: Where are you?
Weiss: Bit busy right now. Got a bit of a situation going through.
Winter: What sort of situation? Is it Grimm? Is it something the Doctor did?
Weiss: Stop putting everything on him for once! *sighs* There's an alien that shapeshifts into people lurking around Mantle and we're trying to find it before any more problems ensues.
Winter did not say anything for a moment which Weiss took it in but was patted in the back by Ruby who gave her a small smile.
Winter: Seems like ever since he's come to Remnant, things have escalated more for us. If I happen to face it, I'll contact you to return immediately.
Weiss: Yes...Winter. *Hangs up and groans* This is so exhausting. She's not even helping at all or putting real focus onto this. Instead, it's always blame the Doctor!
Ruby: What if she's just concerned about you? Any sister would like Yang.
Weiss: If she did, she wouldn't push us away.
The scroll rang again but this time from Ruby's phone as she noticed Yang calling her which most likely meant they got something on their end as she answers it.
Ruby: Yang?
Yang: RUBY! IT WAS BLAKE! THE SERPTUIX WAS BLAKE!
Ruby: WHAT?! W-Where are you?
Yang: CHASING AFTER HER! IT'S HEADING TO ONE OF ATLAS CARGO SHIPS!
Weiss: Keep following and make sure it hops in. We'll be there to welcome it at arrival!
Ruby: Be careful Yang!
Yang: I will sis! See ya in a bit!
Weiss: We need to go to the Doctor, Now!
A few minutes earlier, back in the forests of Mantle's National Park, the Judoons continued their search for the Fugitive as at the time, there was no alert that the Serptuix was in fact in the city. They even had their first encounters with a few Grimms before killing them easily. They scanned and searched the river for any possible blood trace or clues. Kon-Plo received a message from the Doctor until one of the scanners detected something as the three officers approached where the scanner kept beeping faster until they saw something wrong. The warning of the Doctor was in fact correct.
Judoon Kon-Plo: Alert the Doctor! His companion is right here, and the fugitive is with them!
Above the water surfaces, unconscious and clawed from her leg was Blake, the real Blake Belladonna as it turns out the Serptuix shapeshifted into Blake to where it was well disguised, and it was with the Doctor and their team. Back in the present, Ruby and Weiss ran through the town in getting back to the TARDIS until they stopped by an alleyway to see the police box there.
Weiss: It wasn't here before right?
Ruby: Something went wrong.
Both girls went inside the TARDIS and their eyes dropped like their hearts when they saw something very off in front of them. The Doctor was attending a beaten-up Yang which worried Ruby very much.
Ruby: YANG! *Runs to her* Are you okay?
The Doctor: She'll be fine. Nothing too serious except from bruises from her confrontation with the Serptuix. Turns out it was disguised as Blake which means she is back at the forests where Kon-Plo found her.
Weiss: It was right here...with all of us...and we didn't suspect a thing at all.
The Doctor: There's one thing the Judoon forgot to explain that I had to figure it out on my own. The Serptuix drink the victim's blood not only to disguise themselves but also shapeshift their insides to create a perfect shapeshifter.
Weiss: And now it's heading towards Atlas. I must alert Winter!
The Doctor: She's going to put more people up there in danger if she sends out her troops!
Weiss: What other choice do we have Doctor?! We need her to stall it while we all get there!
The Doctor: *nods* Go.
Weiss went on to grab her scroll and contacted Winter to alert her of the situation while the Doctor and Ruby continued to attend Yang until the Doctor noticed something off with Yang's bruises. One of them was a bite on her lip and the bleeding was still fresh.
The Doctor: Khan...Atlas Academy. NOW!
Dalek Khan: On it! I shall notify the Judoons as well to meet us up there!
Ruby: Yang, what happened? What's the last thing you remember while chasing the Blake shapeshifter.
Yang: *groans* Chasing?
The Doctor: We were fooled once again...
Ruby's eyes widened until her scroll rang again and saw "Yang" was calling her despite her sister being right here in front of her. Shaken up with a bit of anger, Ruby answered.
Ruby: Yang...
Yang: Ruby! I'm here at the school academy, we got big problems cause the Blake Serptuix slithered it's way in!
Ruby: Yang...how are you even calling me when my REAL sister is right here in front of me!
The call went silent from the other side until a rising cackle came from "Yang's" side of the call. Gone was the voice of her sister and instead was a raspy like voice.
Serptuix: The secret is out then. I must say, disguising myself as two of your teammates and falling for both times when I was right there was hilarious!
The Doctor: Serptuix, I'm the Doctor and I am giving you a chance to stand down and surrender. The Judoons already have you listed for execution, but I can prevent that if you just surrender peacefully to us.
Serptuix: You think I want that! I rather die than rot in a prison! No matter, I will send a distress call to my people and they will come for me, kill the Judoons, and bring waste to this insect planet!
The Doctor: You are not in your universe anymore. You've been sucked to a new universe and a new world. You're all alone now...
The Serptuix was silent until it hung up the call. That meant bad news but fortunately they just arrived back at Atlas Academy as well. At the same time, the Judoons appeared inside of the TARDIS with an unconscious Blake.
Everyone: BLAKE!
The Doctor helped lay her next to Yang as he attended Blake and noticed the claw marks on her leg. The Serptuix found ways to get their bloods and was now disguising as them to create havoc inside the Academy and who knows what else.
Weiss: What do we do Doctor? Blake and Yang aren't in condition to help us or even fight.
The Doctor: *thinks* I'm thinking right now!
Yang: *groans and stands up* You...all go...and knock its ass off our world...I'll stay with Blake...
Ruby: Sis...
Yang: I'll be fine Rubes...just make sure you give that snake a good beating on my behalf.
The Doctor: Alright! Kon-Plo, it's snuck inside this facility disguised as Yang now. We need to find them and stop them immediately.
Judoon Kon-Plo: Affirmative! Let's Go!
Everyone walked out of the TARDIS while the Bumbleby duo remained behind to recover and hope this would end soon. Everyone around the Academy watched in amazement and was a bit scared at the sight of the Judoons walking alongside the Doctor, Ruby, Weiss, and Dalek Khan. It's not every day you see a rhino like being in heavy armor walking to Atlas.
The Doctor: Ruby, contact Team JNOR and Penny, let them know about the situation. We're going to need all the help to surround the Serptuix!
Winter: Everyone is already on alert Doctor! You brought upon this mess and we'll show you how we get it done.
Standing in front of them was Winter with the Ace-Ops, though just like the others, were a bit freaked out by the appearances of the Judoons. Kon-Plo approached Winter and scanned her before it came out as human.
Judoon Kon-Plo: I am the captain of the Judoon Fleet 157, Kon-Plo. We thank you for your assistance in finding the fugitive.
Winter: My pleasure captain. Welcome to Planet Remnant and specifically, Atlas Academy. It's with great honor to see that there is life out there with authority and enforcement *looks at the Doctor* Unlike a few who tend to resolve a situation but leave a mess behind. What are we tracking down captain?
Judoon Kon-Plo: A fugitive that is part of the Serptuix species. It can shapeshift into any living organism and maintain a perfect disguise inside out. It escaped when our ship crashed in the forests down below.
Weiss: It first took the disguise of Blake and now it's entered the Academy looking like Yang. It also has the ability to stretch out its limbs to escape or fight back!
Winter: It's a very good thing I sent out the alert secretly that everyone was to report outside of the Academy. Can't imagine the difficulty if you came without alerting us. It could take the disguise of anyone and make it much harder to find it. Isn't that right Doctor?
The Doctor: If you wanna spit out your anger and hate for me, do it when we're not dealing with an alien fugitive!
Weiss: You two...
Winter: Very well. Captain, I suggest a technique that combines both our ideas and tactics.
Judoon Kon-Plo: Surround the area with your soldiers. Split your best and strongest soldiers enter the facility to surround the most protected rooms while my soldiers and I would lure the fugitive to a trap for execution.
Winter: Is that the fugitive's penalty sentence?
Judoon Kon-Plo: Lifetime Prison was its penalty but damaging a Judoon ship, assaulting a Judoon officer especially the Captain, bringing harm among other lifeforms results in immediate execution.
Winter: A perfect criminal system captain. Well done. We could use more like you. Alright everyone, all of you remain outside the Academy and guard every entry and exit. If you suspect something, report it immediately. Ace-Ops, Weiss, Ruby, Captain, you will all enter the Academy with me. The more we enter, the quicker we set up the trap, the sooner we stop it. LET'S MOVE!
Everyone agreed as the selected groups made their way in as the Doctor was about to enter until Winter stopped him at the entrance to the shock of Ruby, Weiss, and Dalek Khan but were blocked by the Ace-Ops to get in the way.
Winter: You've done enough already. Let the professionals handle it from here. Guards! Make sure he has no entry inside. *Whispers to him* Do so and I will arrest you.
The Doctor glared back at Winter as she turned around standing tall and walking inside the Academy despite the protests from Ruby, Weiss, and Dalek Khan as the doors closed right in front of the Doctor. Things were brewing up at Atlas Academy as the young time lord walked back towards the TARDIS.
