The Fate-Breaking Romcom 2 - (Honkai Star Rail, Caelus x Firefly)

Robin wasn't sure how long she had been tailing the couple, she didn't even know how much her poor feet had carried her around. All she knew was that she was sure getting some juicy sights out of these two.

With a creepy grin on her face and her phone snapping pictures on the side, the girl had utterly thrown any common sense out of the window. It was so evident that she was so deep into this that the most recent interaction of people 'recognizing' her saw her giving them a most furious look.

"I am not. I am busy. Go away."

The worst part was that such a whiny threat was delivered in such a cute tone that the one that got hit by it merely smiled away and got out of sight. There were many things important in Robin's life.

Being a good sister, sing her heart out, and then being a gushing idiot for silly romances. And the one she was documenting was, without a doubt, the most adorable setting ever. A match made in heaven, the finest romcom she had ever witnessed - even fiction paled before such a mesmerizing sight.

After all, what were the chances of two young lovebirds being so clumsy with one another. One moment the boy was trying to respectfully pay for some snacks only for the girl to literally sacrifice her bank account to the gods of love (and business), the next one the girl was eyeing another prize despite having already gotten so many gifts from the boy... only for the boy to get spurned into playing the game for the prize and win it for her.

The entire scene went on for what appeared to be an eternity (two hours), and Robin was hardly feeling winded by such an intriguing situation. She knew not their names, but she could see an issue arising right as the third hour approached: they were both losing steam in keeping this wonderful date going.

Robin couldn't let the dream die!

It was quick-thinking that got her ready for such a masterful plan. She bought a Sunday-themed mask from a nearby vendor- "Gasp! Are you perhaps-" "No, I want that mask! How much?!" -and then Robin was off for a most cunning idea.

She, the alleged ultimate matchmaker of Penacony, would personally make sure that these two got back to the tracks of love!

Soon the young woman was skipping along the way and caught up to the two. The girl was the first one to notice her approach, and the intense threatening glare she directed to the masked woman was almost enough to make Robin hesitate... just for a moment as she was driven by something above mere common sense.

"Greetings, you two. How is your Golden Night going?"

The girl turned and frowned. "W-Well."

"It's going great!"

The boy's delighted response instantly broke the tension within the shorter lovebird. The poor girl blushing so hard that Robin cracked under the urge of giving her a tight hug.

"My name is Ro... Rosa. Yes, my name is Rosa- now, as I was trying to say, I am here on behalf of Penacony's Group for Aspiring Romancers. I would like to assist you in your journey towards the path of Romance, Love, and Bonds."

This time, it was the turn of the boy to blush. "R-Romance?"

Ah yes, so 'unaware' and yet so primed to get hit by the truth. Love is truly blinding, but she had to crack on this little habit fast before these two ruined it for each other.

"Yes, Romance. The one you two are having. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon the sight of two young people going to a date, enjoying time with one another in a most unique and heartwarming fashion and then even considering moving around to see even more of this lovely place."

"D-Date?" The girl squeaked, her face burning red. "I-I don't think, I mean, I wouldn't mind but-"

"You don't?" The young man asked, "I wouldn't mind either so..."

"So, it is a date. I am glad we could all agree to that," 'Rosa' interjected strongly, smiling behind her mask. "Now, how about you introduce yourselves?"

There was still some lingering awkwardness from the previous topic, but the girl recoiled faster.

"Firefly. This is Caelus."

Robin nodded. "It is a pleasure ot meet you. Now, as a member of the PGAR, it is my honor to assist you in finding the best continuation to such a date. After all here in Penacony we can only support positive interactions such as the one you two are entertaining. Do you have any potential worry about this hangout?"

The two shared a look and then Caelus nodded. "I suppose it's... I don't want to sound too rude about it."

"None of it, mister. Speak, and I shall give you a solution."

"I... I kind of finished showing all the good d-dating places around I could think of," Firefly admitted, and this was met with a hint of surprise by Robin.

Truly? That's absurd.

But maybe the girl was not speaking about all known places, but those places she knew about. After all, Firefly didn't look to be a local here in Penacony, so maybe she was a more seasoned tourist that had yet to see Penacony to the fullest.

"If that's the case... then it would make sense that you should examine if any of you have other places to check for sure. Maybe there's some place you think Firefly may like, Caelus?"

The gray-haired young man frowned and brought a hand to his chin to stroke it. Then a realization seemed to cross the boy's eyes.

"I have a few places but they are... distant. I can get you all there but it may be a bit sudden."

Robin chuckled, "None of that. If you think that your partner may like those places, it is only fair to show her those rather than let her do all the wandering."

Caelus nodded in agreement and offered a tiny smile at the curious look Firefly offered to him. And, much to Robin's surprise, he reached out to grasp her arm. He was already holding Firefly's hand but- but then...

Something shifted and light erupted from the sky. It wasn't a flash, it was... a sun? No, the chattering around and the feeling of sunrays was like- where are they!?

Bailu was glad that she didn't have to deal with more wounded people.

The Vidyadhara girl hated seeing so many hurting people, but her intense efforts have paid off as most of those affected by the Stellaron Incident have been patched up and only a handful of lesser cases remained. All of which was being handled by other healers...

And leaving her without much to do in her free time.

In a normal situation, Bailu would have taken this opportunity to sneak away, but her tutors had grown 'tired' of her antics and set up some Cloud Knights to 'keep an eye on her'. Since she was the Vidyadhara Elder for the Luofu (or expected to grow up to become that), Bailu was going to face potential attempts at her life.

She had one unfolding around the time the reincarnation of her predecessor came to visit, and she knew there was truth to that statement - But she was so bored!

It wasn't even a matter of not wanting to work. There was literally no work for her to do. She could have welcomed even the lesser cases, but now the healers were whining about her being 'above' lesser cases. Which was stupid to the core!

Still, her boredom wasn't bound to last for long as her blue eyes spotted a familiar guy with gray hair. There was no doubt, that was her good ol' friend Caelus. And he was rushing around while carrying a trembling girl in his arms while another woman, this one wearing a silly guy mask.

Knowing this wasn't a visit of courtesy, Bailu took a proper stance, nodding at her friend and starting the standard procedure of understanding what was going on.

"We... We were on a date in Penacony, I decided to bring here and she started to freak out."

That didn't sound like much, but Bailu was quick to start her own examination and she understood what was going on.

"She's having a panic attack. Did you say or do something to cause it?"

Caelus shook his head, while Bailu merely retrieved some specially-crafted medical pill to soothe people's worries. The trembling girl took two, and it didn't take too long for her shivers to slow down.

"T-This is not right. I- I shouldn't be so well. I-I was sick."

"What sickness?" Bailu pressed, knowing she couldn't allow the panic attack to worsen and also wanting to know what was triggering this situation.

"E-Entropy- Entropy Loss Syndrome."

ELS?! That was absurd! The girl in her care didn't have that. Bailu may be forgetful at times, but she had studied this rare illness and knew how to spot the symptoms of it. The girl didn't have it, and yet she believed she had it.

Maybe something happened that took it from her?

"Well, you don't have it."

These words suddenly drew the young woman to a pause, her eyes still wide open with shock.

"I-I don't?"

"Nope. I can look even more, but you are healthy. Don't know how you were sick with that, but now you are fine."

That seemed to be enough to take care of this hassle. Caelus stood by Miss Firefly's side as the two chatted quietly and Bailu was soon staring at these two.

Bailu may have not spent a lot of time with Caelus, and she had seen big bro get close to a few interesting girls around... but she could tell the Trailblazer may have gotten quite close with this one. And she felt deep within an urge to help him around.

She couldn't tell herself why, but she could tell he needed help and-

"They look good together, don't they?" The masked woman inquired, and Bailu nodded in agreement. "I wouldn't mind having an henchgirl."

"For what, miss?" Bailu inquired, eyes narrowing as she thought this masked lady was up to no good.

"I want these two to fall even more in love. But I can do so much and you seem to be quite aware of this place, miss-"

"Bailu. You can call me just Bailu."

The last thing the Vidyadhara girl needed was more people calling her Lady or Miss.

"Well, Bailu, I want these two to truly unleash their true romantic potential. And I am not a local so... I would love to have a helper in this dire situation."

The shorter girl huffed. "I have guards looking at me. I can't leave until the shift is over, even though I don't have anything to do!"

The whine was met with a nod and then a 'smile'.

"I think I can fix that for you. But I need your help, got it?"

Bailu was a bit unsure if this was a good deal, but she still nodded at it, and she was relieved when the masked lady didn't do anything spooky to the guards. She just walked up to them, whispered something and they all left one by one.

"How?"

"I have a way with words," 'Rosa' explained mysteriously, but Bailu didn't care.

She was free... and now she could help that silly big bro Caelus into doing romancing well with big sis Firefly!
