N.A.T.U
Chapter 7
Author Notes: Time for a mini time skip folks!
Sen: We can't even call it a mini time skip with how this story is going.
Mako: I mean...how else would you describe this? This happens like the next day from the last chapter.
Sen: Hm...I got nothing. Carry on.
Mako: Ok then, we do not own Pokemon.

"I just have one question for you...How?!" Shishiki bit her lips in an attempt to stop herself from smiling, but failed horribly. Frankly she couldn't blame Jordan one bit for his expression of disbelief. "About?" He gives her a deadpanned look.
Completely seeing through her innocent façade. She was teasing the hell out of him as she simply takes a sip of her moomoo milk tea. The school store employee detects one hell of a story and man did he want to know. Especially with her record of bad luck that he's seen and heard within the week. It was gossip time~
"I don't think I need to clarify about what I wanna know. It's been about two days since I last saw you, and not only did you pay me back in full for the discount I gave you on the camping set, but you're paying for lunch with plenty of cash left over and even have a fricking shiny! I need the dets girl!"
She snorts into her drink, unable to stop herself. The freshman couldn't feign ignorance anymore, especially since her pokemon companions-the shiny included in the little mix tried giving her napkins to help clean up the spilt tea.
"Ok ok. I give." Their location of choice was just one of the many, many food joints across the island. The Dreamie Alcreamie, a buffet style café-home of all sorts of tasty treats-much like it's poke-mascot. A place that Shishiki was more than happy to oblige her sweet tooth cravings.
Thank god for Jordan and her pokemap feature. Both were saviors. "So the morning after I made a camping spot to settle, I had checked out a map and thought a good way to train, get some new pokemon and food was to do some fishing."
Immediately she takes out her pokedex, showing Jordan where her temporary stay was. "I saw that I was close to a couple areas of water, but I figured the beach was my best bet and well...I ran into a group called the Crimson Carvanahs." At this point her friend was on the edge of his seat.
"And?" A nervous chuckle escaped her as she lifted up her new shiny friend who simply waved at the boy. "I'm an unofficial honorary member of their club?" In general she didn't even realize what was going on. "Keep going while I enter your shiny into my pokedex." All it took was a quick scan. He still couldn't believe it.
Tentacool the Jellyfish pokemon and the pre-evolved form of Tentacruel. These pokemon tend to float aimlessly in the sea. Often times due to this they find themselves on land and shrivel up. Throwing them back into the water revitalizes them, but be careful as they like to fire acid and sting people when threatened.
Currently the jellyfish in question was using its tentacles to play with her owner's hair, much to said owner's amusement. "I'm still kinda confused on what happened but the short version is, they were really impressed with my fishing skills and bought any of the pokemon that I didn't want to keep."
What was originally just her wanting to fish somehow just became a whirlwind of events that left her in a confused daze. "How many pokemon did you catch?!" The way he was looking at it, she had to either have caught a bunch or the pokemon she caught were super rare.
He didn't know the Crimson Carvanah's club members personally, but by reputation alone they were a passionate group that were very dedicated to their fishing expeditions. And clearly, Shishiki made some hefty earnings from catching their eye.
"Honestly I have no idea. They had me there literally the whole day. They offered me some of their food, helped me any time I hit a bad snag or lost my line. They gave me extra pokeballs to catch... And when I had finally had enough and wondered what to do with all the extras I didn't want-they offered to buy them."
It was actual insanity in her eyes, but for once it was the good kind. They were a nice, hospital group of guys that worked together as a group to find success. Should one member find themselves on a strong streak they do whatever's possible to keep things going.
And even though she was a total stranger that came in on their turf, they welcomed her with no qualms. They even gave her a some space for the water pokemon she decided to keep but couldn't carry around in her party to live in.
Where those pokemon she could not only grab whenever she needed them, but when she didn't need them were taken care of by students and club members to earn extra credit for their classes. Honestly it was a fun, unexpected experience.
One that she had to admit wouldn't be a bad idea to do once in a while, especially when her funds were low. "I can't believe this. The whole day? Did you fish up the whole ocean or something?" She laughed at his statement, and his face.
"Pretty much. Back home my grandmother who owned an herbal shop taught me how to make a scented salve to attract water pokemon. Often times my grandfather and I would fish using it since we lived by a huge lake." She could only shrug with a sheepish smile.
Even she was blown away with how effective her family trick worked. "I wasn't sure if it would work since the beach was salt water, but it attracted pokemon left and right. I was just going to eat whatever extra pokemon I caught, but instead all of my pokemon ended up in a heated auction."
After she had enough of fishing(and at this point was barely awake) she was offered a chance to sleep in one of the extra rooms of the Crimson Carvanah's shacks that held all sorts of food, equipment and even guest futons for situations like this.
When she woke up, she found herself startled to find Gail waiting for her, covered in bruises yet sporting a toothy grin as he handed her a card that held all the money she gained from said auction. Apparently huge fights broke out that resulted in a series of pokemon battles.
Just a few of her pokemon earned her thousands of pokecash. But with how long she fished with their help, as well as her grandmother's bait-to say she wouldn't have to worry about expenses for awhile was an understatement.
"That's crazy...but I'm glad some luck is finally coming your way. I was pretty worried when you left a few days ago. But you seriously didn't have to pay me back for the discount." Again, the girl could only shrug before she reached for a pichu shaped cookie.
Nibbling a bit she savored the flavor of the freshly baked goods before answering. "I know-but I did want to thank you for everything you've done for me. And I heard from Gail that this place was good. Consider this payback for all your help. Now hurry up and eat before I demolish this tray of cookies."
A grin formed on his face as she did indeed reach for another, this time a mareep shaped one. "Now who am I to say no." As the two went forward, reaching their hands into the dish, a large shadow overtook their table while a heavy dish smacking roughly into the wood.
The harsh and rather sudden movement made the two flinch back, blinking in shock. There...stood the headmaster. "Here's some sweets for the sweet couple~" With a terribly fake mustache and apron. "What are you doing here headmaster?" Jordan was ready to crawl into a hole and die.
However the best he could do was hide his head in his arms. "I am not the headmaster! Shame on you Jordan for not remembering me! I'm the cool part timer for Alcreamie Dreamie! But that's alright I have more delicious snacks for you and your new amore~" Now Shishiki was ready to join him.
Her face was as hot as the fire pokemon found on the island. "It-it's not like that! We're friends and she just offered to treat me." Another slam of pastries onto the table. "Her treat you!? That is hardly a gentlemanly thing to do-I thought you were taught better young man!"
Jordan groaned in frustration, the desire to throttle the elder man growing the longer he stays. "Mr. Mizuki please go away!" The worst thing about this was the fact that other than being horribly embarrassed, Shishiki should've known something weird and unexpected was going to happen.
Because of course with her luck-it doesn't take much for a good, peaceful event to take a turn to the terrible or chaotic. "Now would the lovely lady like some music? Nothing beats a romantic escapade than a something atmospheric~" Immediately he brings out a violin.
Stringing a lovely, slow number. It was a nice song, too bad that this wasn't an actual date. Sure she liked Jordan, and he was cute and sweet...but the point of this meet up was to eat treats, trade gossip and just in general pay him back for helping her.
"Please kill me." This? This was horribly embarrassing that left the pair of friends a blushing, awkward mess. Jordan grimacing watching poor Shishiki putting her head on the table, trying to ignore all of the pitiful looks she was receiving from the other customers.
If these people truly pitied her...then she could only hope someone DOES SOMETHING! Fortunately their rescue came in the form of their waitress. A brunette girl named Rosa. "Headmaster, I just got a call from your office. Your secretary is coming to get you about some paperwork you need to si-"
Before she could finish, Mr. Mizuki threw the violin, everyone flinching at both the instruments destruction as well as the horrible sound. "Oh look at the time. I gotta run! Jordan good luck and Ta ta for now~" In his hands is another colorful smoke bomb.
One he instantly smashes into the ground, practically blinding everyone in the small café. "Ugh!" He disappears in a flash. Leaving behind an overly strong rose scent that was slowly, but surely poisoning everyone with a nose.
Shishiki and Jordan, suffering the most, coughing from the fumes that was literally thrown their way. "Damn him!" Curses ring out throughout the floor as windows were immediately opened. Rose screaming in frustration...which wasn't a surprise for her.
Being a third year, this was not his first showing of a dramatic escape. And it would not be the last. "Can't he go ONE day without using those stupid smoke bombs!?" It took a few moments for the dizzying, disorienting side effects to fade away.
"What the fuck?" And another few moments for Jordan to find the strength to look at his...company in the eye. "I am so sorry about him. You ok?" She was still coughing, struggling to breath from the scent. She liked candles and sweet scents, but there were limits.
Especially if it was an overpowering aroma like what she was forced to inhale. "I'm fine...but mind explaining what was up with the principal making my already obnoxious table of sweets grow while he teased you? What was that about?"
He sighs, raising his hand to call their saving grace over. "It's...a long story." If he was going to explain that royal dumpster fire they just went through, he was going to need more sweets. Ice cream specifically to drown himself in.
"It's a good thing we got plenty of time-start talking." Something the freshman wasn't going to mind in the slightest. It'll cool down their flaming cheeks at the bare minimum, and send them into a heavenly food coma if they're lucky.
to be continued
Mako: So its over, and with ice cream~ Its a good way to go. Nothing beats satisfaction more than the coolest sweet treat ever!
Sen: I want some now-
Mako: Yeah...same here. Course both of our freezers were empty while writing this...*sighs.* Oh well Ce la vie!
Sen: So we're ending this now?
Mako: Yep. Guys thank you so much for reading. If you like this series so far, please feel free to fav/follow/review as it would mean a lot to us. Tchao for now.
