Suddenly very aware of what he's doing Blaine pulls back "Shit, sorry". Kurt looks at him, confused and with his kissed swollen lips. "You're my student. I'm your teacher. I don't know what I was thinking. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that" Blaine apologizes in a hurry. Yet what happened happened and there's nothing he can do about.
"Blaine it's okay. I kissed you back for a reason" Kurt answers and his calm voice immediatly helps Blaine to calm down a bit. His heart is still racing but that will goaway. Or maybe not? He just kissed Kurt! And Kurt kissed him back!
For a moment it's quiet before Kurt smiles at the other man, subconciously taking his hand "How about we go somewhere and talk? I still owe you a coffee". At that Blaine laughs "Right. I forgot about that. Okay let me pack my stuff and then we can go". Before he turns around he adds "Your phone. Before we forget it again". Kurt takes his phone, their fingertips touching only a bit too long.
While Blaine packs his stuff together Kurt just puts everything in his bag. He'll sort it at home later. Next he sends a text to the girls, telling them to eat without him and he'll tell them why later but they should cook and eat and he'll warm up soomething for him later when he comes home. Blaine is done shortly after so Kurt asks "Go?".
The older man nods "Go". He wants to take Kurts hand. It felt so good earlier but they are still at school and no one should see them. They shouldn't do anything before they talked anyway. But they can't really stay away from each other so they walk close next to each other. Close enough for their arms to bump together now and then.
About 10 minutes of not saying a word later they arrive at a coffee shop where they order and sit down with their coffees. "So" Kurt starts, watching Blaine take a sip of his coffee "Can I be brutally honest?". "Sure" Blaine nods. He wants to know what Kurt thinks but at the same time he doesn't. But he has to. "I had a crush on you the moment you walked into the classroom. And then I overheard you telling the girls in class that you're gay and my crush got out of hand".
"I liked you too when I first saw you. But then I thought 'No, we're student and teacher. You can't have feelings for a student'. I couldn't help myself" Blaine laughs and takes another sip of his coffee "I like you and there's nothing I can do about".
"Great. I like you too. Isn't there a way we can figure things out? Because I really want to hold your hand and kiss you again" Kurt admits. "Just that or a relationship? Because I would really like to be your boyfriend" Blaine blushes. When was the last time he blushed? "I want you to be my boyfriend Blaine and I want to be yours. I'm sure we figure the rest out" Kurt says.
"Okay" the curly haired man nods and Kurt almost chokes on his coffee "Okay?". "Yeah. I'd really like being in a relationship with you" Blaine nods. "Okay" the younger man says and Blaine repeats "Okay" taking Kurts hand under the table. They both smile. This feels good and it only took them six weeks to confess their feelings for each other.
"How about we walk around a bit more and talk before I have to go home?" Kurt proposes once their drinks are empty. The coffee shop is close to a little park with not many people around and non of them from NYADA. Both men stand up and shortly after they take a walk in the park, holding hands and smiling widely. "So at school we're still student and teacher, friendly but not suspicious" Kurt says and Blaine agrees. That's what he had in mind too. "Would it be okay if I tell Rachel and Santana? I mean I live with them so they would figure out eventually" Kurt asks. The other man nods "Of course. They are your best friends".
"What about tutoring sessions?" now Blaine asks and Kurt says "I definitly need them even tho lately we talk more than practice. But we still need to work on it. I can't stop now. I need to get this song right". "Okay but don't pressure yourself to much. Take breaks once in a while" the older says "I went through that. Believe me. I lost my voice once from too much practice and had go on vocal rest for two months and only start slowly again after".
Five minutes later Blaines phone rings "It's Marisol- Ms. Perez. We often call to check in". He picks up, telling her that he will call him back in a few minutes. "It's getting late and I think I'm not the only one who should get home" Blaine then says and Kurt nods "You're right". He leans in for a cheek kiss, leaving not only Blaine but also himself unsatisfied. Quickly he looks to his left and right before leaning in again to kiss Blaine on the lips. Fireworks.
"Okay. Bye now" the younger man says and lets go of his boyfriends hand. "Bye" Blaine answers and waits until Kurt is out of eye sight before he too turns around to go back to his car. At home he will call Marisol back and go to bed with a smile on his lips. Maybe he texts Kurt goodnight before. That's when it hits him. They forgot to exchange numbers. Well no text goodnight then. He'll figure something out for tomorrow.
When Kurt comes home the girls sit in the kitchen but jump up as soon as the door opens. "You're smiling" is the first thing Rachel notices. "Yeah. Blaine and I went out for a coffee and talked" Kurt answers. "Just like that? Tell us everything. From the beginning" the brownhaired woman says exited. "Okay. Okay. Let me get something to eat first" the young man says with a laugh.
Only a moment later Kurt sits at the kitchen table and tells his friends everything. He starts with sitting close to each others and ends with their walk in the park. When he's done talking Rachel laughs in glee for her best friend and Santana smirks "Well done lady Hummel".
"It's just" Kurt starts and sighs "We said goodbye in the park and I kissed him on the cheek as a goodbye. I kissed him on the lips after too but I almost left with only the cheek kiss. It felt super embarrasing". "Oh Kurtie" Rachel hugs the young man "It's okay. I'm sure he doesn't mind". "Did he talk to you about it? Or any changes in his facial expressions?" the latina asks and Kurt shakes his head "No. Not that I noticed". "Then it's okay. He doesn't seem to mind" Santana says but still Kurt sighs "It's just difficult and we just stared dating".
"Let's eat dessert and think about something else. You stopped smiling even tho today is such a good day for you" Rachel says while Santana starts cleaning the table quickly. "You're right. I should text Blaine and tell him that I told you and you support us" Kurt answers and takes his phone out. "And tell him that Rach and I can help to cover you two in or after school but if he hurts you he should run for his life before I find him" Santana adds.
Kurt nods but stops "I forgot to give him my number or ask for his. We were so in our bubble that I forgot. I'm such an idiot". His smile vanishes again. How could he be so stupid and forget? Santana and Rachel see the look on Kurts face, sad eyes fixed on his phone screen. They shoot a look at each other and nod. "Stand up Hummel" Santana says, pulling him to his feet and to the couch where he sits him down again. She sits down next to him and Rachel follows shortly after, sitting down on Kurts other side with ice cream and chocolate "We're watching Mamma Mia and tomorrow we can figure something out".
Kurt hardly listens in his first class of the day. Mamma Mia cheered him up but now he's in a bad mood. He only sees Blaine again tomorrow in class and already kind of misses him. Without each others numbers they couldn't talk in any way since they said goodbye ysterday in the park.
After class Kurt, Rachel and Santana go to get a coffee before their next class. On their way back from the coffee cart Kurt spots Blaine in the hallway. Neither of them can hide their smile. That's when the teacher walks in their direction "Kurt. I wanted to give you my notes from yesterday so you can improve on your song further". He gives Kurt a paper with a smile and turns to the girls "See you in class tomorrow". "Thank you Mr. Anderson" Kurt says slightly confused but Blaine just smirks, turns around and leaves again. Only now Kurt looks down to the paper in his hand and sees "Blaine wrote his phone number on it".
