Tony rubbed his hand over his face and groaned in frustration. They had been looking for Angela for hours. He felt so helpless. She was out there probably hurt and confused and he couldn't do anything to help her. All he wanted was to take her in his arms and tell her how sorry he was for the way he had been acting. Even if she yelled at him and slapped him across the face he would accept it. He just wanted and needed to know that she was safe.

"Hey Tone. How are you holding up?" Eddie asked.

"Like shit! I mean where the hell is she?" He threw his hands in the air.

Pee Wee came over. "Tony, we're going to find her. "

"Yeah, we have all these people looking." Joey said.

"I know. But it's like she disappeared off the face of the earth. She's not in any of the hospitals, police stations, homeless shelters, or women's shelters the police checked out. "

"Maybe someone picked her up." Eddie suggested.

"Then why didn't they take her to the nearest hospital or police station? " A horrible thought crossed his mind. "Oh my God. What if someone did pick her up and they took her to their house and are holding her against her will?!"

"Come on, do you really think that happened?" Joey asked,

"I can't think of any other explanation except that she was abducted by aliens!" Tony kicked the ground in anger.

"Tony, you're not thinking clearly. Maybe you should.." Pee Wee started but Tony interrupted.

"If you are going to suggest I go home you can just save it. I am not going home until we find her. And if she tells me that I am the biggest jerk she has ever known I'll take it. She can scream at me as much as she wants. I just want her back. I need her back. I can't let her last memory be of her hating me."

Vinnie, Tiny, and Philly came over.

"Miceli, if anyone is to blame for what happened it's us." Vinnie said pointing between Tiny and him.

"And Ernie." Tiny said,

'What are you talking about?" Philly asked.

Vinnie sighed. "Well all three of us noticed how Angela was controlling Tony so we said something. "

"Yeah, it was getting out of hand. Poor Tony couldn't go to the bathroom without permission." Tiny said.

"What?! What in the hell are you idiots talking about?!" Joey asked.

"Yeah, that's ridiculous!" Eddie put his two cents in.

'Hey now wait a minute! You all weren't there. We came back to the house and Angela practically bit Tony's head off because he was a little late for some stupid dinner with some of her hoity toity friends." Vinnie defended.

"But that doesn't mean she was controlling him!" Philly shook his head.

"Oh come on. That's how it starts! First they get on you for being late, then they whine that you're not spending any time with them, and then before you know it you're trailing after them like a puppy dog carrying her purse in one hand and her packages in another." Tiny exclaimed.

"So, hold on. You thought that Tony was being henpecked?" Pee Wee asked.

"Exactly! And he was. I mean Angela came home from her stupid ballet and had a hissy fit just because we were there playing poker." Vinnie rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, I mean all we were doing was having some fun and she had to ruin it!"

Eddie, Philly, Joey, and Pee Wee all looked at each other and then at Vinnie and Tiny. They couldn't believe what they had just heard.

"You assholes do realize that it is Angela's house right?" Philly glared at them.

"Oh yeah. She made that perfectly clear!" Vinnie said.

"Yeah, I mean . She used to be cool. But lately she's been an annoying stick in the mud." Tiny said.

Before anyone could blink an angry fist caught the side of his face and Tiny went down.

He was so happy he was almost home. That had been one of the longest and most boring medical conventions he had ever been to.

BOOM! BOOM! The rain was pouring down in sheets.

"Oh that doesn't sound or look good. "

He noticed the car in front of him swerving.

"Geez, I hope whoever is driving doesn't get in an accident ."

He checked the time on the dashboard.

9:38 p.m.

"I guess I better call and see how things are going."

He picked up his car phone and dialed.

RING! RING!

"Good evening. Angel Laura Memorial Clinic. This is Sherry, how may I help you?" His receptionist Sherry answered.

"Hey, Sherry, it's me."

"Hey Jeremy. How was the convention?"

"Long and boring!"

Sherry laughed. "So are you almost home?"

"Yeah, I should be there in about half an hour. So how is everything there?"

Sherry looked at the patient chart.

"Okay let's see. We had two sprained ankles, one chest pain that turned out to be gas, three little kids who decided to swallow something they weren't supposed to, and a few people who nicked their fingers with knives."

"Sounds eventful"

"It was but it's quiet now."

"That's good. Hey, tell Barbara and Kate to go home and take the next few days off. You too."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, the three of you have been working way too much. I can handle things in the next few days."

"Wow, okay I'll tell them. Thanks!"

"You're welcome."

"Tell us what?" Barbara, one of his nurses, asked coming into the room.

"Oh it's Jeremy, he said we can all take the next few days off." Sherry filled her in.

"Oh that's good. I'm exhausted." Barbara said.

"Hey gals, what's up?" Kate- the other nurse asked, coming over.

"Oh, Jeremy is on the phone and he said we can take the next few days off." Barbara informed her.

"Really? That's cool. Maybe I can finally finish that book I've been reading."

"Hey, Jeremy, I just told them." Sherry said.

"Yeah. Thanks Jeremy!" Barbara yelled.

'Yeah thanks!" Kate yelled.

"You're welcome. Now just relax for the next few days and…holy shit!"

"What?" What is it?" Sherry asked.

"The car in front of me just went over a cliff!"
