Currently, Amity was alone in the shack and just waiting for everyone to come back from possible leads around town. Waiting for them, she was looking at the sword in her hand and was still shocked by the whole thing.
She had inherited the power of an ancient demon bloodline, one that could shape the very world around her if not used right.
And she had it in her hands…no pressure, right?
'This is the most stressful thing I have ever learned in my entire life.' Amity thought.
'I can believe that, your memories paint your mother as a fucking nightmare.' Rebellion said to Amity. 'Nice ass though.'
'DO NOT say that about my mother or I am going to vomit!' Amity thought with a -_- face.
'Just speaking the truth.' Rebellion said.
'Then just lie.' Amity thought before making the sword become a bracelet again.
Good thing she did because the door soon opened and Luz walked in.
"Luz!" Amiy said, smiling at her.
"Amity!" Luz said, smiling back as the negative feeling from before wasn't as strong. "What've you been doing since this morning?"
"Nothing much. Just waiting for everyone to come back with Vee, we found something big and they all thought it'd be best if I stay behind while they go out to find answers this time." Amity said.
"This time? What happened last time?" Luz asked.
"Uh… I'd rather not say." Amity said, glancing away.
'You made a complete fool of yourself at the library. Hehehehehehehe.' Rebellion said with a chuckle.
'Shut up!' Amity thought as she blushed.
"Awwww, I'm sure they'll let you go next time, batata." Luz said, walking up to Amity.
'Ugh, sweet potato? Really?' Yamato asked with a groan.
'You're just jealous.' Luz thought.
'No, I am very certain I am not.' Yamato replied.
Somewhat the same with Vergil, Yamato wasn't interested in romantic relationships. And not just because he was a sword.
He thought they dragged a warrior down.
Yamato hoped Luz would realize that soon but it seemed unluckily as Luz and Amity shared a loving kiss.
'How annoying.' Yamato said to itself.
'Young love, how adorable.' Rebellion said to itself.
"So how was school?" Amity asked.
"Oh you know, just want to slam my head into a wall after." Luz said, shrugging. "Same old same old."
"I think you're over exaggerating." Amity said, rolling her eyes. "Human school can't be that bad."
"Oh how I love your blind love of learning." Luz said, shaking her head. "Wish I had that when it comes to Earth school."
"Well, you're not at school now, you're here." Amity said, gesturing to the cabin. "Your second home away from home."
"Yeah. I'm in this cabin. With you. All alone." Luz said, slowly sitting down next to Amity. "So, what do you wanna do? Read Azura? Head back to the house to watch tv? Just sit here and cuddle until dinner at 6:30?"
"Tough decisions." Amity said with a grin.
'Awww, that's sweet.' Rebellion thought with a "smile."
'Oh God and Satan, I think I'm going to vomit.' Yamato thought with a groan.
'Shut up.' Luz thought.
Amity and Luz cuddled with each other, enjoying the silence they have together as they held hands and interlocked their fingers.
"Cuddle it is." Luz said softly.
"I'm not complaining." Amity replied.
"I know." Luz said before as they sat in comfortable silence.
As they cuddled, both wondered if they should tell each other about their... discovery.
'Yamato/Rebellion, should I tell Amity/Luz about you?' The girls thought at the same time to their demon swords.
'Absolutely not./It's your choice, kid.' The demon swords replied to their wielders.
Amity thought about it a bit more... and decided not to. Luz would probably feel upset at Amity having the opportunity to help the group more and she knows Luz blames herself a lot.
Luz on the other hand, was upset, because her sword was being such a stick in the mud.
'Why not? If I told my friends, they could help me train more to master your power.' Luz thought.
'They don't understand the power I have, it's best to let me train you.' Yamato said to her.
'They come from a world where life and magic came from a giant corpse. How could they not comprehend you or that there are demons here on Earth?' Luz thought.
'Because the demons here are 10 times deadlier than anything in their realm.' Yamato said. 'You've seen what just a few are capable of, you have yet to face a guardian besides Beowulf, and even then you required me to take over.'
'Which is not happening again! And I know my friends, they're stronger than they look.' Luz thought.
'Regardless. It's better to keep me in the dark for now, or else one of the smarter demons will use your friends as leverage.' Yamato said.
Luz hated that he made sense.
So much so that she groaned out loud by accident.
"Something wrong, Luz?" Amity asked.
"Just...been one of those days." Luz said with a sigh.
"Did one of your bullies try something?" Amity assumed.
"You could say that." Luz said, snuggling closer to Amity. "I just... I honestly hate it here sometimes."
"How could you hate your own realm?" Amity asked.
"Besides being called "the weird kid" for believing in magic?" Luz asked, being a little sarcastic.
"But... magic is real." Amity said.
"Not as real as most people would believe. Most magic these days comes from sleight of hand stage magicians or com artists." Luz said.
'Humanity has lost its connect to true magic, that's why people don't believe anymore.' Yamato said to Luz.
"So yeah, I'm seen as the weirdo because of that." Luz said, ignoring Yamato.
"Well then, they don't know what they're missing. You are without a doubt, the greatest person and witch I have ever met." Amity said with smile.
'Awww, that's sweet.' Rebellion said.
"Aw, you always know what to say." Luz said, feeling her mood lifting.
Luz gave Amity a kiss on the cheek, making her blush as her smile widened.
"So, more cuddling?" Amity asked.
"More cuddling." Luz said with a smile.
That is until the door opened and their friends returned with the scroll.
'Goddamnit!' Luz thought as she stood up.
"Hey, guys! Glad you're back." Luz said.
"Seems like we showed up at the worst time." Willow teased.
"Not exactly like that but yes. You did." Amity said, nodding.
"Well, what can we say?" Gus asked with a shrug. "Comedic timing."
'More like cockblock timing but for women, I guess.' Rebellion said.
'Shut up.' Amity thought.
"So, did you guys find anything?" Amity asked.
"So far, nothing. We tried everywhere abnormal around town." Hunter comments as he pulled out the scroll.
"That occult shop, the library, and even that place called "Hot Topic."" Gus said.
"And you didn't bring, Amity?" Luz asked, pointing to her girlfriend. "Hot topic has her name written all over it."
'What sort of abomination is this store?' Yamato asked from Luz's memories.
'I told you so.' Rebellion said with a "grin."
"Again, what is Hot Topic?" Amity asked.
"It's a store for people our age, and typically for people that like to go against society... and gays." Luz answers.
'Aka, perfect for you, Pinky.' Rebellion said to Amity.
"I see. I guess I'll have to go there with you someday." Amity said.
"Oh you definitely have to. It is very cool." Luz said before refocusing. "Anyway, let me see the scroll. Maybe I can figure it out if it's a puzzle."
Walking to Hunter, Luz grabbed the scroll and looked at it.
'Hmmmm, interesting.' Luz thought.
'It appears to be some sort of puzzle or a map.' Yamato said, looking through Luz's eyes. 'I haven't seen something like this in a long time.'
'You know what this is?' Luz thought in surprise.
'I do.' Yamato said. 'It's a rebis, a puzzle using pictures to hold a message.'
'Really?' Luz thought before looking up to her friends.
"I think I know what this is. I did a project on it once, it's rebis. A puzzle using pictures to hold or tell a message." Luz said, lying to tell them Yamato's words.
'Thank you.' Luz thought quickly to her sword.
"Do you know what it says?" Willow asked.
"I'll try but it's been a while since I've seen something like this." Luz said, looking back down at the rebis.
'Yamato, a little help?' Luz thought.
'Give me a minute.' Yamato said, looking over it.
Using Luz's eyes again, Yamato looked over the top of the scroll to see a picture of an eye in a diamond next to a the letter H and an ear on another diamond.
'Hmm, the top of it says "Look here" with the eye and the H next to the ear.' Yamato explained. 'It's like a treasure, leading you somewhere.'
"Hmm... so this is a map, now where is it leading?" Luz said.
Amity looked over Luz's shoulder and saw the literal map below the first message but it was too old.
'Maybe we need to compare it to a current map.' Amity thought.
"Is there a map anywhere?" Amity asked, "I want to test something."
"I think there's one over here." Vee said, walking over of a table.
Amity took the rebis as Vee came back with a map, laying it down in the table coffee table as Amity laid the rebis against the map.
'Alright, comparing this old map to a more current one.' Amity thought as she began tracing her finger on the newer map while gazing at the old one.
"The map says something should be right…………here." Amity said, pointing a place in the forest.
"Wait, that place. Is that...the old graveyard?" Luz asked, leaning closer. "That place has been abandoned for years after it became flooded."
'But it would be the perfect place to hide something, even before it was flooded.' Yamato pointed out.
"Okay, so we got two parts of the rebis solved. Now we just need to figure out this part." Vee said as she pointed to the last bit of the rebis.
"Huh, there must be something we're missing." Vee said, rubbing her chin.
"Hmmm, this last part looks like a a tied ribbon, a hand with a drop of blood coming out, and some sort of tear." Gus said, pointing at the trio of pictures.
"What could it mean though?" Hunter asked.
Amity rubbed her chin as she looked closer at the image.
"Tie…Tie." She repeated before looking at the hand image. "Tie hand. Tie hand?"
"No, that can't be it." Willow said.
"Tie hand and this is a drop of blood, I think?" Luz asked, pointing between the tied bow and hand with the drop of blood next to it. "Tie hand blood?"
A spark went off in her mind as Luz's eyes widened when she realized it.
'Oh my god, it's a fucking play on words!' Luz thought in shock and awe!
"Tie Hand blood! Tie hand blood! Titan's Blood! It's a scrambled, rephrasing of Titan's Blood!" Luz shouted with the biggest grin she's had in months!
"What!?" Everyone shouted in shock.
"Think about it! What else could be hidden with something as old as this?" Luz asked with excitement.
'After all this time, after so many dead ends! We finally have a way back!' Luz thought with a wide grin.
She saw her friends were slowly getting it too, gaining looks of shock and awe as they knew what this could mean.
"Well, what are we waiting for?! Let's go!" Luz shouted before she rushed to the door until Hunter and Gus pulled her back, stopping her.
"Hold on, Luz! We get you're excited but we can't rush off to get it yet." Hunter said.
"No matter how much we want to, we still need to properly plan to get it." Gus said to her.
Realizing they were right, Luz took a deep breath as they let go of her.
"Sorry, just... really want to get back." Luz said, calming down.
'See? They are only in your-'
'SHUT UP!' Luz thoughts loudly to Yamato.
Once again, Yamato felt "his" revival decrease as he lost a little bit more of Luz's trust.
"So we should plan then?" Luz asked.
"My thoughts exactly." Amity said with a smile to Luz. "Before you know it, we'll be back home and stopping Collector."
'With me by your side, kid, there's nothing you can't do.' Rebellion said to Amity, feeling their bond grow stronger. 'Should be interesting too.'
