Magic Space Sheild Activate! i cry as i press another button on my magical bike's console as i reach the Earth's atmosphere. Suddenly a roof-like cover comes over me for protection as the sound of rockets could still be heard. Yes, i had a spacesuit on but that wouldn't be enough to protect me in space. My magical motorbike was now looking like a mini space-ship as the sky was beginning to go from light to dark.
MMB (Magical Motorbike) Intercom: You have left Earth's atmosphere, we will be arriving in space shortly. Please make sure to keep seat-belted at all times until the seat-belt sign is switched off.
Ooooo how exciting! The sky got darker and darker and stars began to appear. I played with the console again to calm the rockets down and to slow myself down. Now i was just metres away from The Hubble Space Telescope.
MMB Intercom: You have arrived at your distination, welcome to Outer Space! The current time is ... and the weather is ... enjoy your visit!
Great thank you MMB Intercom, i say out loud before i turn the engines off and the seat-belt sign turns off. I was now in outer space obiting around the Earth, looking down at our beautiful planet. It was so beautiful, the colours, its beauty certainlly a view i never get sick off. It hadn't changed a bit since i was last here. As i sit in my mini ship, I begin to sing:
For here
Am I sitting in a tin can
Far above the world
Planet Earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do!
Of course there was not nothing i can do! I'm The Frizz! The Frizz was a nickname my kids gave to me when i was back teaching as an Elementry School Teacher. For a while i didn't like it but then i grow to embrace it. Shortly after i turn the gravity button on (so i don't being to float and have the same gravity as Earth) and I open the MMB's glovebox, to get my camera to take a picture of the Earth, i notice something particular coming from Earth!
It was a rather bizarre object! It didn't look like a spaceship or space junk or a satellite but a 1950's English Police Telephone Box!?. I unbuckled my full body seat-belt to take a closer look out the windscreen. It was moving at a rapid speed, spinning away getting bigger as it got closer. I had never seen anything quite like it, well certainly not up here in outa-space!
Had i travelled back in time? i had to asked myself as i look down at the MMB's console and thankfully the date and year (Earth Time) were all current. So why was a 1950's English Police Telephone Box flying through space? I had no idea but i was eager to find out. My heart was pounding inside my spacesuit. I buckle myself up and begin to press some buttons to operate MMB. The sound of rockets begin to fire up and i take hold of the sterring wheel. 3, 2, 1, Time for a real adventure!
The police box was moving at a rapid speed, so i gained speed as well. Maybe it was heading to the moon or Mars? As i managed to track it on MMB's console, i begin to notice something strange. I look up and notice we were not going to the moon or mars but by passing all the planets of our universe, leaving our solar system!. Then i came to mind that this box was no ordinary box! Could this police box be magic too? Should i be concerned or should i be excited?.
It was too late my concerns were quickly melting away and my adventurous instincts where kicking in even more so. Earth was now a tiny star along with the other planets and the sun, almost disappearing before my eyes. Even MMB was confused as to where it was but it wasn't long until i hear a bing. It was coming from MMB's console. I tap the screen and it announced "New Data Found! New Data Found! Download now!". Being the person i am of course i tapped for New Data!
An i-glass appeared on the screen with a green background, it wasn't long until it magically knew where we were.
MMB Intercom: Thank you for downloading! You are now leaving Solar System and Milky Way, new unverises, stars and planets lie ahead!
New universes, stars and planets lie ahead what a treat! We must have travelled ever so far and all in one day. Anything is possible when you have a Magical Motorbike in toe.
As i continued to follow the police box, the MMB intercom didn't disappoint, new planets, stars and universes began to appear. The intercom was even picking up their names. What a discovery but i had to slap myself in order to keep focussed. Those later! Police Box first!. Finally the police box began to slow down towards a yellow, orangy star with rings of what looked like asteroids around it.
MMB Intercom: Welcome to the Rings of Akhaten, disend to Alien Planet or by pass?
Alien planet? Wow i must be outside our Solar Sytem! I tap disend without any argument. The seat-belt sign went on but don't worry i was already strapped in tightly and began to prepare for landing. What a bizzare place. The alien planet was obitting around this gigantic ball of fire, just like our sun that was supposedly the Rings of Akhaten. Hang on was that a pyramid i just saw?
I look down at the console to see if it had any readings of what this mysterious pyramid was obitting around the huge sun and i see that the name of it was "The Pyamid of the Rings of Akhaten". Ok then! I wonder if we have any infomation on it. As i go to tap the console again, the MMB Itercom interuptted and informed me that we were about to land. Oh well, i'll just have to check it out later! i said to myself.
I steer MMB and aim for somewhere to land on this alien planet. As i desend and dodge the asteroids, i see ancient looking buildings almost like ruins and lights but i couldn't spot the Police Box. This planet certainlly wasn't unoccupied! This made me a little nervous, who knows what things or creatures occupy this planet! Is this a safe planet to land on?. I spot a place to land outside what looked like almost a little town and gentley land.
MMB Intercom: You have successfully landed on the Alien Planet. Local time is 5pm in the afternoon, temperture is balmy! Hope you enjoy your day, oh and Frizz no need for that spacesuit!
Suddenly, i look down to find that my spacesuit & helmet had disappeared and my normal clothes had reappeared. I was confused, wouldn't i need my spacesuit to help me breathe on this planet? i say as i undid my seat belt as the seatbelt sign had switched itself off. Then the MMB Intercom began speaking again.
MMB Intercom: The oxygen levels here are the same as our Earth. Its atmosphere has a mixture of gases helping those who occupy this planet to breathe including planets & animals.
Well ok then! Time to explore this planet! I press a button which opened the ceiling of MMB (switch was still in the form of a mini spaceship) and climbed out. I then took out a key and pressed a button on there to make MMB become its orginal form again. Very good! Don't worry MMB i'll be back soon! i say to it before i set off to explore this interesting world.
As i begin to walk around and my instincts were telling me that i was certainly not alone on this planet. I start to see what looked like other space shuttles and even what looked like UFO'S silently parked around just outside the town that i was heading for. Instead of feeling nervous, i was getting excited! Was i about to come across some undiscovered aliens?.
Authors Note: Hi All, thank you for reading. Just wanted to help you guys answer some questions you might have about this chapter. The song that Valerie is singing is from a song called Space Oddity from singer David Bowie. I made up the time and weather for the alien planet. I also made up the oxygen thing for the planet as i couldn't find anywhere on Dr Who sites where it explains why some times the characters can breath without the aid of spacesuits. Most likely with the aid from the TARDIS! If someone has found that bit of information, i would love to know!
