C3: Ebonisa Scroogeman-(Part 2)

Inside her dressing-room, Ebony sat in a black rolling-chair at her make-up table that had a heart-shaped mirror with lights on it, smoking a cigarette with a long red cigarette-holder, with her mocha resting on the table.

Blair entered inside the dressing-room and closed the door. "Ebony." She said as she walked up to Ebony from behind.

"These people have no idea how to treat the leader of their state." Ebony said.

"You're the one who agreed to do a Christmas music video at the children's shelter." Blair said.

"To make more money. Christmas is a marketing machine we cannot ignore." Ebony said.

"I understand that, but when you're squeezing a video shoot during the week of Christmas, it gets a little bit-"

"For what we're paying them, they can accommodate a few simple requests." Ebony said, cutting Blair off.

There was a knock at the door.

"Great. Now what?!" Ebony said.

The door opened, revealing Snowmella Queen Freeze, the mayor of Christmas Town/Snowville, as she entered inside and closed the door. She was middle-aged, had pale skin, white hair that went past her shoulders and stopped at her upper-back, and she had blue eyes. She wore white lipstick, white gloves with long white sharp finger-nails, white eyeshadow that went up to her eyebrows, white eyeliner on her bottom eyelids, a white calf-length skirt-suit, white stockings and white high heel shoes, and she held in her left hand a white stick with a big white glitter snowflake on it-better known as her snowflake staff. It looked like a wand. "It's me, Snowmella Freeze. Can i come in?" She said with her british accented voice before entering inside the dressing-room and closing the door. Snowmella was originally from U.K. London-England, but transferred here to the U.S. in December-1997. "Blair."

"Mayor Freeze." Blair said, turning to face Snowmella. "You know, uh, paychecks were late again this week."

"Yeah. We had to shuffle a couple of things around." Snowmella said before Blair walked off. The white-haired mayor walked up to Ebony from behind. "We're short again, Ebony."

"How can that be?" Ebony asked.

"I don't know, i'll look into it." Snowmella said.

"Hmm." Ebony said.

"You know how money is. One minute it's there and the next-"

"Wait." Ebony said, cutting Snowmella off. "I've got an idea." She said before turning in her rolling-chair to face Blair. "We'll have a Christmas sale at the mall."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa." Blair said, turning to Ebony. "What? When, where?"

"Christmas day. 10:00 o'clock in the morning." Ebony said.

"And since when do you care about Christmas?" Blair asked.

"A Christmas sale would promote the holiday even more. Get a lot of good press." Ebony said.

"So you're talking about, like, a charity sale?" Blair asked.

"Hmm..." Ebony said.

"Just think of the write-off." Snowmella said.

"A charity sale. Yeah. But, uh...exclusive, intimate. Intimate setting." Ebony said before looking at Snowmella. "Charge a fortune for the Christmas merchandise. The commoners will pay anything for a little holiday cheer."

"Okay. And who would it benefit?" Blair said.

"The kids poor-house. Yeah, it could be a children sale." Ebony said.

"It's called the "Snowville Kids Shelter"." Blair corrected. "As for the sale, you can't have it on Christmas day."

"Oh? And why not?" Ebony asked.

"We're off Christmas day. Everyone in town is." Blair explained.

"Not everyone who works for me." Ebony said.

"Which is every adult in the state of Michigan who has a job." Snowmella added. During the final days of 1998--after Christmas--Ebony had merged the state of Michigan into a one government system with help from the United Nations, establishing ownership of all of the state's societies and adding her last name, Scroogeman, to all of the businesses, so everyone with jobs in Michigan now worked for her...thus making money for her and only her. She had aslo changed the name of the community from Christmas Town to Snowville on New Year's Eve of '98. It had been like that for the last 26 years. Ebony had been governor. Normally, a candidate could only remain in office for four years, but Ebony had ran a second time and won. She had only been able to stay to governor of Michigan for 26 years due to political manipulation on Snowmella's part. This was also how Snowmella remained in office as mayor of Snowville for so long as well. Plus everyone in town was too afraid of her and Ebony to run up against them for their poisitions.

"But people wanna be home and spend Christmas with their families and friends." Blair protested.

"They've got the rest of December off." Snowmella said.

"You can't do this!" Blair said.

"Well, i just did! And if you ever raise your voice to me again, you will find yourself without a job or a place to live in this town or anywhere else in the state of Michigan! Do you understand that!" Ebony said.

"Yes." Blair said.

"Yes what?" Ebony asked.

"Yes, Governor." Blair said.

"That's right. You address me by my title. Now then...as i was saying...the sale will happen on Christmas morning." Ebony said.

"And how am i suppose to tell the staff that there's no Christmas break?" Blair asked.

"I'm sure you'll think of something." Ebony said, with a smile on her face.

"(Sighs)." Blair sighed before leaving out of the dressing-room, closing the door behind her.

"Ebony...does any of this money actually go to charity?" Snowmella asked curiously.

"Absolutely. I wanna see a giant picture of me on every billboard in the state of Michigan." Ebony said, smirking.

"That's what i like to hear." Snowmella said, a smirk on her face as well.
