C5: Christmas-1996.

December 25th, Christmas-(1996)

In the living-room of the Book cabin, 6-year old James "Jamie" Baxter Book sat by the tree in his pajamas with his parents, 36-year old Ebony and 37-year old Drake Book, as he opened his presents on Christmas morning, with the song 'CHESTNUTS ROASTING ON AN OPEN FIRE' playing on a 1920s gramophone on a dresser and Drake filming Jamie with his camcorder as the kid opened his presents.

Drake had black hair and brown eyes and Ebony's brown hair went past her shoulders and stopped at her upper-back.

Jamie had brown hair, he wore a red long sleeve button-up pajama shirt, red pajama pants and white socks.

"Okay. Joke's over. I know it's here somewhere." Jamie said.

"No, honey...it's not." Ebony said. "These are all your gifts."

"I...tried to get a Playstation for you. I looked everywhere, but...they were sold out." Drake explained. "I'm sorry."

"It's okay." Jamie assured.

"No, it's not. I get how much you wanted one." Drake said.

"You tried. You and Mom always say that's what matters. And i love everything else you got me, i really do. Thanks, Dad." Jamie said.

"You're welcome, Jamie." Drake said.

"Jamie," Ebony began as she stood up. "Let's get some plates so we can have some glazed ham and red velvet cake, huh?"

Jamie stood up. "For breakfast?"

"It's Christmas. All nutritional bets are off. I'll be right there." Ebony said.

Jamie then went over to the knobless push-open dining-room door, pushed it open and went inside to head for the kitchen.

...

A few minutes later, Ebony and Jamie exited the dining-room through the push-open door, re-entering the living-room, each of them carrying a red plate with glazed ham, red velvet cake and a fork.

Drake was sitting on the sofa, holding his camcorder, with a red wrapped square present on the coffee-table in front of him, with a big red bow on top.

"What's that?" Jamie asked as he and Ebony went over to the sofa where Drake was, and Ebony sat down by her husband on the right.

Drake resumed filming Jamie and Ebony. with his camcorder. "There was one more present...after all."

"You guys were pranking me?" Jamie asked before putting his plate on the coffee-table and began opening the present while Drake filmed him. The boy soon tore all of the wrapping-paper off the present, revealing it to be the Playstation he had wanted for Christmas. His face lit up with excitement. "Oh, my gosh, the is awesome, i could explode!"

"Don't." Ebony said.

"Thank you." Jamie said, smiling warmly at his Dad.
