Jimmy woke up early, the morning sun casting long shadows through his bedroom window. His alarm clock blared, but he turned it off with a quick, irritated swipe. Gone were the days when he eagerly anticipated heading to his lab for new experiments. Now, his mornings had a different purpose.
He dressed quickly, choosing dark, nondescript clothes that matched his mood. As he looked at himself in the mirror, his reflection seemed almost like a stranger's. His eyes were colder, his expression harder. he smirked, feeling the power coursing through him. He grabbed his backpack, not filled with textbooks and invention blueprints, but with items meant for a different kind of task.
Descending the stairs, he greeted his mother with a brief nod, ignoring her concerned look. "Jimmy, are you okay?" she asked, her voice full of worry
"Fine, Mom. Just got a busy day ahead," he replied curtly, brushing past her and heading out the door
And while he was walking, smiling comfortably, completely forgetting about Sheen, suddenly two naughty children skating bumped into him and one of them said, "Watch where you're walking, big head"
Jimmy was startled and before the two boys could run away he stomped his foot on the ground and it cracked into pieces then he picked up a big one and threw it at one of the boys causing them both to bump into each other Jimmy couldn't help but laugh and spat in their faces and continued on his way.
School
As soon as Jimmy arrived at school, he could feel the eyes of his classmates on him. They whispered and pointed, some snickering behind his back. He saw Carl who looked at him with a mixture of worry and fear.
Walking down the hallway, he passed by a group of boys who had made a habit of mocking him. Today, they had decided to up their game, throwing eggs at him as he walked by. The eggs splattered against his shirt and face, but Jimmy didn't flinch.
"Nice looking, Neutron!" sneered one of the boys . Magot.
Jimmy wiped the egg off his face, his expression remaining eerily calm. he said slowly, his voice dripping with sarcasm, "Maggot, is this really the best you can do? Throwing eggs? Pathetic"
The boys laughed, but their amusement quickly turned to confusion when Jimmy's eyes darkened. He raised his hand, and a dark aura of power appeared around him. Suddenly, the boys rose to their feet, hovering in the air.
"You think this is funny?" Jimmy continued, his voice low and menacing. "Let's see how funny it is when you're the joke"
He released them, letting them drop to the ground. They scrambled away, fear etched on their faces. Jimmy watched them go, feeling a twisted satisfaction.
Cindy was absent from school because she had a bad fever and wondered why Jimmy hadn't come to visit or at least ask about her.
In the afternoon, during gym class, another group of boys, including "Sarbon" decided to target him with dodgeballs. They aimed at him relentlessly, hoping to humiliate him.
Jimmy dodged their throws effortlessly, his movements almost inhumanly swift. When he caught a ball, he held it, staring down "Sarbon" "You want to play games, Sarbon?, take this"
He threw the ball back with a force that sent "Sarbon" sprawling to the ground. The other boys hesitated, unsure whether to continue. Jimmy's presence alone was enough to make them back off.
Carl was sitting next to Libby and started whispering in her ear "Now do you believe me? I told you, Libby, that Jimmy was not being nice at all today"
Libby replied, examining Jimmy's mischievous smile "Well, Jimmy seems to be getting a little rougher and Cindy is sick and Sheen is still missing, great!" Libby
As he walked past, Libby called out, "Hey, Jimmy! You look... different today. Everything okay?"
Jimmy turned to face her, a cold smirk playing on his lips. "Why wouldn't I be, Libby? Everything's just... perfect."
Carl, sensing the change in Jimmy's demeanor, nervously adjusted his glasses. "Uh, Jimmy, have you heard anything about Sheen? Are you still looking for him?"
Jimmy's eyes flashed with irritation. "I'm tired of it why do I have to waste my time on it"
Libby and Carl exchanged uneasy glances. Libby tried to steer the conversation to a more familiar topic. "Your girlfriend isn't feeling well today, Jimmy. Why don't you go visit her?"
Jimmy's smirk disappeared, replaced by a cold, piercing stare. "Ugh, She is not my girlfriend so Forget it. Vortex can handle her own problems" At this moment, Jimmy tries to expel the evil Jimmy from his body, but he fails "Hey, is Cindy okay? No!.. I... why should I care about this poor cow, she deserves worse"
Libby frowned, taking a step back "Jimmy, This is not you, Didn't you agree to have Cindy as your girlfriend?. What's going on?"
Jimmy's expression darkened, and he took a step closer to Libby, his voice dripping with malice. "I changed my mind. Maybe you should mind your own business, Libby. And Carl, if you can't keep up, don't bother trying to stick around"
Carl gulped, his face paling. "J-Jimmy, we're just worried about you"
Jimmy laughed, a sound devoid of any warmth. "Worried about me? You should be more worried about yourselves"
Libby and Carl stood there, stunned into silence by the sinister edge in Jimmy's voice. The bell rang, signaling the start of gym class, but neither of them moved, too shaken by the encounter.
As the class began, Jimmy's performance was precise and calculated, his movements sharp and aggressive. He outpaced everyone in every activity, but there was no joy in his achievements—only a relentless, almost mechanical determination. Although he was never an athlete before.
Libby whispered to Carl, "I hope Jimmy is just acting because if he was so serious about what he said Cindy wouldn't like that at all"
Carl shook his head, his eyes wide with fear. "I don't know, Libby. I just, I saw him in the middle of the day yesterday writhing in pain with a dark aura surrounding him and he looked like he had just had a fierce fight with some villain. I wanted to ask him but he just told me to get away from him without another word"
Throughout the class, Jimmy continued to excel, his presence intimidating those around him. When it was over, he walked away without a word, leaving Libby and Carl to grapple with the unsettling transformation they had witnessed.
As Jimmy left the gym, he felt a dark satisfaction. He no longer cared about the things that used to matter. Friends, relationships, they were all distractions. His mind was now focused on power and control, and anyone who got in his way would regret it.
Jimmy continues to respond harshly and unexpectedly to anyone who dares to make fun of him for a few days to the point that even Butch can no longer stand up to Jimmy for seconds. Jimmy has become so powerful that sometimes when he gets bored he starts to tease some of the boys he still hates. Jimmy has become toxic and mean like Cindy. All this and even now Jimmy's good side is still struggling to expel Evil Jimmy from his control.
After 5 days, Cindy was fine but she had no idea about Jimmy and even Libby didn't tell her because she was too hesitant and afraid of disappointing Cindy over Jimmy, she just waited until she found out for herself.
Candy Bar
Carl mustered up his courage and decided to treat Jimmy as if nothing had changed in him. He asked him to meet him at Candy Bar.
Jimmy entered the Candy Bar and headed over to where Carl was waiting for him sitting, but his eyes were scanning every child in the place, and when he sat down next to Carl, he was still staring at them with disgust.
Carl took a deep breath and decided to take a different approach. "Hey Jimmy! Remember when we used to come here all the time? Those were good times, right?" he said, forcing a cheerful tone.
Jimmy replied, staring angrily at Sam "Yes, Carlyn. Why would I forget that?" he replied, his voice lacking its usual harsh edge.
Carl took advantage of the moment. "uh, You know, they brought back our favorite ice cream flavor. Want to share an ice cream like the old days?"
Jimmy's expression softened a bit. "Sure, why not? Ha And with that, a dirty memory of mine has come back too," he said, though the hesitation in his voice was still evident.
As they waited for their sundae, Carl kept the conversation light and reminiscent. "Remember that time you invented that bubble gum that made us float? We almost ended up on the school roof!" Carl chuckled, hoping to elicit a similar reaction from Jimmy.
Jimmy smiled wryly, the memory momentarily flashing through his dark demeanor. "and then we had to explain to Mrs. Quack why we were stuck in the tree, damn Vortex how awful she was back then with a crush on Nick the Eunuch," he said, a hint of amusement in his voice.
Their ice cream arrived, and Carl eagerly ate it, hoping Jimmy would follow suit. "uh yeah, I know how much you hated her before but man, everyone change (nervous laugh) uh- you know when they realize how awful they are"
Jimmy took a spoon, lowering his guard a little. "I guess so, But in the end every bad person has to pay for their mistakes, right?"
"But…...but…I thought you forgave her, you two became a couple…I mean" Carl took a deep breath, deciding to gently broach the subject that was on his mind. "Jimmy, I know things have been…different lately. But no matter what, you're still my best friend. If you ever need to talk or if there's anything I can do, I'm here for you. But what about our friend Sheen? Aren't you worried about him?"
Jimmy's eyes flashed with a mix of emotions. For a moment, it looked like the evil Jimmy was losing control, but then the coldness returned. "I miss Sheen but I'm not supposed to because it's not my fault, what? Is there a trial here?"
Carl nodded, not wanting to pressure you too much. "I understand. Just remember that we're all here for you. Me, Libby, Cindy, and even Sheen when he gets back"
Jimmy clenched his fists when Carl mentioned Cindy, but he managed to keep his composure. "Yeah, I know," he said, his tone calmer than before.
They continued eating their sundae in relative silence, the atmosphere less tense than it had been. Carl could see that reaching good Jimmy would take time and patience, but he was determined to be there for his friend every step of the way.
When they were done, Carl paid the bill and turned to Jimmy with a sincere smile. "Thank you for coming, Jimmy, my friend. I know there is still good in you" Carl's words affected Jimmy's evil side and he began to lose control.
Jimmy nodded, trembling and a nervous smile emerging. "Thank you, Carl, disgusting just leave me alone"
They left the candy store together. Carl hoped that with time and persistence, he would be able to help Jimmy get back to normal. But Jimmy turned around and gave the boys a dirty look and an evil smile appeared on his face.
Jimmy clenched his fists, feeling the dark power surge through his veins. The boys who had tormented him were now lounging near the arcade machines, completely unaware of the storm about to hit them. Jimmy took a deep breath and stepped forward, his eyes glowing with a sinister light. That day he confessed to Cindy that he loved her and she threw ice cream in his face and most of the kids who laughed at him are here now.
Without a word, Jimmy raised his hand. Dark energy began to swirl around his fingers, some of the boys stared at him strangely. The arcade machines flickered, and the lights dimmed as the energy shifted in the room.
"What's going on?" one of the boys asked, his voice trembling
Jimmy smiled sarcastically and evil, his eyes narrowing and blazing. "You think it's funny that you make fun of my feelings? And you thought I was over it, you idiots." His voice was low and threatening, each word dripping with venom.
The kids started to back away, but it was too late. With a flick of his wrist, Jimmy sent a wave of dark energy crashing into them. He began shooting lasers from his eyes "Do you think you can just laugh at me and get away with it?" Jimmy's voice echoed through the candy bar. "You have no idea what I'm capable of." Some were seriously injured, some managed to escape because Jimmy didn't hold a grudge against them. Sam was going to call the police but Jimmy shot him with a laser and knocked him out.
One of the boys, trembling, managed to get to his feet. "We're sorry, Jimmy! We didn't mean it!" he pleaded. But Jimmy was beyond reason and kept staring evil. He raised his hand again, ready to unleash another wave of power, when a familiar voice called out.
"Jimmy, stop!"
He turned to see Carl standing in the doorway, looking so weak and sad and pleading, "This isn't you, Jimmy. Don't be spiteful like stupid villains. Please stop"
Jimmy's inner conflict was evident, the struggle between his good and evil sides tearing him apart. He clenched his fists, trying to hold on to the darkness, but Carl was beginning to affect him and penetrate him.
With a final shuddering breath, Jimmy let the dark energy dissipate completely. He headed for the door and left Candy Bar without another word. Carl then immediately told Libby everything that had happened and they could no longer stand Jimmy's mysterious evil personality.
School - Afternoon
"I don't get it, Carl," she said, her voice shaking slightly. "Jimmy was always a nice kid. Do you think he's just pretending to be so to gain some respect?"
Carl sighed deeply, rubbing the back of his neck as he thought. "I don't know, Libby. If he's pretending to be, he's very professional, but I don't know how that has anything to do with him having a dark destructive power"
Libby nodded "I keep thinking back, trying to find some clue, some hint we missed. The last time he was nice and normal was When we talked about Sheen's mysterious disappearance. And when we left Candy Bar Weren't you there with him then?"
Carl frowned, remembering the incident. "No, but I remember when I met him again he was unusually calm, and when I asked him what happened, he just brushed it off. It was like he was cursed by some evil, and I heard explosions in the distance before I found him alone"
"Do you think something happened to him?" Libby asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
"It's possible," Carl replied, a note of frustration in his voice. "But Jimmy's always been honest with us. If something had happened, why wouldn't he tell us?"
"Libby bit her lip. looked at Jimmy who was sitting alone in the schoolyard. "Jimmy always let us know right away when he attacked the gang of villains. He must have been cursed and changed his personality" Suddenly a red flame appeared in Jimmy's eyes and he disappeared, which really confirmed Libby's theory.
"Yeah, Jimmy is cursed, Something is wrong with him" Libby said then walked over to Jimmy
And before Libby could even open her mouth, "You shouldn't have come here. Leave me alone" Jimmy said angrily, his voice deep and unnaturally resonant.
Libby stepped forward. "No, Jimmy you're not being yourself. Just tell us what's going on and let us help you"
Jimmy's laughter sent a shiver down their spines. He then growled angrily, "You can't help me. Nothing happened, I'm fine"
Carl stepped forward, his voice firm "We won't abandon you, Jimmy. Where did you get that strange dark power?"
Jimmy replied with an evil smile and raised his hand, a dark aura with a red glow appeared on it. "You mean this? What? Do you want to taste some? Leave, while you still can"
Crall and Libby retreated in terror "What about Cindy? Jimmy, are you really going to give her up? Tell me why?" Libby
He raised his hand towards Libby and the aura began to glow more and he spoke threateningly "I don't care!, Now! leave me alone unless you'd rather die with your friend"
Libyan sadly and tears began to form in her eyes "Cindy loved you so much that her crush on Nick faded and she dumped Timmy too, Jimmy please, since your first date Cindy has seemed happier than ever before"
Libby's words hung in the air, echoing in Jimmy's mind. For a moment, the cold malice in his eyes flickered, revealing a glimmer of the Jimmy they once knew. He clenched his fists, trying to suppress the dark power surging through him.
"Cindy…" he muttered, his voice trembling
Libby took a step closer, sensing the small crack in his facade " Jimmy. Please I don't want to see disappointment on her face"
Jimmy's body convulsed as the internal battle between his good and evil sides raged on. He doubled over, clutching his head. "No… I can't… I'm supposed to hate her.…" His voice shifted from his normal tone to a deep, sinister growl, then back again.
Carl and Libby watched in a mix of fear and hope. "You can fight this, Jimmy! We believe in you!" Carl shouted
"Jimmy's eyes darted between his friends and the ground. "I… C..Cindy is my girlfriend… No!… I hate her…Get away from me" He fell to his knees, the dark aura around him violently churning.
Libby knelt beside him, placing a hand on his shoulder "We're here for you, Jimmy. Together, we can help you overcome this."
Jimmy's expression softened, but then twisted into a snarl as the evil side regained control. He pushed Libby away with a burst of dark energy. "Stay back!" he roared, his eyes glowing red.
Libby stumbled but quickly regained her balance. "No!, Jimmy, Fight him, The past is the past. Don't let your toxic memories of her control you."
The struggle within him became more intense. He writhed on the ground, torn between the two conflicting forces. The dark aura and his normal self fought for dominance, each gaining and losing control in rapid succession.
Libby's words continued to echo in his mind, weakening the evil influence just enough for Jimmy's true self to resurface momentarily. "Cindy… I… I love her…" he whispered, tears streaming down his face.
"Hold on to that, Jimmy!" Carl urged. "Remember, Cindy is your girlfriend now"
Jimmy screamed in agony, the sound a horrifying blend of his normal voice and the deep growl of his dark side. His body convulsed violently, and he collapsed onto the ground, breathing heavily.
For a brief moment, it seemed like the darkness had been expelled. Jimmy looked up at Libby and Carl, his eyes filled with desperation. "Help me…"
Before they could respond, the dark aura surged back, enveloping Jimmy entirely. He stood up, his expression a cold mask of hatred. "You think you can save me? You're fools," the evil side sneered.
Libby and Carl exchanged a determined glance "We won't give up, Jimmy," Libby said firmly. "We're going to find a way to bring you back."
The evil side laughed mockingly "Never!, I will not be Cindy's Boyfriend, Fu! I will not forgive her for all the insults and mockery I received from her"
"We'll find a way" Carl said, determination in his voice. "We'll get our friend back"
Jimmy knew Libby was going to tell him more about Cindy so he ran away "Leave me alone"
Unfortunately Cindy was fine today and just came in.
