Chapter 2
5 AM
It could have been a whole other stressful thing with what happened to Beverly, better known as "B". A silent young man who had amazing intelligence and ingenuity when it came to technology. There's no doubt that with some years of studying and proper funding, B could be an integral part of society's future with technology.
6 AM
Too bad he got fired.
YAY!
That sound effect did nothing to cure his mood either.
'Stupid pink slip.' B thought as he read it.
NOTICE OF TERMINATION
(You're fired)
REASON: Tampering with animatronics. General unprofessionalism. Odor
B rolled his eyes as he remembered that this was the crappy ending to the indie game that spawned a whole massive story. He sighed as he grabbed his equipment and memory card before walking out of the office. He looked at the animatronics who either looked sheepish or somewhat depressed.
Chika just patted B's shoulder while Bonnie helped him with his stuff. Even Freddy had the decency to remove his hat while Foxy opened the door to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. B smiled and nodded at the animatronics as he went outside and saw the portal opening up with his memory card out.
B looked back at the animatronics that stared back at him from the windows of the door. He gave them another wave and smiled as they waved back. All trying to smile back to the best of their limited abilities. B then looked back and walked through the portal as his memory card saved everything.
Then the bright flash consumed him as he found his way back home.
Reality
B let out a loud yawn as he got up from bed. He looked around and felt a small migraine as he recalled completing the extra nights on FNAF. He wondered if this was the end or if there was more. Then again, there is also the chance he could be sent to the sequel game.
'Whatever happens, I don't regret anything. I hope the kids are fine, even if they are just virtual programs.' B thought as he sat up. 'I wonder how Crimson and Naruto are doing.' He wondered.
With Crimson
The goth girl was not having a good time. Alessa had transformed into Samael/Incubus and was now trying to kill her and Harry with Lightning bolts. Which only appeared when Michael Kaufmann threw the red liquid at her. After Kaufmann was knocked out, the demon shot it's lightning at Dahlia and killed her instantly.
"You know, I wanna say this was a mistake, but I know this is how it's supposed to end." Crimson said.
"I do not understand what you are saying." Harry said.
Both continued to run laps around the Incubus as it continued to fire lightning on them.
"Just forget it, just keep shooting the demon." Crimson said.
"Sure, that is all we can do by this point." Harry replied.
The pair kept repeatedly shooting at the incubus until it had enough. Causing it to crash down and land on it's knees. Crimson kept her gun trained on the demon before watching it glitch violently until it was erased from existence.
"What the…!?" Crimson tried to ask.
"Is it gone?" Harry asked.
"I have no idea… crap!" Crimson cursed.
The whole place began to shake and burn down. Crimson began to feel nervous as she expected the good ending to occur. That's when another glitch appeared and a woman in white or gold clothes appeared with an infant child in her arms.
"Alessa?" Crimson asked.
She then noticed the woman beginning to fall apart and become corrupted. Not in the sense of becoming another demonic monstrosity. Rather, like a literal programming error that would give a person a different kind of nightmare.
"Harry, take the kid and get out!" Crimson ordered.
Harry nodded and gently took the child. If Crimson remembered correctly, that child is supposed to be Heather. The protagonist of the third Silent HIll game.
"Let's go!" Crimson said as she led Harry out of the nightmarish place.
"Wait, Cybil needs help!" Harry said.
Crimson turned and saw the police officer struggling to stand. Crimson sighed as she lifted Cybil over her shoulder.
"Just run!" Crimson commanded.
Harry ran towards the light with Crimson and Cybil following after him.
"Kid, you sure know a lot. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be suspicious or grateful." Cybil said.
"Don't worry about it." Crimson said as they escaped into the light.
Ignoring the fact that Kaufmann was screaming in the background as Lisa grabbed him from behind.
Once through the light, the trio moved their way across the blinding fog that was likely still a part of Silent Hill. Then they arrived at a wooded area and away from the fog.
"No one at the station will ever believe what happened." Cybil said.
Crimson just sighed and helped Cybil towards a tree so she could rest. Meanwhile, Harry was looking at the baby that would become Heather. Crimson looked at the baby and nodded.
"She's going to be a badass." Crimson said.
"I thank you for the help young lady, but do you mind keeping the cursing to a minimum?" Harry asked.
"Whatever, I'll be going now." Crimson said as she saw a portal to her room open up.
"Wait, will we see you again?" Harry asked.
Crimson shrugged, "Who knows Harry. Just don't ask if I have seen your daughter. She's literally in your hands." He said.
Harry just sighed but waved at the girl as she left. Crimson grabbed her memory card and moved back into reality.
'I wonder how Naruto and B are doing on their part.' Crimson thought.
With Naruto
"Prepare to die! Fortesque and company!" Zarok yelled.
Naruto and Dan were fighting the undead warriors summoned by Zarok and luckily for them. Dan used the grail they obtained from collecting all of the other grails. Which summoned and empowered a group of soldiers who died in the battle against Zarok when Dan died.
"What!? Aargh!" Zarok cursed.
The warriors of Gallowmere charged at Zarok's skeleton forces. When the evil wizard suddenly summoned a larger skeleton riding around on a horse's skeleton while waving around a flail.
"Dan, you help the boys! I'll take care of this thing!" Naruto yelled as he charged at the skeleton rider.
Just as Dan was about to say something. He heard Zarok speak up.
"Don't move a muscle, I mean a bone! I have the one spell that will crush you!" Zarok said as he came down. Then Dan heard something disturbing, "Wait, that's not the right spell! Argh!" He yelled.
Dan winced as he heard some pain filled sounds coming from Zarok. Who came out of a doorway looking like some kind of goat chimera.
"What is that?" Dan asked.
"Not my first choice, but prepare to meet your end!" Zarok exclaimed.
Dan narrowed his eyes as he rushed at Zarok while avoiding whips from Zarok's tail.
Meanwhile, the undead soldiers of Gallowmere looked inspired as they kept fighting.
"Sir Fortesque is leading the charge! Follow his example men!" A soldier yelled as his comrades cried out in support.
At the same time, Naruto climbed onto the skeleton rider's back and was repeatedly stabbing it with his sword.
"Why won't you die a second time you stupid glorified cowboy!?" Naruto asked/yelled.
The skeleton rider continued to run around wildly as his horse trampled his own allies. Naruto then started hacking his sword at the rider's neck. Just as the soldiers started climbing onto the horse.
"Support Sir Naruto!" One of the soldiers said.
The soldiers proceeded to stab the horse skeleton until it broke down and knocked down the rider. Naruto quickly recovered from the fall and impaled the rider, destroying him for good. He then faced the undead soldiers and nodded.
"You have done good. Your country would be proud of you." Naruto said.
The soldiers bowed their heads before crumbling to dust. Meanwhile, Dan finished off Zarok and watched as the wizard was turned back to normal. Except it looked like he was being a stubborn and sore loser.
"This is not the end. You think you have won? That you have defeated me this day? There are forces worse than I! Forces you will not see because I will entomb both you and your squire!" Zarok said as he stood up and unleashed his magical power.
Only for Naruto to sweep his leg and make the wizard fall face first into the ground.
"OW! How rude! You interrupted my monologue!" Zarok said angrily.
Naruto stole Zarok's staff and fired at Zarok who transformed into a frog.
"Is that it now?" Naruto asked.
"We could sell Zarok to the French." Dan suggested.
Suddenly, the entire building began to shake and fall apart. With a piece of debris falling on top of Zarok's frog form.
"I guess the French will have to wait." Naruto said.
The two then sprinted out of the building and saw the castle on the mountain beginning to crumble. As they made their escape, they saw the captured souls of Zarok return to Gallowmere. Where they hopefully either returned back to their graveyards or back to the citizens of Gallowmere who were possessed.
"Well isn't this a happy ending?" Naruto asked.
"Look out!" Dan warned as the ground broke under them.
The pair fell down the mountain before finding themselves somehow landing in the Hall of Heroes. Naruto groaned as he landed near the stairwell. As for Dan, he sat up and made sure he wasn't missing any other bones. But that's when they realized that they were not alone.
The statues in the hall became real people and were partying.
"Three cheers for Sir Daniel Fortesque and his Squire!" Canny Tim.
Everyone and even the most stubborn members of the hall clapped as the boys were spotted. Naruto chuckled and waved at the crowd while Dan eagerly jumped over the table and grabbed his chalice. Where he raised it for someone to pour wine into.
However, being a skeleton, the wine just fell down from his skull but at least the party was fun. There was music and dancing and Canny Tim was a good musician.
As everyone celebrated, Naruto took a swig of wine despite being underage. He just laughed it off as did Dan and the other heroes. When a portal to Naruto's room had begun to open up. Naruto and the heroes continued to celebrate when someone noticed it.
"Hey knabe, I think your portal is there." Karl Sturngard said.
Naruto put down his chalice and looked, "Oh seriously? Wait, this is the end of the game?" he asked.
"Game? What are you talking about?" Sturngard asked.
"Never mind, I guess I gotta go back again." Naruto said with a sigh.
Some of the heroes sighed and complained.
"Oi, we still have a party going on, what's the rush?" Sturngard asked.
"Be a man and drink another cup of ale, won't ya?" Dirk asked.
"He is still a child, let the little squire return. He earned his place here as Dan did." Megwynne Stormbinder said.
"Thanks guys, this was fun and all but Zarok is beat. Still, I wouldn't mind visiting this place just one more time." Naruto said.
Dan nodded, "You're always welcome, Naruto." he said as he raised his chalice.
"Bye guys." Naruto said as he stepped through the portal and took out his memory card.
The heroes waved at Naruto before the returned to reality.
In Naruto's Room
Naruto's eyes opened as a brief spark of purple electricity came out of his eyes. He gasped as he sat up and looked around.
"I guess that's the end of it." Naruto said as he sat up.
"Naruto, get dressed! You're going to be late!" Kushina said from behind.
"I'm going!" Naruto replied.
He let out a grunt as he stood up and stretched. He felt some aches on his body and it was no thanks to that stupid skeleton that he and the soldiers battled.
"I wonder how the superintendent will feel knowing I beat my game. I wonder if Crimson and B got any progress done." Naruto said.
Later, Integra's office
Integra smirked and wished she had a cigar to smoke. She looked at the three students and watched as they presented her with their memory cards.
"I see, you all completed the games you are in. Hopefully that slows down the crisis from this experiment." Integra said.
"It was pretty fun." Naruto admitted.
"But I'm guessing it's not over, is it?" Crimson asked.
"It is not, unfortunately. However, you three have proven yourselves but not assume you three alone are what my organization will rely on." Integra said.
Then Seras spoke up, "Or that this crisis is so small. It's affecting the east as well." she said, surprising the students.
"Seras! I did not want you to mention it that soon!" Integra said, raising her voice.
Seras winced, "Sorry ma'am, I thought it might be appropriate." she said.
Integra sighed, "Anyways, as Seras said, this experimental incident seems to be affecting America, parts of Europe and possibly Asia. My organization is already attempting to quell it from here and the east." she explained.
Luckily these three teens were too desensitized by what they saw. Otherwise this would be the part where they would go their separate ways and be mad or something. They weren't these three will disciplined children, but at least Integra was lucky that B was too smart, Crimson was mature for a goth and Naruto already knows how to behave thanks to Kushina.
So any concerns wouldn't be filled with screaming or other outbursts.
"Okay, this sounds scary and intense." Naruto said.
"And you want to opt out?" Integra asked with a raised brow.
"I mean, my brain says that it's best to run away but everything else wants to say go for it. Not like I have a choice right now." Crimson said.
"There's always a choice." Seras said.
"She has a point, but we're here now. We're the "true gamers" or whatever." Crimson said with B nodding in agreement.
Naruto sighed, "Okay, before we do anything else. Is there some other stuff we should know?" he asked.
"Well as I stated, there are other recruits in other portions of the country and Europe who managed to make progress on their own games. I doubt you will meet them unless others in this school or even the city appear in your dreams." Integra explained.
Now that made sense, there were way too many games to keep track of. Especially when just considering Playstation's library alone having so many games and that's assuming that other games from other consoles and PC won't appear either. B already got stuck in Five Nights at Freddy's despite recently being added to the PSN library.
"I think I would get tired trying to get through thousands of games by myself." Crimson said.
"Hopefully it doesn't come to that." Integra said. "For now, I suggest you continue your normal lives as students. Then prepare for another dream sequence. It may begin again today, tomorrow or even a week from now." she said.
"If you all have difficulty sleeping, I can prescribe some medication." Seras said cheerfully.
"And while she is at it. You will receive most of your updates from Seras as my position may distract me for most of the time." Integra said.
The trio nodded in response.
"Then you are dismissed. Seras, write them all a hall pass so they may return to their studies." Integra said.
"Already on it, ma'am." Seras said as she got the notepad.
Naruto rolled his eyes, 'And back to the boring reality of school.' he thought.
At lunch
As Naruto ate lunch with B, he looked at the Polygon Man keychain and noticed it was starting to lose its luster.
"Cheap products from overseas." Naruto commented.
B nodded as he understood how cheap and easy it was for a country such as China to make toy products. Unfortunately, the higher quantity of products does not increase the quality. Too bad really, the keychains looked nice and B also noticed his keychain started to look more white than purple as time passed.
"Hey B, if you could pick what game you could wake up in. Which one would you go to?" Naruto curiously asked.
B took a solid minute to think it over. Naruto snorted as he saw the face B made as it looked like he was doing quantum physics in his head. Another minute later, B wrote down some suggestions as to what might look suitable for him.

"Okay, some of those are pretty cool. Also, I never really played Timesplitters. It looked pretty fun though." Naruto commented.
B nodded and then gestured for Naruto to give his own answer to his own question.
"I wouldn't mind going to Crash Bandicoot or Spyro." Naruto said.
B gave him a weird look.
"They're classics and a fun little trip back to memory lane. Then again, if I had to pick any others. I would definitely have to say…" Naruto trailed off as Crimson arrived.
The goth girl slammed down her tray and buried her face against the table. The boys could only guess that Crimson was having a bad time with the fact that people were trying to get her and her boyfriend to join their club or sports team.
"I'm guessing the student body won't leave you alone?" Naruto asked.
Crimson groaned in response.
"Hey don't do that, B is our quiet guy and that makes him cool." Naruto said.
"How long until graduation?" Crimson asked.
B grabbed a napkin and did a quick variety of math formulas and wrote the time left until the set graduation date came. Somehow, from writing the amount of days left to the amount of hours and minutes did not help Crimson feel any better. Naruto sighed as he didn't like how long his days at this academy would last either.
"Hey, where's Ennui by the way?" Naruto asked.
"He tried looking for the least lamest club to join so people could leave him alone." Crimson answered.
"Godspeed Ennui." Naruto said with a salute.
B suddenly pulled out a trumpet and played Taps.
Later that day, with Naruto
Naruto sat down on his bed after dinner and rubbed his face. If dinner wasn't enough, the massive pile of homework was enough to exhaust him.
"I wish I stayed at the party with Dan and the others." Naruto said as he lied down.
After closing his eyes, Naruto tried to let his exhaustion consume him.
In a new place
Naruto found himself in a bright and sunny place with a lot of grass. He sat up and the first thing he found was a tail attached to his body and some claws and scaly hands.
"Either I'm in a lucid dream or I'm an Argonian. Wait, do Argonians have tails?" Naruto asked himself.
Before Naruto could assume that he was in one of The Elder Scrolls games. He saw a massive barrage of green blasts hitting various parts of the world he was in. Naruto cursed as he quickly ran around but struggled as his new reptilian body made it hard for him to move around as he avoided each blast.
The attacks lasted a few minutes and Naruto ran around before accidentally running into a small purple dragon.
"OW! Careful!" the dragon said.
"Sorry." Naruto said before picking himself up.
Naruto shook his head and adjusted his vision. He then looked at the dragon and looked wide eyed. The purple dragon looked at him curiously before giving him a sniff.
"Hey, are you new? I don't remember an orange dragon like you." the dragon said.
Naruto snapped out of his surprise, "Oh, I'm ah… I'm Naruto. I'm from another place. I woke up here after a long nap." he said.
It was a half truth, Naruto did literally appear here after waking up. The dragon looked a bit suspicious but just accepted what he was told.
"Okay, my name is Spyro. As you can see, Gnasty Gnorc turned everyone but us into statues." Spyro said.
Spyro then gestures to the various statues of dragons that were all over the land. Leaving Naruto to actually feel excited at the prospect of being in Spyro.
"Well, why are we standing around? Let's help them and beat up Gnasty Gnorc." Naruto said.
"That's what I was thinking!" Spryo said in agreement.
The two then turned to a nearby statue of a dragon that was trying to move. Spyro ran up to it with Naruto following close behind him. Once Spyro got close enough, he freed the frozen dragon who dusted himself off.
"Thank you for freeing me Spyro and… friend?" the dragon asked.
"I'm Naruto, I'm a… tourist." Naruto lied.
Nestor chose to believe him, "Well then, I am Nestor, leader of the Artisan dragons. It would be helpful if you and Spyro here free 10 of my fellow artisans before finding the balloonist." he said.
But Spyro had an opinion of his own, "But we should be going after Gnasty Gnorc. He caused this so I'll beat him up!" he said.
"Dude, your friends kind of need help too." Naruto said.
"Your new friend is right. Free the other dragons, then you can seek out Gnasty Gnorc." Nestor said before leaving.
Spyro groaned, "You guys are right." he said.
"Of course we are. The dragons only have us to rely on." Naruto said.
"Sure, we might as well ask around." Spyro said.
The duo then approached another dragon that was turned into a crystal statue. His name is Delbin and he appeared to have something interesting to say.
"Spyro, do you know why you have a firefly following you?" Delbin asked.
"Hey, I just noticed him. Why is he following you?" Naruto asked.
"That's because… uh…" Spyro said, having no idea why the firefly is following him.
"His name is Sparx. He's helping to protect you. Keep an eye on him and see what I mean." Delbin said before leaving.
Naruto pondered on it for a moment, 'Oh yeah, Sparx works like a health bar. I better keep an eye out for butterflies.' he thought.
The two then continued to search around the Artisans world and found a few gems hidden around the place. The journey wasn't exciting until Spyro found a small puzzle and opened up a path to a portal called Sunny Flight.
"You go ahead Spyro. I'll look for more dragon statues so we can move on." Naruto said.
"I'll hold you to it." Spyro said with a nod.
Spyro then jumped through the portal with Sparx while Naruto stayed behind. Naruto nodded and stumbled around, still trying to get used to his new form.
"This is going to take time to get used to." Naruto said before finding some orcs lazing about. "Hey! Get your lazy butts out of here!" he yelled.
The orcs got up and began to run away. Only for Naruto to chase them down and breathe fire on them. Causing them to burst into smoke and leave behind some gems.
"That's right and don't come back!" Naruto yelled.
Naruto chased around the orcs he came across while collecting any gems he came across. As he also kept an eye out for the dragon statues. He found another portal called the Dark Hollow. He wondered if it was spooky but didn't think much about it.
'I mean, I only played the game a couple of times on my dad's old console.' Naruto thought.
He didn't remember much of the game at all except for some characters and the basic storyline. As Naruto hopped through the portal, his wings started flapping on their own and helped him fly through the sky before landing in a dark place where the orcs hand weapons.
"Oh, so you guys think you're tough now?" Naruto asked as he ran up to them.
The orcs raised their shields but Naruto hopped over them. Luckily for him, the enemies were too stupid and too big. So he struck them from behind or from any opening he could find. All it took was one breath of fire and they were defeated easily. Even this one giant orc with a massive turkey leg wasn't strong enough to handle more than one hit.
"Haha, I can do this all day!" Naruto said excitedly.
Then Spyro landed near him, "Hey Naruto, I was looking for you. Did you get lost?" he asked.
"Nah, I was just exploring. I took out most of the orcs already and look, here's another dragon." Naruto said.
"Sweet!" Spyro said as he approached the statue.
That statue broke apart and revealed Alban.
"Spyro, I see you have a friend. I won't get too deep into what I need to say but hear this. The metal armor carried by the orcs is flame proof, but you can still charge them." Alban said before disappearing as well.
"Charging?" Naruto asked as he scratched his head.
"It's basically running as quick as possible and ramming your head into the orcs. Just watch and learn." Spyro said.
Naruto then followed Spyro who leaped a few times before finding a group of orcs and a giant orc. Spyro then ran as quickly as possible and defeated the orcs despite having shields to defend them. He then rushed at the giant only to fall backwards.
"Huh, I guess the big ones are immune." Spyro said before being hit over the head with a turkey leg. "Ouch! That hurt!" he exclaimed.
As the giant prepared to hit him again, Naruto rushed up to the giant and breathed fire on him. Like all the others, the giant orc collapsed in one hit and dropped another gem for them to collect.
"Hey, you're pretty alright." Spyro said.
Naruto nodded, "Yeah, you're cool too. Now let's go save the other dragons." he said.
"Yeah and then we can beat up Gnasty Gnorc." Spyro said.
The two then made their way deeper into the forest and defeated every orc in their path. All the while, Naruto wondered how his friends were doing.
'I can't predict what's going on with B but I can take a few guesses as to where Crimson is.' Naruto thought.
With Crimson
Of all the places, the gothic friend of Naruto found herself in a place that she found herself fond of. The infamous Spencer Mansion in the Arklay mountains. With a whole new companion but one that is also a memorable meme.
"Lead the way, Jill Sandwich." Crimson said.
"What did you just call me?" Jill Valentine asked.
Crimson just gave her a silent stare. There was no point in explaining this. Jill just gave Crimson a confused look before leading the way.
"Stay close, but not too close. No offense, but you don't really help with the decorum." Jill said, not trying to be mean.
Crimson knew what she meant, unlike reality when she was in school. She still had her gothic clothes and makeup on. So Jill had the right to be slightly creeped out by some dark themed chick following her around in a creepy mansion. When she just watched one of her teammates get eaten by monster dogs and got separated from another teammate.
All before splitting up with her other two remaining teammates. One of which will end up betraying Jill later on.
As the two continued to look around. The pair entered a narrow hallway where Crimson saw a memorable moment in the game she was in.
'And this is where survival horror is born.' Crimson thought.
In the next moment, Jill and Crimson watched as a man with rotting flesh was devouring a corpse. Jilly kept her gun trained on the walking corpse as it slowly turned to face Jill.
"Jill, as excited as I am to see a real life zombie. We should go back to Barry." Crimson said.
"What!? You're excited to see what!?" Jill asked, sounding confused and disturbed.
The zombie walked up to Jill and nearly grabbed her had Crimson not pulled her by the vest.
"Run!" Crimson warned.
Jill was then dragged back through the door they came from. There, they spotted Barry who was investigating the room.
"Barry!" Jill shouted.
"What is it?" Barry asked.
"There's a zombie, literally right behind us." Crimson said.
Deep down, as cool as it was to see the walking dead, Crimson really wished she still had her weapons from Silent Hill. At the very least her starting pistol would be very useful to have. That or a melee weapon, a knife wouldn't be enough with what is waiting for her in this mansion.
As Crimson thought about this, Barry raised his revolver as the zombie arrived. The zombie let out a gross sound as Barry unloaded three shots into its head before it exploded.
"What is this? Some kind of monster?" Barry asked.
"It ate Kenneth." Jill said, sounding disturbed. "We should report this to Wesker." she suggested.
Crimson frowned before opening her eyes, "Yeah, go do that." she said lamely.
Crimson followed Jill and Barry who walked back into the main hall. There, Wesker was gone and the pair were starting to look nervous. As they spoke, Crimson decided to look around and found nothing useful. Except for almost getting jumped scared by a zombie dog snarling at her from the window.
'Better not open that door.' Crimson thought.
"Hey you, stay in the room. This place is already a nut house and we don't need a civilian getting lost." Barry said.
Crimson just shrugged at him and continued to look around while Jill and Barry spoke.
"Here Jill, just keep the girl near you. Also, since you're the best at lockpicking, you can have this lockpick." Barry said.
"Thanks Barry, but where do you think Wesker is?" Jill asked as she accepted the lockpick.
"I don't know, but this place is just a house of horrors. So we better look for them and be careful." Barry said.
As they spoke, Crimson had the fortune of finding a combat knife inside of a vase. She knew this was not the weirdest thing she would find in this mansion. At least she was armed now, but this wasn't the best weapon in an early Resident Evil game.
"Hey! Are you even listening? Where did you even get that knife?" Barry asked, sounding so concerned.
"I think this place might be full of secrets." Crimson replied.
"At least she has a way to defend herself now." Jill said, making Barry sigh.
Crimson sheathed the combat knife before following Jill and continuing to explore the mansion.
'I wonder how the boys are doing.' Crimson thought.
With B
On one of the moons of Mars, B was following in the footsteps of a protagonist who is also quiet. Perhaps in a different scenario, B would be in a place that would give someone nightmares. As he was surrounded by various monsters and demons.
*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM*
Not that B actually cared as he was having fun.
'I am no fan of isolation, but this is fine. Classic Doom is cool.' B thought as he took cover.
B kept his head down as several zombies were firing their guns at him. Once he was clear, B raised his head and killed them with his shotgun. Once finished, B ran to the dead bodies and picked up the ammunition. He then found a colored key and walked into an elevator that took him to a new location.
'I wonder if I can speed run this entire place in one night.' B thought with a smirk.
B was one of those people that would tend to figure out the secret areas of vintage games and skim through them within a few button combinations.
The next morning
Naruto let out a loud yawn as he approached his classroom just as he saw B. B gave him a fistbump and the two walked inside.
"Did you end up in a new game?" Naruto asked.
B responded by showing him a small sketch of himself as the Doom Guy.
"Seriously? I'm starting to feel like a wimp with all the adventure games I'm in." Naruto said as B chuckled.
The two went inside and took their respective seats before the bell rang. After that, the homeroom teacher went over the agenda along with the attendance. Once that was done, the teacher actually had an interesting announcement.
"As a reminder, all students are required to participate in a club or a sports team as a way of increasing school spirit. I recommend you all to consider a place to belong." the teacher said.
Naruto groaned loudly but luckily for him, his teacher was one of those who tended to ignore unruly students. Naruto really didn't want a reason to stay at school any longer than he needed to. Unless it was an emergency or some kind of special mandatory event, he wanted to pack up his bag and leave once the final bell rings.
'Stupid school spirit.' Naruto thought as B shook his head at him.
'Naruto, your pain is nothing compared to what Crimson will feel. Those cheerleaders and other teams will try to force her to join them.' B thought.
Crimson really had the misfortune of being naturally attractive without her makeup. Perhaps it was some kind of irony that led her to choosing the path of the goth.
"Also, while you are free to leave a club. With good reason mind you, please try to follow the guidelines." the teacher said before remembering one more thing. "Oh and to further promote school spirit. You may attempt to establish a club so long as it matches the criteria. You may visit the office and speak with a counselor regarding it." he explained.
That got a lot of people thinking of their own clubs to establish but many knew they would not get it approved. Firstly, the rules may vary but all schools have their strict criteria. Such as the club has to be appropriate, it can't be something stupid either like fight club or cloud watching club. It doesn't have to be school related, but it can be something unique like an astronomy or art club.
They also can't be clubs that obviously already exist or fall into the category of a similar club. It would also have to have the right amount of members or likely have permission from staff. As well as likely have a teacher or other eligible staff member to supervise.
"Finally, you have until the end of your fourth week to be signed up. There will be extra credit for anyone to show proof of membership." the teacher added.
Naruto sighed, 'Oh? So now this is a membership type of thing now? They never tried this hard at my old school.' he thought.
While Naruto was being a downer, B was taking some notes and making a few doodles on a piece of paper.
At lunch
B put down a sketch that said "Tech Club" with images of various technologies. B smirked at Naruto and waited for approval.
"Nice idea, but does this school have one?" Naruto asked.
B pulled out a list of clubs with similar names. They were borderline regarding technology but with the notes on the side. Naruto could see that B located no such thing. There does appear to be a computer club, but it appeared to be mostly regarding programming. The rules are against clubs being too similar in order to save space, but sharing minor details isn't wrong.
"Now that I think about it. How come this fancy academy doesn't have many tech clubs. There isn't even an AV club here." Naruto said.
B nodded as he proved his point. Still, it was only a dream so far. B wasn't really sure if such a club could exist since he doubted he could match the requirements. But that's when Seras decided to suddenly appear.
"Oh, what a lovely drawing. Are you two planning to join or build a club?" Seras asked in her usually friendly tone.
"It's just B's dream for now." Naruto said with a sigh.
B just nodded in agreement while Seras pondered on it.
"I mean, at the end of the day. You just need five, or was it six, members." Seras said before thinking about it. "Actually, isn't your gothic friend trying to avoid all the more peppy clubs and sports?" she asked.
"Her boyfriend definitely is, just to avoid the crowds." Naruto confirmed.
"Then just sign up those two and find a fifth member." Seras said, further encouraging them.
That's when B turned the paper around and started making a quick doodle. Which just showed the mission Integra gave the boys and Crimson. Seras just shrugged it off as she saw nothing ruining their mission.
"To be fair, at least if this club exists. I have an easier way of keeping tabs on you three." Seras said.
Now B started to feel motivated and Naruto did feel some interest in the Technology Club. They just need the equipment to make it look real. It also helps that B is good at a variety of technologies. Maybe they can sneak in a game system in there to further distract them. The club is just a good excuse to have less responsibilities after all.
"If you're really up for it. You just need a staff member and principal to sign off on it." Seras said.
"Do you volunteer yourself, Ms. Victoria?" Naruto asked.
Seras chuckled, "If you can get this ship sailing then I'll be your quartermaster or captain. I don't really know how American clubs organize it." she said.
Then Crimson arrived and slammed her tray down before hitting her head onto the table.
"What's wrong with her?" Seras asked.
"Never mind that, hey Crimson, we're making a club. Do you and Ennui wanna join?" Naruto asked.
Crimson raised her tired face up, "Depends, what kind of club is it?" she asked.
"Technology club, the name is still patent pending." Naruto said.
Crimson shrugged, "Sure, I'll play with some stuff if it means escaping all these rabid recruiters." she said.
"Cool, if you can get Ennui onboard then we just need an extra member." Naruto said.
"Does Loki count?" Crimson asked.
Seras smiled, "He can be the mascot, but not a registered member." she said.
Crimson sighed, "This is going to be a pain." she said as she laid her head back down.
"Thanks for helping anyways, Ms. Seras. A good thing you suddenly appeared." Naruto said.
"It was my pleasure." Seras said as she began to walk away.
Only to quickly backtrack and stumble struggle to reach for something in one of her coat's pockets. When she did find that random lost object, she pulled out a few computer chips.
"I forgot, the real reason I was here was so I can give you these. Someone in headquarters said you may need the extra help." Seras said as they all took a computer chip. "Given our circumstances, I hope you are okay with cheating the system." she said.
"How is it cheating?" Crimson asked.
Seras just grinned, "You will find out once you access your memory cards." she said.
The trio gave her a weird look before deciding to figure things out on their own.
That night
Naruto went straight to bed for another night at work. By this point, it felt like a real job just to enter a video game world. This truly was a gamer's dream, albeit a nightmare for some. Naruto could only imagine how terrified a normal person must be if they got stuck in the scary games that Crimson and B are in.
'I wonder if we're all bound to specific genres of video games.' Naruto wondered before clutching the computer chip close to his chest.
Naruto set his alarm and covered himself with his bed sheet. Letting himself fall into sleep and find a purple dragon and firefly waiting for him.
In Spyro
As predicted, Spyro was standing over Naruto and giving him a curious look. He looked up and found himself in some kind of hallway.
"Hey, are you ready yet? We're in Peace Keepers and we gotta free these dragons before we find Gnasty Gnorc." Spyro said, reminding him of the mission.
Naruto sighed as he sat up, "Calm down, I'm getting up. I swear, you're worse than my younger siblings." he said.
"Hey, you're the one telling me to stay on track. We have to reach Gnasty Gnorc and beat him up quickly." Spyro said.
Naruto sighed again as he got up, "I know, I just needed a minute." He said.
"Fine, I will respect your wishes and give you a minute to rest." Spyro said.
Spyro then began tapping his foot rapidly as Naruto stretched his body and tail. Which took a while as his dragon form made it a bit more tricky to get used to whenever he arrived. By the time Naruto was ready to move on, Spyro released his frustration.
"That's a minute! Let's go!" Spyro said before running off on his own.
Naruto groaned before following Spyro who freed a dragon named Titan.
"Welcome to Peace Keepers, but look at what they did to our treasure. Can you two help us retrieve it?" Titan asked.
"Yeah, I'm up for it." Naruto said.
"Yeah, let's get that treasure!" Spyro said eagerily.
Once Titan left, Spyro rammed his head into a nearby orc that was dressed like a Napoleanic soldier. Naruto then took on the next orc before noticing the exit which was in some desert. He ran out and saw more orcs armed with stone spears and torches. The ones with torches were not fighting, but arming some cannons that they had brought to Peace Keepers.
"Spyro, take cover!" Naruto yelled.
Spyro quickly ran around the desert to avoid the orcs and cannons.
"I'll take care of the ones with spears. You take out those cannons." Spyros said from his spot.
Naruto nodded, "I got this!" He said.
Naruto quickly ran towards the first pair of cannoneers. He swatted some of the incoming orcs with spears with his tail before reaching the ones bearing torches. Once he took them out with his flames, he accidentally set one of the cannons off and destroyed a silver treasure chest.
"Hey, careful with that!" Spyro said as he was near the destroyed chest.
Naruto was about to apologize when he had an idea. He tampered with the cannon before realizing he had enough strength to move it around.
"Hey Spyro! You want vengeance?" Naruto asked as he lifted the cannon.
Spyro looked confused for a moment before smirking. He ran up to Naruto who adjusted his hold over the cannon and aimed for the other orcs. In a matter of moments, the invading orcs were surprised by the combined might of Naruto and Spyro.
Where their cannoneers were hit along with their infantry and finally the tents where more orcs spawned. All in all, the entire desert was cleared of orcs within a few minutes of repetitive cannon fire.
"Is that all of them?" Spyro asked.
"Probably, but let's be careful. We will free the other dragons and get their treasure back." Naruto said.
"We can also use your strength to make it easy to destroy silver treasure chests that are in hard to reach places." Spyro added with Naruto nodding in agreement.
The two continued to tear the place apart for the stolen treasures taken by the orcs. As they found the treasure and located the frozen dragons. They were not aware that dark forces were watching them.
With Polygon Man
The original mascot for the Playstation watched as a portal revealed Naruto and Spyro's progress. The purple crystal floating head just watched with very minor interest. He turned his head and saw two more portals revealing B making great progress by slaughtering the waves of demons and monsters in the Doom world. While Crimson was helping Jill survive the traps and monsters awaiting them in Spencer Mansion.
"I suppose these humans do have skill. Some amount of abilities that helped them win the other day." Polygon Man said, but not without feeling some anger.
That's when a floating Voodoo mask appeared behind Polygon Man.
"Indeed, quite the threat but there is no excuse for failure, my master." The voodoo mask said.
Polygon Man turned to face the mask, "Uka Uka, you appeared and gave your opinions. Is it safe to assume you have made progress?" He asked.
Uka Uka nodded, he knew Polygon Man was beyond anything he could muster. With this very sentient being able to bring powerful individuals like Zeus to their knees. Uka Uka's pride was not strong enough to challenge the oddly shaped superior being. So all he could do was be nothing more than a lackey like a certain scientist he worked with.
"Yes my master, Cortex has finally begun to poke holes into the other reality. It won't be long now before we can establish a foothold in the other world." Uka Uka said.
"Then that foolish minion of yours with the large head really came through. Now my migraine has been alleviated." Polygon man said before turning back around. "But you are correct about your earlier statement. Failure is not to be tolerated. Samael and Zarok have proven to be useless." He said.
"Indeed, they allowed their hubris to weaken them." Uka Uka said. "No offense on your part my master, but Samael was a pathetic deity who was defeated by a child with a few bullets and Zarok, that pathetic sorcerer could not even control his own transformations." He added.
Polygon Man glared at Uka Uka from the corner of his eye.
"Do not remind me, I do not want my migraine to return." Polygon Man said, making Uka Uka nervous. "Still, perhaps this should work in my favor. This just proves who is unworthy to stand below me. My disappointment will not increase should these "gamers" win again." He explained.
"Master?" Uka Uka asked, looking very confused.
"I will not lose much if an angry brute with a fragile Gnasty Gnorc is to be defeated. Nor will lose much if a single labyrinth or even a moon base filled with monsters is destroyed." Polygon Man further explained.
Uka Uka was still confused, but just assumed that Polygon Man had either lowered his expectations or just decided who had worth in his eyes. The voodoo mask hoped that his new master wasn't going to destroy him next.
"Yes, let the children play their games. Let them be filled with happy dreams before waking up to a nightmare." Polygon Man said as he began to float away.
"I will continue to supervise Cortex. I will be sure that the army you requested begins to invade." Uka Uka said.
"Good, make sure they are strong. Instead of just an angry mob of mindless animals like the ones in the Doom world." Polygon Man said before leaving.
Uka Uka sighed, "He's so arrogant, but he has the power to back it up. Is that how Cortex feels around me? Because he should! Idiotic nimrod!" He said before leaving as well.
Leaving Naruto and his group to continue fighting back against Polygon Man's forces. Fighting back against the cannon fodder he had abandoned. With the belief that a temporary victory would only fill the group with despair despite the sheer effort they all put in.
Back with Naruto
Once Spyro and Naruto cleared the mini levels that were behind the portals. The pair made their way into a small room filled with a couple of regular treasure chests and one that held a lock.
"You got that key, right?" Naruto asked.
Spyro pulled out a key and shoved it into the padlock before opening it. The chest then broke apart and dropped several gems. Putting them together with the gems from the other chests, the pair amounted to the 200 total gems stolen by the orcs.
"Hey, now that I think about it. Did the orcs really steal these gems?" Naruto asked.
"Don't tell me you're going to defend them." Spyro said.
"I'm not, I'm just saying. Like did the orcs steal them and decide to randomly store them in boxes and drop a few on the way?" Naruto asked.
"Maybe it was for safe keeping." Spyro suggested.
"Spyro, we found piles of gems being littered all over the place. Are they just clumsy or is this just convoluted?" Naruto asked.
Spyro sighed, "Who knows, maybe Titan thought the orcs wanted to steal them but they were too stupid to open the boxes and treasure chests." He said.
"I guess that makes slightly more sense. Some of them did drop gems." Naruto said.
Perhaps Naruto was just overthinking things and not considering the fact that this is a kid's game from the late 1990s with a nice visually appealing remake.
"Don't worry about it. Let's just get to the balloonist and leave already." Spyro said.
Naruto nodded and followed after Spyro before noticing a portal to his room appear.
"I'll catch up with you later, Spyro." Naruto said as he ran to the portal.
"Okay, I guess I'll just wait again." Spyro said as he jumped into the hot air balloon.
Naruto arrived at the portal and pulled out his memory card. He instantly remembered his computer chip and found it in his free hand. Just as Naruto prepared to leave, he placed the two objects together before watching as the computer chip lit up and transferred some energy into the memory card.
Naruto raised a brow and suddenly found the portal opening up to a new room. Letting curiosity take over, Naruto walked inside and found a dull looking room that looked like an empty shed. However, it was not entirely empty as he found some of the weapons from MediEvil hanging on the walls beside him.
"What's this? Some kind of trophy room?" Naruto asked as he reached for them.
Once Naruto picked up a sword, he found the word "eligible" written on top of it.
"Okay, this is too confusing for me. I'll just figure this out tomorrow." Naruto said as the portal to his room appeared behind him.
Naruto settled with the idea of taking his time to figure out whatever it was Seras wanted him to do. That or he could ask Crimson and B if they used their computer chips when he sees them.
The next day
Shortly before classes, Naruto spoke with his two friends who did figure out the purpose of the computer chips and the room. Luckily B managed to explain it in a quick yet detailed summary.
"Oh, so basically some of those weapons are available to some games then?" Naruto asked.
B nodded.
"I wish I had learned that earlier." Crimson said with a scoff. "I barely had any bullets left when I left the mansion." She said.
"Crimson, you're going to be more heavily armed than a redneck when this is all over." Naruto said as Crimson rolled her eyes.
"Whatever, but that reminds me. If we can get that club approved, Ennui is willing to join just to escape those annoying sports teams." Crimson said.
B nodded but then remembered the last detail.
"Right, we still need a fifth member and we only have a couple of weeks left." Naruto said.
"We better hurry, there's only a limited amount of space. They can't approve us if a bunch of other clubs get approved." Crimson said.
As the group made their way to class, B pointed at a random flier for a "pizza club".
"I think we're good. Everyone else sucks hard at creativity." Naruto said as they arrived at class.
Later that day
Ennui arrived at the lunch table where his girlfriend and her friends sat. As they arrived, the trio noticed Loki was hanging onto Ennui's shoulder. The rabbit just gave that scary stare that he gives everyone.
"Hey guys, if this club does become a thing. Maybe by making Loki the mascot, he could count as the fifth member we need." Ennui suggested.
"Mascots representations and all that, so it's school spirit and stuff. That should count." Crimson said before looking at Loki. "Sorry that we're doing this to you Loki. This stuff is against our principles." She said.
The rabbit just closed his eyes and lowered his head for a moment before raising it again. Almost acting as if this was a sign of approval on his part.
"Like titular god, he's willing to suffer the pains of the underworld for the cause." Ennui said.
Once again, the goths were being a bit over dramatic but at least their tones made it subtle. Meanwhile, Naruto remembered something funny.
"It's moments like these, that I remember why my siblings are scared of Loki." Naruto said.
B gave Naruto a surprised look.
"What? You didn't know? They can handle Crimson with her makeup but Loki just freaks them out." Naruto told him.
B scratched his head in confusion as if this was news. He knew Loki didn't behave like a normal rabbit but to actually inflict fear. That made B reflect on a lot regarding the rabbit.
"Now that I think about it, Norse mythology Loki was said to be a trickster but good at negotiations." Naruto said.
"Yeah, so?" Ennui asked.
"Maybe Loki here can point us to the fifth member we need." Naruto said.
The goths didn't care that Naruto meant that as a joke. They were just desperate enough to avoid being put into a sport or lame club, that they actually put their heads against their pet rabbit's own head. Loki closed his eyes as if he was focusing on them both.
"Loki, we ask you to look deep. To seek out the final member of our covenant." Crimson said.
"One qualified enough for us to converse with and with as little conflict as possible." Ennui added.
The two boys sweat dropped at the attempted prayer. When Loki suddenly opened his eyes and jumped out of the hands of the goths. He then began to scan the room before hopping across the cafeteria.
"I think we put too much pressure on him this time." Crimson said.
"Loki, get back here!" Naruto yelled as he ran after the rabbit.
For some reason, Loki dashed across the cafeteria and nearly knocked a few students over. Just as Naruto came close to catching the rogue rabbit. He slipped past a green haired girl looking at a board on the wall.
"There goes my dreams of a pizza club." The girl said in a monotone voice.
Though some with a good connection to others might say this girl felt disappointed and slightly depressed. However, the green haired girl didn't seem to notice what went on when Loki landed on her shoulders.
"What is this mammal doing here?" The girl asked, not sounding too concerned.
Loki gazed at the girl as if he were examining her as if he could look deep within her soul. The girl just stared back impassively, not knowing what was happening. Loki then closed his eyes and lowered his head before opening his eyes again.
"Loki!" Naruto called out as he grabbed the rabbit. "Sorry about that, Loki is a special rabbit." He said.
"You named your rabbit after the Norse God?" the girl asked.
"He's my friend's rabbit or… their equal. I can't understand what goes on with Loki." Naruto said before Loki tapped his face. "What? Do you need something?" He asked.
Naruto didn't understand it, but Loki was trying to tell him to recruit the green haired girl. That's when Crimson arrived and noticed the subtle messages from her rabbit.
"Naruto, Loki has chosen our fifth member." Crimson said.
"What?" Naruto asked.
Crimson looked at the green haired girl, "Excuse me, are you in a club?" She asked.
"My dreams of the greatest have been erased, so no." The green haired girl said.
"That's deep." Crimson said. "You wanna join our club?" She asked.
"I'm not interested." the girl said before turning away.
"Hey, we didn't even tell you what kind of club it is." Naruto said, sounding slightly annoyed.
"Don't care." she said.
Crimson then got another message from Loki.
"We'll bring pizza at every meeting." Crimson said.
The girl quickly turned around, "Very well, your club sounds very interesting. Let us build it right away." She said.
Naruto sweat dropped, 'A foodie, how nice.' He thought sarcastically.
The next day
Seras presented the trio with an approved stamp.
"Congratulations, your club has been established. You even get one of the bigger rooms too, how nice." Seras said.
"Cool, now we have a place to hang back and ignore the other clubs." Naruto said.
"Yes, you may want to inform Cecillia and Keith about the formation of your club and when to meet so we may establish the rules and regulations." Seras explained.
"Yeah, let's… who the heck is Keith?" Naurto asked.
"That's Ennui's conformist name." Crimson answered.
"You got the most elegant conformist name while Ennui gets the most dull name?" Naruto asked.
Crimson sighed, "It's tragic." She said. "Also, is Cecillia that green haired girl we recruited?" She asked.
"Yeah, she's also a transfer apparently. Although she prefers it if we call her 'C.C.' instead of her real name." Naruto said.
"Regardless of names, just make sure the correct people meet at this room number at this time. You will meet your assigned advisor there." Seras said.
B picked up the document for his friends and nodded. Leaving the trio curious about who was willing to chaperone them. Hopefully not some stiff with strict rules or an overly perky young teacher.
After school
The trio arrived first to find Seras sheepishly standing in their assigned room.
"Superintendent Hellsing would only allow this club to exist given that I supervise you all." Seras said. "But no worries, we can grow closer together. Look, we even have a variety of devices to mess with." She said before playing on an electric keyboard.
"At least we got someone who's relaxed." Naruto said before Ennui and C.C. arrived.
Seras then went over the basic rules for maintaining the club. Mostly the technical stuff regarding attendance and showing proof of who was here. Along with the required hours and other technicalities. It wasn't like everyone had to be here every day for three hours a day. Of course there are exceptions in missing club meetings such as family emergencies, appointments and other things.
Since this wasn't a real part of the curriculum, things weren't as strict as class. While Seras didn't seem like the serious strict type, there were some ground rules everyone had to follow that she set up.
"So just remember to at least manage the bare minimum. Next week, official club meetings will begin. They will be three days a week and a minimum of one hour of attendance is required." Seras explained as she wrote on her clipboard.
"Question, is food allowed?" C.C. asked.
"Why yes, but we will have a designated spot for eating. Just to avoid making a mess with the equipment." Seras answered.
The green haired girl accepted that, she just had this love for pizza that was very obvious. After that, the group just decided on some other ground rules and other decisions that were within the power of the school and whatever influence Seras could work with.
"Well then, the meeting adjourned. Take this time to get to know one another if you haven't already met." Seras said before excusing herself.
Later that evening
Naruto went to pick up his siblings from their middle school and was slightly surprised to know where they went. At the same time, he kind of felt stupid for being this ignorant.
"How did you not know we went to Ashford Middle School?" The younger boy named Arashi had said.
"Yeah, it's a joint part of your high school. Mama signed us up the day she signed you up." the younger girl named Mito said.
Naruto groaned, "Well now I know, anyways why were you two coming out so late?" He asked.
"We had a pizza party." Mito said with a smirk.
Naruto sighed, "No, please don't talk about pizza near me. I already met someone with a love for it." He said.
The twins grinned and decided to annoy their older brother.
"PIZZA! PIZZA! PIZZA! PIZZA!"
"I'll tell mom that both want an extra side of mushrooms with your dinner." Naruto said, scaring them into being quiet. "That's right, don't make me pull out the mushroom card." He said.
"You hate vegetables too!" Mito argued.
"Yeah, but at least I can shove them down my throat." Naruto replied.
The siblings made their way back home when Naruto pulled out his phone. Only to see it start glitching wildly. Being a teenager of the modern era, Naruto began to feel frustrated.
"No, don't crap out on me now!" Naruto yelled as he fiddled with his phone.
"Ooh! Mom's going to be mad if you broke your phone!" Arashi said.
"It's not broken, it's probably some stupid update or something." Naruto said.
As Naruto tried to fix his phone by restarting it. He saw his Playstation application load up much to his annoyance. For a second, he thought he saw a familiar mascot appear within the app before closing out the app and restarting.
A minute after entering his home, Naruto saw that his phone was back to normal.
"We're back." Naruto announced.
"And Naruto broke his phone!" Arashi yelled mischievously.
Naruto flicked the back of his brother's head in response. Arashi winced and this prompted Mito to run away while Kushina entered the living room.
"Oh good, how was the pizza party and club meeting?" Kushina asked.
"It was awesome!" Her younger children said in chorus.
Kushina then looked at Naruto who shrugged.
"My friends were able to form that club, so at least we won't be bored." Naruto said.
"That's nice, at least I know those two aren't troublemakers." Kushina said.
Quirks aside, Kushina was happy that B and Crimson weren't psychopaths or people from bad backgrounds. Sure Crimson looks creepy to most when the makeup and wig are on, but at least she's capable of behaving like a normal person for 90% of the time.
Kushina also seems to be confused as to why Arashi and Mito are scared of Loki. Kushina appeared to be unaffected by whatever factor causes the fear her children feel.
"Anyways, your father will be home a bit late but dinner will be at the same time. Just rest up and do your homework." Kushina told all three of them.
Arashi and Mito nodded before dropping their bags and going to their rooms. After they left, Naruto started making his way up the stairs as well when his mother stopped him.
"So, did you find a girlfriend yet?" Kushina asked.
"No mom." Naruto replied.
Kushina pouted, "You only have three years of high school left. You're going to be all alone with that attitude." She said.
Naruto groaned, "Mom, I don't want to talk about this." He said.
"Ah, you're so difficult." Kushina said with a sigh.
"Dad says the same about you." Naruto said as Kushina grew a tick mark.
"Well, now your father is going to get an ass whooping." Kushina promised before remembering something. "Oh that reminds me, I saw your godmother earlier in the store." She said.
"How's Aunt Mikoto?" Naruto asked.
"She's nice and healthy, but I'm worried about Itachi-kun. He looks so depressed and he's such a loner." Kushina said.
Naruto stopped halfway up the stairs when he heard about Mikoto's older son.
"You asked me about getting a girlfriend because you're afraid that I'm going to be like an Uchiha? You know the men in Aunt Mikoto's family are all dark and depressing." Naruto said.
"Oh don't be like that, Itachi-kun is sweet and you used to be friends with his brother, Sasuke." Kushina said.
"Yeah, before he became an egotist and a jerk." Naruto replied before going up the stairs.
Kushina sighed, "Okay, maybe that last part is true. Still, it was nice seeing Mikoto again." She said.
As Kushina went to the kitchen to grab some things. She didn't notice her own phone starting to glitch out as the Playstation symbol appeared. Which was strange as she didn't have the app installed on her phone.
Meanwhile, with Integra
In an office on a plot of land owned by the Hellsing family. Integra was going over the data she collected on her computer from the chips she gave to Seras to pass onto her new recruits.
"At least those three are still making good progress. I can only hope they prepare for the worst if their experiences are drastically altered." Integra told herself.
Integra's concern was that the games that the three students were facing were going to change. Besides the idea that the characters become sentient and start affecting the real world. Integra was a bit paranoid about the idea that the games change paths at some point.
Integra was not an avid gamer or even informed about the plot of video games. However, from what she could tell, each gamer's experience followed relatively the same path as the real games they have played. So what's to stop the games from changing up and a new path or new threat suddenly appearing?
It was fortunate for them that the bosses weren't changed with something drastically more powerful. Integra's recruits were also fortunate that some like Zarok were still being goofy idiots that repeated their same mistakes.
Integra's thoughts were interrupted by an email from the academy's principal.
"What do you have for me now, Ruben?" Integra asked as she opened up her email.
Integra immediately sighed, the cover of being a high ranking member of the board education really was stressful. It meant she had to work two jobs to keep things organized and avoid suspicion. Now she was looking at an advertisement regarding a video game competition.
"Ruben, I can't comprehend why you… wait." Integra studied the advertisement.
It was real without a doubt and the rules seemed to be fine. However, Integra started looking up the event itself on the internet. In a nutshell, it was a competition between teams that partake in video game competitions with the prize being a heavy amount of money and an award. However, it wasn't the prize that made the woman feel intrigued.
"I forgot that schools made E-Sports teams. Perhaps this Technology club can also house Ashford's own E-Sports team." Integra said as she reached for a cigar under her desk.
With that lit up, Integra started to further develop an idea on how this new idea she had.
