"I'll find you guys sooner or later!" A boy, no older than four, cried, walking on a beach. He was wearing a white shirt, green shorts, and slippers.
There was a squeal as the girls gushed about the tiny Midoriya. Kyoka, however, winced in pain at the noise.
"Oh my gosh!" Mina gushed at the cuteness.
Toru squealed at the screen, "So CUTE!"
Katsuki merely sneered, seeing the small Izuku. This was going to be hilarious.
Inko smiled fondly as nostalgia hit her hard. It brought back some wonderful memories of that age. Though now thinking about it, she never remembered Izuku having that attire before. She frowned as Inko didn't remember taking her son to a beach. The closest beach was full of garbage then, and the next beach was too far away.
Izuku was blushing, covering his face with his hands. Ochako gushing right next to him wasn't helping. "Wow, Deku! You look so cute!"
Shoto blinked in surprise while Tenya patted Izuku's shoulder awkwardly, "It's alright, Midoriya. Though they should really respect your privacy!"
Eri tilted her head at seeing the small Izuku. "Cute." Izuku merely got more flustered at Eri's remark.
"Man, Midoriya," Chuckled Hanta, "You sure know how to catch everyone's attention." Some of the guys were also amused.
Toshinori, however, while he felt his heart melt at the sight of his successor when he was a boy, couldn't help but notice that something was off if the background indicated anything. Aizawa just wanted to return to his sleeping bag while Nezu wrote down something in his notepad, which he pulled out of….somewhere.
From up his balcony, Bola gave another exaggerated cough, "Smol menace."
He looked around, cupping his hands over his mouth, "You two can't hide forever!" When he got no answer, the boy pouted, slumping forward. "Aw, why do I always have to search first?" His companions had gone off to hide, and it was always frustrating to look for them.
Katsuki narrowed his eyes, "Who the hel-heck are you looking for?"
Izuku was still too embarrassed, but he managed to look up. He tried to ignore the girls gushing over how much of a 'cutie' he was. Or the fact that they find his voice cute. "I-I honestly don't know…."
"B-but something isn't right…." Izuku looked thoughtful as he realized that he wasn't anywhere recognizable in Musutafu. It looked similar to a beach but wasn't Dagoba Municipal Beach Park. It couldn't be, as it was still a dump when he was that age.
Not to mention…there were some differences.
"Who are you looking for?" A voice behind him asks.
Everyone jumped at the new voice. Izuku, in particular, pulled his notebook out of…somewhere. He recognized that voice.
Katsuki also perked up. This was the voice of the extra that said those weird words to his childhood friend.
"Whoa!" The boy jumps in surprise. Turning around, he was face to face with a blue-haired woman. "W-Where did you come from?" The boy asked nervously. His parents always said it was dangerous to talk with strangers.
Izuku immediately drew a sketch of the blue-haired woman. There were a few muttering as some of them found her outfit strange.
"Is she a hero?" Asked Denki, blinking his eyes.
"I don't think so…" Muttered Izuku as he looked through his memories. He didn't recognize this woman. However, if they really are in a different reality, she could be a different hero from that world.
Though there was no doubt that the woman was attractive, Minoru almost drooled but stopped when he felt a shiver on his spine. He fearfully glanced at the dragoness outside the mobile food cart. She had her novel at hand, but Dark ensured that Minoru knew he had an eye on him. She growled at him with a menacing glare. Astrid lifted an eye and looked menacingly at Minoru with a growl.
Mineta wisely kept to himself.
Inko wasn't sure how to feel about how a strange woman was near her son.
Nezu hummed thoughtfully. "Interesting." He rubbed his hands.
"I could ask you the same thing. Are you here all alone?" The woman kneeled, making herself smaller to the boy.
Hearing the woman's words, everyone couldn't help but relax. There wasn't a way to explain it, but hearing her voice was soothing.
She gave this feeling of security and safety. But also…
"She gives a big sister vibe." Mina was amused.
Toru, sitting next to her, agreed.
The boy shook his head, "No, I'm here with my friend and my b̴̧̲̱͖͍̓̅͝r̶̡͇͓̊̄ơ̶͚̦̠̪͊̈͑͌t̶̢̯̦̞̏h̶̢̹̟̓̈́͝e̷̗̭̓̈́̌̀ř̷̫͖͂̄̚. My dad brings us here to play," he pouts, crossing his arms over his chest. "even if I have to keep my eyes on them all the time."
Everyone jumped on the unexpected glitch. Some of them were complaining about it already. Bola heard it and cackled to himself.
Katsuki grumbled in annoyance.
Inko, however, tilted her head. Did this mean that Hisashi was more active in Izuku's life? Hisashi hasn't been a part of their lives since they divorced and even before then. He's working abroad, and they haven't spoken since then. At least the man is providing for them without arguments.
Izuku was also surprised as his mother. Did this mean his dad was more around? Katsuki narrowed his eyes and scoffed. He remembered his mom bitching about how Hisashi bailed on aunty. He doubts this will be any better.
The woman giggles. "So you are the responsible one? I know how it is. You turn your back for a second, and they run for who knows where."
There were a few snorts of disbelief.
"Responsible?" Groaned Aizawa. The day he saw the problem child responsible was the day he got a good night's sleep.
Ochako giggled, "Yeah, I can't really see it."
"Guys!" Squawked Izuku.
"Well, you can't blame us, man." Shrugged Ejiro with an apologetic grin.
"Yeah!" Denki smiled teasingly, "When you go around breaking your bones and doing reckless things, you can't expect us to believe you're responsible."
"Like you are one to talk about being reckless." Snarked Kyoka, smirking as he remembered Denki's 'Whey' mode.
The blond flinched before slumping, "You don't have to be mean about it."
"Yeah! Finally, someone who gets it! I just want them to stay safe, so I have to look out for them."
Tenya then adjusted his glasses. "Well, if there is one thing you and this other you have in common, you seem always to be looking out for people." The teen then looked down at his friend. "Even before looking out for yourself."
Izuku couldn't help but smile a little. "Yeah."
Toshinori's lips twitched. It seemed his successor was no different than now, even if they were from a different reality.
"Well, if you want to take care of them, then you better have something to protect them and yourself" she raises her hand, and in a flash of light appears a...key? She holds it by the body, offering him the handle.
"Woah!"
Everyone jumped at the sudden appearance of the giant key. It was the same trick the other Izuku did with his car key. Everyone tilted their heads at the design of the new key.
It was thin and predominantly a dull, metallic blue color. There was a teardrop-shaped gap in the base and near the tip of the blade's shaft. The head of the key was roughly diamond-shaped, though the left corner of the diamond was absent, and there was another small, white diamond on the inner edge of the right corner. The teeth were formed by four blue spikes lining the outer edge of the key's head. The handle was smooth and black, while the guard was angular, predominantly white, and did not fully connect to the key. The Keychain links and its token are all made up of water droplets.
In a sense, it was beautiful.
"She knows the same trick Midoriya does?" Asked Denki.
Katsuki rolled his eyes and grunted in annoyance, "If you remember, Dunce-face, that woman must've given him his quirk or something."
"How do you know?!" Cried Denki indignantly.
Katsuki snorted, "If you paid attention, you would've noticed that extra's voice from the last episode is the same as this one."
"Not cool, man…." Groaned Denki.
The boy looked at it, confused. He looked at the woman, she wore an encouraging smile, and he shyly raised his hand to grab it. She smiled at him and started to say-
BEEP-BEEP!
Everyone jumped.
"A dream." Izuku breathed as he wrote this down.
Katsuki then groaned, "Of course, it's a cheap, quick cut to make the watcher jump."
Izuku wakes to the sound of his alarm. The dream he was having was still fresh in his head. 'What was I doing on a beach? Who was that woman? Why was she so familiar?' Izuku slipped out of bed, getting ready for the day, All Might told him to meet him for training, and he couldn't be late.
Taking a quick shower, putting on a fresh set of clothes, a simple t-shirt with 't-shirt' written on it, loose pants, and a belt. But when he put on the belt, he felt something off, like it wasn't complete. Looking at his wardrobe, he takes another belt, crossing it with the one he is wearing, forming an X.
Mina giggled, "Oh yeah, this Midori definitely has a better fashion sense than ours!"
Izuku slumped in defeat, with Eri patting his back again.
He doesn't know why. It simply felt natural. Leaving a note for his mother, he leaves the house.
After the incident with the Sludge Villain, she had been worried about what had happened to him. That is to be expected, but later she had that distant look on her face. Izuku tried to figure out what was bothering her, but when he asked, she would just change the subject.
Izuku frowned in confusion. Sure, his mother was worried about him when the whole Sludge Villain incident occurred, but something was off. Almost as though something else was in her mind.
Inko was also frowning, questioning what her alternate self was thinking.
While trying to figure out what could be wrong, Izuku arrived at the location All Might told him to go, Dagoba Municipal Beach. The place was a dump, with mountains of trash occupying the beach. That was a common sight. The beach became a junkyard years ago. Even though it was unlawful to dump the trash, people just didn't care enough to do anything about it.
Momo frowned, "What a shame, really. I heard that this place was lovely."
Tenya was chopping his hands, not pleased at all. "This is disgraceful! The trash should always be disposed of in the proper manner as designated by the officials."
"I know, right?! They ruined a good beach," Mina yelled indignantly.
"I heard the city cleaned it, though." Mashirao hummed. He wasn't someone who enjoys going to the beach, but he admits it looks better than… this dump.
"Not really," Izuku muttered under his breath, going unnoticed by the others.
Izuku placed a hand over his chest, clenching where his heart was. Why did Izuku feel his heart aching? Looking at the state of this beach, it shouldn't be like this. It was tragic. He couldn't stand it. Resolving himself, he started to clean the beach. He was so wrapped up in his self-imposed task that he didn't notice All Might arriving.
"It seems that the other you is just as dedicated as you, Midoriya," Tenya remarked at Izuku.
The teen gave a weak smile.
"Young Midoriya, I see you've already begun your training" All Might was in his skinnier form, standing surprised that the boy was already cleaning without any prompting. That only makes the pro even more certain about his choice.
"All Might! H-Hi, and what training? I'm only cleaning." Izuku tilts his head in confusion. He didn't see how cleaning a beach would be considered training, maybe to build character?
"Well, young Midoriya, it would be quite the workout when you clean the WHOLE beach."
"No way." Kyoka's mouth dropped, along with most of the students.
"Deku, you cleaned the whole beach?!" Ochako looked at her friend with shock. She was gaping with wide eyes.
Izuku blushed and looked bashful as he tried to shrink himself from everyone's eyes on him. "A-ah…yes?" He squeaked.
"Holy cow, Midoriya!" Rikido looked impressed at his classmate, "That's impressive!"
"I'll say!" Ejiro had tears in his eyes, "I need to step up my game! Midoriya is making me look like a wimp!"
"I know, right?" Agreed, Hanta, with a few other male students nodding in agreement.
Mina cheered, "I'll say! Now we have a clean beach to hang out with!"
Tsuyu looked just as happy, "Good job, Midoriya. Ribbit"
While a few of his classmates congratulated their timid classmate, Aizawa raised an eyebrow at the screen. Dark merely glanced from her novel to the screen and simply let out a sigh of amusement
"A nice start, but that's nothing compared to other training methods." Muttered Dark. "These kids have no idea what we have in store…." She chuckled under her breath.
Bola saw that and snorted, "And she complains about my ominous cackling." He laughed good-naturedly.
Toshinori expected the boy to flip with such a task, but to his surprise, Izuku smiled and nodded.
"You're right," Izuku clenched his fists, "that way, I'll be able to prepare for the UA's entrance exam and clean the beach."
All Might nodded. It seemed this kid was getting it, "Yes, not all hero work is glamorous, so this is gonna be a good lesson of humility for you." He takes a packet of papers from his pocket, "You mentioned UA's entrance exam, this thing here is a training plan, it's going to be hard, but if you follow it, I'm sure you will pass with flying colors!"
Aizawa was surprised, though he hid it well. Who would have thought the muscle-bound, with tons of merchandise and a huge media personality, instilling in his successor the values of boring humble community service work? And he wasn't just giving his quirk to Midoriya and letting him run with it. The man had a method, a training plan, and had clearly thought this through.
Huh… Maybe he should give the man a small benefit of the doubt.
"Us three are gonna pass this exam with flying colors! Just you wait! We'll be masters in no time!"
Toshinori looked at the screen with a raised eyebrow. "This looks like the current age, young Midoriya. But I've never seen these other young men whose faces are cut out."
Denki then scratched his head, "Hey, I know this is supposed to be amnesia and all that, but the Midoriya there looks pretty much the same age as the one we know."
Momo then tapped her chin, "Kaminari is right. I would understand losing younger or even more recent memories, but this seems too recent and big to forget." She looked toward the screen at the two other boys, "And even if it were forgotten, surely Bakugo or even Midoriya's mother would recognize them?"
Kyoka then chimed in, "Not to mention both Midoriya and that boy spoke in perfect synch." She turned to the paused screen, "That is something that takes practice, especially at the level of showing the same exact emotions they did."
Toru then chimed in, "Excuse me, are we all just gonna forget the Midoriya and the boy said they were gonna become 'masters'?"
Koji then chimed in, "Masters of what, though?"
Katsuki then chimed in, "You idiots, they're clearly talking about that weird key thing!"
"As good a guess as any," Momo admitted.
Izuku shook his head at the vision, but he felt determined. He wouldn't be left behind. "Okay, I'll clean the beach in no time and be ready for the exam!" He takes the papers, reading through them, and he sees that every day is planned, but one thing he doesn't understand is why there's quirk training time. "All Might, why is quirk training time on it? You're passing your quirk to me already?"
"No, my boy, this is for training your quirk."
"But I don't-never mind," Izuku stopped trying to correct All Might. It's not like he would accept any other answer than a quirk, "so I have to train with my Keyblade and my body." Izuku went back to hulling the trash, "Okay, so I better get started" After a few hours, he got a good space cleaned so he could practice.
Summoning his Keyblade, he took on a stance, right leg back, body slightly turned, knees a little bent, holding his weapon with the two hands pointing forward. Taking some basic swings, he got the feeling that he's done something like this before-
"Giving up already?"
"Hey, look who's winning!"
"Come on, S̸̭͇̲͇ō̸̡̳̭͚͘ȑ̴͉͂̃͝a̷͇̝̔̏̌̕, let's show him!"
While the glitches prevented making out who those two other boys were, they were clearly the same as the last time, if a little younger.
Another flash, another piece that Izuku could barely understand. His mind can't remember, but his heart can. In a second, Izuku is performing a series of strikes that send a pile of garbage flying.
Taking deep breaths to calm down, he hears the sound of clapping.
"Impressive Young Midoriya! If you keep that up, your Keyblade quirk will be a force to behold!" All Might said, approaching the boy.
"That's not its name."
"What?"
Mashirao looked at Izuku, "Please tell me you're getting this!" He pleaded.
All Izuku could do was give him a sheepish smile.
"What?"
"It is a Keyblade, but it has a name."
"Well, then, what is it?"
Izuku looked at the Keyblade and felt a smile crawl onto his face. He lifted the Keyblade up towards the sky, "Heroes Rising." At the sound of its name, the Keyblade glinted, although neither could tell if it was from the sun.
"Heroes Rising," repeated Izuku with a mutter.
"That's a cool name!" Ochako said.
Tenya nodded, "Indeed, to have such an aspiring name is quite impressive!"
All Might gives one of his signature laughs, "That is a great name, my boy. Now I think that is enough for today."
Izuku realized that the sun was already setting. Had he really been out all day already?
He runs back home, enters the apartment, and he sees his mother sitting on the couch, "Hey, mom," he smiles at her. Since the day he got his Keyblade Izuku felt more and more relaxed in conversations. While before, he could barely speak a sentence without stuttering, now he can talk to people relatively usually.
"Izuku, we have to talk," Inko says, doing her best to look imposing, a difficult task when she is shorter than Izuku, and her chubby complexion and kind face make her look absolutely not threatening.
Denki whistles, "What has your alternate self done, Midoriya?"
"What?"
While Denki shrugs, Hanta takes over, "Usually when a mom says 'we need to talk.' It's usually bad."
Izuku frowned. What did she need to say that was so serious? Izuku sits next to her, "Sure, mom, what's wrong?" He places a hand over hers, "If this is about my training to enter UA, don't worry, I got some help so that I won't hurt myself."
"What-no, it's not about that. I'm happy that you're putting so much effort into going to the school you want. What I want to talk about is-" Inko's voice fails, and tears start to flow down her face.
Izuku quickly hugs her, "Mom, it's okay. You don't have to talk if you don't want to. I doubt whatever it is. It can't be that important."
Inko gently pushed her son a little, "No, you deserve to know," taking a deep breath, she looked Izuku in the eye, "Izuku, you're adopted."
As those words dropped, the whole room went deadly silent. Izuku couldn't register it, though. His ears were filled with the sound of his own heart drumming in his chest. That, that wasn't true, that couldn't be true!
Katsuki blinked with wide eyes, "What the fuck?" His voice was ripe with disbelief.
Eri blinked in confusion and tilted her head, "What does that mean?"
No one answered her as the Midoriyas panicked.
The boy looked at his mother, who had her eyes as wide as his, "That's not true, right?!" He almost looked desperate.
"Of course not!"
"I should probably have explained this before." The sound of the only other person in the room that had the courage to speak up after that moment made the audience's attention snap to him. Bola crossed his arms and nodded, "Oops."
"Now you done it, moron." Dark rolled her eyes, not bothering to look at the chaos Bola caused. Whether it was intentional or not was up to everyone, but knowing him, she guessed the former.
"What did that mean!" Inko cried out, tears in her eyes, "Izuku is my son! I gave birth to him!"
The armored man raised his arms in a placant gesture, "I know, and you did, but only to your son, who is sitting right there." Bola pointed at Izuku, then turned to him, "Remember what I said? About the chain of events and how every action has a consequence, yadda yadda yadda? Well, when did I say the chains of events I'm showing you all start there? Or even started to differ from yours there?"
Izuku let that settle in for a second, then, in a moment completely justified, he cursed under his breath, "Dammit." That was as shocking to everyone in the theater as the bomb dropped on the paused screen.
"Izuku!" Inko couldn't believe her son had swore.
"Sorry." The boy sighed and all but melted on his chair, "But he's right. From the beginning, we had various proofs that whatever happened to that me started much earlier than what the show was showing. If that's the case, then it is fair to assume that the version of me has a completely different life to that point. If that's the case, then…."
Nezu finished for his student, "Then that version of you can have a different family." The principal hummed, "After all, to change an outcome, you first need to change the starting point."
"Five points for Hufflepuff!" Bola laughed, a wizard hat on top of his helmet's ornament making him look ridiculous. Dark and Sleppt snorted at the stupid look.
"The furry gentleman is right, my dear audience. Our green bunny had a story before all that." He waved in the general direction of the screen, "Which led him to that point. The question here was always what it was, how he can get it back, and most importantly, what else does it change?" The armor-clad man started to cackle ominously, the sound haunting.
Izuku nodded to himself. The objective of all was on his face from the beginning, but now he had it spelled out for him. He needed to figure out the answer to all those questions to make sense of the show and to know just what parallels he could trace between it and his life. With it, maybe he could get the answers to all the what-ifs that were always in his mind.
Inko was still shaken by what she had just learned. The mere thought of not having her son and what the other version of her did to have a situation so different terrified her. But what most scared the woman was to see the reaction the other Izuku would have to the revelation.
Izuku felt his entire world freeze, he had been expecting many upsetting things, but of all the things that she could have said, Izuku was not expecting this, "W-WHAT?! But how-when-why?" Izuku couldn't even talk. The only person he had as family since ever was saying that they weren't related, that was impossible-
"Let's go, boys. I'll take you to the play island today."
"Thanks, dad!"
"Take care and come back before dinner."
Izuku was quiet as he heard the strange man's voice. The scenery was glitching, nothing new, but to see his other self's biological family was weird. Everyone understood that this was a serious scene and respectfully remained silent.
Izuku held his aching head. He knew them, a man with spiky brunette hair and blue eyes and a woman with green hair and eyes that looked like him and his 'mother.' Izuku, in his heart, knew them, but that wasn't important right now. The chubby woman crying and apologizing in front of him was.
It was brief, but they managed to get the image. A lean-built, yet more on the skinny side, man was holding a woman who seemed more fit than him. She had a gymnast build with hair as crazy as Izuku.
What was odd was that the man had more of a lazy posture while the woman seemed more energetic. As though if she stayed in one spot for too long, she would explode.
"It's odd to see Midoriya has a different family." Remarked Hanta.
"Yeah," Admitted Eijiro, "I mean, I know this Midoriya is different from ours, but come on."
Katsuki was likewise put off that someone else other than auntie gave birth to the nerd. Who the hell were these people? And just with one glance of the green woman, it almost seemed as though she was related to Inko.
Inko had similar thoughts. She was still unsettled by the revelation, so she was a little out of it when she saw Izuku's other parents.
Putting his hands on her shoulders, Izuku gently shook her, he felt tears fighting to fall out, but he kept them at bay, "Mom, look at me, it doesn't matter. You raised and loved me when no one else would. You stayed with me. You're my mother, okay?" He smiled at her, hoping to comfort her.
And just like that, it was as if a crushing weight was taken off Inko's shoulders. It was fine. Everything was going to be fine. She just needed to trust her son more. He always did the right thing, after all.
While the Midoriya matriarch was filled with relief, the children all commented on how touching the scene was. More than one of them decided to tell their parents how much they loved them when all that was done.
"IZUKUUUUU!" Inko hugs him while liters of tears fall from her eyes, "I'm sorry for not telling you, I'm sorry for not supporting your dream, but now I'll be there for you, I promise!"
"No matter what, we will always be there for each other. It's a promise!"
"Yeah! Thanks S̸̭͇̲͇ō̸̡̳̭͚͘ȑ̴͉͂̃͝a̷͇̝̔̏̌̕"
Katsuki was agitated, "Ok, who is the nerd talking to?!" He looked to the screen, anger on his face, "We've heard their stupid voice so many times, so he must be close to the nerd, but every time Deku says their name, it glitches out on us!"
His answer was Bola giving the most intense mad cackling fit they ever heard from the man. After a long minute, he rubbed the part of his helmet that should be over his eyes and took deep breaths, "Oh my Stars! I didn't have a good laugh like that in a long time. Thanks, kid"
"What the fu- heck was that, Rock Head?!"
"That was the confirmation that you got the question right. Now you just need to figure out the answer."
The only person to get the meaning behind his message was Nezu, who noted something in his notepad.
Izuku hugs her back with a tearful smile, "I know you will." Making up his mind, Izuku ended the hug, "There's something that I have to tell you too."
"Oh crap, more bombs!" Toru's exaggerated exclamation successfully raised the mood after Bola's ominous words.
He told his mother about the dreams he was having, his Keyblade, and the strange visions—everything except the entire meeting with All Might since that wasn't only his secret to tell.
Inko listened. When he showed his Keyblade, she was elated, her baby boy could finally follow his dreams, but at the same time, it worried her about what could happen to him, "It's getting late, and you have to wake up early tomorrow, so go to bed Izuku."
"Okay…" Izuku stopped by his bedroom door. He had one more thing to say before turning in for the night, "and mom, thank you for everything." He didn't wait for a response closing the door behind him.
"No, thank you, Izuku, for being my light when I needed it the most," Inko whispered, happy tears in her eyes.
Toru gushed at the scene, "Oh, this is so precious!

Kyoka raised an eyebrow at the music. It wasn't something she personally enjoyed, though it was pretty nice. But she winced when the music abruptly stopped with the glitch.
Mina then pointed to the screen with a gremlin-like smile. "I was right. That voice was a duck!"
Denki nodded, "No wonder he sounds like he's quacking every time he speaks."
Koji then looked up and quietly asked, "But who's the dog man?"
Hanta then spoke up, "And what was his name…Goofy?"
Katsuki grunted, "Not to mention the other guy hanging out with Deku. You'd think they're related or something from how they talk simultaneously." Katsuki then snorted, "Yeah, right."
"Is no one going to mention that the memory glitched itself in the final moment?" Asked Mezo.
Mashirao weakly smiled at him.
Izuku slowly gets up, putting a hand on his chest. He softly whispers, "Together, right? Donald, Goofy." He quickly gets ready for the day, leaving his house. Running to Dagobah beach, he sees all the garbage he has to clean, "I have ten months to clean all this, so it's better to get started!" With a determined look, Izuku starts his training.
"Hell yeah!" Cried Ejiro with manly tears running down his face as he shot up from his seat. "This is so manly!"
Katsuki, annoyed at the outburst, forced Eijirou back to his seat. "Sit down, weird hair!"

Aizawa felt an upcoming headache as he rubbed his temples. All while, everyone looked confused about what they had just witnessed. Tenya himself looked as though he was going to have an aneurysm.

"Gorilla?" Echoes everyone in confusion. The girls and Inko were blushing when they saw a man wearing only a loincloth. Eri, however, was questioning why that man had no clothes on. A few guys, like Izuku, were uncomfortable answering.
Kyoka, in particular, wasn't sure how to feel when the music ended the same way as the last. She figured just to let it be; otherwise, she would get a major headache.
"Geez, was he raised by Gorillas or something?" Denki asked Jokingly.
"Well…" Izuku scratched the back of his head, "I really don't know."
"Yes," Bola said bluntly.
"Wait, what?!"
Izuku strikes a washing machine with his Keyblade sending it flying, and he jumps, cutting it clean in half.
Denki was shocked, "That thing cut through an entire washing machine like it was butter!"
Mina was also shocked, "How?!"
Momo was sputtering, "I-it shouldn't be possible! That should be a blunt object!"
Inko and Toshinori looked pale, with the latter pulling on his shirt collar nervously as swear to pour out. Nezu was writing this down while Aizawa looked about done with everything. They still remembered Kai's threat and silently agreed never to harm Chibi.
Tenya was going through a mental breakdown as steam was practically steaming out his ears, and his arm was approaching supersonic speeds. "P-preposterous!"
"Wow, Iida is broken," Ochako remarked. "Never thought that was possible."
Izuku smiled in agreement, just as amused.

Toru then stopped, "Wait, someone already made Midoriya a hero in this world?"
Aizawa narrowed his eyes while Nezu wrote that down. Toshinori scratched the back of his head.
Izuku runs laps on the sand with All Might in his buff form on his back.
"How strong are you, Deku?!" Gaped Ochako.
Izuku flushed as he stuttered, "U-uh, w-well-!"
Thankfully, he didn't need to answer as the screen took everyone's attention.

Mezo stopped for a second. "Wait….Genie?...as in magic wish-granting Genie?"
"Really?!" Mina asked with stars in her eyes. All the wishes she could have granted! Though unfortunately, a genie can only make three wishes. But the imagination of it was limitless! Denki and Toru also had the same idea as they grinned excitedly, with Toru unable to stay still in her seat.
Tenya scoffed, "There is no such thing as magic! And Genies are nothing more than folklore!" He chopped his hands.
Mina, Toru, and Denki slumped.
"Way to ruin someone's dream class rep." Grumbled Toru.
"Uh, Iida?" Ochako said with a nervous smile, "I don't think you should've said that…."
Izuku scratched his cheek. "I mean, Iida isn't technically wrong, but that really only applies to our universe," he then looked at the boy, "And even then, we're forgetting some massive things, Iida."
Izuku pointed to Dark, Sleppt, and Bola. "The guys who brought us here seem pretty magical, and they're able to exist in our universe, so maybe magic can exist in our universe as well."
Izuku jumps from one pile of garbage to another. He summons his Keyblade and points it up, "Thunder!" The tip of the weapon glows yellow. Lightning shoots out of the weapon before he hits the ground.
"What the-!" Came out a shocked gasp from Minoru.
He wasn't the only one, as everyone was either gaping or surprised.
"Did the other Midoriya just use lightning?!" Mina yelled
Momo then chimes in, "No, it was more than just using it," she said, observing the scene. "He seemed to be able to control and target where it was going"
Denki's eyes went from the screen to the green-haired teen. "Midoriya, please tell me you can do that too!" Denki pleaded. He needed to know if he did, then he could learn to control his quirk and use it in ways he hadn't even thought of.
All Izuku could do was give him a sheepish smile and a helpless shake of his head.
Denki then slumped for a second in his seat before staring at the screen again.

Tsuyu was interested when the scene took place at the bottom of the ocean. And what intrigued her was, "You have an Orca whale tail, Ribbit."
Izuku was blushing but intrigued when he saw himself in a new form. It was kinda strange to see himself with a small tan and lack of body muscles. Kyoka winced when the girls let out high pitch squeals. A few of the guys were either chuckling while others muttered under their breaths, envy in their eyes. Eri's eyes shined with excitement, and Inko couldn't help but gush at her son's form.
If only she had a camera.
Katsuki, however, was bored and looked away.
Ochako, grabbing the poor boy and shaking him, "You look amazing, Deku!" She paused and let go of the boy as she recalled the boy's words. "I guess no matter where you start from, your definition of a hero is always the same, Deku!" She gave the boy a smile
While as red as a tomato, he shakily gave her a nervous smile.
Izuku, in his bedroom, does push-ups while reading a book on hero law. He is keeping up with his studies to pass the exam's written part.
"Dude, there's optimizing your time, and there's that crap. Like, what the hell?" Denki was awed, confused, and slightly jealous of the Izuku on the screen.
Kyoka couldn't help looking at him and teasing him, "That just shows you how Plus Ultra he is compared to you."
Denki sulked while Katsuki snorted. The lightning teen gave the ashen blonde a look of betrayal, "Dude, c'mon!"

"Woah, check out Midoriya!" Denki looked at the boy
As thescreen paused, the classes stared at the boy who was wearing a white ghost sheet over his head, dark blotches all over and covered in jack o'lanterns and with a stitched smiley face and a tiny wizard hat on the hood.
The most surprising thing was the boy's complexion. It was pale grey skin and a dark ring around his eyes that made the green of his eyes and hair look like they were glowing.
Almost as though he were a real ghost.
Tsuyu spoke up, "He looks more sick than scary."
"Or dead." Shivered Hanta.
Katsuki let out a tch, "Dead or not; It still looks like the nerd is wearing a dirty sheet." He looked the other Izuku up and down, "And the smile and wizard hat on the sheet threw off the whole creepy look."
Izuku slumped, "You don't have to be so blunt about it!" He whined.
Katsuki simply replied with a "Blunt is what I do, nerd."
Eri merely patted a depressed Izuku on the back as her eyes remained on the screen. She had to admit that Mr. Deku looked cute in that ghost costume.
All Might threw cans up at the beach, and Izuku threw his Keyblade at them. It spins like a buzzsaw destroying the cans before returning to his hand.
"Wow!"
Everyone was gaping at what the Keyblade did.
"What can't this keyblade thing do?!" Yelled Denki, pointing at the screen.
"Revelry in the Dark."
"No need to go emo on us, Tokoyami."

Everyone has been gaping at the size of the whale. While no one could see how giant the whale was, just seeing how the inside its mouth looked was outrageous.
Tenya looked as though he had a stroke, "Impossible! No whale can be that humongous!"
"Eww. That's gross." Mina made a face at the image of the inside of the whale's mouth.
Dark glanced at the screen. With that size, the whale could feed a small village for a year. Maybe two if pushing it. She then had a thoughtful look as gears started to turn in her head.
Back with everyone else, they flinched when a teen came into view. As expected, his face glitched; they couldn't even get his name either!
Izuku and Nezu wrote this down nevertheless, while a few students were grumbling in annoyance.
"This is fucking annoying." Grumbled Katsuki as he took a long swig of his spicy drink. He was going to get more once the break started again. He ignored a few of the students giving him wary looks.
Izuku pushed All Might's truck down the road. In the driver's seat, the hero embarrassingly looked at the empty gas meter.
There was a round of laughter while Toshinori sank in his seat in embarrassment. Aizawa's lips twitched in amusement but hid them on his scarf.

"Another glitched person." Mashirao sighed, "That was what, the third?"
"Yes." Mezo hummed, "Why are only some of them glitched?"
"Maybe because they're important?" Koji gave his best guess.
Izuku jumps high in the air before pointing his Keyblade down, diving into a trash pile and destroying it.
"That was cool!" Toru cheered along with the more excitable members of the class.
"How high can that Midoriya jump?" Tsuyu's question was directed to Bola.
"That's a little situational." The man shrugged.

"Kingdom Hearts…." Muttered Izuku as he wrote that down, making a quick sketch of the titanical set of doors that appeared on the screen.
"Wow." Breathed Ochako, "Now those are humongous doors!"
"Who's Ansem?" Asked Denki.
Everyone narrowed their eyes at the white-haired man. It was but a glimpse, but they managed to get a face. If only briefly.
All Might walked to the beach, and his successor was doing excellent. The boy has come a long way in just ten months. What before was a scrawny fanboy is now a young man ready to begin his journey as a hero.
Finally arriving at the beach, Toshinori saw something incredible, "Oh my...my...GOODNESS!" The WHOLE beach was clean and spotless. On the sidewalk was a mountain of trash, and sitting on top of it, watching the setting sun, Izuku was shirtless and covered in dirt, but even it couldn't hide his now muscular body.
Ochako felt heat coming from her cheeks.
"That, ladies and gentlemen, is Plus Ultra at its finest." Hanta pointed at the screen, awed by the image in it himself.
"Bro, that's one of the manliest things I have ever seen." Eijiro had tears running down his face from the sheer manliness.
"Is that even a word?" Yuga scratched his chin, throwing Mashirao a glance and receiving a shrug.
Mina saw the shirtless Izuku on the screen and blanched, "How can Midori have a baby face while being absolutely ripped?"
The boy in question blushed heavily. He didn't know what to do with all those people seeing him shirtless, even if it was another version of him. That, along with seeing how the other him apparently finished cleaning the beach faster, only made him want to hide in a hole.
Inko, doing her holy duty as a mother, bragged about and embarrassed her son simultaneously, "My Izuku got his roundish face from me. It gives his features a softer look."
Bola gave another exaggerated cough, "Babyface." He took a gulp from a water bottle that simply appeared in his hand, "Oof, have to look into that later. This cough is killing my throat."
"YOU NEVER STOP TO AMAZE ME, MY BOY! YOU EVEN CLEANED OUTSIDE THE AREA I MARKED AND WITH A DAY TO SPARE!" Izuku jumped off the pile and landed in front of All Might, "NOW YOUNG MIDORIYA. I BELIEVE IT IS TIME" The hero raised his hand to his head and took one hair, "SOMEONE ONCE TOLD ME, THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LUCK AND HARD WORK IS THAT ONE IS A CHANCE, THE OTHER IS A REWARD, THIS IS YOUR REWARD!"
"So it was only by a day." Izuku sighed in relief, seeing the other him wasn't that ahead. He knew being jealous of an alternative version of himself would get him nowhere, but he just couldn't help it.
"I'll admit, that's a good lesson to give." Aizawa nodded, "It's all too easy to get both mixed up and coast on luck to carry you through, something that in our line of work just doesn't fly."
Izuku, even with tears threatening to spill, had a smile as brilliant as his mentor. This was it, the moment he worked for ten months. Nothing could ruin this for him.
The Izuku in the theater snorted, "Wait for it…."
"EAT THIS!" All Might shouted, offering his hair.
"There it is." He nodded in sympathy to his counterpart while the rest of the audience laughed and gagged in equal measure.
"You had to eat a hair?!" Kyoka recoiled in disgust.
"That doesn't sound very hygienic." Momo covered her mouth with a hand.
Aizawa deadpanned at All Might, who could only give a helpless shrug back. Inko was with the tired man on that, giving the skeletal hero a disapproving look.
"To be fair, there are worse ways to pass on a legacy." Eight's words made the people below him give the man blank stares. He raised his hands, "I'm just saying that between having to bury your fist into someone's heart or eat a hair, the latter is not as bad as the former." The stares turned from blank to horrified.
Izuku muttered, "I have several questions."
"Which are best staying unanswered. Now back to it." Bola snapped his fingers at the screen.
"Wait, what?" This isn't what Izuku was expecting.
"WELL, TO RECEIVE ONE FOR ALL, YOU NEED TO CONSUME SOME OF MY DNA, AND THIS IS THE LEAST AWKWARD WAY!"
Bola hummed, "He could bite your arm too, ya know. Just go and chomp!" He clumped the fingers of both his hands shut.
"Would that even work?" Izuku turned to All Might, who only scratched the back of his head.
"Maybe? I would really prefer you didn't test it."
Izuku takes the hair, but his face clearly had doubt. He looked at the hair, steeling himself, "It can't be that bad." The sensation of the hair going down his throat almost made him puke, but he powered through it. Still coughing a little, he turns to All Might, "I did it, but I don't feel any different?"
"YOU STILL HAVE TO DIGEST IT, SO GO HOME AND HAVE A GOOD NIGHT OF SLEEP, AND TOMORROW ONE FOR ALL WILL BE YOURS! BUT REMEMBER THAT YOU'LL HAVE TO ADAPT TO IT, SO BE CAREFUL!"
Bola snorted, "Bones go brrrrr!" After a fit of laughter, he turned to Izuku, "I'll just say it already. In most universes, you transform your bones into a convincing confetti imitation at least a couple of times."
"I don't know why that makes me feel better, but it does." Izuku was pretty sure it shouldn't, but it did.
Izuku says goodbye to All Might and starts walking home. On the way, he takes a notebook from...somewhere, on it is written 'Dream Journal Volume I.' Ever since the dreams and visions started, he kept track of them. "So we beat Ansem in the end...somehow? And closed Kingdom Hearts...Somehow? Urgh, I can't remember. Much of this part had so many missing pieces," Izuku complained, frustrated that some dreams were relatively complete, and he could understand. Others were just random bits and pieces.
Katsuki chimed in, "Understatement of the century." He scratched the back of his head, "This is so confusing it's pissing me off!"
"C-c'mon, K-Kacchan-!"
"Shut it, Deku!"
Nezu kept to himself as he wrote, "While we've heard about the other things this kingdom hearts, whatever it may be, has not been mentioned often. So many moving pieces all at once." He wrote down vigorously, "What a fascinating universe we've stumbled upon!"
Izuku ended his notes before entering his house. After a quick dinner with his mother, he turned in for the night.
[Play: Kingdom Hearts III Re: Mind Link to All - Connect the Keys Full Version]
Izuku slowly opened his eyes. Looking around, he saw himself back on the pillar, surrounded by darkness. On edge floated eight orbs of light, each one a different color. Something in Izuku told him they shouldn't be there, but they weren't a threat either. They approached Izuku, with each one entering his chest, one by one.
[End Music]
"What are those balls of light?" Toru's clothes slumped, indicating the girl was as puzzled as everyone. "And why are they going inside Midoriya's chest?"
A few people were stumped, and seeing Izuku blink in confusion indicates he had no idea. However, seeing the orbs float into the other made something stir inside him as if something or someone was pulling on his chest "Is-is this One for All?" He clutched the middle of his chest through his shirt.
The final one floated in place, "Don't be afraid, because no matter what, we will always be with you."
"That wasn't freaky at all," Hanta said sarcastically.
"Revelry in the Dark," Fumikage murmured as he looked interested.
"Who is that? Midoriya? All Might?" Asked Ochako, but neither mentor nor protege knew.
"Although…" Toshinori looked thoughtful as he glanced at the orb going inside Izuku. "There is one possibility…."
Bola raised a mug from his balcony, "And the Ninth is crowned." His words went unheard by almost everyone, almost.
Kyoka threw a confused glance up. What did he mean by that?
Izuku rose from his bed and stretched. The sun was rising, its light illuminating the bedroom, "It's today!" jumping out of bed, Izuku rushed to prepare for the exam. Taking a shower, ate a small breakfast, put on his school uniform, and crossed belts so fast that when his mother woke, he was already at the door.
"Izuku, wait!" Turning around, Izuku saw his mother smiling with small tears in her eyes, "I just want you to know that no matter what happens today, I'm proud of you."
A warm feeling filled his chest, and Izuku returned the smile. "I know, don't worry, I'll be okay." Quickly putting on his signature red shoes, he gets up and leaves the house.
Izuku felt his heart squeezed, and he couldn't help but smile. His mom always supported him, no matter what dimension.
Eri noticed Izuku's smile and couldn't help but smile herself.
One short train ride later.
Izuku stands in front of the massive gates of UA, the cherry blossoms blooming, and the main building at a distance makes for one breathtaking view, "Out of my way!"
It's a shame some people don't know how to appreciate it.
Hanta snorted while nodding, "A real shame."
"Wanna say that to my face, Soy Sauce?!"
Izuku looked over his shoulder, seeing a familiar blonde, "Hi, Kacchan!" After the Sludge Villain incident, Katsuki had been on almost civil terms towards Izuku, at least for him.
Mina had a goofy smile on her face. "Such happiness and eagerness it's a nice change of pace from Midoriya's timidness."
Izuku slumped down a bit hearing that.
Denki then chimed in, "Bet you Bakugo says something to ruin the mood."
"Move it, shithead!"
"Told ya"
"Shut it, Dunce Face!"
Almost.
"Almost." Toru's comment made the rest of the class laugh, except for a fuming Katsuki.
Passing ahead, Bakugou shouted over his shoulder, "Don't go dying on the starting line, Deku!"
Bola started to cackle, "About that…." He shot Izuku a look, making the boy blush and hide his face with his hands.
"Oh, that." Ochaco giggling only made Izuku shrink into himself more.
Ejiro lightly elbowed the boy's shoulder, "You do care, man."
"Shut it, Shitty Hair!"
Sero then tapped him, "Oh, come on, admit it!"
Mina then jumped in, "Yeah, even you have to admit you care about us a little!"
Katsuki then growled out, "That isn't even me. It's another version of me!"
Denki chimed in. "And yet you both pretty much act the same," he said with a cheeky grin on his face.
Katsuki looked at the blonde before looking back to the screen, an annoyed look on his face but silent all the same.
Hearing it, Izuku smiled, 'He really cares, in his own weird way' With renewed vigor Izuku started to walk to the building...only to trip on a loose brick on the road.
A few people were laughing.
"So they were right; you will die before the exam." Teased Denki
"Sorry, Kacchan, but I won't die in the start line. I'LL DIE RIGHT NOW!" Izuku panicked, trying to put his arms in front of him to break his fall. But the impact never came. Looking down, he saw he was floating.
There were a few people who were laughing at the teen's misfortune. Izuku tried to sink into his seat with a red face.
"Sorry about using my quirk without asking, but falling on an exam is bad luck," A voice said from above Izuku before someone helped him stand. Turning to his savior, he saw a girl his age. She had brown eyes and hair, and two bangs framed her face with two permanent blush marks on her cheeks.
"Hey, look! It's you, Uraraka!" Cried, Mina.
Ochako was still laughing at the scene, "Yeah!"
Izuku, however, was still blushing. He remembered this moment; it was the first time he had talked to a girl. And he also met his friend for the first time.
Izuku's cheeks reddened in a slight blush as he nervously scratched his neck, "Thanks for the save. I would have died from embarrassment. Are you here to take the exam?"
Izuku slumped a little. How was it that his alternate self could talk to girls without any effort? To his shame, Ochako giggled as she also connected the dots from that day.
"It was nothing, and yeah. I'm here for the exam," the girl replied with a smile.
"Well, we better get going then. My name's Izuku, Midoriya Izuku" They started to walk again. Izuku and the girl match their pace to keep talking, "I'm Uraraka Ochako. It's nice to meet you, Midoriya-san." They keep with some simple talk along the way before parting ways to take the written portion of the exam.
"And the two dorks meet!" Mina had an impish smile, "Best friends even from another universe!"
Izuku blushed and looked away. Ochako followed pursuit, making it rather humorous.
Some hours later, the students were all in a huge auditorium waiting for the instructor. Izuku was seated beside Katsuki, and the explosive boy gave him a slight nod that could be measured in nanometers. Not long after, Present Mic, the Pro hero, and teacher, began explaining the physical part of the exam.
Aizawa was thanking whatever god out there that Present Mic wasn't here. Otherwise, the cockatoo would bust his ears for being too excited.
"HEY, LISTENERS! I KNOW THAT YOU ALL ARE HYPED FOR THE PRACTICAL PART, SO CAN I GET A HEY!" The hero only got silence. Izuku was sure that every person in the auditorium was too nervous to speak. Looking around, he saw everyone with serious faces, and the tension was getting to him too. Poor teacher; he was just trying to lighten the mood.
Aizawa let out a snort. It was amusing to see the cockatoo be out of his game.
Katsuki raised an eyebrow out of surprise, "Well, look at that." He glances at Izuku with a smirk, "Seems that other you knows how to keep himself shut!"
Izuku could only slump. This was it, wasn't it? Was the point of this universe to prove how much better his counterpart is?
"Bakugo!" Chasted Tenya, "That is not polite! Apologize to Midoriya at once!"
"Make me, Four Eyes!"
While both boys bickered, Ochako placed a comforting hand on Izuku's shoulder, "Don't listen to him, Deku."
"Alright, enough!" Aizawa stood up and glared at Tenya and Katsuki, "Sit down and be quiet!"
Both did as so, with Katsuki grumbling before sulking in his seat.
Present Mic was unfettered, though, "KEEPING IT MELLOW, HUM? OKAY, SO I'LL GO STRAIGHT TO BUSINESS THEN!" The hero briefly introduced the three types of robots and the point system. A student interrupted him to ask about the fourth type, but it was just an obstacle to avoid. So why is Izuku having a really bad feeling about it?
Izuku and most of the students understood now.
"NOW I'LL LEAVE YOU WITH THE SCHOOL MOTTO, AS GENERAL NAPOLEON BONAPARTE ONCE SAID, 'A HERO IS ONE THAT OVERCOMES LIFE'S MISFORTUNES, ' GO BEYOND PLUS ULTRA!"
"Plus Ultra!" Shouted the students.
After the speech, the applicants were sent to change into more comfortable clothes. Izuku changed to some old black pants and an All Might hoodie but kept the belts and shoes.
Izuku blinked in surprise. During the exam, he wore a green jumpsuit.
A few of the audience took notice of the All Might Hoodie, and they couldn't help but laugh.
"Even in another world, Midoriya is such a fanboy." Teased Denki, much to the freckled teen's embarrassment.
Katsuki and Izuku were in different battle centers, so they parted ways after changing. As Izuku entered the bus, he saw a familiar brunette, "Uraraka-san!"
The girl in question waved and offered the open seat beside her, "Midoriya-san, it's good to see you. Lucky there was a spot open, as the bus got full really fast."
Sitting beside her, Izuku looked around and saw that there were only a couple of seats free, "Whoa, everyone sure is eager to begin."
"Well, duh!" Denki said.
He got jabbed by Kyoka and punched upside the head by Katsuki.
"OW!"
Bola sighed, "That kid is gonna get brain damage if you keep beating him up like that."
Katsuki shouted back, "Not our fault he keeps being stupid!"
"That doesn't mean you need to go physical every time, eh?" The armor-clad man pointed out.
Dark glanced at the Bakusquad and shrugged, "Some people need a hit in the head when they don't get shit. I do that from time to time. But sometimes, being physical isn't the answer."
Katsuki merely grumbled while Kyoka looked indifferent and refused to look at Denki. Though inside, she felt a little guilty.
"Well yeah, we are trying to get on UA! I just hope we pass" Ochako's bubbly attitude turned grim.
The change didn't escape Izuku's notice, "Uraraka-san, is something wrong?"
"Is just that... I'm afraid I won't pass, there are so many people, and my quirk isn't good for combat," Ochako replied with a downcast look.
"Don't say that!" Izuku said to Ochako, "Your quirk is amazing!"
Ochako smiled, "I know Deku, but you find all quirks amazing." She waved off his weak protests, "Besides, I'm more confident in myself than I was then. So I know my quirk can be useful in many ways!"
"Hey, don't say that! Your quirk is amazing, and if you're so worried, we can do the exam together!" Izuku's unwavering determination shocked Ochako, but not so much as his offer, "Would you do the exam with me? Would you do that? Aren't we competing for a spot?"
"Way to make a move, Midori!" Teased Mina, giving the two friends a cheeky grin.
"I-it's not like that!" Sputtered Izuku, with a red face.
"Yeah, Mina!" Ochako, more flushed than usual, gave the girl an annoyed look. She was getting tired of the pink girl's teasing. "He's just being friendly."
"Well, sure, we're competing, but there's nothing in the rules that says we can't do the exam together. We can help each other out. I mean, isn't that what friends are for?"

Everyone blinked.
An unknown girl was wearing a small white dress. They were in some kind of white room with white furniture and a giant window. They saw Izuku comforting the blond girl, and the strange thing was that there was no glitch.
They could see her face perfectly.
Nezu hummed at the unknown girl while Aizawa scrunched his nose in thought.
Ochako wasn't sure how to feel to see a random girl near the other Izuku.
"Who the heck is this chick?" Katsuki asked bluntly, giving the green-haired teen a questioning glance.
"I-I don't know," Izuku muttered. He had never met this girl, but it seemed his counterpart had.
It didn't really help Ochako's unpleasant feeling growing in her gut.
The vision barely lasted a second, but the smiling blond girl in his vision was replaced with Ochaco smiling just as brightly, "Okay, let's do this together!"
The rest of the short bus trip was spent planning how to match their strengths. Some minutes later, they disembarked and were greeted by giant metal doors. "I'll give an eight out of ten," Izuku commented absentmindedly.
"What?" Asked Denki and Ochako.
Izuku just let out a sigh. He has no idea what is inside his other self's head. And something tells him it was better if he remained oblivious.
"What?" Ochako tilted her head confused, wondering what her new friend was talking about.
"The doors, I've seen bigger," Izuku replied, pointing at it.
"Who would need bigger doors?" giggled Ochako.
Izuku shrugged, "Well, there are those that have quirks that make them bigger…."
"Not to mention we saw those humongous doors earlier." Tsuyu said bluntly.
Ochako looks sheepish, "Yeah…."
Ochako laughed, "Why would someone need even bigger doors?"
"That's what I said!" Ochaco's outburst gained some laughs from the rest.
"Literally." Bola's comment only made the kids laugh more.
"I don't know. It's not like giants lived there" Izuku shrugged with a small smile, which only made the girl laugh more. A hand landed on his shoulder suddenly. Turning back, he was face to face with the student that interrupted the presentation, he was taller than them, had dark blue hair and eyes of a lighter blue, and his calves looked like car exhaust pipes.
"Oh, look, it's you, class rep!" Denki pointed at Iida on the screen.
"No shit, Sherlock." Scoffed Kyoka.
"If you won't take this exam seriously, then leave. This is not a place for fraternization!"
Yuga sparkled as he remembered this, "Oh yes, I remembered how our Representante da classe has caused quite the perturbação to our resident hero~."
A few people shot Yuga looks of confusion or bewilderment as they had no idea what he said. Tenya had an idea of what Yuga said and looked down. He wasn't exactly proud of what he did.
He turned to Izuku, "Midoriya, forgive me for my rudeness!"
"I-it's alright, Iida!" Izuku smiled at him, "I-I know that you didn't really mean any harm."
"Hey! We are taking this seriously, and talking is better than being nervous!" Ochako tried to defend them, but Izuku could feel that the other boy was just as nervous as she was, so in turn, he placed a hand on his shoulder, "Hey, don't worry, just do your best, and I'm sure you'll do just fine."
"Damn," Hanta looked amused, "It seems this Midoriya is good at befriending everyone."
"Though it freaks me out that it almost seemed as though he read Iida's mind." Denki looked creeped out.
Kyoka rolled her eyes.
The gesture surprised the other two, but the taller boy felt reassured, so even with his first assumptions, he gave a perfect ninety-degree bow in thanks. Before anything else could be said, they heard the voice of Present Mic, "START!",
Izuku quickly grabbed hold of Ochako's and the boy's hands and started to run, pulling the two with him.
"Wait, there was no countdown," the still unnamed boy cried, "We must not be disrespectful to our fellow test takers by dashing off before the proper protocol has been met!"
"But didn't he say to start?" Asked Hanta.
"Y-yeah," Izuku scratched the back of his head. "Present Mic caught us off guard."
"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? THERE'S NO COUNTDOWNS IN REAL LIFE. GO, GO, GO!"
There were a few snorts upon seeing the other applicants' bewildered faces.
The applicants who stayed behind quickly started running, but the trio had already passed the gates. Izuku saw a mob of robots ahead. Letting go of the other two hands, he summoned his Keyblade and threw it toward the robots. The weapon spined like a buzzsaw cutting three one-pointers in half before hitting a three-pointer, throwing it off balance, "Come on, we have a test to pass!" Izuku said, retrieving his Keyblade in a flash of sparks.
"What the hell!" Shouted Denki.
Kyoka was exasperated with the weapon, "What next? Will that key start flying?"
Bola cackled in response.
While the hero hopefuls fought in one room with a long table and various monitors, the members of the teaching body of UA discussed the ongoing exam, and a small figure sat at the head of the table. That was Nezu, the principal of UA, sipping some tea, "The exam this year is doing well. We can perceive some individuals with fine qualities for hero work…."
Nezu was rather pleased to see himself on screen. He giggled when he heard his student point out the obvious on screen.
"The ability to gather information…." One monitor held a tall figure with six arms on the top of a building. The tip of his arms had extra eyes and ears.
Mezo looked calm as he crossed his hands on his chest.
"A calm mind in the face of danger…." Another monitor had a blond boy that seemed to sparkle, calmly destroying robots with a laser fired from his navel.
Yuga sparkled as he complimented how magnificent he was. "Magnifique~."
"Speed to breeze through obstacles…." The boy with exhaust pipes in the calves rapidly maneuvered and destroyed robots on another screen.
Tenya sat up straighter and stiff.
"Raw destructive power…." Bakugou was seen on top of a smoking pile of destroyed robots in another one.
Katsuki grinned cockily.
"But the rarest in today's society is the capability of foregone personal success and work with others to achieve a common goal" Nezu smiled while looking at one screen where Izuku was distracting robots so Ochako could use her quirk on them.
It surprised both Izuku and Ochako to see how much both of their counterparts were working together. They couldn't help but be jealous of them.
"And to think a Keyblade wielder would come to my school, this will be one interesting year," Nezu's voice was so low that no one heard it, no one except one man in a sleeping bag at the corner of the room.
"Hmm?" Nezu looked up in a curious hum. It would seem his alternate self knew something he didn't. He took a sip of his tea, which was given to him in a thermos. It will be exciting to discover what his alternate self knows.
"Interesting." His voice was so low that no one heard him.
"Wait, Nezu knows what that Keyblade is?" Denki asked in disbelief.
"More like he knows what a wielder is." Corrected Kyoka.
Momo hummed, "It shouldn't be too surprising that this Nezu would know. Our Nezu knows many things that we don't. So there isn't a stretch that the other Nezu would be similar."
There were a few mumbles of agreements.
"Well, I think it is time to give our potential students a real challenge," Nezu nodded towards another figure. That person opened a case with a big red button and promptly pressed it.
"Crap." Was the collective reaction of the students.
A couple of minutes earlier
Izuku and Ochako fought five one-pointers. With a Blizzard spell, Izuku froze one of them, letting the others that charged behind crash into it. Ochako then made all of them float with her quirk before jumping back, allowing Izuku to send the robots flying upwards with a couple of strikes from his Keyblade. She pressed the small pads in the tips of her fingers together, releasing her quirk, making the robots fall from six stories high to the ground below.
Izuku felt his stomach drop. How was this version of him doing better in the practical Entrance Exams than he did? Not to mention he was capable of speaking and working together with a girl he had just met without problems.
Ochako took notice of this, "Deku, what's wrong?"
Izuku gave her a weak smile, "It's nothing. I'm fine."
Ochako looked uncertain, and Eri also looked worried. Tenya also glanced worryingly at his green-haired friend. Shoto glanced at his friend, unsure of what to do.
"And that makes fifty each!" Izuku shouted with a fist pump. Ochako was about to reply when the ground started to shake. Suddenly one building next to them exploded, and a massive robot came out from inside.
Inko looked ready to faint. Sure, she saw that robot at the Sports Festival, but she still couldn't believe children, especially her baby, had to fight that monstrosity.
Ochako saw a piece of rubble fall their way, "Midoriya, look out!" She only had enough time to jump and push Izuku out of the crash zone.
"Oh no!"
"Uraraka!"
"We already have Midoriya being a suicidal hero! We don't need another one!"
Despite the horrifying scene, Izuku couldn't help but slump at that last comment.
BANG!
Izuku looked up from where he landed and saw a pile of rocks.
Gone was the feeling of self-consciousness, and instead was replaced with a cold terror. Izuku knew that Ochako managed to survive, but seeing it…wasn't pleasant.
"Look out!"
"Goofy, no!"
"This isn't happening. It can't be happening."
Everyone was horrified when Goofy pushed a person with a cartoonish mouse mutation and was smacked by a giant rock. Then there was desperation as Izuku, Donald, and the other teen who had his face glitched rushed to the fallen dog.
They also heard the two boys desperately and simultaneously grief over it. At the same time, the mouse was watching the whole thing from afar. He, too, expressed grief before the scene gets cut off with a glitch.
"Welp, he's dead," Katsuki said bluntly.
Izuku looked at him, scandalized, "Kacchan!" He called out for the blonde while making sure to keep Eri's eyes covered. Izuku saw where the scene was going and made sure to protect the girl from seeing anything traumatic.
Tenya was chopping his hands while berating the teen, "Bakugo! Show some respect to the fallen!"
Inko looked distraught that someone her other son had been close to had made a sacrifice. Granted, it wasn't her son. It was still depressing.
Nezu, while paying his respects to Goofy, couldn't help but be curious about the mouse. He had questions, but he will put them aside for now. It isn't often he is interested to see someone similar to himself.
With a desperate look, Izuku rushed to where he last saw Ochako, "Uraraka! Where are you?! Please say something!" His heart fell at each second of silence.
"Midoriya, I'm here!" Came the weak voice came from the pile of rubble, but to Izuku, it was the best sound in the world. Quickly approaching the place from where he thought the voice had come, he found Ochako below one of the bigger rocks. Her leg was stuck, and she was in a position where she couldn't use her quirk in it.
"Oh god." Inko had her hand covering her mouth. She never expected UA to have such dangers for the children applying.
A few other students paled or gasped in horror. "Uraraka!"
Iida and Izuku held pained expressions as they remembered that moment. Ochako grimaced when she remembered that particular moment when she had been so hopeless. Ochako had overused her quirk, and her leg had been injured as she was pinned down by debris. She had been so scared she wouldn't survive.
"Are you alright, Uraraka?" Momo looked concerned at the gravity girl. She had seen the zero-pointer in the sports festival, but to see how close to death one of her classmates was because of the robot brought up an ugly picture.
The girl forced a smile. "Yeah, I'm fine.
Ochako noticed Izuku looking concerned, and she couldn't help but make her smile more real. "Besides… I'm still here, ain't I?"
Izuku needed very little prompting, he only saw his friend needing help, and he wanted them to be okay, "Wait just a second, I'll get you out of there!" He grasped the larger rubble in an attempt to get her out.
"You're a good friend Midori." Grinned Mina. It became mischievous, "And you also were the knight in shining armor for the day!"
Izuku sputtered and turned as red as a tomato. Ochako, as red as Izuku, accidentally activated her quirk on herself when she placed her hands on her cheeks.
Thankfully, Tsuyu stopped her from going to the ceiling by wrapping her tongue around her leg. Dark grumbled, "If things keep getting annoying, I'm going to use a quirk suppressor from here on out."
Eventually, things calmed down, and Ochako deactivated her quirk.
"No, you have to run!"
"What!"
"Look behind you" Izuku did as she said, seeing the massive figure of the Zero Pointer towering over them. He felt like he was back on that fateful night, with another being looming over him and someone else, a pair of beady yellow eyes in the place of red lenses, pure darkness in place of metal. Looking back at the terrified face of his friend, he knew what he had to do.
Everyone felt the sudden rush of dread and fear. Aizawa narrowed his eyes at the monster before it flashback into the Zero Pointer. What was that thing?
Nezu had been writing every detail he witnessed.
Katsuki, while pushing down the feeling of dread, took notice of the glint in Izuku's eye and snorted, "Deku is gonna do something stupid."
The boy in question didn't look away from the screen, "Plus Ultra." Izuku knew himself enough to know what would happen even if he didn't live through a similar moment. Moreover, he couldn't regret it one bit.
Though he tried not to think about what his mom would do to him once she found out, he shivered.
[Play: My Hero Academia - You Say Run - Izuku's Theme]
"And here comes the music." Kyoka bobbed her head along with it. She had to admit that Izuku had an awesome theme song.
The metal colossus stretched his hand to end his victims. Izuku jumped on it, running up the arm of the giant.
"Holy shit!" Hanta shout wasn't the only one to sound out.
In the observation room, a skeletal figure stood up, All Might thought that after so many close encounters with death, he wasn't easily scared, but when a mountain of debris almost buried his successor, he nearly coughed blood. But now, seeing that flame in the boy's eyes, All Might couldn't help the smile that came back at full force. Watching the heroic display, he couldn't help but stand and say the exact words spoken to him so many years ago. "The most important quality of a hero, self-sacrifice, putting oneself into danger to keep another safe, is the true essence of a hero!"
Toshinori himself couldn't stop smiling.
"Hell yeah!" Ejiro cheered with a few of his classmates, "All Might really knows how to be a manly hero!"
Izuku ran toward the head of the metal behemoth with his heart burning, but that was not the only thing that answered his heroic call in him. A power passed from generations flowed through him.
With a final jump, he was above his enemy's head. The power of One For All flowed from his arms to his Keyblade. From it, a giant blade of light formed. At that moment, the words from Izuku's mentor once again passed through his mind.
"Wow!" Izuku stared in surprise as the other him activated One For All for the first time, and not only that but manifested it in a completely different way. "He's channeling One For All into Heroes Rising!"
"That's how he made that giant lightsaber?" Toru asked, the rest incapable of seeing her wide eyes.
"To use the power of One For All…."
"Clench your buttcheeks…."
"AND SHOUT FROM THE BOTTOM OF YOUR HEART. "
There was a beat of silence as everyone processed All Might's words. Then a few people started to snort and giggle, and soon the whole room was filled with laughter. The humorous scene ruined the exciting build-up of the moment.
Izuku blushed and sank down in his seat. "I am never going to live it down!" He wanted the ground to swallow him up.
"No wonder All Might gets all the fangirls! He's always- BHAHAHA!" Minoru burst out laughing.
"First eating the hair, now this, it's too much, man!" Deki wheezed while slapping his knee.
Toshinori was blushing in embarrassment and scratched the back of his neck. Aizawa gave the man a blunt, unamused expression while Nezu cackled in amusement.
Inko wasn't immune to the humor and giggled, her hand covering her mouth.
Izuku whined, "Now, every time I use One for All, they're going to think of that!"
"Well, I wouldn't say 'never.' Plenty of quirks cause strange side-effects or need very specific triggers." Tenya answered, trying his best to be comforting.
"Yeah, I'm sure it'll blow over," Ochako said. The fact that she herself was still giggling didn't make her statement very convincing.
Eri's lips twitched when Izuku moaned as he covered his red face with his hands.
"SMAAAASSSSSSHHHHHHHHH!"
Izuku brought the light blade down, tearing the robot's head in half, but it didn't stop. The blade kept going until it sliced the Zero Pointer clearly in half all the way down.
[End Music]
"WOOOH!"
"You did it, Midoriya!"
"You destroyed the robot like it was nothing!"
"I know, right?! That was so manly!"
Izuku smiled nervously as his classmates cheered and praised him. Inko, however, looked as though she was going to have a heart attack.
In the observation room, almost everyone cheered. Who wouldn't with such a display? Not just of power but of heroism. Nezu softly clapped. He knew that someone chosen by a Keyblade would not do any less, especially in a situation where lives were at risk (even if the security protocols would have stopped the robot before anything serious could happen).
The only person not showing any type of reaction was the man in the sleeping bag because he paid attention to what that reckless stunt caused.
Aizawa grumbled under his breath as he took notice of himself on the screen. Sure, he was in the dark about the truth about the teen's quirk at the time. He had a different perspective now and decided to focus on ensuring Izuku didn't damage himself while using his quirk.
He pointedly ignored his students, pointing out that he was on the screen. All he wanted to do was go back inside his sleeping bag and sleep. He had more than enough drama for one day. That, and a drink. Maybe he should check if Dark has any alcoholic beverages.
Izuku landed on the ground hard, his arms heavily bruised. He was pretty sure his left one was broken, and the blade of light dissipated in tiny glowing specks.
"Ohh!"
"That's got to hurt."
There was some hissing as everyone took notice of his busted-up hands. Inko looked as though her soul had left her body.
Izuku winced at the sight of his arms. While worst than he did, he still couldn't stop feeling self-conscious when he noticed how his other self only damaged his arms.
He had shattered his legs and right arm.
Looking up, Izuku saw the two halves of the robot falling backward. With a bang, the giant pieces of metal crashed to the ground, but Izuku was already running back to Ochako. He barely heard Present Mic announcing the end of the exam.
"Uraraka, are you hurt?"
"Classic Midoriya." Minoru scoffed. "Always caring for others before himself."
Hanta smiled in amusement, "I know, right?"
"Me? Midoriya, look at your arms! You have to go find help!" Ochako was shocked and amazed. This boy, who she barely knew, had done so much for her. Even while hurt, he was still worried about her. With watering eyes, she said, "Don't worry about me. You're hurt, just leave me here and go. The exam's over."
"Sorry, I can't do that. I can't simply leave my friend behind." Izuku, even with the state that his arms were, still tried to lift the rubble, pinning Ochako. It was the scene the tall boy with engine calves had found.
"Midoriya, while your loyalty is commendable, trying to lift heavy debris with your arms in that state is not a good decision." Fumikage sighed.
"Dude, you can say whatever you want, but Midoriya has balls of steel!" Denki gestured at the screen frantically, "I would have passed out just from seeing my arms like that, but he didn't even flinch!"
Bola snorted, "Pain can't stop that kid, that's for sure." He looked aside, and the audience could swear he was grimacing, "But try not to go too Plus Ultra when your bones turn into splinters, 'kay?"
"I already learned that lesson." Izuku rubbed his scarred arms with a sigh.
"His pain tolerance is certainly useful." Dark mused, "Took me a couple of deaths and lost limbs for me to achieve this."
"Wait, what?!" Denki asked and turned to Dark, who ignored him and had her eyes on her novel.
Sleppt simply sighed, covering his eyes with his hand, "We shouldn't be encouraging him to keep testing these limits so haphazardly."
Running towards the scene, he placed his hands under the rubble, "Let me help you." They lifted the debris enough for Ochaco to crawl out. When she was safe, Izuku felt the strength leave his legs, but the other boy caught him before he could fall.
"Thank You... I don't think we got your name yet."
"Yeah, class rep, where are your manners?" Quipped Denki, making a few of his classmates' laugh.
"Forgive me! Midoriya!" Iida stood up and bowed a perfect ninety degrees angle at Izuku. "I was just so nervous that I acted so rude!"
"I-it's alright, Iida. Really."
"Ah yes, my name is Iida Tenya. It is a pleasure to meet you."
"I'm Izuku, Midoriya Izuku, and my friend here is Uraraka Ochako. Thanks for lending a hand. Mine got a little busted wrecking that robot." Izuku, now seated on the ground beside Ochako, pointed to the pile of smoking metal with his relatively good arm.
Tsuyu chimed in, "I don't think I've ever seen Midoriya this straightforward with something."
"I also never saw him just joking about messing up himself." Hanta's point made some people consider if that was good or bad.
"Yes, that was impressive, but it looks like there is a serious drawn back, but even then, you did the best in that situation."
"I just did what any hero and friend would have. After all, it was only the right thing to do.'' Izuku smiled at Tenya and Ochako. The two looked at Izuku and couldn't help but smile themselves.
"So precious." Toru couldn't stop giggling.
Momo nodded, "I'll admit, that was pretty wholesome."
"Oh dearie, your own quirk did that to you?" an aged voice said. The three turned and saw an old woman in a hero costume and a giant needle she used as a cane.
"Recovery Girl! The youthful heroine, with one of the best healing quirks ever registered, can you please give me one autograph" Izuku entered his hero fanboy mode and pulled a notebook from...somewhere.
Shoto chimed, "That sounds more like the Midoriya we all know."
Katsuki smirked. "Yep, classic nerd fanboying immediately at the first pro he sees."
"Calm down now, dearie. You don't want to make your injuries worse" Activating her quirk, Recovery Girl's limbs extended, and with a kiss on the forehead of the three teens, she healed them with a green light.
"Huh, it's almost like a Curaga spell," Izuku mumbled, checking his arms. They're both completely healed, but he started to feel sluggish, "Now you three get going. The results will be sent soon, so go home and have some rest."
"Curaga spell?" Izuku's question didn't stop him from noting it down.
"I'll explain it." Bola snapped his fingers, and a blackboard appeared floating at his side, "The tier of a spell depends on their termination. A simple Cure is a tier one spell. A Cura, a spell that ends with ra, is a tier two spell. Curaga, ending with ga, is a tier three spell." At each part of his small lecture, a symbol of a leaf appeared on the board. It was bigger and brighter at each level. "Oh, and Cure-type spells heal if it wasn't obvious."
Izuku quickly copied all that into his notebook, "The other me knows magic then." Another advantage his counterpart had over himself.
Bola could almost smell the self-deprecating thoughts on the boy's mind, but he wasn't too worried. They had come up with a plan to solve that already. He cackled.
"That was fun, don't you think?" Izuku said as they headed towards the buses.
"Fun?! You almost died!" Shouted Ochako.
"W-well-! It's not really me saying it…." Izuku put his hands defensively with a sheepish look.
"How can you call that fun?! We almost died!"
"Yes! Exactly!" Ochako shouted towards the screen, gaining a few more laughs.
"Come on, Ochako, it wasn't that bad, and Tenya even helped us in the end," Izuku commented while walking back to the bus, not noticing the surprised faces of his companions.
"Geez, Midoriya," Mina snarked with a grin, "You barely knew them, and you're already using their given names!"
"It's not me!" Cried Izuku.
"Now, now Ashido, stop teasing Midoriya!" Tenya gave the girl a stern look.
Mina pouted but did as told. When Tenya looked away, Mina shot Izuku a look that this wasn't over. Izuku wallowed in despair.
"Midoriya-san, it is inappropriate to call us with such familiarity when we've barely met!" Tenya shouted while doing hand chops in the air.
"But, we're friends, aren't we? There's no problem in calling you by your first names then." Izuku replied like it was the most obvious thing in the world, once more overlooking the shock of the other two. It was surprising that he already considered them friends.
Fumikage closed his eyes. "Friendship seems to be the weapon of light that destroys the darkness of uncertainty."
In the end, Ochako smiled, "You're right, Izuku-kun, we beat the exam together, and now we'll go to UA, so we can all be friends, right Tenya-kun."
To say that the young speedster was surprised wouldn't be enough, but seeing the happy and kind smiles directed at him. Even with his formal upbringing, he saw himself wanting to agree with them. "I suppose you are right, then why not trade numbers and stay in contact? Then we can get to know each other better."
And that is how the day ended for our young Keyblade wielder. A challenge surpassed, new friends, and his dreams were closer than ever.
Toru jumped up as the screen went dark. "Oh, I love ending on happy notes!"
"Anyway, folks," Bola called their attention, "You can take a fifteen-minute break. Grab snacks, go to the bathroom, and do whatever. The only condition is that you can't summon a specter!"
"Wait, what?!"
"And don't summon Seath the Scaleless or Lord Gywn's hollowed corpses." Dark quipped as she went inside the mobile cart.
"WHAT?!"
Sleppt flew off, "And don't be summoning any dragons, or Bahamut. The theater is too small for them."
"WHAT?!"
"I take offense to that!" Dark shouted at Sleppt. "But seriously, don't summon my brethren. Otherwise, I would kill them." She smiled cheekily, "And then their hoard is mine! Which isn't going to help me control my greed."
"You know what…." Denki looked tired, "I think it's better if I don't ask."
"Wise choice Lord Denki."
After the three theater members dispersed, the students and adults went and used the bathroom and refilled on food supplies before retaking their seats.
With that, Izuku turned to look up at the rest.
With what sounded like a groan, Aizawa spoke up, a glass bottle of cold Steampunk Vodka at hand he'd gotten from the mobile food cart. Strangely enough, there was some ice inside. "So where do we begin?"
