Hey Yo! NerdRyuu here for the 7th chapter of Udan's Legends! I'll get straight to the point, I've been very burnt out writing, and my rhythm slowed to a craw, I usually like to post a chapter right after I finish writing the next chapter, but this time I didn't, I'm posting today because I've been trying to post at least one chapter per month, but I truly don't think I'll be able to do so for August, if I do, yay, if not, sorry, but I digress.
Let's check this month's questions!
Guest99: Will Luna and Sam join Lincoln later on on the story and will Lincoln gain a dark elf his harem?
Spoiler alert! just kidding, Sam won't be joining Linc and company, and Luna... Yes. And the second question, also yes... Mostly.
Tornado Man: Two questions Cass told Lincoln that the mural was split into pieces but it didn't say how many any chance we can see how many they have to find and will we see an orc joining Lincolns adventure in future chapters.
The exactly number of pieces I've not decided, but it won't be dozens and dozens, I imagine around 12 or a little more, for the second question, while some of the girls joining the party won't be human, None will be Orcs, maybe I'll introduce a side character that is, like IDK, Fiona or Mindy, but I don't know for sure, I kind of dislike introducing characters just to be a one off gimmick.
Dimitri Gomez: Maybe it was already said before and I forgot, but since when do they not have communication with the Archmage through his mirror?
It is said in a previous that one of the weird things happening in Udan IS the magic mirrors not working, they're not only a way of the sages to communicate with the Arch-mage, but also between themselves, the Reason why is a spoiler, so I won't be answering.
Well, without any other further ado, let's go!
DISCLAIMER: I do NOT own The Loud House
Before anyone could say anything further, Luna swung her axe on Lynn's direction but the knight swiftly dodged, the axe sunk into the floor and got momentarily stuck. Lynn tried to swing her sword, but Luna made a soft touch on Lynn's hand with the her free hand.
"What-"
Lynn gasped as she felt a strong vibration growing from the point Luna touched, with the vibrations, the movements of her hand became uncontrollable and her sword escaped from her fingers.
Luna gritted her teeth and violently pulled the axe off the floor, swinging it horizontally on Lynn's direction, but again Lynn dodged, by diving under it and the axe hit the side of the door frame, becoming again stuck.
Lynn used the sole of her boot to shove Luna's leg down, forcing the purple clothed girl in her knee, the knight's hand wasn't vibrating anymore, and Lynn used this to grab again her sword and pointed to Luna.
"Stand down!"
However the musician flicked her thumb over a string of her axe's handle and from the instrument's head a absurdly loud high-pitched note reverberated, the vibration it created unbalanced Lynn that used the sword as a crutch to not fall.
Luna used this brief opening to punch Lynn's face and get back to her feet, but the knight answered with a uppercut to Luna's jaw, making the musician slump back, finally dislodging the axe from the door frame.
The musician then strummed the strings of her axe, and a harmonic note resonated as loud as before, nut this time, the vibration it created not only pushed Lynn back but shattered the windows behind Lynn, making glass shards fly out with a screech. And then, another strum, the loud should made Lynn, that was still recovering from the last note, flew back, hitting the wooden wall and down to the bed, that immediately crumbled down.
Moments of silence succeeded as Lynn crawled off the crumpled bed. Her ears were ringing and she couldn't hear that well. She eyed Lincoln and saw the boy with his arm extended sideways as he but himself before Sam, assuring she wasn't caught on their fight.
Lynn then felt a cold liquid trailing down her ear. She paused and touched it. It was blood. She looked up to Luna. Tears streamed down her eyes and her teeth tensed painfully with the amount of rage the girl was feeling. Luna was instable on that moment. Lynn realized. Not attacking to jot the get arrested, but was just lashing out. Lynn didn't knew what they were discussing for sure, but Sam had sure put her on the edge.
"Stand down Acai." Lynn said slowly getting back on her feet. "You need to calm down! Or else I'll need to stop you!"
With her eyes still tearing, Luna grabbed the axe with both hands and rushed towards Lynn. The knight leaned forward with her hands ready.
When Luna got close enough, Lynn grabbed Luna's shoulder and arm, passed a foot behind one of Luna's feet and flipped Luna, knocking on her back.
The knight then put a foot over Luna's free arm and held firmly Luna's wrist, twisting it upwards so the pinned down girl couldn't used it.
Luna growled and tried to kick her way out, but Lynn stomped her other foot over the hand she was holding and tossed her body backwards. Lincoln was impressed at Lynn's flexibility, even with her heavy breastplate, she was able to grab both Luna's ankles and forced her legs forward.
Lincoln looked away blushing when she did that, in their position, Lynn was sitting on Luna's stomach, with Lunas' legs between her head and Lynn's both legs, pinning Luna's arms above her head, saying that it looked a little hot was… correct.
Lincoln shook this thought away as Sam shouted
"STOP YOU TWO PLEASE!" She pleaded.
"Yeah, I know we can resolve this with dialogue!" Lincoln spoke, still averting the look.
"She started!" Lynn said simply, but not letting Luna go. Sam sighed and turned to Lincoln.
"Sir Lincoln, Luna didn't kidnapped me. My mother doesn't let me leave the mansion. At all. Luna just wanted to help me, she helped me escape gave me this awesome new look as a disguise, and tried to get me to see the town. I didn't wanted anything of this to happen." Hearing this, Lynn finally let Luna's legs and arms go and even extended a arms to help the musician to get up.
"Sorry there Acai." Lynn said as Luna got back to her feet with a little of help of Lynn. "But you needed to calm down." She said, noticing something weird in Luna's hand.
"No, *cough* I was on the edge and exploded on you." Luna said coughing. Lincoln walked up to Lynn and put his hand over Lynn's ear, a soft glow emerged from his hand as the wizard healed his friend. Before Lynn could say anything, someone interjected
"WHAT HAPPENED HERE!?" They heard the voice of Chunk. The group turned around and saw the Orc enraged.
"Huh…" Lincoln said. "We partied way too hard?"
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY ROOM!?" He shouted furious.
"Mr. Chunk, please, I am Miss Samantha Sharp, and I was not kidnapped." Chunk's eyes widened, immediately darting to Luna. "I just wanted a little of freedom. And Luna wanted to help me." Sam explained. Chunk closed his mouth and let out a sigh. "I promise I'll pay for the damages!" Chunk looked at Sam with a crooked frown.
"Guards are coming." Luna said, interrupting Chunk before he could speak up. She looked out the window and saw three guards running to the inns direction. "Must've heard the fight."
"You need to get out of here." Chunk said finally. Confusing and surprising them. "Their orders are to immediately kill the people with Lady Samantha, not questions made." He explained walking back from the doorframe. "Go. I'll try to distracted them, although I don't think they'll listen to someone like me for long."
Sam was about to speak something when they heard heavy knocks coming from the front door down on the first floor. "Go!"
Luna immediately grabbed Sam by the hand and with the axe in the other hand, they jumped out of the window. Lincoln looked at Lynn and motioned his head to the window, asking if they should follow, Lynn nodded.
And so, they also jumped out the window.
And maybe Lincoln didn't thought this through, as the boy had to grab the ledge off the wooden column and scrape his hands to not plant his face into the floorboard.
"Come Linc, they went this way." Lynn motioned to a nearby bridge that led to a straight path between two buildings. They followed the path and managed to see Sam walking through a left corner.
When Lincoln turned left, the boy made a sudden stop as Luna's axe was pointed directly into his neck, if he stopped a mere second later, he would be dead.
"Oh, it's you two." Luna said swinging the axe back over her shoulder and pulling Lincoln close to hide him around the corner.
"Do you think Chunk will manage to get the guards off us?" Sam asked. Luna shook her head, taking a peak around the corner into the dark alley they came from.
"The guards bought that he didn't knew what *cough* was the noise, but still believe that You were there." Luna said. Lynn raised a eyebrow.
"How do you know that?" She asked. Luna just tapped her index finger in her ear.
"I call it Zettaiotokan, my perfect hearing. With *cough* concentration, I can hear even the breath of the smallest insect." She spoke, still peeking out the corner. Lynn was about to roll her eyes, but remembered about Lori's Kengengan. After fighting Luna and seeing she predicted they spying and the guards coming, doubting Luna would just flag her as a denialist.
"Does that has something to do with your hand?" Lynn asked pointing to Luna's free hand.
"What's with my hand?" Luna raised it and even with the dark of the alley, illuminated only by a little of the moon light, she saw several black patches on her hand. "WHAT THE HELL!?" Luna gawked letting her axe fall and getting stuck in the floor boards.
"Oh goddess!" Sam said putting her hand over her mouth. Luna rubbed her hand over the patches. These patches felt very smooth almost like a soft and flexible glass, it didn't hurt, but they didn't changed even a little after she rubbed.
"What is that Linc?" Lynn asked feeling a little disgusted. Lincoln had a concerned look.
"I don't know. I never or heard nothing like this…" She grabbed Luna's hand and pulled to see closer, not aware that this made Luna blush.
The young wizard gently examined the patches. They weren't warmer then the rest of the hand nor had a fowl odor. That patches were so smooth that reflected the little amount of light it came in contact with. Like a panel of glass, he could see something behind it, like a black twirling liquid.
"I'm not sure, but it may be some kind of disease." He said. This concerned everyone, and as Lincoln released her hand, Luna spoke.
"Great! *Cough* now this!" She grabbed her axe and with crack, dislodged from the wooden board. "Everyone step back." She said extending her deceased arm and raising the axe. Sam screamed and Lynn winced.
"NO!" Lincoln shouted grabbing Luna's deceased wrist right before she swung down the axe. "I'll find out what this is and how to cure , I promise. This won't be necessary."
"Why this was even your first option of action?" Lynn questioned. Luna sighed.
"My body is expendable as long it doesn't hinder the mission." Lynn raised her eyebrows in shock, along with Sam and Lincoln.
"This is not a very nice perspective of life." Lincoln said with a subtle smirk. Luna looked down for a second.
"I suppose it's not." She said finally letting a sigh. "But it's doctrine I was raised with." She said. "Lady Alenia forgive me…" She sighed. The black liquid within the patches in Luna's hand twirled as if more of it were being poured into it, and so, the patches increased in size by a tiny amount.
Lincoln tilted his head. Alenia. The goddess of Art and Music, patron of self expression.
"I may be a strange that you barely knows " Lincoln spoke, making Luna look at him. "I may not have the same experiences and expectations as you." He continued. "But if you are not happy with how your life is, you need to remember Alenia's words." Luna looked into his eyes and reflected his words. Her words.
It's your life.
Luna saw herself at that moment. She saw the life she was expected to have. That way of life wasn't for her. She wasn't a assassin. Not yet. Not ever.
"Don't disappoint us Acai."
And her voice crept onto Luna's mind, and her chest sunk. The patches in her hand grew again, now starting to creep up her wrist and forearm.
"This mission will prove that you are as capable as your sisters."
Luna remembered her words. Luna fell to her knees, letting her axe fall again, nearly cutting Lincoln's foot. Finally the weight of her failure had caught to her. The patches grew bigger and bigger, and soon, almost the entirety of her arm was pitch black.
"LUNA!" Lincoln, Lynn Sam quickly grabbed the nearlya Luna worried.
"Luna!" Sam shouted again. "HELP!" She shouted to the alley. "SOMEONE! HELP!" Lincoln looked at Lynn how sighed and looked at Luna.
"Pr-incess…" Was everything Luna could say before she lost conscience.
Sam marched straight into the main gates of the mansion she was prisoner for her entire life, being accompanied by Lincoln, Lynn and 2 guards that had terrified looks on their faces. One of them carried the unconscious Luna in her arms.
They never saw their kind lady so angry, it was terrifying, to the point they felt obligated to forget the orders of their Jarl and not kill the people Samantha was with on sight. But this also meant they were going to be on the chop block soon.
"MOTHER!" Samantha called as she kicked the main doors open, scarring the maid that was passing by on the entrance hall.
Soon enough, a older woman appeared atop of the main stairs, she was wearing a silver nightgown, had her golden locks wrapped back crudely her face was very similar to Sam's, but older. She looked like she has not slept for some time, as she got bags under her eyes and had no make up whatsoever.
That woman was Marionne Sharp, Samantha's mother and Jarl
The Jarl's eyes widened as she saw her daughter. Her eyes started to tear up and she let out a yelp of joy and ran down the staircase, almost tripping in her gown in her way down but she manage to throw herself onto her daughter's arms, hugging her tightly.
"Oh thank Alenia you're safe dear! I was so worried!" Marionne said between sobs. "And thank Alenia the guards saved you!" She continued looking at the two guards, who averted the looks, the Jarl then saw Lincoln, Lynn and the unconscious Luna.
"Who are them?" She said releasing Sam. In a dime, her tone of voice changed to a stern and serious tone. "Are these those who took my daughter from me? Guards, your orders are to execute them on sight. Do so."
"MOM!" Sam Shouted annoyed, catching the mother surprise. Her daughter never spoke to her with that tone. "We need to talk."
"Excuse me?" Marionne asked puzzled.
"They didn't kidnapped me. I was never in any danger with them in fact." Marionne tilted her head confused.
"I'm not understanding you my child. How they tricked you to leave me then?" Sam frowned annoyed.
"They didn't tricked me! I left by my own decision!" Marionne stepped back.
"Eh, why would you ever leave? Isn't the mansion good enough?" She asked concerned.
"No mom, it's not that!" Sam groaned pinching her forehead. "Mom, you've sheltered me since dad died! In other words, my entire life!" Marionne placed her hand over her chest, looking visibly offended.
"I'm protecting you Samantha! You don't know how much dangerous the world is out there!"
"Exactly!" Sam shouted. "I am nearly 20 and I had never even seen the city I am supposed to rule one day! I had never saw the beauty of our canals, the humble people I need to care for! And I saw it. The world outside may be dangerous, but it's also beautiful! The people may be bad, but it also may be good! And I've been out for just one day!"
"I'm not hearing this." Marionne spoke palming her face in sadness. "After all I did to protect you, it wasn't enough!" She continued her voice was breaking, like of she was in the verge of tears. "And in the end I am the bad guy!"
"Mom, I know you want the best for me! But locking me from the world won't prepare me for it! I won't be ready to go take your place!"
"AND I ALSO WASN'T!" Marionne snapped, shouting to her daughter, who stepped back also. Tear flowed streamed down her angry grimace. "When your father died, I was forced to step in while you grew."
Sam said nothing. She just observed her sobbing mother back. She thinned her lips and thought carefully on what say next.
"Locking me from the world won't bring him back." A long silence succeeded after that, being broken only by Marionne's sobs.
Lincoln open his mouth but hesitated before speaking up. It wasn't a matter that he was involved in, but he knew something about a lost relative, and he felt that what he had to say could be insightful for both of them.
"One lost loved one lives within the actions we do with them in mind."
Marionne slowly looked at Lincoln, who made a sad but understanding nod. The Jarl understood in that moment the look he had. That boy also had lost someone important to him. She lowered her gaze and reflected his words.
She closed her eyes and made a deep breath.
"This is not what Ernhard would want for her." Marionne whispered to herself.
The mother turned to her daughter again.
"Do you understand that I did that because I love you?" She asked. Sam sighed and nodded.
"I know mom. But I want to be free. Luna here showed me how big the world can be, how much things are to see, to hear, please mom, understand!" Marionne sighed and made a gentle smile, tears still streamed her cheeks.
"You've become so much like your father." She spoke. Sam lowered her look. Lynn patted Lincoln in the back and made a single nod when he looked at her.
"And it seems like you made good friends." Marionne added, making Sam gasp as she remembered Luna.
"Mom! Quick, Luna isn't good, we need Miss Erika!"
"Miss Erika? But why? Isn't that lass good?" Marionne asked before spotting her black arm and gasping. "Oh dear, Guards, Go get Miss Erika, My daughter's new friend needs aid! Tell her to find us in the guest room!"
The other guard nodded and sprinted to one door at the right of the hall. And the guard that carried Luna, accompanied by everyone walked to the left hall, where they found the guest room
The guard gently put Luna in the bed that was there, and left the room, leaving Sam, Lincoln, Lynn and Marionne on the room. The young wizard then gently grabbed her black arm that was laying by her side and gently put it over her chest. Lincoln noted that the arm was cold and smooth, he felt compelled to take a lot of care of that arm, because how fragile it felt in his hand.
Lincoln stepped back and bit his lower lip. He hoped the Sage could help her.
Far from Sarphel, in a north of the cold mountains of Haktum, far from the settlements of the local Orcs, laid a bit manor, big and beautifully kept, it's totally black color contrasted with the white snow that surrounded it. It's three towers pointing slightly inwards made the already pointy construction have a uncomfortable aura.
A thin woman observed the snow fall from the circular window that adorned the third floor of the manor. Her face was angular caver inwards, giving what once looked like a beautiful face a skeletal appearance. She had straight dark scarlet hair that with the whitish light from outside seemed more like a wine color.
She wore fine clothes made of silk that matched with her head and a angular crescent moon collar adorned with red gems, the decorations of the room she stood also had that color, making a very blood colored room, illuminated by the white light from the snow outside.
A knock in the door sounded behind the woman, who just responded with a simple "Enter."
The man that entered the room couldn't be more different from the wan, he was short, quite round, balding a grey bushy moustache and thick trimmed glasses that looked as old as the greenish clothes he wore.
He had his shoulders down and slumped forward, he seemed embarrassed and or fearful.
"Cerise, dear…" He spoke holding his hands to himself. The woman, called Cerise turned around and opened a content smile.
"Oh, Avocat dear, what do you bring to me?" She asked. The man seemed unsure to speak.
"A-Acai dear. She… still didn't returned from her mission..." He spoke. Cerise sighed and gave him a contempt look.
"It's hardly a surprise." She spoke. "I think I thought to highly of her." Cerise sighed after that, slowly walking up to a crimson colored chair and sitting it. "Where'd we got her wrong dear?" She questioned crossing her legs, Avocat gulped and walked to the sofa in front of the chair the woman was sitting, sitting on it.
"I-I don't know d-dear… we… You raised her just like Fraise and Framboise, and-"
"And they ended up as perfect daughters, just like me." Cerise made a pompous laugh, the small man laughed along nervously. "And Myrtille is going so great I'm her training, so young and yet, she's already able to rip a livestock head it's nothing." She let out a devious smile that made the man tremble. "And I'm excited for the future of small Mure." She darted her look across the room to the other side of the room, locating a baby crib made of wood tinted in the same crimson color as the rest of the room.
Cerise hummed in thought. "What is one bad apple when the tree's been so fruitful?" She asked to the little man. Avocat made another nervous smile and nod.
"D-do you think Acai will return?" He asked. The woman hummed again, looking at a window.
"Mmm… No… I don't think she will." Cerise answered. I hardly believe we'll see again to be frank." Avocat lowered his head, seeing him, Cerise added. "You don't need to worry dear, the bounty I designated her was nothing, I knew giving Acai a major mission was a risk, I already sent Fraise to kill the contractors, just in case." Avocat yelped in surprise.
"Yeah, that's what I was working about…" He spoke with his nervous smile. In reality, he wasn't worried of the mission, but for Acai. He was worried that he wouldn't be able to see his daughter again.
Thunderous knocks on the door startled Avocat and making Cerise look at the door. But before Cerise could answer, the door swung open.
Entered the room a towering woman, easily above 7 feet tall and a muscular yet thin frame. She was quite young and had short and spiky crimson hair, and wore deep red leather trousers and heavy boots, she wore a leather vest, similar to Acai's, but a little too short for her, she wore around her neck a oversized, very fluffy, very pink scarf that rid the lower part of her face. Around her muscular body, she had reddish patches of skin with a few yellow spots, making these regions of her skin oddly similar to the texture of a strawberry.
She walked up to Cerise, in her left hand, she held a bloodstained silver halberd with three prongs she held close to the head, making the shaft point upwards, and in the right hand, a dead severed head of a old mustached man.
She then tossed the head on the side table by the chair Cerise sat.
"Done." The young woman spoke with a cold tone.
"Wonderful Fraise!" Cerise clapped her hands, smiling. "As always." Fraise looked around for a second then turned back to Cerise.
"Acai failed." She spoke, not really asking, but affirming what she had just said. Cerise sighed.
"Indeed dear." Cerise responded. Fraise looked away to a window, observing that white snow for a second. Her left eye glowed green for another second. The young woman sighed closing her eyes. The green glow disappeared when she reopened her eyes and turned around to exit the room, but stopped and looked at her mother. "Oh Fraise dear, remember that to send another message to the Giullare household that if they don't pay what they're owe us, we'll have to take something ourselves."
Fraise nodded again. But not moved. Cerise then put her finger on her lip. "Mmm… Wait dear, didn't you said the Giullare's young lad is at age of marrying?" Fraise just nodded. "Mmm. Fraise, I changed my mind. Go tell Framboise that I have found someone to help pass our blood down. If Giullare don't pay, that boy will have to marry my Framboise!" She announced firmly." Fraise just nodded and resumed her exit.
"Are you sure Cerise?" Avocat asked. "Do you think Framboise is ready to marry?"
"Of course she is!" Cerise spoke turning to the small man. "She'll do whatever I tell her! She is almost 26 year old! The right age to produce descendants!" The man lowered his head again.
"Finally! With grandchildren, our arms will continue to grow! The family Lunarossa will become even stronger!"
"I actually don't know what this is, really." Erika, the Sage of Windholm of Sarphel spoke. It was almost morning. Lincoln frowned looking at the unconscious Luna. "But if had to guess, this decease in her arm is poisoning her blood… And It may be fatal." Erika, a dark-elf with silver eyes and jet-black hair spoke turning to Lincoln, Lynn and Sam, who also we're in the room, gasped. "I can isolate her arm's blood flow, this can buy me time to find what it is and find a cure."
"How much time do you need?" Sam asked clasping her hands together.
"If I had contact with the Arch-Mage, he could shine some light in my way, but I'll have to do this all alone… With the blood flow to her arm blocked, she may have two maybe three weeks… ish." Erika speculated.
"Would the Arch-Mage be able to cure her?" Lincoln asked. "Me and Lynn are going in a quest to speak with him." Erika nodded.
"The Arch-Mage is indeed a genius, his comprehension on magic is way beyond my own imagination, and I'm sure he could cure her in a instant. But me? I don't have knowledge or resources to cure her right now." Lincoln sighed.
"Lynn… do you think we could take her to Windholm with us?" the young wizard question.
"We could, but I don't know if the boatmen will allow her on board. Lincoln clicked his tongue.
Since they had to do take a detour by Sarphel to cross the Aramash Ravine, the would need to take a boat to cross the Sarphel Lake and take a route that took straight to Windholm and passes by the borders of the region of Annecia, that is basically just the Annecia sea with a large island as it's capital.
In the end, Lynn was right, they didn't knew what was Luna's sickness, and it could be contagious getting her in a boat that received other passengers was a big risk.
"We also don't have much time here Linc, I took a look at the boat schedule yesterday at the inn, the next boat leaves by seven and just tomorrow he'll be back." Lynn informed.
"Then it's better if you two get going soon." Sam interjected. "Your mission is a priority to Udan." Lincoln sighed, he really didn't wanted to leave Luna, but both of them were right.
He took a last look at the unconscious girl and nodded.
As soon as Lincoln and Lynn arrived at the Sarphel docks at the edge of the floating city, accompanied by a guard sent by Marionne, they saw a large wooden boat with several person sitting on the deck they all looked like they were waiting for the boat to sail off. A trio of sailors prepared to the voyage, loading barrels of supplies, ropes and one even hammered a loose board in the stern of the boat. A fourth man supervised them with a small notepad I'm hands, the man was large and broad, with a short brown beard and wore a blue bandana in his head. He had a tranquil yet solid look in his eyes while he watched the passengers
The guard approached the man. "Captain." He called, making the man look at the trio that approached him.
"What can I do for ya sir?" The captain asked with a gentle smile, pocketing his note and crossing his arms.
"I have a order from the Jarl to you." He said giving the captain a small piece of paper with the Sarphel Stamp on it. "You're taking these two with you in the voyage." He said motioning to Lincoln and Lynn. The captain raised a eyebrow to them and inspected the note once again and then shrugged.
"Al'right." He spoke, also pocketing the note. "If the Jarl wants you in my boat, board along." He motioned them to the boat. "I'm Captain Blueford, but ya can call me just captain Ford for short. Lincoln and Lynn nodded and he plank that served to board the boat.
"WAIT YOU TWO!" The duo looked back, and we're surprised to see who they saw walking with difficulty on their direction.
Luna approached then with Sam helping her stay afoot, with Luna's good arm around her shoulders the blonde looked worried, although the difficulty to walk, the brunette stubbornly strode forward with a sling on her debilitated arm, she had her axe on her back.
"Luna!" Lincoln exclaimed. Crossing the board back in a hurry. "You're awake!"
"Lady Samantha!" The guard exclaimed also raising his arms in surprise.
"Sorry Simon, but Luna-" Sam started explaining before Luna cut her off.
"You bet I am awake! Erika mended my arm for the time being, just in time to come with you!" She said with a side smile.
"Coming with us?" Lincoln questioned surprised. Luna laughed getting her good arm off Sam's shoulders and making a soft punch on Lincoln's chest.
"Come on, you didn't thought I was going to stay here with princess, didn't you?"
"Hey!" Sam spoke seeming slightly offended, but both girls then chuckled.
"Erika said the Arch-Mage could fix me in no time." Luna spoke finally. "Besides, I never saw myself staying in a single place for long anyway." She concluded shrugging.
"Uh…" Lincoln looked at the guard then to captain Ford, he had his arms crossed and a crooked eyebrow. Sam then stepped forth to the captain.
"Can Luna here also come with you, please?" She asked politely. Ford looked the guard.
"This gal is the lass of the Jarl is she?" He asked, the guard simply nodded, making the guard sigh, he grabbed a paper stick from one of his back pockets and flicked another stick on his other hand, lighting in fire and then he lighted the cigar, biting in the other end. "Just don't come too close to the other passengers or my crew, don't want them to get that stuff that is on ya arm." He said to Luna. The girl nodded and smiled to Linc. Lynn crossed her arms looking from inside the boat, with doubtful smile.
"Are you sure you are good to go with them?" Sam asked Luna concerned. Luna snorted.
"Don't worry princess, a bad pot does not break easily." She said turning to the friend. "And I'll come to check on ya, to see if yo mama didn't mess up again." Sam laughed.
"Thank you Luna…" Sam stopped, thinking deeply on what she could say next, but before Sam could continue, Luna interjected.
"I know princess. And now… I'm going to change my own life forever."
N/A: This chapter was a little shorter than the last one, but was packed with stuff, mainly about Luna, at the moment, I can't get too in depth with her illness, but I can talk about other stuff, like her abilities, that thing in Luna and Lynn's fight was a extension of her ability Zettaiotokan , that roughly translates to "absolute hearing". At least it's what the Japanese dictionary said. The touch sends small sound waves through the person's body, forcing it to lose control, like it did to Lynn.
The ending of this chapter was supposed to be the beginning of the next one, but I thought that opening that chapter with Luna joining the group after leaving in cliffhanger of her wellbeing would be lame.
I have not much to add with the scene at the end but it's the introduction to Luna's family and effectively true name Lunarossa Acai.
Fun fact! Every one of the Lunarossa family's names is a berry/fruit name in some different languages, like French, Fraise for example, is strawberry. Lunarossa itself means blood moon! Why? You'll see soon!
Speaking of Fraise, she is inspired by Katakuri from One Piece, with a sprinkle of strawberries on top. Her skin patches are actually a made up skin decease that she was born with!
