07/21/2656- Drusara Republic of the Baranuvrin League Passes Procurement Bill for Military Equipment

"Today, the Drusara Republic approved the procurement of a large amount of military equipment. The main focus of the program is the replacement of the Republic's aging fleet and planetary defenses. The Republic will, over the next 10 years, replace 16 of its oldest Destroyers and Cruisers with new vessels, while also increasing its Destroyer force by an additional 8 and constructing a new flagship for the fleet, a state of the art Heavy Cruiser. Also, 4 new surface to orbit mass accelerator batteries and 6 new orbital mass accelerator stations are planned for construction. The Baranuvrin League has agreed to pay for half of the new program, making the Drasara Republic the first of its members to benefit from its new military grant program implemented earlier this month."
