Hello and welcome back to another chapter of TPM!
I am so sorry for the long delay. A lot has happened in the real world, the pandemic, the riots, trying to find inspirations, and going on a family trip. Don't worry, I haven't given up on my stories yet.
To answer the question about Paul catching a Pokemon that Trip owns, that was unintentional. I forgot that Trip had a Timburr in the anime. I gave Paul a Timburr to expand the variety of Pokemon he can obtain and this won't be the only time that Paul catches a Pokemon that he doesn't have in the anime. And this'll apply to any Pokemon character that may appear in this story.
I know I already said this in an early chapter, but just to set the record straight after seeing one of the recent reviews: Ash will NOT be getting Charizard in this story. I'm sorry for those that wanted him to get one and I am aware that it's one of his best Pokemon. It's because Natsu and a couple of people in mind will have Charizard and I don't want to repeat the same Pokemon numerous times. Plus, I already got a fire type in mind for Ash.
To recap what happened last time, Ash, Natsu, Gray, Lucy, Erza, and Makarov have an encounter with Ash's new rival, Paul. The two of them have a battle to settle the score from their previous fight, only for everyone to get separated by an Ursaring. During that time, Ash and Treecko got to understand each other a bit more while Paul ended up catching a Timburr. After exiting Clover Forest, Ash and Paul continued their battle and despite putting up a good effort, Ash and Treecko lost to Paul and Chimchar.
With our heroes out of Clover Forest, what is in store for our Fairy Tail mages? To find out the answer, let's get started!
Save File 10 - Wild, Wild Bull
Fleesia Valley
The Fairy Tail Mages are walking down a road as they see a bunch of colorful flowers on the field.
"Wow, the flowers look so beautiful." Lucy said in awe.
"Klefki Klefki (And they're colorful too)!" Klefki giggled with delight, floating around her trainer.
"What's so special about these flowers?" Natsu asked, crouching down to look at the flowers.
"Those flowers are not just for picking." Makarov informed. "They symbolize the heart and pride of Fleesia Town."
"What do you mean by that, gramps?" Gray asked.
"A long time ago, this valley was nothing but a wasteland." Makarov answered. "There was no wizard or Pokemon living in the area. But one day, a mythical Pokemon appeared and brought life to these plains and it eventually led to the evolution of Fleesia Town. Both Wizards and Pokemon began to work together in order to keep the flowers growing."
"A Mythical Pokemon?" Ash asked.
"That's correct." Makarov answered with a sagely nod.
"Wow, to think that one Pokemon is capable of creating this." Lucy admitted as she looked at the numerous grass and normal type Pokemon enjoying the field of flowers. "There are so many Pokemon here."
The grass and normal type Pokemon continue to sniff and watch the flowers until they hear what appears to be rumbling sounds. They turn around, only for them to scream as they run away in fear.
"Wait, why are they running?" Gray asked, crossing his arms as the fairy tail mages heard the rumbling sound.
"Was that a storm?" Ash asked as he looked up in the sky. "Weird. The sky's still sunny."
"It's definitely a Pokemon." Natsu confirmed after sniffing a few times.
The fairy tail mages look at the left side of the field as they see a pack of Pokemon running away while a Tauros moos loudly.
"(Come on, play with me)!" Tauros shouted with excitement.
"(Don't crush us)!" The other Pokemon shouted.
"Whoa, what's a Tauros doing here!?" Lucy gasped in surprise as she took out her Pokedex and pointed at the Tauros chasing the other Pokemon.
[Tauros - The Wild Bull Pokemon. After heightening its will to fight by whipping itself with its three tails, it charges at full speed and won't stop until it hits its target.]
Tauros continues to chase the Pokemon, only for them to get away after splitting up.
"(Aww, I just wanted to play)." Tauros cried in sorrow. He looks down to see the flower bed and sniffs it before smiling as he starts eating the flowers in front of him.
"H-Hey! That Tauros is eating those flowers!" Lucy exclaimed in annoyance.
"I know that Tauroses are herbivores, but I didn't know they eat flowers." Gray admitted with a sweatdrop.
"Do flowers even taste good?" Natsu asked, wondering about the different flavor of flowers.
"I don't think eating the flowers will be a good idea." Ash warned, only for Natsu to grab a handful of flowers.
Natsu flung the flowers into his mouth and began chewing on them, only for his face to turn green as his cheeks puff up. He quickly looks in every direction before spotting a river, prompting him to run towards the river as he spat out the flowers. He scooped up some water with his hands and drank it to wash away the after taste.
"So how were the flowers?" Gray teased with a smirk.
"Shut it, Icy Jerk!" Natsu shouted in annoyance. "Why didn't you guys tell me sooner!?"
Ash and Pikachu made a poker face while Erza and Lucy pinched their noses in disappointment, Gray continued to chuckle, and Makarov let out a sigh.
"So what's a Tauros doing here?" Lucy asked, looking at the Tauros eating flowers.
"Wait! Don't get too close to it!" Makarov warned out of fear.
Tauros heard footsteps and looked up before his eyes bugged out upon seeing Lucy.
"Uhh. Hello?" Lucy waves awkwardly with a small laugh.
"(You)..." Tauros growled as steam came out of his nostrils. He dragged his front left hoove back a few times before charging at Lucy.
"Ahh! I'm sorry!" Lucy screamed with tears in her eyes. She plans to run, but realizes that it's too late as Tauros is close to her.
"LUCY!" The five Fairy Tail wizards cried out in unison before taking out their pokeballs, getting ready to save the blonde girl.
"Hahahahaha!"Everyone started to have puzzled expressions on their faces as they could see Tauros licking Lucy's face. "Stop! Stop! That tickles!" She begged as she continued to laugh.
"What's going on?" Ash asked as the others walked over to her.
"I thought Tauroses always attack people." Natsu said, even more confused than before.
"It's true that Tauroses are aggressive by nature." Erza admitted. "But they can be gentle if they're raised properly."
"There you are." Tauros froze in fear as he heard a familiar voice. He looks back to see a dark skinned teenager with black and orange hair in the shape of a flame and red eyebrows. His attire consists of a pair of red shorts with a black outline and sandals with the same color scheme. "What did I tell you about running off like that?"
Tauros looks down in sorrow as he walks over to the teen, allowing Lucy to stand back up on her feet and wipe off the grass that is stuck to her clothes.
"Is that your Tauros?" Lucy asked.
"Not exactly. This Tauros belongs to my family's ranch." The teen answered.
"Your family's ranch?" Natsu asked.
"That's right. My family is the owner of Fleesia Ranch." The teen stated before noticing the emblems on Lucy, Natsu, and Erza. "Wait, are you all from Fairy Tail?"
"That's right." Ash answered as he removed his glove, revealing his fairy tail mark. "My name's Ash. And this is Pikachu." He points over to the electric mouse Pokemon on his shoulder.
"Pikachu (Hello)!"
"Hello, I'm Lucy and this is Klefki." Lucy pointed over to the KeyRing Pokemon.
"Klef (Hi)!"
"I'm Natsu." Natsu greeted with a grin.
"My name's Gray." Gray waved.
"It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Erza." Erza greeted professionally.
"I'm Makarov. I'm the Guild Master of Fairy Tail." Makarov greeted sagely.
"Wait, you're the guild master!?" The teen exclaimed in shock. "I thought that guild masters usually stay at the guildhall."
"I just got out of a meeting with the other Guild Masters." Makarov informed the teen, allowing him to calm down. "What's your name, young man?"
"My name's Kiawe." He introduced while placing a hand on Tauros' fur. "And I'm sure you met one of the Pokemon at my family's ranch: Tauros."
"(Hello)!" Tauros mooed with joy.
"Your Tauros is really hyper." Lucy pointed out nervously. "But not in an aggressive way! I mean in a playful way!"
"That's because this Tauros is still young." Kiawe answered as Tauros licked him on the cheek. "He has a bit of a habit of running out of the ranch so he can play."
"If I remember correctly, your family's ranch is one of the few ranches in Fiore that are responsible for producing MooMoo Milk." Erza recalled.
"MooMoo Milk? Then that means you got a lot of Miltanks at the ranch." Gray added.
"It's not just Miltanks and Tauroses." Kiawe said. "We also have a lot of other Pokemon residing at my family's ranch."
"Do you mind if we take a look?" Ash asked.
"If it's alright with your Guild Master." Kiawe said as the fairy tail mages looked over to their guild master.
"I'll be glad to accompany you." Makarov accepted with a smile.
"Sweet! Thanks Gramps!" Natsu cheered.
"Follow me." Kiawe beckoned the fairy tail mages to follow him and Tauros as they began to make their way to the ranch.
"So what else does your family do at the ranch?" Gray asked.
"It's also a Pokemon Daycare for any Pokemon Mage passing by." Kiawe answered.
"Pokemon Daycare?" Natsu asked with a puzzled expression on his face.
"It's where you can drop off your Pokemon so they can be raised by other people." Lucy said before looking at Kiawe. "Is that right?"
"Yes, that's correct. It's reliable for raising your Pokemon to get stronger while you travel." Kiawe stated. "And if you're lucky enough, you might be able to get a Pokemon Egg."
"Hey, I remember those." Natsu recalled with a smile. "That's how I got my Munchlax."
"Really? Your got your Munchlax from an egg?" Ash asked in shock.
"Yup. He's been with me and Charmander for a long time." Natsu answered before taking out a pokeball. "Munchlax, come on out." The pokeball opens up as Munchlax appears next to Natsu.
"Munchlax (Hello)!" Munchlax waved.
"Mind if I take a look at your Munchlax?" Kiawe asked, earning a nod from Natsu as Kiawe got on his knees before staring at the Big Eater Pokemon. He leans in before petting Munchlax on the head, earning a happy growl from the Pokemon.
"So what do you think?" Natsu asked with a toothy grin.
"Your Munchlax is in good condition. I can tell you did a good job raising him." Kiawe commended as he stood back up.
"He didn't do it alone." Makarov brought up. "He had the help from everyone else in the Fairy Tail Guild."
Munchlax smiles brightly before he starts to sniff a few times. He turns around and sees a small flower bed nearby, prompting him to walk over to them before he starts to eat the flowers.
"Lax (Yummy)!" Munchlax said with his mouth full as he continues to eat.
"He likes them!?" Natsu exclaimed in shock and annoyance. "That's not fair! How come Munchlax can eat them just fine and I can't!?"
"Maybe because Munchlax has better taste buds than you." Gray chuckled as everyone laughed in amusement.
"Hey Kiawe. Is it alright for these Pokemon to be eating the flowerbed?" Lucy asked with a small hint of concern in her voice.
"There's nothing to worry about." Kiawe reassured. "There are a bunch of grass types that help out with the flowers." As they continued walking, Gray ended up stepping on something squishy, causing him to immediately wipe his feet in disgust. "Oh yeah, you might wanna watch your step."
Natsu laughs in a mocking tone while pointing at Gray, only to get smacked in the head by the ice mage. He growls in annoyance while the two mages glare at each other during the walk.
"So do you assist your family with the ranch and daycare?" Erza asked, occasionally looking back at Natsu and Gray as the two boys pretended to be getting along to avoid her wrath.
"I'm mostly in charge of looking after the ranch and delivering MooMoo Milk." Kiawe answered. "But I do help around now and then."
"So what does the rest of your family do?" Ash asked.
"My mom and sister take care of the daycare while my dad manages the business." Kiawe said before opening the gate as everyone arrived at a giant farm with four red and white buildings. They looked over and saw a bunch of Tauroses, Miltanks, Mudbrays, Mareeps, and Lillipups.
"Wow, there's so many Pokemon on your ranch." Ash said in awe.
"Aww, those Mareeps are so cute in person~!" Lucy gushed with hearts in her eyes as she pointed her pokedex at them from afar.
"So that's a Miltank." Gray said as he pointed his pokedex at the Miltanks.
[Mareep - The Wool Pokemon. When Mareep's wool builds up with static electricity, its size doubles.]
[Miltank - The Milk Cow Pokemon. Miltank produces very nutritious milk, a perfect drink for reviving sick Pokémon. Miltank are very even-tempered and prefer not to battle.]
"So your family raised all of these Pokemon residing in the ranch?" Gray asked as he and Lucy put their Pokedexes away.
"That's right. We need to make sure that the Pokemon are healthy and happy living here." Kiawe said as the young Tauros made his way over to his herd.
"That must've been a lot of work." Lucy brought up, noticing the amount of Pokemon in the ranch.
"I don't really mind that much." Kiawe admitted. "It helps me get to know Pokemon a lot better."
"Wow, what are those Pokemon?" Natsu asked as he spotted a pack of Mudbrays eating grass and dirt on the ground, prompting him to point his Pokedex at them.
[Mudbray - The Donkey Pokémon. Mudbray are stubborn and independent by nature. Their daily routine includes eating dirt and frolicking in the mud they kick up.]
"Wow, so that's a Mudbray." Natsu said as he and Munchlax got close to one of the Donkey Pokemon.
As the Mudbray continues to eat, a singular piece of grass tickled its nose, causing it to squirm
"Br...Br...Br… (Ah… Ahh… Ahh…)" Mudbray lifted its head up.
"Hey, you okay?" Natsu asked in concern.
"Lax (What's wrong)?" Munchlax asked as he and Natsu leaned in closer.
"MUDBRAY (AHHCHOO)!" Mudbray sneezed as he vomited out a bunch of mud onto Natsu and Munchlax's faces.
"Natsu! Munchlax! Are you two okay!?" Lucy asked in concern as everyone else turned around.
"Oh yeah, you shouldn't get too close to Mudbray or you'll get muddy." Kiawe said. "Sorry for not warning you ahead of time."
Natsu and Munchlax got up and turned around, revealing their muddy faces to the group.
"It's cool... " Natsu sighed as he and Munchlax attempted to remove the mud off their faces with their hands.
"I guess that's one way to get a mud bath." Ash joked awkwardly.
"In a rather grotesque manner." Erza sighed with a deadpan expression on her face.
"Dang it, why is it so hard to get rid of!?" Natsu shouted in annoyance until he and Munchlax felt two towels landing on both of their heads.
"Why don't you use a towel?" Natsu heard a voice and grabbed the towel, prompting him to turn around to see a dark skinned woman with black hair tied up in a ponytail and red bangs that lifted up, wearing an orange strapless shirt, skirt, and sandals.
"Thanks." Natsu smiled as he and munchlax used the towels to wipe the mud off their faces.
"Everyone, this is my mom." Kiawe introduced.
"It's nice to meet you. I'm Sima." She said with a smile as the fairy tail members greeted back. "So what do you all think of our Pokemon?"
"They all look great." Ash answered before looking at the Pokemon in the field. "I wonder how they're able to stay healthy and strong."
"It's all thanks to the soil and grass." Kiawe answered.
"The soil and grass are rich and healthy thanks to the climate of Fleesia Valley." Sima explained. "The milk our Pokemon produce is packed with vitamins and nutrients."
"Does it taste good?" Natsu asked with a small hint of drool dangling from his mouth.
"Munch (So hungry)." Munchlax drooled.
"It sure does." Sima laughed before raising a hand up and shouts- "Honey! Can you bring us some ice cream?"
"I'm on it!" A middle aged man with glasses and a fancy like outfit waved back. He got up from his seat and walked out with a tray of six big ice cream bowls: the first two being plain, the third bowl with strawberries and strawberry sauce, the fourth bowl covered with chocolate and nuts, the fifth bowl covered in caramel, and the sixth covered in sprinkles.
"Whoa, those bowls are huge!" Ash exclaimed as he, Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Pikachu, Munchlax, and Klefki have stars in their eyes.
"They look so yummy~!" Natsu said with glee.
"The toppings are also made from our ranch." The bespectacled man stated.
"Hey, are those business cards?" Gray asked, noticing six business cards near the bowls.
"That's right. My name is Rango." He introduced.
"My dad's in charge of the finances and technical operations at the ranch." Kiawe stated.
"Help yourselves." Rango said, setting the tray down.
"Thank you so much!" The fairy tail mages said as they all grabbed a respective bowl and card: Ash and Pikachu with chocolate and nuts, Natsu and Munchlax with sprinkles, Lucy and Klefki with caramel, Gray and Makarov with plain, and Erza with strawberry. They all grabbed a spoon, with the exception of Klefki and Munchlax, and took a bite out of the ice cream.
"Wow, it's so sweet~!" Lucy squealed with delight with hearts in her eyes.
"Klef Klef (So good)~" Klefki sighed with satisfaction.
"Wow, this is great!" Natsu said as he and Munchlax are eating the ice cream fast.
"I gotta say, this is pretty good." Gray admitted with an amused smirk.
"I can definitely taste the vitamins and nutrients." Makarov said.
"This is delicious." Erza said with stars in her eyes as her lips had a milk mustache on it.
"Uhh Erza." Ash does his best to not chuckle by holding a hand over his mouth. However, he ends up bursting in laughter and lowered his hand. "That's a nice mustache."
"A mustache?" Erza looks down at her lips before wiping it off while chuckling
"Something wrong Erza?" Lucy asked.
"It appears that I'm not the only one with a mustache." Erza pointed out, causing Ash, Lucy, Natsu, and Gray to look down at their lips as they all have a milk mustache.
"I guess we went a little overboard with the ice cream." Lucy laughed as she and the other fairy tail mages, with the exception of Erza and Makarov, wiped their lips to remove the milk mustache.
"There's nothing wrong with enjoying treats now and then." Sami reassured with a soft laugh.
Kiawe then looks over to see a little girl with the same hair color as him, but wearing a red and white dress and sandals, carrying a giant milk container.
"Oh no!" Kiawe cried out as he ran after her.
"What's wrong?" Lucy asked in confusion.
"Watch out, Mimo!" Kiawe shouted and jumped over her and snatched the milk container out of his hands, causing him to slide away from the girl named Mimo. "Are you okay!?"
"Of course I'm okay!" Mimo pouted in annoyance before storming over to Kiawe. "I just wanted to help out!"
"I'll take care of this, Mimo." Kiawe denied while holding the container over his shoulder.
"You always do this, Kiawe!" Mimo pointed out in anger while the Fairy Tail mages walked over to the two. "Why can't you let your little sister help out?"
"Little sister?" Natsu and Ash asked in unison.
"That's right. This is Mimo. She's my precious little sister." Kiawe answered as he walked away to put the container in storage.
Makarov notices the expression on Mimo's face, causing him to sigh before he walks over to the little girl. "Here you go, young one. This'll cheer you up." He said, holding out his bowl of ice cream.
"Really? Thank you, Mister!" Mimo smiled as she took the bowl of ice cream and started eating it.
"Seeing Kiawe work so hard makes me want to help." Ash admitted with a smile.
"That sounds like fun to me." Natsu agreed. "Maybe I might be able to battle one of them."
"Is fighting the only thing that comes to mind when you see those Pokemon?" Gray asked with a deadpan expression and an unamused tone.
"You all want to help?" Sima asked as she overheard their conversation. "Very well, I'll take up your offer."
"Hey, why don't we let our Pokemon help out as well?" Lucy suggested.
"Excellent thinking, Lucy. This'll give them an opportunity to bond with the Pokemon residing in the ranch." Erza agreed as Pikachu, Klefki, and Munchlax walked over to an empty space on the field.
The Fairy Tail mages, except for Makarov, took out their pokeballs and tossed them into the air, sending out the Pokemon in order: Froakie, Starly, Treecko, Charmander, Fletchling, Venipede, Ralts, Totodile, Snorunt, Heracross, Ivysaur, and Honedge.
"Listen up, guys." Ash spoke up while the Pokemon looked at their trainers. "We'll be helping out around the ranch, so we want you to help out as well."
"Lucy and I will take care of the Day Care residing within the ranch." Erza stated. "So our Pokemon will be tagging along."
"Me, Natsu, and Ash can handle the field work." Gray said as he's suddenly now shirtless.
"At least put on a shirt while working!" Lucy shouted.
"I don't want it to get dirty." Gray explained.
"You do make a good point." Lucy admitted with a sigh.
"What about you Gramps? Do you want to help us?" Natsu offered.
"I do appreciate the offer, but I think I'll help Rango." Makarov reassured in a sagely tone.
"Alright, everyone. Let's get to work!" Sima said with enthusiasm as the fairy tail Pokemon cheered with excitement.
With the boys
Natsu, Gray, and Ash finish putting on red rubber gloves with a bucket of water and sponge near their legs while their Pokemon are carrying patches of grass.
"We're all set." Natsu said with a toothy grin.
"Hey Kiawe, do you have any Pokemon with you?" Ash asked out of curiosity.
"Yeah, but I only have one." Kiawe answered. "Would you all like to see?"
"Sure. I'm curious to see what you got." Natsu said with excitement.
"Alright. Turtonator, let's go!" Kiawe shouts as he tosses his pokeball, sending out Turtonator.
"Turt (Hello)!" Turtonator shouted with a fiery passion.
"Holy crap, you got a fire and dragon type!" Natsu said with stars in his eyes.
"Wow, it looks strong." Ash said with an amused tone before taking out his pokedex and pointing it at Turtonator.
[Turtonator - The Blast Turtle Pokemon. It lives in volcanoes and eats sulfur and other minerals. Materials from the food it eats form the basis of its explosive shell.]
"Where did you even get this Pokemon? Aren't they rare?" Gray asked.
"They are." Kiawe said as he petted Turtonator on his head. "But this Turtonator is special. He originally belonged to my grandpa, but he gave it to me when I turned 10."
"That's really nice of him." Ash said with a soft smile.
"Is he strong?" Natsu asked as he got up in Kiawe's face, much to his surprise. "I really want to battle it. Heck, I want to catch one so badly."
"Natsu, aren't you forgetting something?" Gray asked with an unamused tone while holding up the bucket.
"I'll tell you more about Turtonator after we're done working." Kiawe said as he took a sponge out of the bucket. "Pay close attention. We wash Mudbray once per day just like this." He gets on his knees and starts washing Mudbray's back. "When you wash them, you have to keep a constant rhythm. If they get uncomfortable, then change rhythms."
"Mudbray (Feels nice)." Mudbray said with a yawn.
"They even sometimes fell asleep." Kiawe said with a soft chuckle.
"I think I got it." Gray said as he started to wash the second Mudbray's back. "How's this?"
"Not bad. But make sure you don't wash them too fast." Kiawe informed.
"Here you go." Ash said as he started to wash another Mudbray's back.
"Hey, this isn't so bad." Natsu admitted as he joined the rest for washing the Mudbray.
Meanwhile, Turtonator is guiding Natsu, Gray, and Ash's Pokemon, with the exception of Starly and Fletchling, on moving the patches of grass. Turtonator and Heracross took care of the heavy load while the rest took care of the smaller loads.
"Froa Froa (Here you go)." Froakie said, handing the pile to Heracross.
"Hera (Thanks)." Heracross said as he placed Froakie's pile into the big one.
Froakie was about to hop back to get more, only to see Treecko leaning against a pile with a rather displeased expression on his face.
"Froakie (Treecko)?" Froakie called out as he hops over to the Wood Gecko Pokemon, prompting the latter to look away. "Froakie Froa? Froakie Froakie Froa (Is something wrong? You've been a little moody lately)."
"Treecko (It's nothing)." Treecko scoffed while playing with the twig in his mouth..
"Froa Froakie (It's okay, you can tell me)." Froakie reassured with a comforting tone.
Treecko glances at Froakie before letting out a hefty sigh. "Treecko Treecko Tree (I feel like I'm doing poorly)." He explained.
"Froa Froakie (What do you mean)?" Froakie asked.
"Tree Tree Tree (I'm talking about my battle streak)." Treecko answered while clenching his fist. "Treecko, Tree Tree. Tree Tree, Tree Tree Treecko (Ever since I was captured, I've been losing. It's one thing to lose to you and Ash, but losing against a jerk like Paul)?"
"Froakie Froakie (It's natural to lose)." Froakie explained. "Froakie Froakie Froa (I've learned that you can always take defeat as a way to make yourself stronger)."
"Tree (Really)?" Treecko asked skeptically.
"Froa (Of course)." Froakie nodded. "Froakie Froakie Froakie (I'm sure Ash and the others will help you get stronger)."
Treecko looks away for a moment, crossing his arms in doubt before looking back with a determined grin.
"Treecko (You're right)." He said as he clenched his fist. "Treecko Treecko (I'll prove Paul that I'm not weak)."
"Froa (Good)." Froakie smiled. "Froa Froakie, Froa Froa Froakie Froa (But if you want, I could beat Chimchar for you next time)."
"Tree Tree. Tree Treecko (Yeah right. I'm beating him next)." Treecko declared.
"Froa, Froa Froakie (No, I'm beating him)." Froakie said back as the two Pokemon are now headbutting each other.
"Tree Tree (No, me)!" Treecko shouted.
Pikachu, Charmander, Totodile, and Snorunt saw the two Pokémon arguing, prompting them to rush over to the two.
"Pika (Wait)!" Pikachu shouted as he and Totodile got in between Froakie and Treecko.
"Totodile Toto (Please save the fighting for later)." Totodile pleaded.
"Treecko/Froakie (Stay out of this)!" The two Pokémon shouted as Froakie's hand and Treecko's tail glow white before slamming Pikachu and Totodile into the pile of grass.
"Pi (Ouch)..." Pikachu groaned in pain.
"Dile (Not cool)..." Totodile wheezed in pain.
"Snorunt Snorunt Snorunt Snorunt (Not good, not good, not good, not good)!" Snorunt panicked while running back and forth while Treecko and Froakie started to have a brawl, creating a cloud of dust.
"That takes care of another one." Ash said as he petted Mudbray.
"Mudray (Thank you)." Mudray said as it walked away from Ash.
"Good. At this rate, we'll be done before we know it." Kiawe said before noticing their Pokemon gathering up. "Wait a minute."
"What's wrong?" Natsu asked as the boys got up and walked over to see Treecko and Froakie fighting while the rest of the Pokemon tried to break up the brawl.
"Hey, what are you two doing!?" Gray asked as he raised his voice up.
"Treecko, Froakie! Stop fighting right now!" Ash commanded, only for the two Pokemon to not listen as they're too invested in the fight than what's happening around them.
Treecko and Froakie continue to fight while moving, unaware of a Mudbray eating grass.
"Treecko (Eat this)!" Treecko shouted as his tail glows white before slamming it.
"Froakie (Let's end this)!" Froakie croaked as his fist glowed white before he swung it.
*SLAP*
The two Pokemon slowly open their eyes and look to their right, only to see that they hit Mudbray's rear.
"MUDBRAY (THAT HURTS)!" Mudbray shouted in pain before delivering a hard back kick in Treecko and Froakie's faces, sending them flying in the air.
"Oh right, I forgot." Kiawe sighed and pinched his nose as Natsu and Gray looked at Treecko and Froakie flipping in the air from the kick. "Don't stand too close to Mudbray from behind or they'll kick you."
"Now you tell them." Gray said with an unamused tone while Ash runs over to catch his Pokemon.
"That's gotta hurt." Natsu flinched in pain.
"Pikachu (Good grief)." Pikachu sighed while his ears drooped down.
With the Girls
"Wow, there are so many Pokemon Eggs." Lucy said in awe as she, Erza, Mimo, Sima, and their Pokemon are in a room filled with Pokemon Eggs. "Do you really own all of these eggs?"
"We own half of them." Sima clarified, gesturing her hand over to the left shelf. The eggs on the right belong to trainers who left their Pokemon here."
"How did an egg appear?" Lucy asked.
"Pokemon Eggs appear whenever two Pokemon breed.." Erza explained. "Is that correct?"
"That's right." Sima answered as she took out a magic pen before drawing a diagram of how breeding works. "Ditto is the most common Pokemon to use for breeding because it's genderless and their ability to transform into any Pokemon. However, there are limits. Two Pokemon can create an egg as long as they're the same breed of Pokemon, evolution line, or Egg Group."
"Egg Group?" Lucy asked.
"It's one of the features in your Pokedexes." Sima said, prompting Lucy and Erza to take out their Pokedexes before going into the category: Egg Groups. Upon opening the list, they see a bunch of lists of Pokemon organized in each egg group.
"Wow, some of the Pokemon can have more than one egg group." Lucy said, impressed at how many egg groups are registered in the pokedex.
"Klefki (Impressive)." Klefki said, looking over Lucy's shoulders.
"So how do you take care of the pokémon eggs?" Erza asked, leaning slightly forward at the egg shelf.
"We make sure that the temperature is not too hot or too cold." Mimo answered as she adjusted the thermostat on the wall.
"And sometimes, we put them at ease like this." Sima grabbed a Pokemon egg nearby. She gently wrapped her arms around it, but made sure she got a good grip so the egg won't slip out of her grasp. She then starts rocking it slowly in her arms while using her upper arm to rub it gently while humming a lullaby.
"Saur (So relaxing)." Ivysaur said as she felt like every tension in her body was fading away.
"Hone… Honedge (This… This is peaceful)." Honedge yawned with a relaxed tone while Ralts started to doze off.
"It looks like the lullaby can affect Pokémon too." Lucy chuckled as she noticed her and Erza's Pokémon relaxing and falling asleep from the lullaby.
"It's what my mom used to put the Pokémon asleep." Mimo explained before holding out wipes.
"What are these wipes for?" Lucy asked as she and Erza grabbed one each.
"We also use wipes to clean the egg containers and the Pokémon eggs." Mimo answered.
"I can definitely see good hygiene being necessary for Baby Pokémon before and when they hatch." Erza said before lightly tapping Ivysaur and Honedge, snapping them out of their daze while Lucy did the same with Ralts and Klefki. "Alright, let's start cleaning."
Later at night
After hours of working and once everyone ate dinner, the fairy tail mages decided to stay at the ranch for the night. The boys are currently in their room sleeping while Lucy and Erza are sharing a room with Mimo.
While Mimo and Erza are sleeping soundly, Lucy is wide awake as she's sitting at her bed, wearing her pink buttoned up pajama shirt and pink pajama pants.
"Klefki (Lucy)?" The blonde girl turns around to see Klefki floating over to her trainer with a concerned frown. "Klefki Klef (Is everything okay)?"
"Are you worried about me?" Lucy asked with a smile before petting Klefki's forehead. "I'll be fine. I was just thinking about my upcoming contest."
"Klef (The one in Fleesia Town)?" Klefki asked.
"I'm both excited and worried that I can't stop thinking about it." Lucy admitted while looking out the window as the moonlight reflects within her eyes. 'If only mom can see it.' She thought before looking down with a sigh.
Lucy then feels Klefki nudging her cheek with a smile, trying to cheer up her trainer. Lucy looked over to see her Pokemon, prompting her to smile.
"I know it's late, but would you like to practice with me and Ralts?" She asked.
"Klefki (I'd be happy to help)!" Klefki cheered quietly so she wouldn't wake up Mimo and Erza.
"Great. Let's go outside." Lucy said, putting on her slippers and and quietly exiting out of the ranch with Klefki. The two make their way to the open field before Lucy sends out Ralts, who lets out a yawn. "Sorry to wake you Ralts, but I was thinking of doing some practice at night."
"Ralts (Practice)?" Ralts yawned before rubbing her eyes with a smile. "Ralts Ralts (Sure, I can train with you guys)."
"That's great. We just need to find a good spo-"
*CRASH*
"Ahh!" Lucy screamed as she was tackled to the ground. "Hey! What's the big idea for!?"
Lucy gasps and looks up to see a Tauros glaring at her, surprising the girl as her two Pokemon rush over to them in concern.
"(Hi pretty lady)!" Tauros moos as he licks her face.
"Hahaha, stop! I just took a shower!" Lucy laughs before recognizing Tauros with a small gasp. "Wait, you're the same Tauros from the flower field, aren't you?"
"(I could never forget a pretty face)." Tauros mooed with a smile, swishing his tail with excitement.
"Shouldn't you be in your stables?" Lucy asks with a stern tone, but stops once she sees Tauros' puppy eyes before she pets him. "Did you hear what I said?"
"(Yeah, something about a contest, pretty lady)." Tauros answered with a nod.
"I don't think we've met yet. I'm Lucy and I'm a Pokemon Coordinator." She introduced herself before gesturing over to Klefki and Ralts. "And over there are my Pokemon: Klefki and Ralts."
"R-Ralts (H-Hello)." Ralts waved timidly before looking away.
"Klefki Klefki (Don't tackle my trainer like that ever again)!" Klefki shouted with a pout, causing Tauros to frown.
"Don't be mad at Tauros, Klefki." Lucy told the Key Ring Pokemon, placing her hands on her hips. "He was just being affectionate."
"Klef Klef (Oh, I'm sorry)." Klefki apologized with a frown.
"(It's fine)." Tauros smiled as he licked Klefki, covering her face in saliva.
"Klefki (Eww)!" Klefki shouted as she shook her entire body, removing the saliva while Lucy and Ralts giggled slightly in amusement.
"Hey Tauros, do you want to see us practice for our upcoming contest?" Lucy asked.
"(Sure! I would love to see what you and your Pokemon have in mind)!" Tauros answered with delight.
"Sounds good. Now sit or stay where you are and watch." Lucy said as she walked over to her Pokemon.
"Ralts, Hidden Power." Lucy commanded while creating pink spheres.
"Ralts!" Ralts fired a barrage of energy balls in the air.
"Klefki, Mirror Shot." Lucy commanded while twirling and dancing.
"Klefffkiii!" Klefki's body becomes covered in a light blue aura. The aura then forms into a light blue orb of energy in front of Klefki's body before she fires a beam from her mouth at the orbs in the sky, creating fireworks.
As Tauros watches the performance, his eyes begin to sparkle in awe from the way Klefki is twirling and hovering in the air, Ralts teleporting in a rhythmic pattern, and the way Lucy's dancing style is both graceful and casual while they're laughing with delight.
"What are you guys doing?" Lucy and the three Pokemon froze in fear upon hearing a male voice. They slowly look over to see Kiawe and Turtonator making their way over.
"Oh, hi Kiawe." Lucy waved with a nervous laugh.
"Tauros, I thought I told you to stay in your stables." Kiawe said with a stern look on his face.
"Wait, it's okay." Lucy said while waving her arms frantically. "He was just watching me and my Pokemon perform."
"Perform?" Kiawe asked, losing his stern face while raising an eyebrow. "Are you a Pokemon Coordinator?"
"Yeah, I am." Lucy answered with pride before she laughed awkwardly. "Well, I'm still technically new since I don't have any ribbons. By the way, what are you doing up so late?"
"Since I'm busy helping out in the ranch, I decided to train with Turtonator at night." Kiawe explained before he and Turtonator swung a right hook forward.
"Turtonator (It helps us become strong)." Turtonator added.
"Wow, you two are totally in sync together." Lucy said, noticing their fighting pattern being similar.
"It's important for a Pokemon and its trainer to be in sync." Kiawe explained. "It helps them get stronger together."
"And it makes you closer to them, right?" Lucy added.
"That's right." Kiawe answered. "And I can tell you and your pokemon are in sync. But there's still room for improvement."
"Room for improvement?" Lucy repeated.
"You did say that you're still a new coordinator, so it's gonna take time before you and your pokemon are in complete sync." Kiawe explained while throwing another right hook along with Turtonator. "It's also important to stay calm while doing various activities with your Pokemon. Think of it as dancing. One wrong move can lead to a mistake."
"Like a sprained ankle?" Lucy asked with a sweatdrop.
"Well… That is one of the mistakes that you can get when you're not fully in sync with your Pokemon." Kiawe admitted while rubbing the back of his head.
Lucy notices a white bracelet with a red strap wrapped around Kiawe's left arm before saying- "Hey Kiawe, do you mind if I ask you something?"
"Sure, what is it?" Kiawe asked back.
"I was wondering about that bracelet of yours. Where did you get it from?" Lucy questioned.
"Oh? You mean this?" Kiawe said as he held out his left arm. "This is my Z-Ring."
"Wait, did you say Z-Ring?" Lucy gasped upon hearing the name. "I heard about them. A bunch of trainers wield them to use Z-Moves."
"That's right. You need a Z-Crystal in order to gather magic energy before performing Z-Moves." Kiawe said.
"So why don't you have one?" Lucy asked, noticing that there's no Z-Crystal inserted in the Z-Ring.
"It's because I'm not ready to tackle the trials yet." Kiawe said, looking at his Z-Ring. "There are a bunch of trials in Earthland and each of them have different Z-Crystals of each type. Heck, there are even some with unique Z-Moves for a specific Pokemon."
"That's incredible." Lucy smiled in awe.
"It is." Kiawe agreed with a smile. "This Z-Ring was given to me by my grandfather. Back when he was my age, he was a powerful Fire Mage, protecting people with his fire Pokemon. And his partner was Turtonator." He gestured over to his Turtonator.
"Turtonator (That's right)." Turtonator smiled.
"Wow, so your Turtonator originally belonged to your grandfather?" Lucy gasped in disbelief and awe.
"Yes. He gave Turtonator to me as a gift when I turned 10." Kiawe explained. "That's why when I finally become strong enough to use Z-Moves, I'll travel the world and become a fire mage just like him."
During their conversation, a bunch of dark clouds began to cover the bright full moon while the wind slowly grew stronger.
"Ralts/Klef (Is that)?" The two fairy types look up in the sky before Ralts begins to whimper in fear.
"Ralts? Klefki?" Lucy called out in confusion. "Is something wrong?"
"It's not your Pokemon." Kiawe spoke up, noticing Turtonator and Tauros' uncomfortable behavior. "Turtonator and Tauros are acting the same way."
The wind grew even stronger as the tree branches began to sway along with the wind, prompting Lucy and Kiawe to shield their faces with their arms.
"A storm!?" Lucy exclaimed with a small grunt.
"The weather forecast didn't mention anything about a storm!" Kiawe shouted in disbelief before gasping once he heard a bunch of Pokemon cries. "Oh no, the Pokemon!"
"I'm gonna call the others." Lucy said and starts to feel her pockets for her pokegear, only to feel nothing and remembers that she doesn't have it. "I left it inside with my stuff."
"Then it's up to us." Kiawe said. "Help me with setting up barricades."
"Right. Ralts, Klefki. I need you two to watch our backs." Lucy said as the two fairy types gave her a nod in approval.
As the six continue to make their way over to the stables, Pikachu's ears twitch and wake up to see them running in the storm before he looks back at Ash, Natsu, Gray, and Makarov sleeping.
With Kiawe and Lucy
Upon arriving at the stable for the Pokemon, Lucy and Kiawe began unfolding the shutters for the windows. After setting up two shutters, Lucy and Kiawe notice a bunch of debris flying towards both sides of the building.
"Turtonator, use Shell Trap!" Kiawe commanded.
"Ralts, use Confusion!" Lucy commanded.
"Turt!" Turtonator turns its shell at the debris. Once the debris makes contact with the spikes on Turtonator's shell, the spikes explode, burning the debris to dust.
"Ralts!" Ralts' eyes glow light blue, freezing the debris in place before Ralts thrust her arms forwards, sending the debris flying out of the area.
"That should buy us some time." Kiawe said as he continued to set up a few more shutters.
"Yes, but we gotta hurry." Lucy said with an urgent tone.
One by one, the shutters are fully set up with about two more remaining. During the time, Turtonator and Ralts continue to use Shell Trap and Confusion repeatedly until they start to become exhausted while it starts to rain.
"Oh no, I think Ralts and Turtonator are running out of energy." Lucy said in concern and noticed a bunch of debris flying towards the two. "Klefki, use Protect!"
"Klefki!" Klefki floats over to the two Pokemon before creating a barrier, protecting her, Ralts, and Turtonator from the debris.
"That should take care of the shutters." Kiawe sighed in relief. "Now I just need to-"
*ZAP! CRACKLE*
After a bolt of lightning struck the ground, the horde of Tauroses suddenly barged right through the door, running in fear.
"Crap, the Tauroses!" Kiawe exclaimed.
"Kiawe, watch out!" Lucy cries out as giant debris is flying towards the man.
"Horn Attack!"
"Poison Tail!"
"Iron Tail!"
Upon hearing the three commands, Kiawe looked up to see Heracross with a glowing white horn, Venipede with a glowing purple tail, and Pikachu metallic tail destroying the debris before they could hit Kiawe.
"Lucy! Kiawe!" The two trainers turn around to see Natsu, Gray, Ash, Pikachu, Erza, Makarov, and Kiawe's family running towards them.
"Guys! Thank goodness." Lucy sighed in relief.
"Kiawe, you're not hurt, are you?" Sima asked, hugging her son in concern.
"I'm fine, Mom." Kiawe reassured, trying to break out of the hug.
"What the heck happened?" Natsu asked.
"It's the storm. A bolt of lighting struck the ground and scared the Tauroses." Kiawe explained. "They broke through the door and ran out in fear."
"The Tauroses ran off!?" Rango exclaimed in fear.
"If they leave the ranch, then they're going to destroy the flower field." Ash said, looking to his right.
"It's not just the field. They'll destroy the homes of the Pokemon residing in the fields." Erza added.
Lucy held her hand over her mouth before feeling someone nudging against her back. She turns around to see a frightened Tauros.
"It's going to be okay." She reassured, petting Tauros as he started to calm down. She looks back at the horde before looking back at Tauros.
"Ash, let's get Starly and Fletching to go ahead and try to stop the Tauroses." Natsu suggested.
"I'm afraid Starly and Fletchling won't be able to fly in this storm." Erza denied. "It'll reduce their speed."
"Then we're going to need something stronger and faster to catch up to those Tauroses." Ash said in a panicked tone.
Lucy and Tauros looked at each other before giving each other a nod.
"This is going to be reckless, but are you ready Tauros?" Lucy asked.
"(It's the only way)." Tauros mooed as he turned to his side, allowing Lucy to climb onto him.
"Lucy, what are you doing?" Gray asked.
"I'm gonna stop the Tauroses." Lucy answered, shocking everyone.
"Lucy, do you even know how to ride a Tauros?" Ash asked in concern.
"I don't, but it's the only way." Lucy said with a determined glare. "If we don't act now, then this storm will destroy this ranch. And I'm not going to let that happen."
"Here, take this." Mimo said, tossing Lucy a whistle necklace. "This'll help you get their attention."
"Thanks Mimo." Lucy smiled and put the whistle necklace around her neck before looking at Tauros. "Ready to go?"
"(Ready)!" Tuaros answered with delight before running towards his brothers while Lucy struggled to regain her balance.
"Ash, Erza!" Makarov spoke up. "I want you two to focus on protecting the buildings."
"We won't let you down, Master. Requip!" Erza's body glows before she uses her magic to change into a gold and light blueish armor, dress, and a spear. The patterns and the breastplate resembling the pokemon, Manectric. "Manectric Empress Armor!"
"I'll use my aura barrier." Ash said before sending out Froakie and Treecko. "Froakie, Treecko. I want you two to help the other Pokemon with destroying the debris."
"Froakie/Treecko (You got it)." The two Pokemon nod in agreement.
"Froakie, we're going to need your frubbles as well." Erza said before sending out Ivysaur. "You and Ivysaur will be in charge of catching any eggs that may fall or fly out."
"Saur (Understood)." Ivysaur said before nodding at Froakie.
"Me and Mimo will help Froakie with the eggs." Sima said.
"You can count on us!" Mimo shouted with determination.
"Natsu, Kiawe, Gray. I want you three to repair the door." Makarov said. "Me and Rango will try and get the power to work."
"Pikachu, go with Rango and Master Makarov." Ash said. "They're going to need you."
"Pika (I'll help them)." Pikachu said before running over to Rango and Makarov.
Once the teams have been settled, each of them split up to their designated spots. Ash gets on one knee and places a hand on the ground, creating an aura barrier around the Pokemon shelter.
"Let's try and make this quick." Ash told the others while trying to stay focused, allowing Natsu, Gray, and Kiawe to gather wood and tools to repair the door. "I can only hold this barrier up for so long."
"You're right." Erza agreed as she held her spear up, causing the lightning from the storm to strike Erza without her taking damage before firing the lightning back up into the sky.
Meanwhile, Froakie uses his frubbles to create a cushion for the pokemon eggs and Ivysaur uses her vines to catch the falling eggs. Treecko, Turtonator, Venipede, Heracross, Klefki, and Ralts used long range attacks like Bullet Seed, Poison Sting, Mirror Shot, and Magical Leaf and close range attacks like Dragon Tail and Brick Break.
With Lucy
Lucy continues to ride with Tauros to catch up with the horde, which are about a few feet away from the two.
"I think I can see them." Lucy said, slightly squinting her eyes to shield them from the wind and rain. "Tauros, are you doing okay?"
"(I'm doing fine)." Tauros answered, but even he has a bit of struggle due to the strong currents.
"We need to go faster than the wind if we're going to bring them back." Lucy told Tauros as she sees that they're no longer in the areas of the ranch, causing her to gasp before blowing the whistle to command the horde to stop, only to get no response.
Tauros looks at Lucy for a brief moment before looking forward. He then lets out a loud cry and starts running faster while his horns starts to glow white
"Whoa!" Lucy yelps as she wobbles a bit before regaining her balance. She lets out a sigh before noticing that Tauros is using a move. "Wait, you're using Horn Attack to catch up with them. Smart thinking Tauros!"
"(Thanks)!" Tauros moos with excitement, blushing slightly from the praise.
"Alright, we're getting closer." Lucy said, holding the whistle with one hand. "Use Horn Attack, one more time and go around them!"
Tauros lets out another loud cry before using Horn Attack, increasing his speed more before going around the horde.
"Get me in front of them." Lucy told Tauros, prompting him to move towards the front while she blows on the whistle, causing the horde to slow down. She then signals her hand while blowing the whistle, allowing the horde to follow her and the young Tauros.
With the others
Erza fires another bolt of electricity into the air, but stops and gets on one knee from using her magic constantly.
"I must've overexerted myself." Erza panted from exhaustion before struggling to get up with a grunt. "But I must… keep... going."
"Erza, are you okay?" Ash asked, but flinches as his aura barrier starts to flicker from not just usage of magic, but from the debris bouncing off of it. "Damn it… Hey, are you guys done with the door?" He asked, glancing over at Natsu, Gray, and Kiawe.
"We're almost done!" Natsu answered while carrying a few wooden boards.
Meanwhile, the Pokemon that are destroying the debris are now exhausted from using their attack, causing them to duck for cover.
Natsu sniffs a few times upon recognizing a familiar scent. He turns around to see Lucy and the Tauroses making their way back.
"Hey, Lucy did it!" Natsu cheered with excitement before handing the wooden boards to Gray, prompting him to hold them up while Kiawe pounds his hammer onto the nails, eventually holding the door together.
"The door's fixed!" Gray shouted to the others.
"Ash, on my signal, drop the barrier." Erza told Ash, earning a nod of approval from the aura wizard.
"They better make this quick!" Ash shouted as the barrier started to flicker even more like it's about to dispel at any moment.
Lucy continues to blow the whistle while riding on the young Tauros so the horde won't run away from the ranch again. She then drops her whistle before shouting- "Drop the barrier!"
"Ash, now!" Erza shouted, prompting Ash to deactivate the aura barrier before collapsing from exhaustion as the Tauros horde quickly enters the stables. Once all of the Tauroses are in, Natsu and Gray close the door before Kiawe locks it.
"Phew, that was close." Natsu sighed in relief.
"Yes! We did it!" Lucy cheers and laughs until…
*ZAP! CRASH!*
"(Lightning)!" Tauros moos loudly and comes to a complete stop, but sees that Lucy flies off of Tauros' back and crashes into the ground, head first, before collapsing.
"RALTS/KLEFKI (LUCY)!" The two fairy types cry out in concern and horror as they rush over to their trainer.
"Oh no, Lucy!" Natsu gasped as the Pokemon and trainers immediately rush over to the unconscious Lucy.
"Lucy, are you okay!?" Kiawe asked in concern as Erza gently placed her on her lap. "Lucy, wake up!"
"Hang on." Ash takes off one of his gloves and grabs Lucy's hand so he could feel her pulse. "She's still alive, but we need to get her inside!"
"Mom! Dad! Get the first aid kit!" Kiawe shouted, causing Makaov and his family to walk out of their respective buildings.
"What's going on?" Rango asked before the four noticed the unconscious Lucy.
"Oh my goodness! I'll go get it!" Sima said as she quickly rushed into the house to grab the first aid kit.
"I'll help you!" Mimo said, following after her mom.
As everyone gets up and quickly brings Lucy into the house for medical treatment, Tauros looks at them from afar with a guilty look on his face.
The following morning
Lucy is currently in bed with a band wrapped around her forehead. She lets out a soft groan before opening her eyes.
"Wait, where am I?" She asked as she slowly got up and saw everyone around, causing her to scream. "W-Why are you all here!?"
"Calm down, Lucy." Natsu said, holding his hands up. "You were knocked out."
"I was?" Lucy asked before remembering last night's storm. "Oh yeah… I fell off of Tauros."
"Are you feeling okay?" Gray asked in concern.
"Brought you some MooMoo Milk." Ash said, holding out a bottle of MooMoo Milk for Lucy.
"Thank you, Ash." Lucy said, grabbing the milk before drinking it. "Wow, it's warm."
"It was Kiawe's idea." Ash informed.
"I figure something warm would put you at ease." Kiawe said.
"It's a relief to see you back up." Erza said with a smile.
"Klefki/Ralts (Lucy)!" Klefki and Ralts cry as they tackle Lucy into a hug.
"Don't worry, I'm fine." Lucy laughs while petting them.
"That was really brave of you, Lucy." Makarov commended.
"For what?" Lucy asked in confusion.
"For riding with Tauros into that storm." Kiawe answered.
"If it wasn't for you, then we would've lost them." Sima smiled.
"Guys, stop it." Lucy giggles awkwardly with a blush. "You're embarrassing me. Besides, you should be thanking Tauros. He was the one that helped me."
"But it was your idea." Rango stated with a smile.
"Hearing that story was so cool!" Mimo shouted with stars in her eyes. "When I grow up, I want to become a strong pokemon mage just like you!"
Those words widen Lucy's eyes slightly. She's still new at being a Pokemon Mage and Coordinator and she already has someone that looks up to her, causing her to smile and laugh.
"I know you will." Lucy said, patting Mimo on the head as the little girl giggles with a blush.
Few minutes later
After eating breakfast and recovering from last night, the Fairy Tail mages got dressed and are at the exit of the ranch with Kiawe and his family in front of them so they can say goodbye.
"Thank you so much for letting us stay at your ranch." Ash said with a smile.
"No, thank you." Rango said back with a chuckle. "If it wasn't for all of you, the pokemon and our business would've been ruined."
"We don't care about the bad things people say about you." Sima said with a wink. "To us, we'll always see you as the best guild."
"That's really flattering." Erza smiled before looking down at the container of MooMoo Milk in their hands. "But are you sure we can take these?"
"Yeah, I feel like this is too much." Gray said with a sweatdrop.
"Come on, you guys earned it." Kiawe smiled.
"Well, if you insist." Makarov said before chuckling with delight. "Then we gladly accept!"
"Hey, do you think we can share some of this with the guild?" Ash suggested.
"That's a good idea. I'm sure everyone would love it." Lucy agreed.
"Just make sure that there's still some for us." Natsu pouted.
"Hey, you can't hog all of them." Gray sighed while the others laughed.
"Lucy." Kiawe called out, causing the blonde to look at him. "Good luck in your contest."
"I'll be cheering for you!" Mimo exclaimed with excitement
"Thanks Kiawe. You too Mimo" Lucy said with a smile before looking over Kiawe's shoulders to see- "Tauros?"
Kiawe and his family have confused looks on their faces before turning around to see Tauros, who is swishing his tail with excitement.
"T-Tauros!" Kiawe exclaimed in shock and annoyance. "You're supposed to be back in the stables!"
"(Lucy)!" Tauros moos as he walks over to the blonde girl before licking her in the face.
Sima noticed Tauros' mood while placing a hand on her chin before letting out a soft laugh. "Well, I think Tauros likes you Lucy. Why don't you take him with you?" She asked, shocking everyone.
"Are you sure?" Lucy asked.
"Of course. Tauros can sense a lot of spirit within you." Sima explained with a wink. "Besides, I think it would be a great experience for him."
Lucy looks at Sima in awe before looking at Tauros. "Tauros, would you like to come with me?"
"(You bet)!" Tauros answers with excitement as he licks Lucy with affection.
"Hahaha! Okay, okay, let me get my pokeball!" Lucy laughs as she takes out her pokeball. "Tauros, let's get stronger together."
"(I won't let you down)." Tauros declared as he pressed his forehead against the button of the pokeball, causing him to glow red before materializing into the pokeball.
Lucy turns the pokeball around as the button glows red rapidly as it beeps numerous times before making a single click sound as three stars appear briefly.
"Alright! Welcome to the team, Tauros!" Lucy laughs while holding the pokeball in the air and holding her left leg up.
"Klef Klef Klefki (Hip hip, hooray)!" Klefki cheered.
"Come on, let's get going kids." Makarov said.
"Right. We don't want to miss your contest, Lucy." Ash said.
"I can't wait! Fleesia Town, here I come!" Lucy shouted as the fairy tail mages exited out the ranch while waving goodbye to Kiawe and his family, prompting to wave back.
During the walk, Lucy noticed Makarov walking a little slower than the others due to his age. To compensate that, she sends out Tauros while Erza puts Makarov on top of the young Pokemon before they continue walking.
"That's very generous of you, Lucy." Makarov said with a smile.
"Thanks. I just don't want us to leave you behind." Lucy said before looking at Tauros. "You ready to have fun on our adventures?"
"(I'm more than ready)!" Tauros moos before licking Lucy in face affectionately, causing her to laugh and pet Tauros. With a new Pokemon on her team, Lucy now has more confidence for her first contest.

THANK. GOD. It took a while to write this, but I'm glad it's done. Again, I apologize for not updating. A lot has happened in the real world for me, but I'm managing fine.
I hope you guys enjoy this chapter. The idea came from the Sun and Moon episode with Kiawe and his family's farm, which I think it was a good episode. I would like to thank the Third Dragneel once again for beta reading this and for the idea.
I know it's odd to see Lucy being all brave and all during the storm. It's because I wanted her to be a bit more active and brave in comparison to her anime counterpart. And this won't be the only time. And yes, Tauros is another reference to Lucy's celestial spirits: this time being Taurus. The other Pokemon she'll catch will be references to her celestial spirits.
