Hello and welcome back to another chapter of TPM!
I apologize for the delay. Juggling between doing artwork, writing stories, getting into games and shows, and real life is easier said than done. Thankfully I'm back to my creative mood and good timing too especially after the announcement of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl for the Switch. I'm honestly looking forward to that since Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum made me a fan of Pokemon in the first place.
To confirm what Erza's status is among the group, she won't be collecting badges or competing in contests. I gave her the same role that Brock, Cilan, Tracey, and Clemont had in the anime as I feel like it would fit her big sister role in the main cast. And don't worry about her Pokemon team, it'll grow as the series progresses.
In response to Kunoichi69, that's right. Lucy's Pokemon Team are references to her Celestial Spirits. So far, it's Klefki being her celestial gate keys, Ralts being Virgo, and Tauros being Taurus.
To recap what happened last time, the Fairy Tail Mages arrive in Fleesia Ranch to take a break on their journey to Fleesia Town. During this time, Lucy bonded with a friendly and young Tauros before catching it.
With a new pokemon by her side and with our heroes on their way to Fleesia Town, what's in store for our heroes? To find out the answers, let the journey continue!
Save File 11 - Silver Lining
Unknown Alleyway, Nighttime
In the alleyway, three street gang members are relaxing in a corner while sharing laughs with each other. As they continue to laugh, two of them begin to go through wallets and purses that they've stolen and found not just jewels, but a few spare pokeballs.
"Hey, we hit the jackpot." A tall male gang member chuckled with greed and delight.
"Be sure not to hog all of the goods, Henry." A short female gang member said while leaning against the wall.
"Don't worry, Bridgette. There's plenty of items for us." Henry said before glancing at the chubby member, who looks rather frightened like he saw a ghost. "What's wrong, Tucker?"
"I still can't get over what happened to Rick." Tucker said with a gulp.
"Rick just made a dumb mistake and decided to run away." Bridgette explained. "The Rune Knights were about to catch us and he made a sacrifice for us."
"That ain't what I heard at all." Tucker clarified as his eyes widened. "I heard that a Rogue Mage got him."
"Rogue Mage?" Henry laughs it off. "That's just a made up story people are spouting about to try and scare us away."
"It doesn't sound made up to me." Tucker admitted. "It's all over the news."
"Dude, there's no Rogue Mage." Henry clarified with a small glare.
"Are we going to split up the goods or not?" Bridgette asked with an impatient tone.
"Yeah, yeah, don't get your undies in a twist." Henry said, rolling his eyes until the three gang members heard faint footsteps.
"D-Did you hear that?" Tucker whimpered.
"Shut up so we can hear." Henry shushed before the three gang members looked over and saw one beating red eye in a shadowy corner. "Who the hell are you?"
The mysterious person refuses to answer his question as it continues to glare at the three. It changed its glance to a few empty purses and wallets on the floor before looking back at the gang members.
"If you're not to answer us, then walk away." Henry said, gesturing his hand to make the mysterious person leave. He lets out a scoff before creating a magic sphere made of poison. "Fine, then I'll make you leave!"
"Henry, what are you-" Tucker called out, but stops when he sees Henry launching the poison ball at the mysterious person, only to see that it stopped while being covered in red coats of magic.
"Poison Magic, huh?" The mysterious person said with a semi-deep male's voice before letting out a scoff. "I've seen many types of magic that are far more deadlier than this."
"Eh?" Henry gives the mysterious male a mean look before walking up to him. "Care to say that again to my face?"
"Why would I waste my time on some nobodies who think they are big shots?" The mysterious male asked with an apathetic tone.
"Watch your mouth or I'm gonna burn it off!" Bridgette shouted in anger before shooting a barrage of fireballs at the male.
"G-Go away!" Tucker screamed in fear as he fired a beam of dark magic energy.
"Pathetic." The mysterious male scoffed as the attacks stopped in place while being coated in red magic energy.
"H-He stopped our attacks like it was nothing!" Bridgette gasped in disbelief.
"Told you it's useless." The mysterious man scoffed as he lifted the poison, fire, and dark spells up in the air with his magic, merging them into one gigantic magic ball before chunking it at the thugs.
"C-Can we run now?" Tucker gulped.
"Y-Yes." Henry answered as the three thugs prepare to return their pokemon, only to be hit by the giant magic ball as it explodes upon making contact.
Once the smoke clears up, the mysterious man sees the thug laying on the ground unconsciously, covered in bruises while he notices a few rubbles as some of the buildings and walls have been destroyed. He then hears faint cries of people nearby before he walks away in order to avoid being captured by the higher ups. As he walks, he lets out a painful grunt and his singular eye squint.
"Damn, just one spell and that's enough to give me a migraine?" He cursed as he took out a mini bottle and opened it. He pours out a pill before putting it in his mouth and swallowing it during the walk. "Tch, whatever. A migraine is not going to stop me from what's more important."
Fleesia Town, Daytime
Upon entering Fleesia Town, the Fairy Tail mages can see different flower decorations, along with a few grass and fairy types exploring around alone or with their respective trainer.
"I've never seen so many Pokemon in one place." Ash said in an impressed tone.
"Pika Pika (It's like a Grass Type Paradise)." Pikachu smiled.
"This town is known for specializing in Grass and Fairy types." Makarov informed while riding on top of Lucy's Tauros. "That's why most trainers let their Pokemon out to enjoy the scenery and give them an opportunity to bond."
"Hey Ash, Erza, should we send out our grass and fairy types?" Lucy suggested as she took out two pokeballs.
"What a wonderful idea, Lucy." Erza smiled as she sent out Ivysaur.
"Come on out, Treecko." Ash tosses his pokeball in the air, sending out Treecko.
"Time to have fun." Lucy sends out Klefki and Ralts.
"R-R-Ralts (S-S-So many people)!" Ralts yelps and teleports behind Lucy's leg to hide herself from the massive crowd.
"It's okay, Ralts. There's no need to get embarrassed." Lucy reassured with a comforting tone.
"R-Ralts Ralts (I-If you say so)." Ralts nodded her head meekly before coming out of hiding.
"Ivysaur (We'll stay by your side)." Ivysaur extended a vine before using it to pat Ralts on the head, earning a cute giggle from the Feeling Pokemon.
"Treecko (A flower festival)?" Treecko asked before crossing his arms while leaning against Ash's leg.
Ash noticed Treecko's expression before crouching down and looked at his Pokemon with a smile. "Come on, Treecko. It'll be fun."
"Pika Pika (Give it a try)." Pikachu smiles.
Treecko looks at the two before a small smirk forms on his face. "Tree, Tree Treecko (Well, I guess it's better than staying in my pokeball all day)."
The Fairy Tail mages began exploring the streets of Fleesia Town. Tauros sees a bouquet of flowers, causing his mouth to start drooling with hunger from how colorful and delicious they look.
"Tauros, please don't eat the flowers." Lucy demanded before reaching into her bag and taking out a pink frosted mini cake with fruit toppings. "Here, why don't you snack on this?"
"What's that?" Natsu asked as he looked back at Lucy before drooling at the sight of the pastry. "It looks so good~"
"This is a Poke Puff." Lucy answered, keeping the Poke Puff away from Natsu. "They're a delicacy made for Pokemon. There are other various treats for Pokemon to eat like Poke Blocks, Poffins, and Poke Beans."
"Most of these treats are popular among Pokemon Coordinators, but they can also be used by all Pokemon Mages." Erza explained.
"Did you make them while we were out?" Gray asked.
"Yes. In fact, I've been making them way before I joined Fairy Tail." Lucy confessed with a small and warm smile. "It was tricky at first, but over time, I became better at it."
Tauros walks up to his trainer and sniffs the Pokepuff before eating it whole. He chews on the Pokepuff before licking Lucy's face. "(It was tasty)!" He mooed with satisfaction.
"I'm glad you like them, but don't eat all of them. I'm saving them for my contest." Lucy said while petting Tauros.
"You certainly got talent, Lucy." Makarov praised with a smile.
"Thanks Master." Lucy said with a bow before turning to the others. "If you like, I can teach you guys how to make Poke Puffs."
"I think it would be a wonderful learning experience." Erza said, slightly drooling at the thought of a strawberry themed Poke Puff.
"Uhh Erza? Why's your mouth drooling?" Ash asked with a sweatdrop.
"You know that Poke Puffs are better suited for Pokemon." Lucy said while she was caught off guard by Erza's strange behavior.
"That's right, you two don't know." Makarov chuckled. "When it comes to pastries, it's Erza's biggest weakness."
"Really? She has a sweet tooth?" Ash asked before recalling Erza eating a strawberry cake during the train ride to stop Eisenwald and eating the ice cream from Fleesia Ranch. "Now that I think about it, she has been eating sweets before."
"And she does look more happy when eating them." Lucy said before she and Ash jumped back a bit after Erza got up in their faces.
"Of course eating pastries makes me happy." Erza said with stars in her eyes and a small and prideful giggle. "Pastries are at the top of the desert pyramid. Not only are they a delicious delicacy, but they also give a warm and fuzzy feeling inside!" Erza then places her hands on her hips and looks up in the sky. "Pastries give you a feeling that you're a young child once again and they're very famous all over the world!"
"Ivy Ivysaur (Erza. You've eaten so many sweets lately, that you're gaining weight and starting to get a little chubby)." Ivysaur pointed out with a poker face.
"What's wrong, Ivysaur?" Erza asked, looking at her Pokemon as she used vines to gesture her own body. Erza stares at her Pokemon for a brief moment before blushing a bit and turning away to sulk with a dark cloud above her head. "I'm not that fat…" She said quietly.
"Is something wrong, Erza?" Ash asked in a worried tone.
"Don't worry about it." Erza replied quickly, still down and glum.
"Uhh ok." Ash said with a puzzled look on his face.
"Pika Pikachu (Should we tell him, Treecko)?" Pikachu asked. "Pika Pika (We did hear what she said)."
"Treecko Treecko Tree (Unless you want a new partner, don't say a word)." Treecko told Pikachu, obviously not wanting to put Ash and his Pokemons' life at risk.
"Pikachu (Good point)." Pikachu sighed.
"Tree (What the)?" Treecko looks over and tugged on Ash's pants sleeve.
"Treecko?" Ash looks down at his Pokemon, who is pointing forward to a crowd. Ash looks up and sees a few rune knights and worried people. "What's going on?"
"Oh crap, the rune knights!" Natsu screamed with a terrified look on his face. "Let's get out of here!"
"Wait, something isn't right." Gray halted Natsu before he and Ash walked towards the crowd.
"Everyone, please stand back." A rune knight orders while six more are carrying the injured and unconscious Rick, Tucker, Bridgette, and their Pokemon out of what's left of the alleyway. "I need recovery mages on standby. There's still a few more people who are in serious need of medical attention."
"All of those people and Pokemon…" Ash gasped in horror while he and Pikachu placed a hand over their mouth.
"Treecko (This is insane)." Treecko admitted while his eyes widened slightly.
"What are you two looking at?" Lucy asks as she, Erza, Makarov, and the girls' Pokemon walk over until they see the crime scene, causing her to gasp sharply. "No way…"
"How did this happen?" Erza questions as she even looks disgusted and horrified at the sight while Natsu gritted his teeth in anger.
Gray spotted a rune knight nearby before walking up to him. "Excuse me. Can I ask you something?" He asked.
"Sure, what is-" The rune knight turns to Gray before raising his shield and spear upon noticing the fairy tail emblem on Natsu, Erza, and Lucy. "Wait, you're from Fairy Tail!"
"At ease." Makarov spoke up as Tauros took him over to the Rune Knight. "We just arrived in town and my kids won't cause any harm under my watch."
"Y-You're the GuildMaster of Fairy Tail." The rune knight gulped before regaining his composure and turned to Gray. "You said that you have a question for me?"
"Yeah, we would like to know what happened over there and to those guys." Gray told the rune knight. "Do you know who or what caused this?"
"We've received numerous reports of a mysterious Rogue Mage attacking people and leaving behind collateral damage." The rune knight recited.
"Rogue Mage?" Ash repeated in confusion.
"Rogue Mages are someone who are not affiliated with the League nor with the Dark Guilds." Erza explained. "They're known for traveling alone with their Pokemon. It's extremely rare to see more than one at a time."
"Some rogue mages are considered good, but others are considered criminals if they decided to commit crimes." Makarov added with a small grumble.
"No guild affiliations…" Ash started before making a small serious face. 'I wonder if Paul's considered a Rogue Mage?'
"Do you know which Rogue Mage caused all of this?" Lucy asked.
"Ralts Ralts Ralts (Just thinking about them is making me scared)!" Ralts panicked in fear.
"Klefki Klef (It's going to be okay, Ralts)." Klefki comforted.
"We don't know his real name, but people started calling him the Crimson Warlock." The rune knight answered. "The victims that survive his attacks claim to have seen him with crimson eyes and short hair that covers his right eye."
"What about his Pokemon?" Natsu asked.
"That we don't know." The rune knight admitted before he sees his fellow rune knights going in the alleyway.
"If you're struggling with searching for people among the rubble, then we'll be happy to help out." Ash offered before realizing what he just said. "I-I'm not doubting the Rune Knights or anything!"
"It's fine, kid." The rune knight chuckled. "Even though you're all from Fairy Tail, I would appreciate the help."
Once the rune knight told the crowd to make room, the Fairy Tail mages and their Pokemon entered the remains of the alleyway and saw a bunch of debris scattered. Pikachu's ears twitch as he can hear a few groans and cries among the rubble.
"Ash, I want you, Treecko, and Pikachu to locate anyone that are stuck." Erza ordered.
"We're on it." Ash said as he sends out Froakie and Starly before the two follow Pikachu and Treecko in order to search the area. Ash closes his eyes and takes a deep breath before opening his eyes, causing them to glow blue.
"What are you doing?" Gray asked.
"Using Aura Eyes. It can help me see in the dark and also sense another person's magic energy." Ash explained, scanning the area.
"Wow, that would make you really good at stealth missions." Gray admitted with a smile before sending out Heracross, Snorunt, and Totodile.
"Do you need help tracking people down?" Natsu offered.
"I'm good, but thanks Natsu." Ash declined. "Why don't you help with clearing the rubble?"
"Sounds good to me." Natsu grinned as he sent out Charmander, Munchlax, Venipede, and Fletchling.
Venipede and Fletchling go over to help Ash, Pikachu, Treecko, Klefki and Starly search the area for people while Charmander and Munchlax helped Tauros, Erza, Natsu, Ralts, Honedge and Heracross with carefully removing the debris.
"It'll be alright." Lucy reassured as she picked up an injured person before looking back at the others. "We need to get some ice and cushions."
"Snorunt, Totodile, and I can take care of that." Gray said as he and Snorunt started to create ice after Totodile fired water from his mouth into a few buckets.
"Froakie, can you use your frubble to create cushions for everyone?" Ash requested.
"Foa (Got it)." Froakie saluted before tossing a few frubbles onto the ground.
"Nice work." Ash praised while using his aura eyes spell before pointing in different directions, gesturing the rune knights to where a few more injured citizens are at.
Lucy, Makarov, Ivysaur, Froakie, and a few rune knights carefully set the injured people down on the frubbles. A few recovery mages arrive and start using healing magic to treat their wounds while Gray places some ice over their injuries and foreheads if they have a headache or fever.
'Whoever did this is going to pay for all of this.' Gray thought with a scowl.
Natsu continued to move some rubble until he stumbled upon a few foot prints. He gets on the ground and sniffs them a few times before following them. He continues to follow them until the tracks stop at a dead end.
"What the? They're gone." Natsu raised an eyebrow. "Does this Crimson Warlock have some kind of Teleportation Magic?"
Later in the Afternoon
"Man, that was a lot of work." Natsu sighed, slouching in a chair as the Fairy Tail mages and the Pokemon are currently eating at an outdoor cafe with their Pokemon.
"I'm just relieved that everyone's going to make it." Lucy said. "But even I'll admit that seeing the damage was nerve racking."
"Now you kids know why the Council is always giving us the cold shoulders?" Makarov reprimanded with a slightly annoyed tone.
"Master Makarov does have a point." Erza agreed with a stern expression. "Our magic and Pokemon are powerful, so we must be mindful of our surroundings to prevent any more casualties."
"I know most of us will do better than others." Gray said as everyone changed their glances towards Natsu.
"Why am I getting blame for all of this!?" Natsu shouted in annoyance.
"Oh? You're saying that you're denying me and Master Makarov's request?" Erza asked with a sinister glare. "That's rather bold of you, Natsu."
"Eep! I'll do my best to not destroy any more buildings!" Natsu promised with a fearful look in his eyes.
"Thank you~" Erza smiled as took a sip from her cup of tea while Honedge struggled to push Heracross away, who's sucking sap from Ivysaur's bulb.
"Ivysaur (Why me)!?" Ivysaur cried as she used her vines to push Heracross off.
"Hera Heracross (Because your sap is so good)~!" Heracross answered, only to fall off of Ivysaur's back and received nasty glares from Ivysaur and Honedge. "H-Heracross (O-Okay, I'll eat my food)." He laughed sheepishly before eating his Pokemon food.
Ash patted Pikachu's head before he saw Gray looking down. "Gray, what's wrong? You don't like the food?"
"Huh?" Gray raised his head back up and looked at the aura wizard before shaking his head. "No, the food's fine. I just can't get my mind over what happened earlier."
"You mean that Crimson Warlock guy?" Natsu asks as everyone looks at the ice wizard.
"Yeah. Like why would he attack those goons and destroy an alleyway?" Gray asked with a serious expression. "What's he really after?"
"You're not the only one who feels that way, Gray." Lucy symphazied. "He must've known that he dragged innocent people and Pokemon into his mess."
"That jerk…" Natsu gritted before slamming his fist on the table. "I say we teach him a lesson if we run into him."
"Count me in." Gray said with a smirk. "We did agree to help those rune knights with tracking him down."
"Wait a minute." The two boys look over to Erza. "We shouldn't get too ahead of ourselves. None of us have any idea what his magic is."
"Erza's right. Plus, it's best if we inform the Rune Knights when we do cross paths with the Crimson Warlock." Makarov informed after setting his drink down. "We did agree to help them out with this investigation."
"But where do we start looking?" Ash asked. "The only clues we have are his hair and eye colors."
"I can track him down." Natsu answered with a semi-serious look on his face. "While we were helping out the rune knights, I founded his tracks and picked up his scent. But when I reached a wall, the scent went cold."
"Think he's capable of flight?" Lucy theorized.
"Or maybe he can phase through walls." Ash added. "One of the guild members of Eisenwald can do the same."
"Whatever his magic is, we must be on guard if he's that powerful." Makarov warned out of concern. "I don't want any of my kids and everyone else to suffer the same fate as those people did earlier."
"I will admit that he sounds scary." Lucy admitted before taking a deep breath to calm down. "But I'm not going to let that stop me. If I was able to help you guys fight Lullaby, then I can do the same thing."
"That's the spirit, Lucy." Natsu praised with a toothy grin.
Across the street, a mysterious figure walked past them while wearing a crimson red shirt underneath black opened frock jacket with a hoodie covering the majority of his face, red trousers, gray trousers, and black sneakers.
As the mysterious figure walked past the cafe, Natsu's eyes widened as he picked up a familiar scent, prompting him to turn around and abruptly stood up from his chair.
"Uhh, Natsu?" Ash spoke up in confusion.
"Is something troubling you?" Erza asked.
"I think he's nearby. The Crimson Warlock!" Natsu alerted in an urgent tone.
"He's still here!?" Lucy asked as she, Ash, Gray, Erza, and the Pokemon gasp in union.
"We better pursue him before he leaves town!" Makarov told the group as they returned their Pokemon, except for Snorunt, Honedge, Charmander, Pikachu, and Tauros. Erza picked Makarov up before setting him on top of Tauros.
"Let's go!" Natsu shouts as he and Charmander run off.
"Don't go too far ahead of us, Natsu!" Erza demanded as she and the others trail behind the dragon slayer.
"You kids focus on apprehending him! But please be mindful of your surroundings." Makarov pleaded with a strict tone.
"Then we'll have to keep him away from big crowds." Ash said as he adjusted his gloves.
"Charmander, Flamethrower!" Natsu commanded.
"Pikachu, Thunderbolt!" Ash commanded.
"Chaaaaar/Chuuuuu!" Charmander releases a stream of fire from his mouth and Pikachu fires a bolt of electricity at the Crimson Warlock.
"Fire Dragon Roar!" Natsu held his hands over his mouth before releasing a small stream of fire in order to minimize collateral damage.
"Aura Sphere!" Ash created an aura sphere in his hands before chunking it forward.
The Crimson Warlock simply lets out a scoff before holding a hand out without even looking, causing the attacks to freeze in place as they're coated in red energy.
"He stopped our attacks!?" Natsu exclaimed in disbelief.
"And he did it without looking!" Ash added.
"Charmander (No fair)!" Charmander pouted in rage.
"Is that telekinesis?" Lucy theorized.
"Whoever you people are, leave me alone." The Crimson Warlock told the fairy tail mages with a threatening tone.
"And what makes you think we'll listen to your demands?" Erza asked with a glare.
"You think we're just going to let you walk away after hurting all of those innocent people back at that alleyway?" Gray asked with an angry tone.
"Maybe this will change your mind." The Crimson Warlock scoffed as he slightly turned his hand clockwise, causing the aura sphere, flames, and lightning to change into mini javelin shaped energy.
"How did he do that?" Natsu gasped in surprise.
"I've never seen magic like that before." Erza admitted as the Crimson Warlock sent the attacks at the Fairy Tail mages and the buildings nearby.
"Watch out!" Ash shouted as he held a hand out and created an aura barrier to block the attack, creating a cloud of smoke. Once Ash drops the barrier and the smoke clears up, he can see the Crimson Warlock running in the distance. "After him!"
"We need to contact the Rune Knights for backup!" Erza informed in an urgent tone as the Fairy Tail mages and their Pokemon pursuit after the Crimson Warlock.
"I'll contact them. You kids focus on stopping the Crimson Warlock." Makarov said as he took out his pokegear, which is orange and blue, before he started contacting the rune knights for backup.
"Okay, we should be far away from the town by now." Lucy calculated before looking at the others. "It's going to get loud, so cover your ears."
"Go for it, Lucy." Gray said as he and the others slightly covered their ears.
"Tauros, I'm going to need you to use Uproar." Lucy commanded.
"(You got it, pretty lady)!" Tauros nods before charging forward slightly before letting out a very loud moo as blue sound waves come out of its mouth.
The Crimson Warlock glances back until he stops in place and covers his ears in pain, allowing Gray and Snorunt to jump forward.
"You're not going anywhere, pal." Gray declared. "Snorunt, Icy Wind!"
"Snorunt!" Snorunt opened his mouth and blew out sparkling blue snow.
"You freaks again?" The Crimson Warlock growled as the Icy Wind attack blew his hoodie back, revealing his crimson shoulder-length hair with a bang that covers his right crimson eye. "Didn't I tell you to stay out of my way?"
"Sorry, but we can't let you get away after what you just did in the alleyway." Gray said as he freezes the ground and traps the Crimson Warlock's feet. He then looks down and sees a trainer card on the floor.
"It was just a few buildings. What's the big deal?" The Crimson Warlock asked.
"I hope you're aware that you've endangered the lives of many citizens." Erza brought up with an angry glare.
"Honedge (Unacceptable)." Honedge said with an angry huff.
"We don't know what you're after, but you're going to pay for what you did." Ash declared as he took out his staff.
"Pika Pika (You monster)!" Pikachu shouted as his cheeks crackled with electricity.
The Crimson Warlock gritted his teeth slightly before noticing the fairy tail emblems on Natsu's shoulder, Erza's arm, Lucy's hand, and Makarov's shirt.
"That emblem… You're all from Fairy Tail, aren't you?" He asked before letting out a chuckle.
"What's so funny?" Natsu asked.
"I'm aware of your reputation of causing collateral damage." The Crimson Warlock answered. "You fairies sure love to go all out in your missions and cause a ruckus, not even considering the amount of people you have hurt. And yet, you go after a man who has done the exact same thing you all repeat for a long time? That would make you no different from me."
"Unlike you, we don't murder people and cause trouble on purpose!" Lucy shouted.
"Charmander Char (You're nothing but a jerk)!" Charmander roared.
"I will NOT allow you to talk badly of my children." Makarov said in an angry and offended tone as he hopped off of Tauros's back before glaring at the Crimson Warlock. "As Guild Master, I will make sure that you pay for your crimes. We even contacted the Rune Knights earlier and they'll be here any minute now to arrest you."
"So you're going to stop me regardless of what I said?" The Crimson Warlock asked as he adjusted his gloves. "You fairies are more stubborn than I thought."
"Look who's talking, Silver." Gray said with a glare.
"Wait, Silver?" Ash repeated as everyone looked at the ice mage, who held up a trainer card with the name [Silver] written on it and his profile picture.
"Maybe you should be more careful with your stuff." Gray smirked. "You dropped it when you were running."
"Hmph." Silver huffed as he holds a hand out and causes his trainer card to teleport back into his hands.
"What the?" Gray sees that the card is no longer in his hands before glaring at Silver. "So, you can use Spatial Magic? That would explain how you were able to leave the crime scene."
"My magic is nothing compared to Spatial Magic." Silver claimed as he raised his hands up and his eyes glowed red. "Arc of Reality: Reverse."
The ice on the field and encasing his feet starts to glow red before it slowly melts into water, surprising the fairy tail mages and causing Charmander to panic while he holds his tail up with his hands.
"He's melting the ice!?" Natsu exclaimed frantically as he picked up Charmander.
"Did he just say Arc of Reality?" Lucy said with a gulp.
"Do you know what it is?" Ash asked as everyone looked at Lucy.
"Pika (Is it bad)?" Pikachu added.
"It's one of the Lost Magics. I've only read about it in books." Lucy answered with a nervous expression on her face. "It can manipulate reality itself."
"You're telling me that this punk can alter anything!?" Gray exclaimed as he had a petrified look on his face. He has heard of dangerous magic spells before, but this is on a whole new level for him.
"Yes. Time, Space, all things related to reality." Makarov answered in a calm posture, but even he's a bit nervous from this discovery. "It's extremely dangerous to the point where it's considered to be the rarest of the Lost Magics. To think someone in the modern days is capable of wielding it."
"Since you're now aware of my magic, then you should leave." Silver requested bluntly. "You're obviously way out of my league."
Silver twiddles his fingers, causing the water to form into various spheres before gesturing his hands forwards, launching the water spheres at the Fairy Tail mages.
"Ice Shard!" Gray commanded as Snorunt fired a barrage of ice chunks at the spheres, freezing them in the process before creating blades made of ice and slicing them into pieces.
"You're starting to tick me off, ice boy." Silver scoffed in displeasure.
"If you think that you're so strong, then how about you prove it to me in a Pokemon Mage battle?" Gray challenged with a serious glare in his eyes.
"Gray, what are you doing!?" Ash gasped.
"I understand your bitterness, Gray." Makarov sympathized with a small angry tone. "But are you trying to get yourself killed!?"
"I didn't say that I was going to just beat him." Gray clarified as he grabbed his own shirt. "I'm also going to stall him so the rune knights can arrive and take care of him."
"You're gonna be okay battling him alone?" Lucy asked in concern.
"I'll be fine." Gray reassured with a small smile.
"If you lose, then I'm gonna be mad at you." Natsu warned with a grin.
"And we'll step in if he goes too far." Erza said.
"Don't worry." Gray smirked as he took his shirt. "Snorunt and I are not going to lose."
"Snorunt (Leave it to us)!" Snorunt reassured as he hops in front of Gray.
"If you think that you can beat me…" Silver started as he took out a black pokeball with green big spots and an orange line and button. He then tosses it up in the air. "Then you got a death wish, fairy!" The dusk ball pops open as Snorunt and Gray can see Sneasel appearing in front of them.
"Snea Sneasel (About time I get to have some fun)." Sneasel grinned evilly.
"Whoa, he has an ice type too." Natsu gasped as he took out his pokedex and pointed it at Sneasel.
[Sneasel - the Sharp Claw Pokemon. Sneasel blends into the dark of night to ambush its prey. If attacked, it suddenly extends the claws and strikes back with lethal slashes]
"Snorunt, watch out for those claws." Gray warned.
"Runt (Understood)." Snorunt nodded as he glared at Sneasel.
"Quick Attack." Silver ordered as he creates mini red spheres.
"Sneasel!" Sneasel smirked as he dashed forward, which looked like he teleported.
"That's fast!" Ash exclaimed.
"Pika/Char/Hon (Too fast)!" Pikachu, Charmander, and Honedge gasped in unison.
"I think Sneasel's faster than our Pokemon combined." Lucy predicted in shock.
"Snorunt, Headbutt!" Gray commanded in an urgent tone as he held his hands together to create ice.
Sneasel immediately rams into Snorunt, prompting the Snow Hat Pokemon to headbutt Sneasel in return as the Sharp Claw Pokemon slides back from the impact.
"Ice-Make: Lance!" Gray fired a barrage of ice lances towards Silver, causing him to launch his red magic spheres at the lances as they exploded upon collision.
"Metal Claw." Silver commanded.
"Sneas." Sneasel's claws flash white and then turn into iron. He swipes them in the air a bit before charging towards Snorunt.
"If it's fast, then we better slow it down." Gray said. "Use Icy Wind!"
"Snoooor!" Snorunt opened his mouth and blew out sparkling blue snow, only for Sneasel to swipe his metallic claws through the snow before he lethally sliced through Snorunt, causing the Snow Hat Pokemon to faint.
"Snorunt!" Gray cries out as he rushes over to his Pokemon and picks him up as he sees a graze on him.
"It… It took out Snorunt?" Natsu's jaw dropped in disbelief.
"I know Metal Claw is a steel type move and it'll be super effective against ice, but the way he uses it is terrifying." Erza admitted with a small hint of fear in her eyes.
"Are you okay!?" Gray asked in concern, earning a weak nod from his Pokemon. Gray lets out a sigh before taking out his pokeball. "Thanks Snorunt. Get some rest." He said before returning Snorunt back into his pokeball.
"If that's the best you can offer, then you're just wasting both of our times." Silver told Gray as he returned Sneasel before taking out another pokeball.
"I'm just getting started! You're going to pay for what you did to Snorunt!" Gray shouted as he sent out Heracross.
"Heracross (Let's do this)!" Heracross screams out a battle cry.
Silver simply lets out a scoff before tossing another dusk ball in the air, sending out a Magnemite.
"Magnemite. (Awaiting orders)." Magnemite stated.
"A Magnemite? But why a steel type against a fighting type?" Lucy pondered as she took out her pokedex and pointed it at Magnemite.
[Magnemite - the Magnet Pokemon. The magnetic units on Magnemite's body generate an electromagnetic field that allows it to float in the air and can increase its magnetic force by rotating the units on its side.]
"If this Silver guy knew that Gray's using a fighting type like Heracross, why is he using a steel type like Magnemite?" Natsu asked.
"He may have a trick up his sleeve." Makarov predicted. "All we can do is wait and see how the battle plays out."
"Charge Beam." Silver ordered.
"Magne, Magne, Mange, Mange…" Magnemite starts rotating its units rapidly as an orb of yellow electricity gathers in front of its eye.
"Dodge and use Brick Break!" Gray commanded as he created an ice sword before charging in.
"Heracross!" Heracross opens its back and flies up just in time to avoid Charge Beam. He flies towards Magnemite as his hand glows orange while Gray jumps towards Silver and prepares to swing his blade.
Silver holds a hand up and stops Gray's attack in place before using his magic to shatter the sword. "Thunder Wave."
"Magnemite." Magnemite buzzed as it emits a wave of yellow rings before it hits Heracross, causing him to crash onto the ground as yellow static electricity appears around the Single Horn Pokemon.
"What the?" Gray gasped before slamming his foot down on Silver, causing him to jump back to avoid the attack.
"So that's why Silver sent out Magnemite." Ash said while crossing his arms.
"I thought he would go for brute force." Natsu said while raising an eyebrow.
"Sometimes using an attack can lead your opponent into a trap." Erza explained. "And using Thunder Wave is just adding pressure to Gray and Heracross."
"Mirror Shot." Silver ordered.
"Magne, Magne, Magne…" Magnemite starts to rotate its side units rapidly while its body becomes covered in light blue aura.
Heracross gets back up on one feet, smirking as his eyes glow red. Gray notices this and smirks before turning to Silver.
"I think you overlooked one thing about Heracross." He told the Crimson Warlock while creating an ice hammer.
"What's that?" Silver asked before gasping once he saw Heracross letting out a battle cry as he was engulfed in crimson aura.
"Whoa, look at Heracross!" Lucy gasped.
"Where's that power coming from!?" Natsu exclaimed.
"Mander (He's more pumped up than before)!" Charmander's eyes bugged out slightly.
"Heracross, Brick Break!" Gray commanded as he sent the ice hammer towards Silver.
"Hit Heracross before he gets the chance!" Silver commanded.
"Magnemite!" Magnemite fired a barrage of metallic orbs at Heracross, only for the Single Horn Pokemon to power through the attack like its nothing while winding its arm up. Heracross' arm glows orange and raises up before slamming it down on Magnemite, causing it to bounce off the ground a few times before slowly hovering back up from the damage it took.
"How could I be so stupid to overlook Heracross' ability?" Silver cursed to himself before holding his arms up, coating them in red energy to take the hit from the hammer as he slid back.
"Heracross' ability?" Natsu asked as he and Charmander tilted their heads in confusion.
"That's right. One of Heracross' abilities is Guts." Makarov answered sagely. "When a Pokemon has a status condition, Guts can increase the user's attack tremendously."
"It can be a wild card depending on the status condition." Erza added. "So if Gray wants to beat Magnemite, then he better make this quick."
"Brick Break again!" Gray commanded as Heracross charges towards Magnemite, winding his arm back before it glows orange.
"Double Team." Silver commanded as Magnemite multiplied itself, causing Heracross to fall through a fake clone and crash on the ground while the paralysis kicked in. "Now use Charge Beam."
"Magnemite!" the Magnemites began rotating their side units rapidly.
"Heracross, dodge it!" Gray commanded as Heracross struggles to get back up, only to stop due to paralysis. "Crap, not good."
"Magnemite!" The Magnemites fire a beam of electricity, hitting Heracross before the Single Horn Pokemon faints.
"Thanks Heracross, you did your best." Gray lowers his head a bit in anger, causing his hair to shadow his eyes as returns his pokemon back into his pokeball while Silver does the same with Magnemite.
"No way, Heracross lost too?" Lucy places a hand over her mouth.
"(Poor Gray)." Tauros moos in sorrow.
"Just how strong is this Silver guy?" Natsu asked, starting to get angry.
"Guess that paralysis was too much for Heracross to handle." Ash frowned in sorrow and anger.
"Totodile, let's go!" Gray shouted as he sent out Totodile.
"Totodile (You're gonna pay)!" Totodile hissed at Gray.
"Are you even putting up a fight?" Silver mocked in an apathetic tone before taking out a regular pokeball. "Fine, I suppose we can get this over with."
Silver tosses his pokeball up in the air, sending out a Croconaw that's towering over Totodile.
"A Croconaw!?" Gray exclaimed in disbelief.
"Toto (What)!?" Totodile's jaw dropped upon seeing his evolved form.
"Croconaw (What's with that look)?" Croconaw mocked with a nasty glare.
"Now it's a battle between the evolution line." Erza said with a serious glare as she crosses her arms around her waist.
"Is he just adding more pressure to Gray on purpose?" Ash asked as he took out his pokedex and pointed it at Croconaw.
[Croconaw - the Big Jaw Pokémon and the evolved form of Totodile. Croconaw opens its mouth wide and attacks, and if it loses its teeth, they regrow quickly.]
"Totodile, Aqua Jet!" Gray commanded as he fired a few ice lances in the air.
"Totodile!" Totodile engulfs himself in a veil of water before propelling himself forward.
"We'll use Aqua Jet too." Silver snapped his fingers, freezing the ice lances in place. His eyes squint like he's in some sort of pain as Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Ash, Pikachu, and Charmander notice the gesture.
"Croconaw!" Croconaw engulfs himself in a veil of water before clashing with Totodile, eventually overpowering its pre-evolved form.
"Dig!" Gray commanded as he charged towards Silver.
"Toto!" Totodile stumbles back before using the momentum to jump up in the air before burrowing underground.
"Do you think that's going to trick us?" Silver asked with a scoff. "Aqua Tail into the ground."
"Naw!" Croconaw lets out a battle cry as his tail becomes surrounded in swirling water before slamming it into the hole Totodile made.
The ground below Gray erupts before Totodile is forced out of the hole thanks to Aqua Tail. Gray sees more red beams created by Silver flying towards him, prompting him to create an ice shield to block the attacks.
"Totodile, Ice Fang!" Gray shouted as he launched himself forward, creating ice blades to deflect Silver's attack before using them to block one giant beam.
"You think a direct approach will work on me-" Silver was interrupted when he felt a fist making direct contact to his face, causing him to flinch and slide back slightly as he saw Gray up close.
"Dile!" Totodile's fangs are covered in ice as he leaped towards Croconaw's tail before biting it, causing Croconaw to flinch slightly in pain.
"Yes! he and Totodile landed a hit!" Natsu cheered with joy.
"Char (There we go)!" Charmander roars with excitement.
"I think he might turn this around." Lucy smiled.
"I told you I was getting started." Gray reminded Silver as his hand started to emit cold air, creating a small ice chunk on Silver's face.
Before Gray can fully encase Silver in ice, he feels his entire body freezing in place as he's now covered in red magic aura. His eyes widen upon seeing Silver glaring at him with glowing red eyes.
"Now you definitely got a death wish." Silver said with an angry tone. He glares at Gray as his fist is coated in red magic energy, sending Gray flying up in the air. He teleports towards the ice mage before landing a few more lethal punches on his chest and nose, breaking the ice mage's ribs and nose in the process.
"NO GRAY!" The Fairy Tail mages cried out in fear and concern.
"Croconaw, use Crunch." Silver commanded.
"Croconaw (With pleasure)." Croconaw grins as he flings his tail upwards, launching Totodile up in the air until…
*CRUNCH! CRACK*
Totodile screams in pain as Croconaw is biting him strongly. Croconaw continues to strengthen his bite before tossing Totodile down on the ground.
"TOTODILE!" Gray cries out as everyone, except for Silver, has horrified looks on his face. He turns to Silver with an angry glare. "YOU'RE GONNA PAY!" He screams in rage as he throws a heavy punch at Silver, only for the Crimson Warlock catches his arm before twisting and breaking it as Gray lets out a painful scream.
"I told you. You're OUT of my league." Silver said bluntly as he used his magic to send Gray crashing into the ground next to his fainted Totodile. He flinches a bit before regaining his composure and creates two red magic spears as he's about to finish off Gray until…
*WOOSH*
Silver stood in place and his eyes wide in anger and shock as not only his spears were destroyed, but now he sees a furious Natsu, Ash, and Erza in his personal space. Natsu has his fist engulfed in intense flames and is inches close to the back of Silver's head while Ash and Erza, who changed into her Black Hydreigon Armor, have their weapons out and wrapped around Silver's body.
"Croc (Silver)!?" Croconaw looks back, only to see an angry Charmander, Pikachu, and Honedge surrounding him.
"GRAY! TOTODILE!" Lucy cries out as she, Tauros, and Makarov rush over to the unconscious Gray and Totodile. She gasps in horror upon seeing Totodile's injuries and Gray's twisted and damaged arms and legs.
"Hang in there, Gray! The Rune Knights are on their way!" Makarov informed, though he is worried and furious after what happened to one of his kids.
"You bastard…!" Natsu growled in anger.
"Take one step towards him. We dare you." Ash challenged with a glare.
"It's bad enough that you've hurt countless citizens, but this?!" Erza said with a glare that's angrier and scarier than her usual glares. "You've crossed the line!"
"Freeze!" Silver glances back and sees the rune knights surrounding him and the fairy tail mages while a few recovery mages rush over to Gray and Totodile to give them treatment.
"Looks like you got nowhere to run." Natsu told Silver.
"Bastards…" Natsu, Ash, and Erza raised an eyebrow upon hearing Silver's voice growing more venomous as his entire body glows red.
"Natsu, Ash, stay on guard." Erza told the two in an urgent tone, earning nods of approval from them.
"Bastards like you are always getting in my way…" Silver started as he covered his hands in magic energy. "I'll show you what happens to those who get in my way."
Silver immediately disappears in front of Natsu, Erza, and Ash's eyes, catching them completely off guard as they look around.
"Where did he go?" Ash asked, holding his staff up to stay alert.
The moment Charmander, Honedge, and Pikachu looked at their trainers, Croconaw was then called back by his pokeball, causing everyone to look up and see Silver, who was floating in the air while creating a giant red sphere.
"Say goodbye, fairies and puppets!" Silver shouted as he chunks the giant sphere down at the ground.
"Ash, barrier!" Erza shouted in an urgent tone.
"Take cover!" Ash warned as he placed his hands up and created a giant aura barrier, causing Silver's attack to stop in mid air while struggling to break through the barrier until both exploded, creating a cloud of smoke.
Once the smoke clears up, the fairy tail mages and the rune knights look up to see that Silver is missing.
"He's gone again?" Ash asked while coughing from the smoke.
Natsu sniffs a few times while glancing around the area before stopping. "I can't pick up his scent."
"Then he must've gotten away." Erza said, requiping back to her regular attire.
"Rune Knights! Search everywhere! We can't allow the Crimson Warlock escape!" A rune knight ordered as a few of them left to hunt down and arrest Silver. "And get that Fairy Tail mage to the infirmary, immediately!"
As everyone scatters around while the fairy tail mages hurries over to the hospital to save Gray, Silver is currently leaning against a tree a few miles away from the town outskirts. He places a hand over his head as he's suffering from a migraine.
"That damn ice fairy made me use more power than before." Silver growled as he took out his medicine bottle and put a pill in his mouth before swallowing it. "Not just those fairies, but those puppets from the Magic Council too… They're going to regret interfering with my business."

Holy crap, this was intense to work on and took a while to work on. I hope you guys were able to enjoy this chapter.
What do you think of the introduction for Silver? His magic was inspired from Scarlet Witch in WandaVision. I haven't seen the episodes, but I'm aware of the series and the plot points. And the reason why I made him the rival of Silver instead of Ash or Natsu is because I wanted to give him another rival so it's not just Lyon. Especially since Ash, Natsu, Erza, and Lucy will have more rivals that'll appear later on in the story.
I've always wanted to do a serious and a bit of a dark chapter in this series since the previous chapters were considered a bit light hearted in comparison to this chapter. This won't be the only time where a chapter in TPM will be dark and serious.
