here's chapter 8, its a sad one

Naruto and the freedom fighters eventually made it to their base hidden in the trees, Naruto had to admit it was pretty cool. Naruto was greeted as an honored guest. During the party Jet approached Naruto "Hokage, Are you enjoying yourself?" He asked, Naruto smiled brightly while holding a bowl of ramen "Absolutely! You guys make great ramen!" Jet responded "anything for the Hokage" Naruto looked sheepish. Jet proceeded to sit down with Naruto "So Naruto, We've heard that you go around and teach people your ways. How to protect themselves, How to fight" Naruto smiled "Yup, The villagers do pretty well for themselves, Nowhere near as good as bushy brows. But for villagers they're great!" Jet smiled "Well, Me and the freedom fighters were wondering if you could stay for a while, Teach us your ways" Naruto thought about it then nodded "Sure I can stay for a while" jet smiled proudly "Very nice" he then looked to the freedom fighters and raised a glass "A toast to the HOKAGE! He just agreed to stay and teach us his ways" everyone cheered. They all went to bed soon after.
It was a weird few weeks. Throughout Naruto's lessons Jet was constantly interrupting him and questioning Naruto or taking over his lesson all together. Naruto had fun with the freedom fighters, But Jet was an issue he openly disagreed with the idea of the cycle of hatred, Which concerned Naruto. So one day Naruto decided to follow them on one of their patrols inside of eating the endless supply of ramen they gave him. And Naruto discovered the truth, They were thugs. They harassed a fire nation couple walking through their forest. They took their money and valuables and were about to kill them when Naruto intervened "STOP IT!" Jet turned towards Naruto "Naruto I knew you were a traitor, Siding with the fire nation!" Naruto paused and thought back to what Jet told him during his stay. "Jet I know the fire nation hurt you, You feel unbelievable pain and hatred. But ask yourself, Do you really want to inflict that same pain on someone else? *Naruto pointed to the couple* the fire nation took your parents, Now you're about to take someone else's parents" the freedom fighters paused, Then the duke asked "Are the people we're about to kill like my mommy and daddy?" Slowly all the freedom fighters dropped their weapons. Naruto smiled then Jet yelled "TRAITORS! ALL OF YOU" he was about to rush Naruto when he was grabbed by two shadow clones, Jet squirmed trying to get out. But the clones just knocked him out. The clones handed Jet to Pipsqueak then disappeared, The real Naruto looked at longshot "Take care of him, Help him" longshot nodded. Naruto then looked at everyone else "I had a great time with you all, I'm sorry it has to end like this'' Naruto proceeded to leave the forest and continued on his journey to the eastern air temple, To see if what people said were true, That the Airbenders were all gone
*One year ago, Right after Naruto left the first village*
Sasuke was training with Lu ten when iroh walked up to them "Sasuke?" Sasuke stopped training and looked at him and nodded, Iroh continued "I was just writing a letter to my niece and nephew and I would like permission to mention you" Sasuke thought about it and said "Very well" Iroh smiled. Sasuke Continued Training with Lu ten till sundown, Sasuke felt a sense of pride Because it would be the last die training with wooden swords. Lu ten felt him ready to handle a real one. And Lu ten told him that one day he would make his own sword.
It was a big night. A few days ago Iroh and the troops had broken through the outer wall. And now they were celebrating their historic victory. Sasuke was currently participating in music night, Well Sasuke wasn't singing but he was present. Sasuke thought it was amusing the first time he's at music night and Lu ten isn't there, He was a part of the guard watch patrolling the area that night. Sasuke was just beginning to smile when a soldier entered the camp and yelled "GENERAL!"
Sasuke didn't know what to think, He felt that he was cursed, Cursed to not be happy. Lu ten was dead, He felt like he and Lu ten were starting to bond, Like Kakashi, But Sasuke knew any pain he felt couldn't compare with Iroh. The general hadn't left his tent in days, The soldiers were getting concerned, Iroh hadn't given them an order since he heard the news. Sasuke decided to be the one he walked up to Iroh's tent then entered. Iroh was wearing his under garments and covered in ash. He was looking at a painting of Lu ten and was weeping, Singing the song "leaves from the vine". Sasuke swallowed and said "General, The troops are awaiting your orders" Iroh looked back and said "What is the point?" Sasuke looked confused "General?" Iroh turned around "Sasuke, I am a fool, The war the glory. It is all pointless. I would give up all my fame and status just to see Lu ten again" Sasuke looked down "Uncle iroh" he said softly, Iroh had said to call him uncle after Sasuke had told him of his past involving his family and brother. "I know you're hurting, I know that pain. But don't let Lu ten's sacrifice be in vain. Let's take the city….for Lu ten" Iroh shook his head "No." Sasuke looked shocked "The city, The war, it is worthless if I lose my family, if my troops don't make it home to their families…..if earth Kingdom troops lose their families. It isn't worth it" Sasuke stayed silent then iroh continued "I will go home, To spend time with the family I have left"
Soon after Iroh and company left the earth Kingdom and shipped back to the fire nation, Sasuke went with Iroh. Sasuke couldn't leave him. When they arrived Sasuke was given the royal treatment at the request of Iroh. But Sasuke barely noticed, he was greatly confused as to why Iroh wasn't the fire lord. When he asked Iroh why he didn't fight for his birthright he simply said "The power of the throne would not bring my son back" that got Sasuke thinking, No matter how much power he got. It wouldn't bring his family back, Maybe it wasn't about power. But Sasuke quickly squashed that thought.
It had been a few weeks since Sasuke arrived in the fire nation, While in the palace he met zuko and Azula. Zuko reminded Sasuke of Naruto by how hard he tried and determined he could be, which made Sasuke both happy to have a knuckle head around again, But also upset because Zuko reminded him of Naruto and his decision to leave Naruto. But Azula was interesting. She was a prodigy like Itachi and to an extent like Sasuke, She constantly challenged him to fights and asked him questions about his powers and his origins. But what intrigued Sasuke the most about Azula was her personality and the way she thought. They both valued strength, So they got along well. Ozai was a different story, Ozai actually intimidated Sasuke, he seemed to hold more power than the Hokage of the leaf did. Sasuke went to the fire lord and offered his services if Ozai promised to do everything in his power to find a way for him to go home, To which Ozai replied with a smirk "Of course…Prince Sasuke"
So Ozai refers to Sasuke as prince because Sasuke been living like one for a few weeks. but also because of his power. all the higher ups know about Sasuke's Chakra , Ozai sees an Asset and he wants Sasuke on his no matter what
