here is when Sasuke starts getting to Canon, and Naruto starts training. there's a 3 year time skip coming up. just like wigh shippuden. and its works out real nice that zuko was banished for 3 years.

Naruto was at the very very bottom of a large mountain and at the top was the eastern air temple. Naruto was not looking forward to climbing all the way up there, maybe he could summon a toad to help. When suddenly Naruto paused. And fell to his knees "I'M SUCH AN IDIOT!" he yelled to the heavens "I could've summoned Gamakichi this whole time, I could've contacted Pervy sage a year ago! Sakura was right, I am an idiot" Naruto quickly bit his thumb and said "Summoning jutsu!" Out appeared Gamakichi "yo" he said with a wave Naruto cried tears of joy "kichi' you have no idea how happy I am to see you. Listen, I need you to tell the Pervy sage where I am and if he can get me home!" Gamakichi started waving his hands around "sheesh kid slow down, ol' Gamakichi can set you square. I'll be back in a jiffy" *poof*
Naruto started pacing back and forth about 30 minutes later Gamakichi reappeared with a large scroll on his back "yo kid!" Naruto frantically looked around "What?! Where's Pervy sage? You said you'd help?" Gamakichi sighed "Sorry kid he couldn't come, but he sent this" he handed Naruto the scroll which Naruto eagerly accepted. Gamakichi then left. Naruto just stood there, then opened the scroll.

Anyway I've got good news and bad news, the good news is that we know you're alive…..yup that's about it. The bad news is that there's no way for humans to get to where you are. You see the summonings jutsu take things from one place to another, well the place you're at now has 2 different worlds, the toads said that to get to where you are they had to pass another world and that it was filled with even more natural energy than Mount Myoboku, the creatures there said it was called the spirit world. Anyway the toads said that the second world isn't safe for us, that our chakra would disperse into the land and we would die. So we need to figure out a way to create a new summoning contract that skips over this second world and goes straight to where you are. Unfortunately as great as I am with seals I'm no uzumaki. they were your clan. A clan that was renowned for seals, but was wiped out for it. In this scroll I've filled in information about your clan's secret sealing jutsu and jutsu that I was gonna teach you, plus some of the fourth hokage's notes. In order for you to come home you gotta create a new summon contract, so study hard, I'll do my best and creat a couple theories about how the contract would work, but at the end of the day. Your gonna have to creat the seal. It's in your blood. I know with enough training you can do it

Naruto was shocked, he had a clan. For so long he thought he was alone, granted his clan was gone. But…he had a legacy, a family to honor. And he would do so, if his family was great at seals then so would he. Naruto then skimmed through the scroll looking at different jutsu. wind style, bigger rasengans, sage mode, and even a variant of the rasengan theorized by the fourth Hokage. Naruto was excited. Naruto put the scroll on his back for later, he still had a task. Naruto gathered a huge amount of chakra and summoned the toad boss Gamabunta, after some complaining about being used for mere transportation he jumped me all the way to the top then poofed away. Naruto looked around the temple for a while, then saw an old man with a long beard meditating. The man spoke "I have been expecting you, though what I did not expect was the giant toad"
Sasuke was shocked. He'd heard that Zuko spoke out during a war meeting about using fresh troops as bait, he was a little concerned when he'd first heard and thought little of it. But when he heard about the agni kai he became worried. During the duel Sasuke realized just how cruel a man Ozai was. It reminded him of Itachi, Itachi had killed his own family, Ozai had burned, shamed and basically banished his son forever by giving him an impossible task to complete.
Sasuke stood at the docks watching as Zuko and his new crew prepared to leave the fire nation…along with Iroh, Sasuke was conflicted, he wanted to go with Iroh, with the man who had shown him kindness in a way his own father never did. But Sasuke kept seeing the night his brother murdered his family replay in his mind over and over again. Sasuke was at war within himself, just like at the leaf village. Sasuke looked at Iroh as he prepared to leave. They locked eyes, but Sasuke's body wouldn't move, it's as if his subconscious wouldn't let him leave his greatest source of power, the fire nation. He slowly watches the ship set sail, Sasuke shed a silent tear. Then turned around prepared to make the most of his time in the fire nation, to train for the day he would kill Itachi
