here comes the time skip. we are now in the show timeline! finally made it

i own nothing

Naruto was meditating, perfectly balanced on a pillar of earth with a spiky top. His eyes were beginning to turn orange, but weren't quite there yet. Naruto sighed in discontent, he'd been practicing for two years. But he couldn't master sage mode, and it wasn't even his fault. Pa told Naruto that he would have mastered it if he could bathe in the special toad oil, but since he was stuck in the four nations he couldn't do it. So to do it the long way, though pa had told him he was doing incredible, that it should have taken him decades to learn let alone master it without the oil, but Naruto was almost there.

Naruto opened his eyes and gracefully jumped off the beam and landed on the ground. He had grown taller and his hair longer and spiker, and his clothes that he wore two years ago no longer fit, so the guru has given him air nomad robes, Naruto had taken what he was given and made it his own, he now wore orange and yellow robes with a red cloak.

(AN: his hair is basically Minato's, and with his clothes it's kinda like aang but also not, he's wearing yellow on the bottom, then orange robes in the shape of a vest. The classic air bender feet attire, but his cloak is his sage mode cloak, without the black flames. Look up traditional air bender clothes, the first one shows aang in different stages, it's kinda like the fifth one, but without the red cloak on top)

Naruto walked around the air temple looking for the guru, that man was remarkably good at hiding his life signature. Naruto had learned that he was a remarkable sensor, he could sense all kinds of life, but he could only do it when he opened the seventh chakra, Naruto didn't know why.

Eventually Naruto found him meditating

"you've come to say your goodbyes?" he said

Naruto still Wondered how he could always tell what he was going to say before he said it, and without even looking at him

"Yeah it's time I get back in the fight with the fire nation, and more importantly the cycle of hatred!" Naruto said as he slammed his fist on his palm

The guru chuckled "I wish you luck on your journey, young one"

Naruto was about to walk away, when he stopped and turned around "will you finally tell me who you're waiting for? You said you would guide someone powerful and important, someone besides me"

The guru got up and turned towards Naruto "very well, I have been waiting for the avatar"

Naruto was shocked "what but isn't he dead! And if he isn't, why isn't he helping?!"

The guru sighed sadly "unfortunately the avatar hasn't been in the world for the past 100 years. I can sense that he's returned, but before then his energy was still. As if frozen in time…I fear our avatar isn't ready for the world's troubles and until he is prepared, I will wait" he then returned to meditation

Naruto didn't know what to think, if the avatar wasn't dead why wasn't he helping? But if what the guru said was true. Then something had happened to the avatar. Perhaps he was sealed away, and only recently escaped. Either way Naruto has to find him, he may be a beacon of hope to this world "the Hokage" but he wasn't an Avatar. Naruto then bowed to the guru

"Thank you for all you have taught me, when the avatar is ready I will send him your way"

Naruto leapt into the air and began running towards the edge of the air temple, one he reached it

"Summoning jutsu!"

In a poof of smoke gamakichi appeared, he had grown as well, he was now about Naruto's height, "yo kid" he said with a wave

"Hey kichi, can you get me down the mountain?"

Gamakichi looked down the mountain "not a problem"

Naruto got on kichi' and sat down on him using chakra to stick to him as gamakichi jumped down, once they reached the bottom, gamakichi poofed away.

Naruto then looked at the vast landscape and yelled

"Watch out world! Naruto Uzumaki is back and ready for action!"

Sasuke sat on a luxurious chair with a monotone face, he wore fire nation robes that exposed his chest, then a thick black robe around his waist that held his chokuto. His personal sword that he built himself when he studied with piandao. Sasuke was currently in the fire nation royal training hall watching Azula train, intently. He needed strong allies if he were to take down Itachi.

(AN: basically his shippuden outfit, but with fire nation colors, and a black robe/belt instead of a purple rope)

During the past two years Sasuke and Azula had grown much closer, Sasuke had told Azula his goal in life. And more importantly why. Azula had in turn told him about her mother, and how she thought she was a monster and always cared more about Zuko. But unlike Azula, Sasuke didn't blame Zuko for the favoritism, he could also relate to the part about having selective not the monster part, he knew his parents loved him. Just not as much as itachi. Soon after sharing these secrets Sasuke offered to have her help him track down and fight his brother. She agreed. But Sasuke would constantly watch her to make sure she didn't deteriorate in her skill. Which led to the spar

"Yarghh" Azula yelled as she shot a blast of blue fire at her last opponent

she turned to Sasuke expectantly. Only for Sasuke to grunt

"hmmph"

Azula frowned slightly, she had become obsessed with Sasuke and what he thought of her. After she realized she couldn't control Sasuke through fear and just how powerful he was, she became fascinated with him, which later became infatuation, then obsession. Sasuke then proceeded to walk away from the arena, but then he turned his head slightly and said

"Good job…..Azula"

The way he said that made her skin crawl and her heart beat in a way nothing else could, and it terrified her.

But as he walked away a Messenger came saying that the fire lord requested Sasuke and her presence. They quickly made their way to the room.

Azula bowed on her knees, while Sasuke, Sasuke didn't. Sasuke didn't bow to anyone. He never did, and it only made Azula even more obsessed with Sasuke.

Ozai looked at Sasuke's disrespectful behavior with indifference, at first he was infuriated. But Ozai had come to accept it, Sasuke was far too valuable of an asset to lose. But now Ozai has a plan: he would give Sasuke a stick to chase, but eventually he would return to the fire nation. And he would stay forever.

"Prince Sasuke, I have news…. regarding your…home"

Sasuke immediately perked up. And Azula looked up with shock

"You see my dear boy, the avatar has returned…. Zhao has informed me that the former prince Zuko discovered him"

This made Sasuke stop. Zuko….and Iroh, those were names Sasuke had spent the last two years avoiding, it brought back painful and joyful memories, just like team seven. Like Naruto.

"You see Sasuke, the avatar is the bridge between the human and spiritual world….other worlds, sound familiar?...I believe that the avatar is your best shot at getting back to your land"

Sasuke looked up at Ozai, " .He"

"I'm afraid I do not know the exact location, he has been seen all over the earth Kingdom, but I am giving you permission to leave the fire nation. And search of the avatar, your way home"

Sasuke immediately left the throne room to gather his things, leaving Azula and Ozai

Ozai looked to Azula "go with him, I highly doubt the avatar is a way for him to go home. For the avatar is merely a child. But you must go with him, to ensure he fails…..to ensure that he returns to the fire nation, and when he returns…I will grant you your desire" he a stated cooly

Azula looked up with hope, but she was torn. Torn between her loyalty for her father and her…..love? For Sasuke, what she desired and what Sasuke desired. But burying all that for now she just nodded and said

"Of course father"

so with Naruto's seventh chakra thing, when he opens it it basically unlocks his uzumaki bloodlines, kinda like how an x-gene is unlocked at a certain age. well when naruto opens the chakra he has access to the eye of kagura, uzumaki chains, and the healing bites. but he won't know about it, like the chains are an instinct that can only happen when something emotionally happens, but it won't happen till later, because at this point, if naruto were to get to that level of anger or emotion he would go nine tails. and the charka thing has another use, it's basically the waterfall of truth, he's faced his darkness. when he opens the chakra he can't lose control of kurama(but he doesn't know that. yet.) evenutally opening the chakara will be a required step to go to KCM mode. it's like his own avatar state

okay involving Sasuke's and Azula's relationship...it's a complicated one. at this point azula is a broken soul, i think she always was, she just hide i well, but when mai and ty lee abandoned her it started leaking out, till eventually it boiled over. so any relationship azula has is going to be a toxic one,. at least this current azula, azula can and will change, but this version of sasuke can't change her, Sasuke can't help her until he himself changes.

this version of Sasuke is the beginning of shippuden Sasuke, where he's monotone, calm and powerful.

and involving what naruto and sasuke learned during the timskip stay tuned! like in the anime you'll just have to wait and see till they use their new jutsu or their improved fighting abilities

and this version of naruto is more serious at times, he's seen the horrors of war and has faced his inner demons. so personality wise, he's kinda like 4th shinobi war Naruto. he's an idiot yet a genius. silly yet serious. naive yet mature. he is Naruto. Not one of those OOC naruto's. he will be the lovable powerful idiot through and through.
