Once upon a time, in a place in Greece, specifically in Kallikrateia, there was a group of children who were very close. They all lived very close to each other and went out every day to have fun. Of course, not all of them lived permanently in Kallikrateia, but this was not an obstacle for their friendship. Their group consisted of 4 girls and 4 boys. The kids were there every summer and they weren't all the same age. They had a program that they followed every day. In the morning it included swimming and playing in the sea and in the afternoon walks until the night. One of the boys, Alex, who was Joanna's best friend, was in love with her but he didn't tell her. He was afraid that their friendship would be ruined and he would never see/talk to her again. So one day when he couldn't stand all this, he decided to talk to her. He texted her and asked her to talk on a bench near the beach. She accepted since the rest of their group would not be coming out. They met after an hour ,at the place they had said and Alex started talking to her.
A- Hello Joanna.
J- Hello Alex.
A- How are you?
J- very well, you?
A- not so well.
J- Why? What's wrong with you?
A - I've been wanting to tell you something for a long time, but I'm afraid.
J- What are you afraid of?
A- That we may not be friends anymore.
J- Why?
A- Answer me one question. do you have a boyfriend?
J- Yes, I have .
A- Oh , I didn't know
J- Yes you're right ,the truth is that I didn't tell you ,why my boyfriend and I decided to keep it a secret.
A- I wanted to tell you that I like you but I see someone else caught up with you.
J- Are you telling the truth or are you kidding me?
A - I'm telling you the truth. It's okay though, we can still be friends.
J- Alex, as you can understand, my boyfriend and I are having a great time and honestly, we can't be together. But that doesn't mean we'll stop hanging out as besties. No one will ruin our friendship.
A - Do you have a good time with him?
J- Yes
A- Do you think it can make you happier than me?
J- You're putting me in a difficult position now, because I don't want to hurt you.
A - I understood.
J- The time has passed and we must go home.
A- Yes.
J- Can you take me to my house?
A- Of course.
At that moment, Alex takes Joanna home and says goodbye to her.
A- Good night Joanna.
The next day the children meet at the sea. After two minutes, one of the boys asks Alex where he was last night because he was looking for him and couldn't find him and Alex replied that he was sleeping because he was very tired. After a while, the same question was asked to Joanna, who felt uncomfortable and answered that she had gone for a walk with her parents. In the afternoon of the same day, the children had arranged to go out for an afternoon walk.
Only Joanna did not go with them because she had arranged to go out with her boyfriend. In the next 10 minutes the children met and sat on the same bench they sat on every day and started talking about what they will do tomorrow. Suddenly, one of the girls says to the group ,look there is Joanna with her boyfriend. At that moment Alex turns his head to the left and sees them together. He starts to feel sad, but he doesn't want to show it because everyone will start asking him questions. So, he decides to go a little further down the beach to some rocks where there is a very nice view to calm down and relax. He didn't know how to react and started throwing stones into the sea out of his nerves. After a while, he feels someone hug him from behind. He turns and sees Joanna. Happy, he hugs her tightly and they start talking.
A- Nice to see you Joanna, how are you?
J- not so well.
A- Why? What happened? Who made you like this?
J- Before I tell you, can you give me a big hug Alex?
A- Of course.
Alex hugs Joanna and as he lets her go, Joanna gives him a kiss on the mouth.
A- Joanna what are you doing? You have a boyfriend, did you forget? We had a conversation about that yesterday.
J- Alex, I didn't forget anything. I broke up with my boyfriend.
A- Why? You loved each other.
J- I sat last night after our conversation and thought about some things. I decided to break up with Marco because I like you more. That's why we came out today, to end it. You know me better, I have a great time with you. Why not try it together?
A - Joanna, are you serious?
J- YES. I want to be with you forever.
Alex looks into her eyes and kisses her in front of the sunset.
A- You have no idea how happy you made me.
After a long time the children decide to go back to their group.
J- Do you want us to go back and tell the others the good news?
A- Yes, my love.
When they reached the others, one of the boys notices that Joanna and Alex are holding hands.
Boy- Oops, what happened? Hand by hand I see.
J- Yes we decided to be together with Alex since we both have feelings for each other.
Alex smiles and looks at her. Afterwards, the children were so happy that they wanted to organize a party at the sea without Alex and Ioanna knowing. They were sent to go for a walk for 10 minutes and then come back again. When they returned, happily, they saw the beach decorated. There was a fire and many tables with food and drinks . Apart from these and a huge speaker, which was playing music. They all happily had fun together until late in the sea.
