A/N — Disclaimer this is one of my first stories I'm writing about the Naruto verse. Yes it is Sakura Centric because believe it or not but she's actually my favorite character in the verse.
She starts out as genin in my story much like others since there isn't a lot of stories about Sakura. There's not a lot I can say about this without spoiling too much, but this does fall into Sasusaku endgame along with a few other canon ships and etc.
And much like always, disclaimer — I don't own Naruto or the verse I just own potential ocs and the plot since I though she could have some more characteristic traits that she didn't have in the original. Enjoy!

The night was young, the air felt too thick to breath in. In the distance of the gates to the home of many whom rest their heads, a long haired pinkette walk at a leisurely pace through the entrace of the gates.
Sakura looked up at the moon, lonely and longing, thinking intently. She stayed calm though as to not alert any one she may not know of her presence.
The lone pinkette walked back to her old compound, keeping her head down as she closed her eyes upon approaching the main house. She carefully brought her hand up and opened the door to the familiar building from her childhood.
She looked around the familiar interior. Scrunching her face up and balling her fist at the memories she had there with her parents, the memories that came flooding back after concealing them for what seemed like forever.
Her jade green eyes scanned the place before a deep yet strained sigh escaped her lips. She walked back to the door, thinking it would be best to wait a bit longer before remembering everything that had happened in the past few years. With that she took a step out the door, upon leaving she turned around and closed the door behind her and walked among the streets of Konoha.
She paused and came across an open ramen shop. She hadn't eaten in a while since every time she had tried to it either came back up or looked disgusting thanks to the trauma of seeing all the blood from her past. She walked under the hanging curtains, taking a seat on one of the stools. Ordering a bowl of miso ramen, putting down the money for it as she took her chopsticks in hand. " Itadakimasu.. " She said as she snapped her chopsticks apart and ate slowly.
After finishing her meal and thanking them once more she walked out and with a deep sigh, decided to go back to the place she had not been to in 6 years. A place that no longer felt like home but a place full of trauma and unwanted memories. She walked into the small apartment.
Taking a deep and painful breath as she summoned 4 clones, making them clean the place up while she organized the place to her liking. Not touching or even bothering to look at her parent's old room.
After a 2 hour cleaning session she began to walk up to her old room. Walking in and closing the door. She had already released the Justu for the shadow clones.
The emotions she was giving off was so heavy she just wanted to break and cry her eyes out until morning. But instead she looked at her palms, tricking her mind into thinking it's going to be okay.
She changed into her pajamas. Putting her hair up into a sloppy bun before walking over and laying on her bed. Her breath hitching as she finally, felt tears coming out.
It had been 3 years since she cried over her parents death but now she had just cleaned up what reminisced of it in the house. She had every right to feel this way. Gripping into a pillow as she stuffed her face into it and cried until she couldn't anymore. Darkness taking over her vision as the world led her into a nightmare that played over and over in her head.
Sakura had awoken finally, from the nightmare in the depths of sunlight which shone on her face through the pink curtains hanging on bars over her windows. She let out a panicked and disturbed sigh before letting her medical ninjustu do her justice and healing any signs that gave away hints of her crying the previous night.
After getting dressed and ready. She left her long pink hair in the bun it was in. Putting on her everyday ninja outfit and which is a red qipao-styled dress. Sakura also, of course, has her standard shinobi sandals and a dark green shorts underneath her dress to boot.
After finding herself somewhat decent she also put on a pair of black gloves Tsunade-sama had gifted her after leaving. She let out a small hum after putting them on. Going to the door and walking out before walking down the steps and going to the door. She looked back at the apartment once more before leaving and going to the academy.
After walking into the academy she stood just outside the classroom. Reaching out her hand and opening the door, only seeing one person at the moment who happened to be Sasuke Uchiha, brother of Itachi Uchiha whom she had known from her times with the Anbu who Tsunade-sama had introduced her to. She shrugged though as walked into the room. Eyeing which seat she wanted and took one by the window where she could gaze out of. After taking her seat, she rested the side of her cheek in her hand and looked at the sky. Keeping a neutral and emotionless expression. Her inner wall up mentally since there was no reason to have it down, hence not knowing anyone at the academy. It was her first day after all.
—After the graduation, meeting team 7.—
Sakura sat in her usual seat. She had just graduated and wore her forehead protector on top of her hair. On top of her hand and tied under. She glanced around the room with her emotionless expression, frowning and rolling her eyes as the named of the teams got called. That was until.. " Uzumaki Naruto. Haruno Sakura and Uchiha Sasuke. You are assigned to team 7. "
Her eyes widening before returning back to normal, she turned her attention to the 2 people on her team. Uzumaki Naruto, an optimistic blonde who states he's going to be hokage whenever you ask him about his dream. The same person who had to retake the graduation ceremony because of some shadow clones. And Uchiha Sasuke who had girls practically begging him to date them and choose them. The 2nd prodigy in the class and in his clan. He also held a neutral expression much like hers. She turned her attention back to the window though.
After waiting a few hours for their new sensei to arrive Sasuke and Naruto was arguing while she was annoyed over their bickering.
" Can you 2 please quit your bickering for 5 fucking seconds! You have been going at it for hours and won't shut the hell up! " As angry as she was at that moment she just wanted them to husk and she didn't mean to come off as rude but the worlds was against her every decision and it happened anyways.
" Hn. Annoying.. " the black haired boy turned away from the pinkette and the blonde who were both staring at him. He had a neutral expression on his face, mad however that a civilian was telling him what to do.
" Ah! Sorry Sakura-Chan, I didn't mean to annoy you. I'll stop! " The blonde looked at the pinkette with his baby blue eyes in understanding.
" Hm.. No need I apologize if I sounded rude I didn't intentionally mean for it to come out that way. " The pinkette sighed and apologized before a certain grey haired ninja entered the room.
A puff of dust erupting from his head due to a prank a certain blonde set up.
" My first thoughts on all of you... I hate you all. " The grey haired nin looked at the genin.
" Likewise, " A certain pinkette retaliated before huffing and looking away.
" Hm, Meet me on the roof. " and with that, he shushined to the roof in a puff of smoke.
The pinkette looked at her teammates as they took to the stairs, sighing as it was going to be a long day, she herself shushined to the roof but in a blur of cherry blossom petals falling behind her.
