Polly pulled the elastic out of her hair and ruffled her shoulder long, ginger red hair. She stared in the mirror and took in her crystal blue eyes. She had been told earlier that day that she looked hot and it only made her feel even worse. Not because of the words but because of the person who said it and how he said it.

She sighed at her mirror image, turned off the light, and left the bathroom. She just needed to get through school without anyone noticing her but it became harder and harder when she had those eyes on her. Dean Ambrose's reputation was well known around the school. The same with his friends Seth and Roman. No one ever turned those three down. No one until today where she had turned Dean down. There was no way she was going to let him inside the house. He had found out she was home alone for a week and tried inviting himself over for some fun time. That was how he had put it. Fun time. There was absolutely nothing fun about being with someone like him.

She walked through the dark hallway and out in the kitchen. She opened the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water. She stood in the darkness drinking from the bottle when she heard a noise in the house. It sounded like a door creaking. She stood still and listened. No more sounds came but she felt goosebumps running up her arms. She suddenly didn't feel alone.

Out of nowhere hands suddenly started banging on the kitchen window. She let out a little scream and dropped the water bottle on the floor. She looked at the window and saw two hands banging on it. Whoever it was, they were crouched down under the window so she couldn't see them.

"Fuck!" She muttered.

She ran out of the kitchen and into the living room. Someone started banging on that window too. She ran up stairs to her room, only to find her phone wasn't where she had left it. It was supposed to be on her desk but now it was gone. Someone had been in the house and taken it. Someone was toying with her.

"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!" She whispered.

She moved out of the room again and heard the banging continue downstairs. She snuck down the stairs and heard someone knocking on the bathroom window too. Three people were banging on the windows and she instantly knew who it was. None of them were known to take rejection well. There were rumors of people having been convinced to give in to them. No one wanted to use the words force and rape but she knew what people meant.

She snuck through the dark hallway towards the back door. As long as she could hear them banging, there was a chance she would make it out unseen. She made it to the door and saw the key was missing. She tried the door handle but the door was locked. Whoever had been inside the house was ahead of her. They could easily get in and overpower her but they wanted to toy with her.

She thought about the front door for a second but she knew she couldn't get out of it. It was right next to the living room window. Whoever was banging on it would be right there to grab her. There was only one thing she could do.

She snuck through the hallway and up the stairs again. Once on top of the stairs, the banging stopped. She closed the door to her room and found her room key missing too. She didn't have much time. The banging had stopped and that meant they were tired of that part of the game. They would come for her soon enough. She ran to her desk, opened one of the drawers, and pulled out her flashlight.

"Please, be home," she whispered.

On the other side of the street, Drew saw light blinking through his bedroom window. He was lying on his bed in the darkness, thinking about getting away from the home. He stood up and stared at the cone of light blinking in morse code. He and Polly often communicated like that. None of them trusted their parents so this was a way to talk in secret without anyone knowing. His mother had a bad habit of taking his phone and reading his texts. He liked Polly. She was his only close friend. If his mother knew about their friendship, she would do her hardest to end it.

"SOS," he said.

Polly was in danger. He moved over to the window and could see her standing in her room. The light was on in her room so he saw her clearly while she couldn't see him in his dark room. He reached for his flashlight to answer her but she continued without pause. He read the letters as she spelled the first name.

"D... E... A... N," he said. "Dean? What the hell is that fucker doing?"

She continued and started spelling the next name.

"R... O..." He said.

His eyes widened when he saw the door to her room open behind her. He waved his hands in the air and pointed behind her but she couldn't see him in the darkness.

"Polly! Behind you! Turn around!" He screamed.

Drew saw Dean sneak in behind Polly and grab her from behind. He could see her scream and try fighting her way free while Dean pulled her out of the room.

"No!" Drew snarled. "I'm coming for you, Polly. Hang on. I'm fucking coming for you."
