So I saw the trailer for the Kraven The Hunter movie a few days ago and got inspired to make a new fanfiction. This will be my third story, haha. If you can't tell I'm a huge spiderman fan along with Demon Slayer. Also my updates will take a little longer because of work and other personal stuff. Let me know what you think of this concept and have a good one!

Chapter 1: Awakening

A four year old Izuku Midoriya sat up in his bed when a loud noise woke him up. Something is different when he looks around his hero themed room. Even though it's dark he can clearly see everything as though the lights are on. He looks out the window when he hears the noise that woke him up once again. A flock of birds are flying above the apartment building that he and his mother live in. The sound of their wings flapping is like thunder to the poor young boy.

He covers his ears to try and drown out the deafening sounds while shutting his eyes tight. The noise scares him so much that he didn't realize he is crying. Suddenly he hears loud bangs coming towards his bedroom making him hide under his All Might blanket. The door slams open making him flinch at the noise. It's not until he feels the gentle touch of his mother that he calms down. She gently wraps her arms around him and pulls him into a hug.

"Shhh, it's ok my baby boy. Mommy is here. Everything will be okay."

Izuku stops shaking at the soft tone of his mother's voice. He peeks his head out from underneath the blanket to look at her. When she sees him she let's out a soft gasp that confuses him. The look of surprise on Inko's face changes to a smile that makes him tilt his head a bit. She gets up from the bed and offers her hand to him which he takes.

"Come on Izu. You'll want to see this."

She says to him softly, making him intrigued about what she's talking about. They both exit the bedroom and head to the bathroom. Once Inko turns the light on Izuku immediately shuts his eyes in pain. He falls to his knees covering his eyes while letting out a yelp. Inko turns the lights off at seeing her son in pain and rushes to his side. She apologizes while rubbing his back to help him feel better.

"Mommy, what's happening?"

The rush of his senses are overwhelming him, making it difficult to think properly. Every noise that he hears sounds like it's happening inside his head and everything he sees is sending too much information to his brain. His mother holds him close trying to soothe him. It takes a few minutes for him to calm down and get his bearings. They stay on the ground for a moment longer until he's ready to get up again.

"I think your quirk has awakened Izuku. We'll have to get you a check up in the morning. Try looking in the mirror."

He takes a moment to calm his mind so that his senses go back to normal. After a few seconds he stands up and looks into the mirror. His eyes are glowing like how a cat's eyes glow in the dark. He is shocked to see the affects that his new quirk has because it's not related to his mother's or father's. His mother's quirk allows her to pull small objects to herself with pulling motions and his father's quirk allows him to breathe fire. His quirk seems to let him see in the dark and hear things better than the 'normal' person.

His mother tells him to close his eyes so that she can turn on the light. He does so and takes a moment to brace himself for the brightness. Taking some time to blink the strain away he notices his eyes are slitted like a predator's before going back to normal. Inko also noticed the change to his eyes and looks fascinated at the reaction. They look at each other for a second and then hug in excitement.

"Does this mean I can be a hero mommy?"

Izuku asks his mother with all the innocence of a four year old. Inko can only smile at her son, seeing the determination in his eyes. She hugs him tighter as tears start to fill her eyes. She knows that the life of a hero isn't what they make it out to be on the news or in other media. There are struggles and pain that is left untold. Every motherly instinct wants to tell him no but the look on his face fills her with hope.

"I believe that you will be an amazing hero, but you will always be my baby boy."

Tears start to fill Izuku's eyes as well making Inko cry even more. Both mother and son hug and cry together with lots of love. After the water works they both head to Inko's bedroom and lay down together. Izuku feels safer and his senses aren't bothering him too much. He can hear the sound of his mother's heart beating and it calms him. The steady beating of her heart is like a lullaby that helps him drift off to a peaceful sleep.

-Next Day-

Izuku wakes up in his mother's bed feeling the sun shining on his face. She isn't in bed which worries him for a moment but the smell of something cooking tells him where she is. He notices that his sense of smell is a lot better than before because he can smell eggs, bacon, and toast being made. The sound of bacon sizzling fills his ears as if he's in the kitchen with her. His stomach growls loudly surprising him at how hungry he suddenly feels. He gets out of bed and makes his way to the kitchen.

When Inko sees him, she smiles brightly and motions for him to sit at the table. He obliges and sits at the table feeling his stomach rumble even more at the sight of breakfast being made. She places a plate of food in front of him and he immediately starts to scarf down the breakfast. When Izuku tastes the food it's like eating for the first time. Every bite is exploding with flavor like never before.

"Slow down Izuku. At least chew your food and enjoy it."

Inko says while watching him eat like a...animal? It takes a second for Izuku to realize what he's doing and he stops. It's like he lost control when he saw the food. He's never felt hunger like that before. Inko looks at him with a soft smile and gently places a hand on his shoulder. He looks at her in embarrassment and smiles back a bit. Inko sits down across from Izuku with her own plate of food and they both eat in silence.

After breakfast Inko calls the elementary school to inform them that Izuku's quirk manifested. While Inko is on the phone Izuku is getting ready for his quirk check up. He is in his room excitedly looking for clothes to wear to the check up. After both of them have showered and dressed, they head out the front door of the apartment. Izuku is wearing a pair of brown shorts, a white shirt with All Might on it, and a pair of red shoes. Inko wears a pair of black pants and a blue shirt with a flower design on it, and white shoes.

The walk to the train station is uneventful with people going about their morning. Izuku has to cover his ears from time to time because his hearing picks up the smallest noise as if it's coming from a speaker. Inko notices her son's pain abd stops at a store to buy him ear plugs to help. The feeling of the ear plugs bothers the boy but he'd rather have an uncomfortable feeling rather than pain in his ears. Another thing that Izuku notices is that his eye sight is picking up a lot of detail when he looks around.

'What is happening?'

He thinks to himself as he watches the birds in the sky. He can clearly see each one of the feathers on the winged creatures. A strange feeling of wanting to chase them fill his thoughts. He wants to catch one and sink his teeth into it-. Realizing what he is thinking, Izuku widens his eyes and shakes his head. Inko looks down at him wondering what he's thinking.

'Why would I want to eat a birdy? That's scary to think of.'

The boy thinks to himself as they arrive to the train station. It's fairly crowded with people heading to work or doing their daily tasks. Izuku can still hear the sounds of everyone and everything through the ear plugs but tries to not focus on them. They board the train and Izuku is hit with all kinds of different smells. The strong scent of perfume, cologne, and food is making his eyes water a bit so he leans into his mother and tries to hide his face.

"What's wrong Izu? Are you okay."

He only buried his face more into her shirt and doesn't say anything. She wraps an arm around him understanding that he's having trouble controlling his quirk. The train ride is spent with Izuku trying to not let his senses overwhelm him and his mother trying to calm him down. Other people on the train are looking at him in worry but Inko just shrugs them off and only pays attention to her son. They arrive at their stop and leave the train with minimal trouble from Izuku's quirk.

"We're almost at the hospital Izu, just hang in there."

Inko says, to which he nods at her and holds on to her hand. They walk in silence with Izuku trying to calm his senses down but failing. His attention snaps to a stray cat coming out of an alleyway. He can feel the stare of the small animal stab into him. The cat follows them as they keep walking without Inko noticing. Izuku feels like the cat is trying to communicate with him.

The hospital comes into view making Izuku let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. They make their way to the front desk and Inko talks to a lady who has horns on her head. Izuku can smell the cleaning chemicals and medicine that fills the hospital and it burns his nose. After the adults are done talking Inko takes Izuku's hand again and leads him to the elevator. Izuku can hear the elevator as it makes it's way down to them.

"Alright Izu, the room is on the third floor with a quirk specialist to examine you."

Inko says to him while pushing a button to get on the third floor of the building. Izuku nods still trying to get used to his heightened senses. When the elevator doors open Izuku's vision is filled with bright lights and white walls making him shut his eyes. Inko has to lead him to the quirk specialist's room by hand. They get to the room and Inko knocks politely.

The door opens after a moment and a tall man steps out of the room with a smile. He is wearing the usual doctor get up with tan slacks, a light blue button up shirt, and a white coat. Izuku can smell the man's cologne but doesn't mind the scent as it smells like chocolate. He steps aside so that they can enter the room.

"Welcome! You two must be the Midoriyas. I am Dr. Yakaz. It's a pleasure to meet you both."

He says politely to Inko and Izuku making them both smile at him. They enter the room and Izuku sits on the bed with Inko sitting on a chair beside it. Dr. Yakaz looks over a clipboard and nods at the information. He looks up at Inko making her pay attention. Izuku takes the plugs out of his ear making the man nod in curiosity.

"So your quirk awakened last night huh little guy? That must have been a surprise."

Izuku nods at what he says and looks around the room in amazement. There are all kinds of medical instruments around the room with quirk testing equipment mixed in. Something is off though, but he can't tell what it is. He can hear something faint like a bumping noise.

"I woke up last night cause the birds were being loud. And bright lights hurt my eyes. Everything smells so strong too."

Izuku lists the difference things that he knows are different now. The doctor nods while writing down the information. Inko has a worried look on her face because it seems like her son is suffering from his quirk. Izuku points to his eyes catching Dr. Yakaz's attention.

"My eyes also changed too. They looked like cat eyes then changed back to normal."

The doctor raised an eye brow at what the boy says and writes that down as well. He goes over to his desk and takes out a small magnifying glass. After checking the tool he walks over to Izuku and uses the glass to get a close look at one of his eyes. Izuku tries to keep his eyes open but the lights are still bothering him. Dr. Yakaz notices his discomfort and apologizes while turning off the lights.

"Okay Izuku, I want you to look at that wall over there and tell me what you see."

The room is dark with Izuku barely able to see his own hands. It takes a moment until the details of the room start to come back into his field of vision. It's hard for him to explain but the room looks lit up but still dark. He sees the wall that Dr. Yakaz is pointing at that has a paper with small letters on it. He squints at the paper and it's like his vision zooms into the paper making it clear to him.

"It says ' N A H F Z X' in tiny letters."

Izuku says looking back at Dr. Yakaz and his mother. He sees Inko clearly struggling to read the letters and giggles at the face she's making. The man is holding a small device that is aimed at the boy's eyes and it makes a clicking sound. He looks at the device and nods in fascination.

"I'm going to turn the lights back on so be careful where you look."

Izuku shuts his eyes and covers them with his hands not wanting to feel the pain like the night before. Even though his eyes are closed and covered he can feel the lights when they are turned on. He counts to ten before moving his hands and opening his eyes to look around. Dr. Yakaz is showing Inko the device that made the clicking sound and then shows it to him. He sees his eyes, but they are slitted like a cat's again. Not only that but they have a shine to them like how a cat's is when in the dark.

"Your quirk seems to be among that of a feline or predator. You can see in the dark and hone in on what you're looking at. Your pupils adapt or change depending on the circumstances."

Izuku listens closely to the quirk specialist with his full attention. He is thinking of how to use his quirk for rescue missions and helping people. His mother looks confused because it's the norm for a person's quirk to be similar if not the same as their parents or even a combination of both. Izuku's quirk is completely different from her's and her husband's.

And that's the first chapter of this fanfiction! I hope that you all enjoyed it so far. Like I mentioned in the beginning this was inspired by seeing the Kraven The Hunter trailer that came out like a week ago. Let me know what you all think of this concept.
