A/N: A little new something for you guys...has similarity to 'Setting Everything Right' in terms of its timeline, but still different. I hope you guys will enjoy it. I'll try to keep it updated as frequently I can. I do not own Harry Potter; it solely belongs to J.K. Rowling!

Warnings: Drama, mystery, language.

"Harrie, this way!" Hermione shouted at the top of her voice, grabbing Harriet's hand and running away from the Death Eaters as far as possible.

Harriet, Hermione and Ron had infiltrated the Ministry of Magic under disguise after learning that the Slytehrin's locket, one of Voldemort's horcrux, was in Umbridge's clutches. Their plan had proceeded perfectly for the first half till the effects of the Polyjuice potion had remained. But, they did not know how the Death Eaters had gotten hold of their location.

They had shown up unannounced, with baring teeth and curses flying out of their wands, and now they were on the trio's tail. Harriet, Hermione and Ron had made a run for their lives, but at some point Harriet and Hermione had separated from Ron and ended up in a dark corridor.

"I can't see anything," Harriet whispered, not wanting to give away their hiding place, "Lumos."

A bright light shot out of Harriet's wand, long enough for her to address her surroundings. "Pace up, Hermione."

The duo was speed walking now instead of running because they were sure the Death Eaters were left behind. Just as they were about to turn right into another corridor, they heard frantic footsteps catching up to them.

"Move your asses, would you!" A large roar from Yaxley sent Harriet and Hermione into panic.

Harriet was quick to put off the light with a 'Nox'. Grabbing Hermione's hand she stumbled in the dark yet again till her hand fell upon the smooth slope of a doorknob.

Harriet turned the knob and entered the room without inspecting twice.

"Do you see anything?"

"No."

"I think I can hear them getting close," Hermione whispered.

"Quick, in here then." On and on, they went. Deeper into the room that was apparently lined with floor-length shelves.

"Where are we, Harrie?" There was a tremor in Hermione's voice this time. The panic of the situation was setting in her nerves. They sat down abruptly to take a breath and waited for the footsteps to pass away.

"Do you think Ron…." Hermione's voice trembled yet again.

"He would be fine, Mione. We just have to find a way out of here. He'll be fine," Harriet reassured her friend by pulling her close to herself. It seemed that she was saying the words of encouragement more to herself.

Moments passed, but their peace was short-lived because the door of their hiding place was thrown open with a wild jolt. They stood up in alarm and quietly started backing away.

Suddenly, Hermione's leg imbalance and she fell hard into the shelf behind her causing the glass shatter into a million pieces, and alerting their attackers of their exact location.

"THIS WAY!" Fenrir Greyback shouted loudly.

"Shit, shit…." Harriet cursed, lighting up her wand again with a strong ' Lumos'. There was no point in scrambling away in the darkness, she thought.

"I got them." Another scream came.

"Hermione, RUN!" Behind them curses flew.

"BOMBARDA!" Hermione shouted.

"Levicorpus, Incendio." Harriet too shot out spells for protection.

" Crucio," Yaxley's curse missed Hermione's side by an inch's length.

They were so focused on the duel that they missed the other two Death Eaters standing behind them.

Harriet bumped right into Fenrir Greyback, his teeth snarling at them wildly, and realised that they were not only outnumbered but stuck in the middle of about a dozen of Voldemort's puppets.

The Death Eaters began laughing maniacally.

"If only you would understand Potter how stupid it is to run away from us." Yaxley mocked them, taking menacing steps forward.

Harriet's heart thudded loudly in her chest. She knew they were in deep trouble now. Suddenly, her eyes fell on the objects lining the shelves. They were clocks of thousands of kinds. Some small, some bizarre shaped, some had alphabets written on them instead of numbers.

The tick and tock of each clock mocked Harriet Potter of the situation she was in.

There were time turners too, of varying sizes and different materials flowing through each of them. Harriet nudged Hermione in the slightest, and as if coming to a silent agreement both girls attacked suddenly.

Wands clashed and curses erupted, but Harriet and Hermione fell down on one of the shelves, with a loud thud.

Their ears started ringing and the room filled with dazzling light. The last Harriet saw was Hermione reaching out to her and clutching her hand tightly, before everything went black.

Headboy James Potter was making his routine rounds on the deserted corridor of the seventh floor. It was his fourth day as the newly appointed Headboy of Hogwarts, and to say he was over the moon would be underrated.

After all, he'd worked really hard for this position. Thus, he was taking his responsibilities very seriously.

His happiness had only doubled in response when Head Girl Lily Evans had finally accepted his proposal after rejecting him for five long years.

Rounding the corner with hands dug deep in his pocket and a whistle accompanying him, James checked the time. It was 11pm. His shift was over. Hell couldn't wait to get back to his room and get ready for his bed because his day had been entirely too stressful.

The Headboy duties, NEWT subjects and the Quidditch practice were taking a toll on him. Thankfully, it was a Saturday tomorrow wherein he could sleep in without the guilt of missing any classes.

With one final glance, James started his journey towards his dormitories. His steps halted abruptly when he heard a loud thudding noise coming from the same corridor he'd been in moments ago.

Not thinking twice, James took out his wand and went back to the corridor.

"Who is there?" James asked as he got close to his destination. "Come on guys, it's way past curfew. I promise I won't report you. Who is it?"

Still he got no response. His breath caught in his throat when he saw the bodies of two young females lying unconscious on the deserted corridor of the seventh floor.

"What the hell?" James muttered to himself.

He was careful to go by their side and check upon them. Both the girls were unconscious but badly hurt. So, it didn't take him much time to alert the nearest teacher available-with the help of a Patronus- Professor Thomas Slytherin.

Soon, James to be joined by Professor Slytherin.

"What is it, Potter?"

"Sir…." James parted so that Tom could get a full view of the whole situation. A deep frown appeared in his face.

"They were just lying there. I didn't know what to do."

Tom himself did a quick inspection. One girl, he observed, had bushy hair and was wearing formal clothes. The other girl was wearing clothes that looked rather big for her petite form. This one has jet black hair and glasses on her face.

The common thing among them was the dirty clothes and various cuts on their face and hands. It looked as if they had been in a fight.

He was careful to go by their side and check upon them. Both the girls were unconscious but badly hurt. So, it didn't take him much time to alert the nearest teacher available-with the help of a Patronus- Professor Thomas Slytherin.

Soon, James to be joined by Professor Slytherin.

"Potter, go and inform Madame Pomfrey to get the beds ready for them. I'll tell Headmaster Dumbledore right away."

James nodded grimly and was about to leave when he was stopped again. " Go to your dorm afterwards, I'll handle everything from here. And remember James, not a word to your friends for now, not until the Headmaster has spoken to you."

The Headboy was quick to follow the orders given to him.

Meanwhile, Professor Slytherin levitated both the girls carefully, making sure not to harm them any further and started his journey towards the Hospital wing.
