The alarms blared throughout Tokyo-3 as Ramiel, the massive, floating geometric Angel, unleashed its devastating energy beam. Unit 00 and Unit 01 had already been critically damaged by the Angel's brutal assault. Even Asuka's Unit 02, with her fierce determination, struggled to find a way through the Angel's impenetrable defenses.
Misato slammed her fists against the command center's console, her voice frantic. "We need to pull them back before they're killed! That thing's too strong!"
Ramiel loomed ominously above the city, its pulsating energy core ready to strike again. The Evangelions scrambled to avoid the next blast, but nothing seemed to work. Just as hope was slipping away, a massive shadow appeared on the horizon.
The Godslayer.
The enormous, weaponized titan descended from the sky like a god of war, its silhouette cutting through the darkened clouds. Quest Strother, seated calmly in the cockpit, observed the situation with his usual detached composure. He sighed, more out of mild annoyance than concern.
"Looks like I have to clean up this mess again," Quest muttered, his voice cold, yet steady.
The Godslayer's thrusters flared to life as it accelerated toward Ramiel. Before the Angel could react, Quest deployed the Godslayer's array of weaponry—missile launchers, energy cannons, and plasma blades—attacking with a ferocity that dwarfed anything the Evangelions could muster. Ramiel's energy shield flickered, struggling to repel the relentless barrage.
"Watch closely," Quest said to himself, more as a passing thought than an instruction to anyone. "This is how it's really done."
With calculated precision, the Godslayer fired a concentrated energy beam straight into Ramiel's core, bypassing its defenses entirely. The Angel let out a final, otherworldly shriek before exploding into a cloud of vapor and debris.
In NERV headquarters, the command center fell into stunned silence. The monitors showed nothing but the remnants of the once-imposing Angel, now reduced to dust.
"He… He destroyed Ramiel… in a single strike," Ritsuko murmured, her fingers still on the keyboard.
Misato exhaled in disbelief. "Unreal…"

On the battlefield, Quest sat back in his seat, his mission complete. Another Angel exterminated. Nothing more to do here. As usual, he prepared to leave without a word, the Godslayer turning to ascend back into the clouds.
But before he could take off, something blocked his path—Unit 02.
Asuka's Evangelion stood defiantly in front of the Godslayer, her voice crackling through the comms. "You think you're so great, don't you?! Just swooping in and taking all the glory for yourself! I had Ramiel right where I wanted it!"
Quest rolled his eyes inside the cockpit, only half-listening as Asuka continued her rant, her voice rising with each sentence. "You might have the biggest toy, but that doesn't make you the best pilot! What's your deal anyway?! Why do you keep showing up, huh?!"
He sighed, barely containing his irritation. "You done yet?" Quest's voice came over the comms, icy and uninterested.
"W-what did you say?" Asuka sputtered, momentarily thrown off by his tone.
Quest didn't bother with an explanation. "Go cry about it," he said, his voice as cold as ever.
Before Asuka could respond, the Godslayer moved forward with a sudden burst of speed, its massive hand shoving Unit 02 aside like it was nothing more than a toy. Asuka's Evangelion stumbled backward, knocked off balance by the sheer force of the shove.
"Hey! What the hell?!" Asuka screamed, trying to regain control of Unit 02, but it was too late—the Godslayer had already taken off, disappearing into the sky like it always did.
In the cockpit, Asuka seethed with frustration, gripping her controls tightly. "That bastard! He just—he just shoved me out of the way! Like I'm nothing!"
In the control room, Misato rubbed her forehead. "Asuka, calm down. The battle's over. Let him go."
Asuka's voice came through the comms, still heated. "Calm down? Calm down?! He doesn't care about anything! And he just acts like we're in his way!"
Misato exchanged a glance with Ritsuko. They both knew Quest wasn't going to stick around for any explanations. He never did.
But this time, there was a growing sense among the team that they had to confront him sooner or later. The Godslayer was a force of unimaginable power, but Quest's motivations remained a mystery. And with each Angel that appeared, the stakes continued to rise.
One thing was for sure—Quest Strother wasn't going to stay in the background forever.
