By Friday morning, the storm continues to howl outside the Palm Woods. The boys and Katie tumble out of their beds, grab a quick breakfast, and attempt to brush off the gloomy weather.

"What a miserable way to kick off the day. I really dislike this," Carlos groans.

"At least we can have lunch in the classroom. Honestly, even if it weren't pouring, I wouldn't want to eat outside. It gets way too hot sometimes," Logan replies.

They all head downstairs to the classroom. When lunch rolls around, Jett strides over to Katie and Tyler's desks.

"Oh no, he's coming over to bother us. Brace yourself, Katie," Tyler warns, his voice tinged with concern.

"I'm ready to call for James to scare him off again," Katie retorts confidently.

"Can I join you guys for lunch?" Jett inquires.

"Are you actually serious?" Katie responds, skepticism dripping from her words.

"Yes. Nobody talks to me during lunch," Jett admits.

Katie rolls her eyes. "Gee, I wonder why. Could it possibly be your unbearable personality?" she replies, her expression unamused.

"I just think everyone here fails to recognize how incredible I am," Jett declares, puffing himself up.

Katie rolls her eyes once more. "As I said, no one wants to sit with you during lunch because of your truly unpleasant and mentally exhausting personality. Just leave us alone. Don't make me call James. He's only three desks away."

"Are Jett's antics getting on your nerves, Katie and Tyler?" James inquires.

"Absolutely," Katie replies.

"Jett, back off," James orders firmly.

"Whatever, they're not worthy of my incredible company anyway," Jett retorts, dripping with self-importance.

"We never invited you. You practically begged to join us. Why don't you go find a mirror to admire yourself in?" Katie shoots back.

"Wow, Katie, where did that come from?" Logan asks, a hint of worry in his voice.

"Just a lot of TV," Katie answers nonchalantly.

"That's not exactly a great influence," Kendall chimes in.

"She hasn't done anything wrong," Carlos defends.

As the final bell rings, the atmosphere shifts.

"We need to find something enjoyable to distract us from the dreary weather outside," Kendall suggests.

"What if we host a board game tournament? We could play as many as we can. It's a great way to stimulate our minds," Logan proposes.

"Or we could have a video game tournament instead?" James counters.

"That's not stimulating; it's just a way to fry our brain cells," Logan retorts.

James exhales deeply. "Sometimes, being your friend is a real challenge," he admits.

"I'm just trying to ensure we all have a bright future," Logan insists.

"Logie, as much as I enjoy our board game sessions, I have to agree with James. Video games are thrilling and fun. Sorry, buddy," Carlos says, hoping to soften the blow.

"It's alright, Carlos. I'm not upset with you. I'm sure my awesome hockey-loving roommate will join me," Logan says, glancing at Kendall.

"Oh, um, actually, I have a date with Jo. It just came up," Kendall replies, hastily pulling Jo away before she can weigh in.

James and Carlos follow suit, leaving Logan behind.

"Wow, it seems like none of my friends want to spend time with me. I must be incredibly dull," Logan sighs, feeling dejected.

"I'll hang out with you, Logan. We can have a cozy night playing all your favorite board games," Camille offers, trying to lift her boyfriend's spirits.

"Thanks, Cami, but don't you have plans with your dad? Like spending time together?" Logan asks.

"Nope! On Thursdays, he goes bowling with his work buddies. He won't be back for hours. It'll just be you and me in the apartment," Camille says, playfully batting her eyelashes, making Logan blush.

"Ooh, that sounds like a romantic evening," Katie chimes in teasingly.

Logan looks horrified, while Camille, Katie, and even Tyler burst into laughter.

"Katie, please refrain from such remarks," Logan gently chides.

"I was just teasing, Logan," Katie replies with a playful smile. "I apologize for scaring you like that."

"It's impossible to stay upset with you, Katie-Bear," Logan chuckles while tousling her hair.

"What do you and Tyler have planned?" Camille inquires.

"We'll be sketching. We enjoy fostering our creativity, much like the artist Bob Rost," Katie responds.

"It's actually Bob Ross. His name was Bob Ross," Logan corrects her politely.

"Well, at least I got his first name right," Katie counters.

"Yes, you did. Nicely done," Logan praises.

In Apartment 4J, Camille and her dad's cozy space...

"What board game should we kick off with, Logan? My dad and I have a treasure trove of options. We brought a whole bunch with us when we moved from Connecticut," Camille says, her eyes scanning the colorful array on the expansive shelf.

Logan lets out a heavy sigh. "I don't know. Just pick any one you like," he replies, slumped on the couch, his gaze fixed on the floor.

Camille pauses her search and turns to him, concern etched on her face. "What's bothering you, Logan? You seem really down," she says, settling beside him.

"I just don't get it. When I suggested we play some board games, Kendall, Carlos, and James just ditched me. I wasn't pushing them; it was just a fun idea for us to hang out as friends and brothers. They didn't want to join in. You saw it happen," Logan explains, frustration creeping into his voice.

"I know, and you mentioned that because of that, you think you must be boring. But you're not boring at all, Logan. You're a blast to be around! I'm here with you, right?" Camille reassures him, trying to lift his spirits.

"Yeah, but that's because you're my girlfriend. It feels like an obligation," Logan replies, still mired in gloom.

"It's not an obligation. I truly want to spend time with you," Camille insists. "You know how your friends are. You all have such different personalities. Sometimes they just don't mesh, and that's okay."

"That's right! How about we unwind with a game of chess? I think I'll find more tranquility here than in Apartment 2J," Logan suggests.

"You're on! I'm going to wipe the floor with you," Camille replies, her eyes gleaming with determination.

Logan chuckles nervously, fully aware of how fiercely competitive his girlfriend can be.

Hours later, the boys and Katie return to Apartment 2J for a dinner of spaghetti and meatballs.

"Logan, we're really sorry for ditching you when you wanted to play board games," Kendall apologizes.

"That was pretty uncool, guys. You just left me hanging. Do you have any idea how that made me feel? From now on, I won't even bother suggesting board games. Clearly, it's a way to push you all away," Logan responds, disappointment evident in his voice.

"No, Logan, that's not true. We still want to play board games with you. We really enjoy it," Kendall reassures him.

Logan sighs, skepticism creeping in. "Really?"

"Absolutely! After I pulled Jo away, she practically lectured me for abandoning you. When she's mad, she's terrifying! Is it just her, or are all teenage girls like that?" Kendall asks.

"Camille can be just as fierce with me if I pull off a skateboard trick she disapproves of," Logan admits. "But I get your point. Thanks, I appreciate your apologies. That goes for James and Carlos too."

"Katie, how did your art session with Tyler go? Did you have a blast? What did you create?" Kendall inquires.

"It was awesome! We really enjoyed it. Let me grab my drawing," Katie replies, dashing to her room and returning with a small sheet of paper.

"You drew a moose on a rock?" James questions, raising an eyebrow.

"No! It's a horse lounging on a beach chair! How could you mistake that for a moose on a rock?!" Katie exclaims, her frustration bubbling over.

"Well, it has antlers, and the seat is gray," James points out, trying to clarify his perspective.

"She's wearing a hat, and her beach umbrella is right next to her chair!" Katie retorts, exasperated. "This is awful! I'm such a terrible artist!" She crumples the paper in her hands, tosses it to the floor, and rushes back to her room.

"James!" Carlos calls out.

"What? I didn't mean to upset her," James defends himself.

"It's alright, James," Logan says, picking up the drawing and smoothing it out. "She's still figuring things out, and when her art doesn't match her vision, it's natural for her to feel upset."

"Exactly. She just needs to keep practicing," Kendall adds.

Logan makes his way to Katie's room and admires her latest creation. "This drawing is actually pretty good, Katie," he says, impressed by her artistic spirit. "A horse in a hat on a beach? That's so creative and whimsical." Handing the drawing back to her, he adds, "Keep it as a reminder to never stop improving."

Katie raises an eyebrow. "So I can remember my failure?"

"No, as motivation to keep growing," Logan explains.

After a moment of contemplation, Katie nods. "Okay, I'll hold onto it. Thanks for the advice and for not tossing it in the trash."

Logan smiles. "Honestly, the horse is not bad at all. You captured its essence pretty well."

"Thank you," Katie responds, feeling encouraged by his words.

"Are you ready to head back out and catch some TV? I bet Carlos is eager to watch Spongebob with you," Logan suggests.

"Sure," Katie replies.

They make their way back to the living room.

"Wasn't Lucas having a baseball party today to celebrate something special for his team?" James inquires.

"Yeah, but I'm really glad my mom didn't force us to go," Kendall says, flipping through a hockey magazine.

"Same here. We should plan something exciting for tomorrow. How about the beach? The rain stopped a couple of hours ago, and I think the forecast looks bright and sunny for the whole weekend," James proposes.

"A day at the beach sounds both fun and relaxing," Kendall agrees.

"I'm in the mood for bowling! It's so much more exciting than lounging at the beach," Katie exclaims.

"Absolutely! Bowling is a blast, and if tomorrow turns out sunny, it's going to be scorching outside. The sand will be like stepping on hot coals," Carlos replies. "No thanks to that."

"Alright then, bowling it is," Kendall agrees.

After indulging in an hour and a half of SpongeBob, they all head off to bed.
