"Isn't it amazing how inseparable he and Steven are? But why can't he just let loose and have some fun like a regular pooch?" Katie wonders aloud.
"He simply doesn't want to. It's like he's addicted to his job. At the end of the day, he refuses to take off his service dog vest. It's a constant struggle to pry him away from his duty. He's just so dedicated to being Steven's loyal companion, he never wants to clock out," Andy explains.
"It's truly remarkable. Most people crave relaxation after a long day's work, but this dog is always on the clock. His work ethic puts humans to shame," Katie marvels.
"Indeed," Andy nods in agreement.
"I find myself quite famished. How about you?" Katie inquires.
"Indeed. Let's move, Stevie," Andy responds.
Suddenly, James rushes towards them. "Friends, we have a predicament. Follow me; I'll brief you on the way back to the others. The news is rather grim."
"What do you mean by that?" Katie questions, her brow furrowing.
With a heavy sigh, Andy expresses his concern, "Oh dear, what has Hannah done this time? How many apologies will my father need to extend to the others in the park?"
"This time, Hannah isn't the issue at all," James clarifies as they begin their trek back to the group, detailing the unfolding events.
"Lucas did what?!" Katie exclaims, her astonishment palpable.
"My goodness," Andy gasps.
"He's a troublesome child," Steven remarks.
"Carlos, surely there must be a camera repair shop somewhere in San Francisco, right?" Katie asks, her voice laced with urgency.
"I'm not certain. We rarely visit this city and are not well-acquainted with the area. San Francisco is vast; it could take us all day to locate a place to repair my camera," Carlos replies, his voice trembling with emotion.
"Don't worry, Carlos. We simply need to inquire around," Kendall reassures him.
"My friend Naomi has an uncle who runs a tech repair shop. He can fix everything from big flat-screen TVs to smaller gadgets like iPads and even cameras, just like yours, Carlos," Hannah explains.
"Seriously? You're not just trying to impress your dad, are you? Is this for real? Your friend's uncle actually has a tech repair shop that can handle my camera?" Carlos inquires.
"Absolutely, I'm being honest," Hannah assures him.
"Since when have you ever been truthful or helpful to my friends? If your friend really has an uncle with a tech repair shop, then prove it. What's the name of the place? Where can I find it?" Andy challenges.
"I don't know the name or the location," Hannah admits.
"Aha! I knew it! You're just making this up! How could you raise Carlos' hopes only to crush them?" Andy exclaims.
"Hold on, Andy. I can just call Naomi to get the details we need," Hannah responds.
Andy rolls his eyes in frustration. "Then stop talking to me and do it," he says, still skeptical of her intentions to help Carlos.
With a sigh, Hannah picks up her phone and dials Naomi. "Hey Naomi, sorry to interrupt your lovely Saturday, but I need a quick favor. Remember when you mentioned your uncle who has a tech repair shop in San Francisco? Can you tell me the name of the shop and where it's located? Yes, I'm in San Francisco right now. I'll explain later. Just help me out with your uncle's shop, please. So, it's in that part of San Francisco. Is it within walking distance? No? So it's quite far? Thanks, Naomi. Bye." She hangs up.
