Upon reaching their destination, Ms. Knight steers into a parking lot just as she spots Mr. Mark's car rolling in, parking right beside him.

"What is this place?" Kendall asks, eyes wide with curiosity. "It looks like an amusement park."

"I believe it is," Ms. Knight replies, unlocking the doors so everyone can spill out.

"Welcome to Pier 39! A hub of fun and excitement. Are you ready for an unforgettable adventure, Carlos?" Mr. Mark exclaims enthusiastically.

Carlos merely shrugs. "Sure," he responds in a flat tone, letting out a sigh.

"Wow, Lucas, you really know how to drain the energy out of him. It's like you've sucked all the joy away," Audrey remarks.

"If he had just let me use his camera, he wouldn't be in this mood," Lucas retorts.

"Are you really going to pin this on me for my camera situation?" Carlos snaps, anger bubbling up. "I told you repeatedly that I didn't want to lend it to you because I had every right to say no. Instead of respecting my decision, you went and told your dad, and when I finally said no for the last time, you lost it and attacked me! This isn't my fault! You still haven't owned up to your actions, and that's really troubling!" His voice escalates with each word.

Mr. Mark steps in, pulling Lucas aside. "You're going to be grounded for the rest of the year if you don't stop bothering Carlos. Don't you dare blame him for your actions! This is on you, not him! Do you understand?! No more talking to him!" he commands firmly.

"Yes, sir," Lucas mumbles as they head back to the group.

Andy remarks, "I recently explored the online information about this venue, and it features arcades, games, rides, virtual shows, escape rooms, and even an aquarium. There is a section in the water where sea lions are resting on large pieces of wood. This establishment truly offers a comprehensive experience."

Hannah hands Steven his noise-canceling headphones, stating, "Here, Steven. I retrieved your noise-canceling headphones from the car, knowing that crowded places can be overwhelming for you."

Steven accepts them slowly, casting her a peculiar glance.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" she inquires.

"Do you not recall that every time Steven has worn his noise-canceling headphones, you have mocked him for needing them? On one occasion, you even hid them in the house just to observe his reaction, and you scolded him for being upset about their absence. You referred to him as a big blubbering mindless baby. How do you think that affected him? Did you take pleasure in making him feel sad? Is that your intention for the future, to keep him unhappy? You become upset if you suspect we have touched anything of yours, yet you felt it was acceptable to take his noise-canceling headphones and hide them? You impose restrictions on our belongings while claiming yours are off-limits? Your hypocrisy is evident. Cease the pretense of kindness; it has been apparent since our arrival in San Francisco. I recognize that you are merely acting," Andy asserts.

"I continue to tell you that I am not pretending to be nice," Hannah responds.

"And I maintain that I do not believe you," Andy replies.

With a sigh, Hannah expresses, "Steven, I sincerely apologize for hiding your noise-canceling headphones at home. I regret teasing you for being upset about them. I should not have interfered with your belongings and should have respected your property."

Steven rolls his eyes and walks away.

"He does not believe you, and neither do I," Andy states.
