Mr. Mark mentions the need to head home: "We need to get home, Lucas."
Andy agrees: "We do too. It was great riding with you and the guys, Katie. Thanks for teaching me and Steven how to play CastleBashers. We'll definitely need to buy that game to practice and improve our skills."
Katie responds positively: "You two are avid gamers like me. I'm sure you'll master that game in no time. I believe in your potential."
Andy expresses his thanks: "Thank you, Katie."
In Apartment 2J…
"This day has completely wiped me out. I'm so exhausted it feels like my head might just roll off my shoulders. My back is as wobbly as jelly. Good night, everyone," Kendall yawns, shuffling off to the room he shares with Logan.
"I think we should all take a page from Kendall's book and hit the hay. Today was a whirlwind for all of us," Logan suggests, heading toward the bedroom.
Sunday morning bursts forth with a dazzling brightness, the sun spilling golden rays that coax the Palm Woods residents awake, while cheerful birds chirp a joyful melody to one another.
"Ugh! Can those birds be quiet for once?!" Kendall groans, trying to muffle the sound with his pillow.
"Don't you appreciate their cheerful greeting to the day?" Logan replies, propped up in bed, engrossed in a medical journal.
"Absolutely not! They're way too loud!" Kendall retorts.
"What do you want, a giant cat to come and scare them off?" Logan chuckles.
"Ha, ha! Hilarious!" Kendall replies sarcastically, clearly unimpressed by the joke.
"I'm going to whip up some breakfast. Care to join me, or would you rather keep grumbling about the birds doing their bird thing?" Logan asks.
With a sigh, Kendall responds, "I'm coming," as he stretches, slips on his slippers, and follows Logan out. "What's cooking today, Chef Logan?" he asks, flopping onto the couch and switching the TV to the sports channel.
"You're a riot. I'm definitely not skilled enough to earn the title of chef," Logan laughs. "I'm making our usual fare: grilled cheese for you and James, hashbrowns for Katie, breakfast corndogs for Carlos, and an omelet with toast for myself. I'm sure your mom will whip up whatever she feels like, as always."
"Do you think your dad would want us there to ensure Lucas behaves properly at the police station?" Kendall inquires as Carlos enters the living room alongside James and Katie.
"I'm not sure. Maybe we should go. I enjoy spending time with my Papi, but I don't want to distract him while he's working. He needs to concentrate on helping Lucas improve his behavior," Carlos replies. "There are moments when he has to separate being a dad from being a cop. Sometimes, he can't juggle both roles."
"That's a valid point. You should check with him to see if it's alright for us to join his session on guiding Lucas' behavior," Logan suggests.
"Can I have candy for breakfast, please?" Katie chimes in.
"No, that's not healthy," Kendall responds.
"Oh, come on! Even on weekends?" Katie protests.
"Yes. This discussion is finished." Kendall turns his attention back to a hockey video on his iPad.
"Fun vampire! You're so bossy that you suck the joy out of everything!" Katie retorts.
"You whine so much that the color fades from the room! You bring a toxic vibe into the atmosphere!" Kendall shoots back.
Logan shakes his head at their trivial squabble and continues preparing breakfast. Suddenly, there's a knock at the door, and he opens it to find Jo and Camille standing there. A grin spreads across his face. "Good morning, girls! Would you like to join us for breakfast?"
"Sure, but is it okay if we come in?" Camille asks, noticing the argument between Kendall and Katie in the background.
"Seems like a rough time," Jo comments, wincing at the sibling tension.
"Oh, them? Don't mind it. Just a typical sibling spat. Jo, maybe you can help Kendall see reason and act like the adult in this situation with Katie," Logan suggests.
"Why can't you do it?" Jo replies, stepping inside with Camille.
"I've played mediator too many times over the years," Logan sighs, shaking his head. "I can't always be the peacemaker. My brain needs a break. I'm not Dr. Phil."
"Fair enough," Camille agrees. "It's lovely that you're making breakfast for everyone."
